"Usagi, where are you going?"
"Just going out to play!" Usagi was fastening her shoes to her feet by the door. She had a small bag with her, filled with cookies she made the night before. They were all misshapen and a little burnt but she was hoping to deliver them to Gohan.
"Come back before dark, okay?" Chi Chi was in the kitchen, none-the-wiser to Usagi's plans. West City was quite far, but with Usagi's ability to fly from her Saiyan genes the trip would be cut down generously.
If Usagi played her cards right, she could be back before Chi Chi would notice she had gone too far.
"Okay mom! I'm heading out now!" Usagi threw open the door in excitement, flying off. She did her best to recall how to get to West City, never having gone there herself. Chi Chi didn't allow her too.
Mom never lets me do anything, Usagi thought to herself. She supposed that Chi Chi had a reason to. She was extremely overprotective of her since the Androids laid waste to the planet and since Gohan left.
And especially since Goku had died. Usagi was the last piece of him Chi Chi had by her side.
But her mother's overprotectiveness was suffocating, Usagi had to spread her wings. No use being upset now, I'm free!
As Usagi flew, her pigtails trailed behind her. She twisted and turned between trees and mountains. Back when Gohan used to visit frequently, he taught her how to fly. Just thinking about it made Usagi's stomache knot. Now that he was training Trunks, she couldn't help but feel betrayed. Gohan was her brother after all, not his! It just wasn't fair.
Usagi squinted her eyes, seeing buildings in the distance. "This must be West City!"
Before she could proceed further, she was stopped by a girl in the sky.
"Halt!" the girl said. "You're not an android are you?"
"W-what? Android? Where?!" Usagi did a double take, looking around.
The girl sighed. "Nevermind, you're too stupid to be an Android."
"Wha— hey!"
The girl continued on. "You must be Usagi."
Usagi tilted her head curiously. "How did you know?"
"Your hair looks like rabbit ears. You're Chi Chi's daughter. My name is Rei." Rei gestured to herself.
Given the circumstances, the girls had never met. Rei never left West City and Usagi never left her house.
"Oh!" Realization flooded Usagi's face. "You're Trunks' younger sister!" Usagi then scowled. "Don't tell me he's around here..."
"He's actually training with Gohan right now." Rei stated matter-of-factly.
"Perfect!" Usagi began flying away, only to be stopped by Rei grabbing her leg.
"I don't think that's a good idea." Rei suggested. "You don't want to get in the way of their sparring."
"Then what am I supposed to do?" Usagi whined. "I came all this way..."
Rei went silent in thought, using her other hand to stroke her chin. "Let's go find Ami." she decided.
. 。 * ✧ * 。 .
Ami was scanning ruins with her visor, analyzing the destruction Androids 17 and 18 have done. It was what kept her busy most days aside from working with Bulma in the lab.
"Ami!" Rei called out in the sky with Usagi following behind her.
Even though they were just babies when they had met, Ami recognized Usagi. "U-usagi? What brings you here?"
"She came to see Gohan." Rei answered for her as they landed nearby.
"Oh." Ami frowned slightly. "Gohan doesn't stop training with Trunks until nightfall."
"Aw man!" Usagi buried her face in her hands. "Mom is expecting me back by dark!"
Ami couldn't help but feel bad for the girl. "I'm sorry..."
Usagi sighs. "You don't have anything to be sorry for."
Ami looked down briefly, taking her visor off. "You can stay, I'll take the blame from your mother."
Usagi perked up a little. "Really?"
Since Ami signed up for it, Rei decided to join in as well. "And me too." she added, crossing her arms.
"Gosh! You guys are the best!" Usagi threw her arms around them, bringing them in for a group hug."

As the sun lowered in the sky, the girls chatted and played together. Even had some of those cookies Usagi made. They weren't that good, so a lot was still left over for Gohan if he wanted any.
However, their fun had to end. Rei felt two very strong energies in the area. "Androids!" she shouted. "We've got to go!"
