Heeeey, I'm back and with a new chapter. The Afterdreamer provided me with the dialogues and the Pokémon and Charles talking among themselves. Mastershadow300 helped me providing the ideas for the plot. I have an announcement to make, the results of the poll are in and the winners are...Luna, Lucy and Lana! YAAAAAAAY! Clap clap clap!
We don't own the franchises, Loud House was created by Chris Savino and belongs to Nickelodeon, Pokémon was created by Satoshi Tajiri and belongs to Nintendo, the Fakemon, characters and places of the Orohn division belongs to Zerudez. Maze Cave belongs to me though...with that out of the way, let the show begin!
CHAPTER 4 THE DECISION & LOST IN MAZE CAVE
"These Pokémon creatures are incredible, and they must be really hungry for spending too much time inside the computer. Do they love enchiladas?" Asked Rosa.
"I dunno abuela, their diet might be like the animals from here." Said Ronnie Anne as she watches the five Pokémon in the Loud House.
Hoothoot was standing on the grandfather clock with one leg while rhythmically tilting his head. Sentret was entertaining Lily by hopping on his tail around her, which she giggles while clapping at the mammal Pokémon's talent. Zapillar was crawling on the wall while Dorentu was walking on all fours curiously sniffing around her new home. Oddish remained buried in the flower pot. Fangs were laying upside down next to Hoothoot who looked at each other and stared off at each other. Zapillar was being followed by Hops and looked at Zappilar, while Zapillar looked back.
"(What are you staring at?)" Asked Zapillar.
"(I have never seen a bug as big or as yellow as you.)" Hops spoke in Frog Language.
"(Then you wanna battle?!)" Zapillar electrified herself in defense.
"(Nor have I ever seen a Bug with Superpowers…)" Hops begged for mercy as he saw that even the house flickered.
"(The vision was at least better…)" Fangs spoke.
"(Can you not see in plain light?")" asked Hoothoot.
"(What do I look like a daytime creature…?)" Fangs asked Hoohoot.
"(Um, Sentret? You might wanna look behind you.)" Zapillar spoke as El Diablo was sneaking by about to eat Sentret but Sentret tagged El Diablo with a Scratch attack.
"(OW!)" El Diablo hissed.
"(Demon, buddy, how many times do we have to tell you, we don't eat the guests…?)" Izzy cooed into El Diablo's thoughts from reptile to reptile.
"(That wasn't supposed to happen…)" El Diablo growled as he rubbed his bruise with his tail.
"(Please don't attack the Pokémon! They'll fight back if not careful!)" Geo warned.
"(Pokémon?)" Asked every normal pet as they were shocked.
"(Isn't that some funny business?)" Gary spoke from Luan's Hat.
"(Pokémon, right? They look like almost regular animals to me.)" El Diablo scanned Sentret.
"(Yes, we're Pokémon. What kind of species are you guys?)" asked Zapillar.
"(Well, let me introduce you to an earth different from yours and mine. Over here there are many species of Animals, some who are lucky with extreme powers, while some who are not so lucky and are made to be eaten.)" explained Cliff. "(Some like us have become pets to keep inside the house. In some states of the country, there are rules to keep some as pets while some are extremely illegal like Fangs or El Diablo, here.)"
"(Animals, I see…)" Hoothoot nodded.
"(Make yourself at home and we'll have to someday learn about each other. If only we can use some superpowers like you guys…)" Cliff sighed. "(If only Charles was here…)"
The Pokémon and Animals were feeling bad for Cliff due to losing his Canine Friend.
"(Will you guys keep it down? I'm trying to sleep!)" Oddish spoke inside the flower pot.
"Why is that blue plant bulb inside the flower pot?" Asked Rusty.
"Simple because she's an alien, like the rest of them!" Said Zach very enthusiastic about the Pokémon.
"Incorrect Zach, Pokémon aren't technically aliens, they're creatures that inhabit a parallel world that is different from our own." Explained Lisa through her lisp accent.
The grandfather's small hand is on five and when the big hand stops on twelve it begins to ring while Hoothoot is hooting five times in sync with the clock. Lisa then pulls out her tape recorder.
"It seems Hoothoot has a perfect sense of time and hoots every time to announce the time, making him a natural living clock. The hour can be distinguished by how many times he hoots just like how many times a clock rings." Said Lisa on her tape recorder.
"Leni hey Hoothoot, tell me one thing, did you lose your leg?" Leni asked Hoothoot.
"Leni, he didn't literally lose his leg, he just has a habit of standing on one leg." Corrected Lori.
"No way, if he has two legs, he would've been showing them right now!" Said Leni.
