Hey guys! I just wanted to let you know, Fitz is a bit homophobic in this chapter for a sentence or two, so if you're sensitive towards that sort of stuff and don't want to read it, it's fine. He doesn't say anything important, he's just homophobic. I'll tell you right before he says it, so you know to skip it (It'll be emboldened, fyi). Anyways, enjoy! :)

Linh

"So... Linh and I are together now." I hold my breath as Marella says the words that could or could not change everything.

"Yay! I've been wondering, but I didn't want to ask. I'm so happy for you guys!" Biana squeals.

"Congrats!" Sophie and Keefe say in unison, then Keefe smirks at Sophie and Sophie blushes. I fight the urge to roll my eyes, and instead focus on Tam's reaction.

"I knew you two were getting closer, but not that close. I'm fine with it, though." he says, and I smile and look at Marella. I make eye contact with her and she smiles back.

"But!" Tam adds, and I groan. Cue overprotective brother. "If you hurt a single hair on my sister's head-"

"Okay, Tam she gets it. And you don't have to worry. I trust Marella." I interrupt.

"You trust everyone." Tam grumbles. I open my mouth to protest, but then I see Wylie. He looks absolutely crushed.

"Linh- I've liked you for a long time, and I thought you liked me back. But I guess not." he says.

"I do like you Wylie," I say, "Just not in that way. Can we still be friends?"

"Yeah, that would be nice." he responds with a sad smile, and I give him a hug. Then Fitz speaks up. (This is the part where he's homophobic btw)

"Isn't that just like, wrong?" he asks.

"No, why would it be wrong?" Marella responds, as if challenging him. Fitz shrugs,

"Because girls should date boys and boys should date girls. It's as simple as that." (Ok, homophobic part is over now)I feel anger boiling up in my stomach. How could Fitz say that? Why couldn't he just be happy for us, and not cause any drama for once?! I freeze as I realize that I said that out loud. No, I didn't just say it, I screamed it. Everyone stares at me, shocked. Even Marella and Tam look surprised.

"Sorry... I didn't realize that I said that out loud..." I say sheepishly. But Marella just smiles and whispers jokingly in my ear,

"I'm glad you said that, or I probably would've burned Havenfield down out of anger." I smile back at her, resisting the urge to respond 'I would let you burn down all of Enternalia if only Fitz was there' and look around. Everyone has recovered, but Fitz is nowhere to be found.

"Sorry everyone," I apologise, "He just made me so mad, and the anger in me just kind of... boiled over, if you know what I mean."

"We understand," Biana says, "And I'm sorry too. I have no idea how my brother came to be such a homophobic jerk."

"Where did Wonderboy go anyway?" Dex asks, looking around.

"I saw him leave while you were all staring at Linh." Tam answers, "He probably just went somewhere to sulk." Biana sighs.

"He's always worried about 'tarnishing the Vacker name', and then he goes off and does stupid stuff like this." she says, looking angry and a bit sad.

"He used to be so nice, but now he's just... cold." Sophie chimes in sadly, and Keefe places a hand on her shoulder. Sophie smiles gratefully at him, and I can't help but say 'Awwww' with the rest of the girls, causing Sophie to blush furiously. Keefe, of course just flashed his trademark smirk and blew a kiss to Sophie, who by now was tomato red.

"Sophie's right, though," Wylie says, "Fitz has been getting more distant lately."

"Maybe I should talk to him," Sophie says almost nervously, as if she regretted saying that.

"You don't have to if you don't want to, Sophie." Keefe says gently. Sophie takes a few deep breaths, and we all wait for her to make a decision.

"I'm going to go find him," she says eventually, standing up, "You guys can... I dunno, play truth or dare or something while I'm gone." Biana grins at the last part.

"Me first!" she says, "Keefe, truth or dare?"

"Dare, obviously." Keefe says with a smirk.

"I dare you to... shave your head!" Biana says maliciously. Everybody bursts out laughing at the look on Keefe's face, and I'm glad Sophie suggested this. It's really helped me take my mind off Fitz.

"I could never do that to The Hair!" Keefe says, shocked.

"A dare's a dare," Tam says, smirking, "Now do it!" Eventually, we manage to get Keefe to sit still. Once he's seated he whimpers,

"Biana, why can't you do it? I'm already suffering enough."

"Fine," Biana says, giving in, "But hold still! Or I'll accidentally shave off your eyebrows too." We all watch in amusement as Biana shaves off each fluffy lock of hair, one by one. When she's finished, she gives Keefe a handheld mirror, and he screams.

"What is it?!" Sophie asks frantically as she bursts in with Fitz right behind her. Then she spots Keefe and doubles over, laughing. Fitx looks at Sophie as if she's crazy, but once he spots Keefe, he joins the rest of the group in laughing their heads off. Once everyone calms down and Keefe takes an elixir that will regrow his hair, Fitz says to me and Marella,

"I-I'm sorry, Marella and Linh. I'm just not used to this sort of thing. After all, it would make you a bad match. Also... my dad is kinda homophobic, so yeah..."

"We forgive you Fitz." I say, trying to smile. Trying not to show how angry and hurt I still am.

"Well, now that that's over with, let's play truth or dare!" Biana says excitedly, "Keefe, it's your turn."

"Ok," Keefe says, "Bangs boy, truth or dare!"

"My name isn't bangs boy and dare, for once." Tam answers grumily, "Though I'm probably going to regret that."

"Great!" Keefe says, smirking, "I dare you to answer two truths! The first one is, do you have a crush?" Tam rolls his eyes, but a faint blush creeps up his neck as he answers,

"Yes," in a small but grumpy voice.

"And two, who is your crush?" Keefe continues after Tam gives his answer.

"Biana..." Tam whispers.

"What was that?" Keefe asks, his smirk growing by the second, "I couldn't hear you." Tam gives Keefe a death glare, then repeats louder,

"Biana." Biana blushes and says,

"I like you too, Tam" And then, Tam smiles. I can't believe my eyes! My twin brother, smiling the biggest grin I've ever seen.

"Ok, Tam, pick someone." Keefe say, trying to get the game moving.

"Ok, uh... Fitz, truth or dare?" Tam asks.

"Dare." Fitz replies confidently.

"I dare you to call your dad and say that you're engaged." Tam says, smirking. For a second, I don't think Fitz is going to do it. But then, he pulls out his imparter and says,

"Show me Alden Vacker." to it. Soon enough, the screen lights up with Alden's face.

"So, what is it?" Alden asks. Fitz takes a deep breath before saying,

"I'm engaged."

"Is this a dare? Because I see Sophie and Keefe there behind you." Alden responds. I see Tam shake his head at Fitz, signaling for him to say no.

"No, it's not a dare." Fitz says through gritted teeth.

"Okay, if you say so." Alden replies before hanging up. The rest of the night goes past really fast, and soon enough it's time to go home. Then I remember a question my parents asked me a few days ago: 'So, when do we get to meet the boyfriend you're always talking about?'

"Hey, Mare?" I say to Marella.

"Yeha?" she replies.

"Do you want to come over to my house for dinner tomorrow night?" I ask before I can back down. Marella smiles.

"I would love that," she says, giving me a quick kiss on the cheek before lifting her pathfinder to the light and glittering away. I go home soon after, but I can't sleep out of anticipation for tomorrow. Eventually, I drift off, waiting for tomorrow to come.

Hi! I hope you liked that chapter. I know there wasn't as much drama as I said there would be last chapter, but by the time I remembered, it was too late. So, yeah. I'll try to post the next chapter ASAP. Well, bye! :)
