"I'm nervous, Dussu," Adrien's breath was white as he headed out to the garden, fiddling with the Peacock Miraculous attached to shirt. "Don't be. You get to see your mother again, a Christmas wish come true!" she chirped, and Adrien smiled. "Her memory, you mean. And only because Felix lent me to you."

Adrien dug a little in the snow, finding the symbol to activate the Kwagatma beneath the base of the statue. It had always been there, hadn't it?

"You ready?" Dussu asked, and Adrien's heart beat fast. "Yes. Dussu, spread my feathers!" Adrien was soon elevoped in a soft long coat and taking the Kwagatma from around his neck, he touched it to the symbol.

A bright flash had Adrien shielding in his eyes, when gentle laughter reached his ear. "Does my hair look that bad, my child?" Adrien slowly took his hand away, and there, stood his mother. Her memory that is, as Dussu had said, but still…..

"Mother," Adrien's voice was as soft as the snowflakes that twirled and danced around him. "My Adrien, I see your the holder of my Miraculous?" "No, Felix holds the Miraculous of the Peacock, but I missed you so much…." "You've grown quite a bit, yet your the same as always. Kind and gentle, with an impish spark." "I do hold a Miraculous, the Miraculous of the Black Cat. And you would love my partner, Ladybug. Here's a picture of her."

Adrien held carefully, so it didn't get wet in the falling snow. Mother hid a smile at the dreamy look on her son's face. "I assume your more then friends?" "No, no. Ladybug's lovely, but this is my girlfriend."

A picture of Marinette was produced. "Are you and Father alright?" Adrien asked, happiness forgotten for the moment. Mother's sigh was feathery. "Nothing is the same without you, my child, but I'm glad your not alone." "I still feel alone," Adrien whispered. "I know, my child, I know."

"Someday we'll be together," Adrien wiped his eyes, and begin to shiver. "Its getting cold, and you should be inside. Give Marinette and Felix hugs, okay? Oh, and remember to wash behind your ears!"

Adrien laughed, wiping away a tear. "You haven't changed. I love you." "I love you, Adrien."

"End of reunion." With a mere blink, Adrien once again found himself standing alone in the snow. A knocking sound coming from the window had him turning and smiling, seeing Marinette there.

Mother was right. With Marinette and his beloved partner, he would never be truly alone.