As if on cue, Hoothoot flaps his stubby wings and flies away, while flying he was showing both his legs, which made Leni's mouth agape.
"You were saying?" Asked Lori.
"How can this, here, Pokémon be able to fly with those small wings?" Asked Liam.
"The one with rabbit ears and raccoon tail can stand on his tail." Stella stated, identifying Sentret.
"Is that electricity coming from that caterpillar's fur?" Kara asked as Zapillar turned her head towards her.
Hoothoot landed on the trophy case, tucked one of his legs inside his feathers, so he can stand on one leg. He kept tilting his head. Dorentu climbed the grandfather clock so she could interact with Fangs. Zapillar climbed down the wall.
"(This place seems like a good place to store some food!)" Dorentu smiled.
"(I don't think there's any trees with nuts or fruit from your alien world…)" Fangs sighed in monotone.
Sometime later the Santiagos, Casagrandes went back to Great Lake City, Clyde had to go home in order to not get his dads worried sick, Lincoln's remaining friends also needed to go home. Sentret allowed Lily to hug his tail, which she felt was muscled and firm. Dorentu was in Lola's and Lana's room munching a cookie in a rodent fashion.
"My, my, Ms. Dorentu, what a big appetite you have, no more sweets for you." Said Lola while serving tea to one of her dolls.
In Lisa's and Lily's room, Lisa was studying Hoothoot, she got a result.
"According to the X-Ray and the results of my studies, Hoothoot has a special organ that no other living being possesses. This organ can sense and track the earth's rotation which explains why he hoots every time." Said Lisa through her lisp accent.
In Luna's and Luan's room, Luna was trying to come up with new music, but couldn't take her mind off the Pokémon, especially the purple one with a mohawk made of electricity. Outside the house, Lana was lying on the mud, deep in thought about the Pokémon that she started to love. Later in the evening, Lucy was trying to watch Vampires of Melancholia, but wasn't focused as she was thinking about the Pokémon, especially the ghost types.
Meanwhile, Oddish popped out of the flower pot, and as soon as she stretched, she began to walk around. She went to the living room and saw Lucy deep in thought and looked at the TV. She got to admit, she had never seen a human with pointed ears, pointed teeth sticking out of its top jaw and extremely pale skin, she even thought it was a human and Pokémon hybrid. Oddish began to walk and passed by the kitchen, he saw Lynn Sr cooking.
"Today for dinner, we're gonna have Lynn-sagna!" Said Lynn Sr.
Oddish didn't know what a "Lynn-sagna" is, but it sure smells nice. Oddish began to walk again and climbed the stairs and saw the many rooms with their doors open, she walked and took a peek of the first room and saw Lisa with Zapillar, with some wires attached to her antennas which she was powering up a machine with her electricity. The Oddish went to take a peek at the next room and saw Lynn Jr dribbling a soccer ball and then kicked the ball strong enough that then a sound of something shattering was heard.
"And score! Lynner Lynner chicken dinner!" Said Lynn Jr as she begins to showboat.
Oddish sweat dropped at what she saw. She then went to have a peek to the next room and saw Luan practicing her jokes with Mr. Coconuts.
"Why did the hedgehog cross the road?" Luan asked her dummy.
"I dunno, why did the hedgehog cross the road?" Luan asked through Mr. Coconuts.
"To show the possum how it's done! Hahahaha! Get it?" Said Luan.
"My, my! That sure was spiky!" Said Luan through Mr. Coconuts.
Oddish didn't get the joke as well as she didn't know what a hedgehog or a possum is, she thought they could be new species of Pokémon. But she has to admit that the way she makes that doll come to life is impressive. She went to the last room and saw Lori and Leni.
"I love you Boo-Boo Bear. No, I love you! No, I love you more!" Said Lori while texting her phone to Bobby.
"There, these new curtains mom bought will be, like, good material for my new dresses." Said Leni after she cut the curtains in her and Lori's room and began to tailor.
Oddish sweat dropped at what she saw, she had a feeling that Leni has low intelligence and Lori to be too addicted to her phone and decided to slowly walk away.
"(My, what a family…)" Oddish sighed.
Then Oddish heard a ringing sound, which turned out to be Lynn Sr playing his triangle to announce that dinner is ready. The girls quickly got out of their rooms and ran to the stairs all heading to the kitchen. Oddish narrowly dodged the stampede! She sweat dropped at this, since she's a little hungry decided to go to the kitchen and have a snack with her fellow Pokémon and animal friends. The only ones who didn't run towards the kitchen were Luna, Lucy and Lana who walked, instead, since they had so much in their mind right now.
"Lana, you're all covered in mud! You know the rules, go clean yourself first." Said Rita to her tomboy daughter.
