Between training Trunks and Usagi, Gohan grew in power even despite missing an arm. If he just focused on taking one of them out...

However, Android 18 was putting up a fight while her brother watched on. They both knew that Gohan didn't have a chance against the two of them. They were toying with him.

18 was pelting Gohan with energy attacks, many of which he dodged in order to get close to her. "Masenko!"

"Oh no you don't." 18 brought her limbs close to her body, charging an explosive wave to disperse from all over her body to knock Gohan and his attack away from her.

Gohan was sent hurdling, but not for long. He threw himself back into the fray. "Special beam cannon!" Gohan pointed his index finger towards 18, shooting her out of the sky. This prompted 17 to finally come forward.

17 held out his palms, charging an energy sphere.

Before he could even get this attack out, Gohan hits him with a masenko following up by getting close to 17 and palming him in the chest. Gohan then swung his leg around and kicked him down into the ground.

"Enough playing around!" 17 exclaimed as he recovered. "18, let's end this."

18 dusted herself off as she rose from the rubble. "Agreed."

No! Gohan had to put an end to this, now. He drew his arm inwards, slowly pushing outwards. "Kame..."

Androids 17 and 18 pressed together, each holding one arm out.

"Hame..."

They share a knowing exchange and nod towards each other.

"Ha!"

The Androids immediately counter the attack in a beam struggle. But Gohan gave it his all. Every bit of energy he had left, he gave in. However, it was very apparent he was not going to win. With only one arm his Kamehameha attack was severely weakened.

With their powers combined, 17 and 18's attack was too strong and eventually overwhelmed Gohan. They drove him straight into the ground, creating a crater.

"Well that was boring." Android 17 announced.

"Can we finally leave now?" asked an exasperated Android 18.

Android 17 shrugged. "Might as well."

The two flew off together, leaving Gohan struggling in the dust. As he took his last breaths, all he could think about is Trunks and Usagi.

It's all up to you now... I did what I could.

"Come on Usagi, use your compact and change into Sailor Moon!" chided Luna as Usagi held an unconscious Trunks in her arms.

She laid his head in her lap as she gazed out. "Gohan told me to stay here. He promised mom that we wouldn't fight the Androids until we were ready."

"Usagi..."

Suddenly, the air felt very thin. Gohan's energy was gone. This caused Trunks to wake up. "What am I...?" He looked up at Usagi who's face quickly paled.

"What the—!" Trunks bolted up, accidentally pushing Usagi aside. "Where's Gohan?!" Without waiting for an answer he bolted off.

"Trunks, wait!" Usagi held out her hand, trailing him, leaving Luna behind. But Trunks wouldn't listen, he simply pressed on.

In the distance he could see a deep crater. His lungs instantly filled with dread. "Gohan!" He flew down, trying to fight back the tears. He didn't want to believe it until he saw it.

Unfortunately, his fears were proven true. Trunks walked carefully towards the center of the crater, his footsteps not even making a sound. In the middle was Gohan laying face up, his eyes still open. All life he had left in him was gone.

Anger coursed through Trunks' blood. Anger for what the Androids did to his closest friend. Anger for everything they've done up until this point.

As Usagi approached, she was blinded by the golden light emanating from Trunks' body. She has to shield her eyes.

He was becoming a Super Saiyan.

Trunks cried out towards the sky, falling to his knees in anguish. Usagi decided to keep her distance. The slightest glance at Gohan's body made her want to throw up.

It was in this moment where Usagi's fighting spirit would die along with Gohan.

Many years would go by and the world was still under the tyranny of the Androids. However, hope would grow in certain parts of the world.

While Trunks continued training to grow stronger, a new hero popped up.

Sailor V, also known as Minako.

As a little girl Minako left Kame House on the back of Turtle, leaving her mother and Makoto behind. She couldn't stand to stay in that house anymore. She wanted to be more like her father, Tien and train to be a martial artist.

Makoto stayed behind, preferring the domestic life. While she was built to fight, losing her adoptive father, the only family she had known took a blow to her heart and crushed her spirit. However, she was ever so grateful to be taken in by Launch.

As Mina trained in the forest, she came across a white cat named Artemis. He told her that she was a Sailor Soldier.

And so, together as Mina grew into a teenager they fought crime.

Mina would not be powerful enough to face the Androids on her own, but as Sailor V she could help the citizens of Earth in other ways.

"Stop right there fiend!" Mina jumped from the top of a building in Orange City. She was tracking down a bandit who was stealing rations. "You give that food back right now or you'll regret it!"

"Ack! Sailor V!"

Mina quickly grew a reputation, becoming popular among the people.

"Love me chain!" Sailor V threw her chain of hearts around the bandit's ankles and tugged, making him topple onto his back. "I'll be taking these..." She walked over and tossed the back of stolen goods over her shoulder.

Artemis ran up to her from the shadows. "Another job well done Sailor V!"

Sailor V smirked. "Thank you Artemis."

"Now let's get this returned!"

"Way... Ahead of ya." Sailor V yawned as she struggled to take a step. Panicked, Artemis went by her side.

"Minako are you okay?" he asked in a concerned voice.

Mina nodded. "Yeah... Just tired." Fighting crime on her own was a lot of work. Sure she had Artemis, but the world the Androids created, made it a lot easier for people to forget their humanity.

"Don't worry Minako." Artemis promised. "Once we have the Sailor Guardians, you won't have to do this alone anymore."
