Half an hour passed and Gumball, Darwin and Anais have arrived at the front door of their home. Gumball turned the knob of the door and pushed the door open. The three of them enters the house as the door behind them closed on itself. Their mother, Nicole, was preparing dinner in the kitchen. As she heard her kids have arrived home, she walked to them and greets.

Nicole: "Hey kids!"

The three siblings looks at their mother as she walked over to them. All three of them smiled as they greets her back in unison.

"Hey, Mom!"

Nicole: "So how was school today?"

Gumball smiled a bit as he responded.

Gumball: "It was great! We had a test today, and guess what, I aced it! I got an A in my test paper and I'm very proud of myself right now!"

Nicole looks surprised at her son's comment as she says.

Nicole: "Woah, really? Can you show me your paper?"

Gumball: "Sure! Look at it, Mom!"

Then Gumball took out his exam paper from his backpack and showed it to Nicole. The blue cat mother gasps delightedly when she saw Gumball's results on the paper.

Nicole: "Wow, 93%! Straight A! That's amazing Gumball!"

Gumball nodded at his mother, looking very pleased with himself.

Gumball: "Yeah, Mom! I really exceeded my own expectation in this test. But I couldn't have done it if it wasn't for Anais here."

Then Gumball turned to Anais and patted her on the head as she let out a giggle.

Nicole: "Wait, you've studied with Anais?"

Then Nicole also turns her attention to Anais, still surprised.

Nicole: "Anais, is that true?"

Anais: *nodded* "Yep, that's right, Mom. I was tutoring him yesterday, and turns out our study sessions did worked, after all! And as you see, he got an A on the test just like that!"

Nicole: "Aww... It's nice to see you two are actually spending some quality times together..."

Gumball chuckled a little to his mom while patting Anais on the shoulder.

Gumball: "Yeah, I guess so. I thought the study sessions would be a little bit boring at first, but turns out, it actually got a bit fun! We also managed to understand the lessons that we needed to study from each others, and Anais was really good at explaining the lessons too! And it helped me a lot in the test. So I'm glad that our study sessions weren't as boring as I thought they would be."

Nicole nods to Gumball before she turned to Darwin, who has been quiet for a while, as she asks.

Nicole: "And how about you, Darwin? How was yours?

Darwin also took out his test paper, showed it to Nicole as he sighed a little.

Darwin: "Well, honestly, this test was kind of tough and complicated for me. I tried my best on it, but I struggled a bit with half of the questions. But in the end, I got a C plus, so that's good, I guess..."

Nicole saw his paper before she gave him a look of sympathy.

Nicole: "Aww... That's also very good, my little Guppy! I'm very proud of you too!"

Darwin smiled a little and nodded at his adoptive mother before Gumball chimed in.

Gumball: "Yeah, I'm also proud of Darwin too! C plus might not be the best grade, but he also did pretty awesome too! Beside, he'd struggled with a lot of exams before, but he can still managed to get decent grades after all!"

Darwin got touched by Gumball's comment as he responds to him.

Darwin: "Ah... Thanks dude!"

Gumball chuckled a little, patting Darwin on the shoulder like how he just did to Anais.

Gumball: "Aww... You're welcome! That's what friends are for, right dude?"

Darwin nodded and smiled at Gumball. While Nicole gave her kids a warm smile before she leans closer to them as she speaks.

Nicole: "I'm so proud of you kids! But remember, you don't have to be perfect for me. Which also means that you don't have to always get good grades at school to prove that you're smart and intelligent. It's also based on your experiences in real life too! Because knowledges is located in everywhere, not just in books. Am I right you three?"

Anais and Darwin both nodded firmly.

Anais & Darwin: "Yes Mom!"

Gumball also nodded slightly, but he responds to his mom in more detailed with a confident smile on his face.

Gumball: "Yeah, I know that, Mom. I was just so proud of myself because I rarely got an A on my tests. I know that I don't have to keep up with being a perfect person all the time. And yes, I also know that knowledges isn't just existed in books, too!"

Nicole: *nodded* "I know sweetie! Just be yourself and do the best as you can, okay?"

Gumball nodded firmly, smiling at his beloved mother.

Gumball: "Yeah, I know, Mom. Don't worry, I'll do the best as I can and stay being myself! I won't try to pressure myself to be perfect all the time, I'll just try my best in life and try to enjoy it, too!"

Nicole nodded as she turns to Darwin and Anais.

Nicole: "And you two?"

Darwin immediately nodded firmly.

Darwin: "I'll do my best too, Mrs. Mom!"

Anais also nodded firmly as she replied in her usual know-it-all tone.

Anais: "Of course, Mom. I will always do my best to be both smart, independent, and happy as I can!"

Nicole nods as she gives all three of them a reassurance smile and hugs all of them.

Nicole: "I love you kids! All of you!"

All three of them hugged their mother back as they smiled at her and spoke in unison.

"We love you too, Mom!"

The four of them stayed hugging each others for a long time. The three Watterson siblings can feel the warmth from the hug their mother's giving them as they all felt safe and loved.

Later at night, the whole family were all presented at the dining table. They were all enjoying their dinner and chatting happily to each others. They also recalled how well Gumball and Darwin have done in their exams today and how the family had appreciated them for it! For Darwin, even though his results this time isn't as good as Gumball, but they would still loved and supported him after all! For Gumball, his impressive score on today's exam has helped him receive a lot of validation and praises from his family! But of course, he has to share some credits to his little sister Anais, since she was the one who had helped him studied well for the test!

And in the end, the whole family hugged each others one last time as they'd promised to each others that they'll always love and care for each others no matter what happened!