"Okay..." Said the handywoman as she went to the bathroom to clean herself up.
This however surprised the Louds (except Luna and Lucy who were deep in thought) to see Lana Loud, a girl who loves to get dirty, easily obeying someone's order to clean herself without question or resistance was new to them. The pets were surprised as well, while the Pokémon didn't care and were busy eating their food. Hoothoot was eating some leftover meat, Sentret was eating a mixed cat and dog food, Zapillar was eating a bowl full of leaves, Dorentu (Who was now wearing a pink ribbon around her neck with a bow on her nape) was eating hamster food while also keeping some stored in her cheeks. The only one which the Louds had trouble figuring out which kind of food to give was Oddish. At first they thought to give her manure due to the fact she's an anthropomorphic plant, but were surprised that Oddish refused in disgust, she then runs to a basket of fruits and eat an apple, which surprises the Louds since she's fine on eating normal food, so they gave her a bowl filled with three kinds of fruits.
"Isn't that weird?" Asked Luan. "Kinda… messed up isn't it?"
"Well, considering that most plantae can be consumed from compost, particularly from dead plantae, it makes sense. Though what I don't get about what a Plant- I mean, a Grass Type Pokémon would eat produce such as an Apple, a Peach or a Banana." Lisa studied Oddish as she bit into an apple.
"I hope this isn't a strange belief in Fruit Canni-Bowl-ism! Hahahahahah! Get it?!" Luan joked as the others looked unimpressed as they groaned. "But seriously, I do recall Lincoln having a Grass-Type Pokemon that literally looks like it eats meat."
"You mean the Alligator?" Asked Lynn Jr. "That guy is one heck of a Biter, and it won't surprise me if he does eat something like meat."
"(Believe it or not we do have apples in our universe.)" Said Zapillar as she was munching on a salad full of backyard leaves, freshly plucked from the greenery.
"(How many kinds?)" asked El Diablo.
"(My guess is about a few of them, considering we have to be careful of Applin.)" Dorentu replied.
"(Applin?)" Asked Cliff.
"(It's probably another Pokemon who's an apple itself.)" Fangs licked his lips.
"(He's actually the Worm, or Wyrm with a 'Y', inside the apple. He can evolve into three lines of Apple Pokemon with one being a three stage.)" Hoothoot replied.
"(Funny, my guess is he's also a Grass Type, like Oddish.)" Gary laughed as he popped out of his Hat.
"(Correct. And to add further to the correction; He's Part Grass, Part Dragon.)" Hoothoot replied.
"(A DRAGON?!)" The Loud House Pets were shocked, surprised to see living Dragons.
"(Oh boy, Lisa will have a FIELD DAY with studying Modern Dragons!)" Bitey squeaked, laughing at the fact that there's actual Dragons. Of course they would exist in another universe, possibly in a fantasy realm. BUT POKÉMON?! THAT'S RICH!
Lana eventually came back all cleaned and went to sit with the rest of her family. While all of them were eating, Luna, Lucy and Lana didn't touch their food, deep in thought, which Rita and Lynn Sr noticed.
"Girls?" Asked Lynn Sr but they didn't respond.
"Girls?" Asked Rita which once again they didn't respond.
"GIRLS!" Shouted Lynn Sr.
This finally caught the rockstar, the goth and the tomboy's attention.
"You didn't touch your food, are you okay?" Asked Rita in concern.
"Oh, it's nothing, I was just thinking..." Said Luna as she rubs her arm.
"Like she said." Said Lucy in her monotone.
"Ditto!" Said Lana which of course caught the Pokémon's attention upon hearing that word.
"(Did somebody say Ditto?)" Asked Sentret.
"(Lemme guess… Ditto is also a Pokemon?)" asked Fangs with a sigh.
"Come on, you can tell us, we're family!" Lynn Sr allowed what was incoming.
"Nah, it's nothing important." Said Luna.
"The darkest pits of my mind are an enigma." Said Lucy.
"It's complicated." Said Lana.
However the parents weren't fooled and gave the girls a stern look.
"Fine, I want to go to the Pokémon World with Lincoln. I saw a Pokémon that I really liked and I was hoping I would get one for myself and see if there are more Pokémon that can make music like that purple one that resembles a punk and reptile hybrid." Said Luna with a sigh.
"Sigh...I want to see the ghost type Pokémon and perhaps get some for myself..." Said Lucy.
"I started to love Pokémon as much as animals! I want to see what other species there are in that dimension. So please mom and dad. Let me go to that dimension with Lincoln! I promise not to cause trouble!" Said Lana while showing puppy eyes, which the Pokémon thought she was either using Charm or Baby-Doll Eyes.
"(What a way to display some Charisma.)" Hoothoot was intrigued.