Since Ami was unable to fly, Rei grabbed her by the shoulders and carried her to safety. At first, Usagi followed them but stopped when she heard mewling.
From afar she could hear the Androids laughing as they shot energy blasts into the ground. Ignoring her better judgement, Usagi went to investigate.
She flew low towards the ground, just close enough to see what was going on.
"Come here kitty, so I can kill you!" Android 17 blew up some ruble, sending rocks flying. Usagi squinted until she saw a black cat cowering. The cat was covering her head, trying to protect herself.
Usagi came out of hiding to shield the poor cat. "Leave her alone!"
Android 18 cocked a brow, putting a hand on her hip. She looked down at Usagi. "Oh? I thought I sensed Saiyan energy nearby."
"Very weak energy though." Android 17 added.
"Ah well, it was nice knowing you." Android 18 pressed to 17's side as they both held one hand out towards Usagi, charging up a blast.
"No!"
Another stray blast stopped the Androids before they could do anything.
"Gohan!" Usagi shouted. He had hit them with a Kamehameha attack. "Get out of here Usagi, run!"
"Well if it isn't Gohan," 17 smirked.
"Where's that runt you started parading around with?"
"Right here!" Trunks flew up behind Usagi. "You heard Gohan," he said to her. "Go!"
Usagi nodded and gathered up the cat in her arms, flying away.
"Not so fast!" 18 acted quickly and shot Usagi out of the sky, causing her to tumble into the ground. No matter what, Usagi shielded the cat with her body. Even if it hurt her.
"Well that's runt number 2," 17 prepared to attack Trunks. "Now time for runt number 1."
This angered Gohan. "Face me instead! Trunks, you go and check on Usagi!"
"But—"
"Now!"
Begrudgingly, Trunks followed where he saw Usagi fall, searching among the ruins to find her. "Stupid bunhead..." he mumbled. "Why did you come here?"
While Trunks was doing that, Gohan was fighting the Androids alone. "Attacking a helpless child... You make me sick."
"You know..."
"... her energy..."
"... while weak..."
"... felt very similar to yours." the Androids said in tandem.
"Is she related to you by any chance?" 18 mocked. "Your daughter? Your sister?" They were purposely taunting Gohan to overwhelm him.
"No matter," 17 remarks. "After we're done with you, we'll kill her." Suddenly, the savage sibling rushed Gohan.
Meanwhile, Usagi laid on the ground semi-conscious when the cat began to speak to her. "You..." the cat said. "You saved me."
Usagi squinted, lifting her head up. She now noticed that the cat had a crescent shape on her forehead. "I had to..."
"I see now." the cat stood up and and held Usagi's hand. "You are Sailor Moon."
"Sailor Moon?" Usagi asked weakly. She vaguely recalled Sailors Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto who perished beside Vegeta, Piccolo, and the others.
"After all this time, I—"
"Usagi!" Trunks' exclamation cut the cat off mid sentence. "Usagi are you okay?" He landed beside her, beginning to pick up her body.
Usagi started to laugh before coughing violently.
"What's so funny?"
"You..." she smiled up at him. "Called me by my name."
Trunks didn't find that the slightest bit amusing. "C'mon, let's get you out of here." As he lifted Usagi up, the cat jumped onto his shoulders.
"My name is Luna." the cat had said. "Thank you for finding us."
"Thank me later." Trunks flew off, doubling back. He wanted to take Usagi and Luna back to Capsule Corp but a flash of light stopped him. "Oh no!"
"Wait, don't go!" Luna warned him. "Look! The Androids are flying away!"
Trunks waited until they were long gone before trying to find Gohan. "Oh no, oh no..." he repeated under his breath.
When he found him, he placed Usagi down and ran to Gohan's body. Luna stayed on his shoulders.
Gohan's limp form was still breathing but something was wrong.
"His arm..." Luna said. It was cut clean off.