"(She and Lola do this every time that something was needed to obtain. I personally think Lola's way cuter if she wasn't so angry… Chihuahua…)" Cliff looked down as he moped. "(Charles…)"
"(Uh oh…)" El Diablo watched as Cliff just faced away from his bowl of food.
"I dunno sweetie..." Said Rita, unsure about their decision.
"Come on, you trust me with frogs, lizards, monkeys, a snake and an alligator. I can easily adapt in that dimension and get along with the Pokémon. Besides, Luna and Lucy will come with me." Said Lana.
The Loud parents exchanged glances and after some thought they sighed.
"All right, you can go." Said Rita.
"But be careful, as Lincoln told you, Pokémon can be quite dangerous, we don't want another incident like you had with that grub Pokémon." Said Lynn Sr.
"And make sure to listen to your older brother and sisters." Said Rita strictly.
Luna and Lana went around the table and hugged their parents tightly.
"Radical dudes!" Said Luna while hugging.
"Thank you thank you thank you!" Said Lana while hugging.
Lucy didn't go to hug her parents since she's not into hugging so much, but thanked them for allowing her to go as well.
Cliff looked at the three sisters as they were so lucky.
The three Loud Sisters then went back to eat. Once dinner was done, Luna, Lucy and Lana went back to their rooms to pack their stuff for their journey tomorrow. It was late at night, everybody were sleeping, Lily was sleeping in her crib alongside Sentret who's using his tail as a blanket to cover the Loud Baby, Dorentu was sleeping alongside Lola, Zapillar was sleeping next to a socket, while the only ones awake are Fangs, Hoothoot and Oddish since they're all nocturnal. In Lynn Jr's and Lucy's room, Lucy was lying on her coffin holding her Edwin statue.
"Oh Edwin, tomorrow will be the day where I'm exploring a world with creatures that are connected to the afterlife. It's going to be wicked, sigh..." Lucy said to her statue.
In Lana's and Lola's room, Lana was still awake with her pet frog Hopps.
"Hopps, can't wait to go back in that dimension, oooh! I hope there are amphibian Pokémon! While I'm gone you will hold down the fort, can I count on you Hopps?" Asked Lana which the frog responded by giving her a salute.
"(I salute you to follow your dreams, Lana!)" Hopps croaked.
In Luna and Luan's, Luna was lying on her bed still awake and looking at the ceiling.
"Pokémon that can do something that looks like it's strumming a guitar, I wonder if there are Pokémon that can play an instrument and sing?" Luna wondered.
The next morning, Hoothoot was sleeping on the grandfather clock while Oddish was back in the flower pot. In Lisa's and Lily's room, Lynn Sr, Rita and the other sisters were waiting for Luna, Lucy and Lana to show up.
"So, how do we look?" Luna asked upon coming into the room with her younger sisters.
Once they looked, they saw they had changed their outfits. Luna was now wearing knee ripped jeans, a purple sleeveless shirt with a flaming skull on it, she still wore her high purple boots, paperclip earrings, but now she was wearing a purple visor and a guitar case where she keeps her electric guitar. Lucy was wearing a black shirt with a ghost theme and with white long sleeves with black stripes on it, a gothic skirt with a spider web theme, her hair was still the same though with the bangs still covering her eyes and still wears her long white socks with black stripes and black shoes, but now wears a collar of plastic skulls around her neck. Lana stills wore her trademark red cap and pigtails, but now wears a blue t-shirt and red overalls, her sneakers are now white with a frog head on it.
"Whoa! You all look great girls!" Lynn Sr complimented his daughters.
"All thanks to Leni." Lana smiled as she pointed to Leni.
"Take care, you three!" Said Leni while hugging her sisters. (All of the three were younger than her. It's funny though, isn't it?)
"Yeah. Literally, be on your best behavior!" Lori stated as she too was hugging her sisters.
"Be strong girls!" Said Lynn Jr while giving a hug to Luna, a soft punch on Lucy's shoulder and a noogie on Lana.
"Don't forget to Right! Hahahaha! Get it?" Joked Luan which everybody but Lynn Sr groaned. "But seriously, be okay girls!"
"I'm gonna miss you Lana!" Said Lola as she hugs her twin in tears.
"Good luck in your journey out there, sister units, may you have safe travels." Said Lisa.
"Goodbye sisters!" Said Lily as she hugged her older sisters which made everybody to aw about her cuteness.
"Girls, just remember, no matter where you are, we'll always be with you..." Lynn Sr stated, in tears.
"Be good girls!" Said Rita as she went to give Lynn Sr a shoulder for him to cry on.
Lisa pressed a button on the computer and opened a portal. The trio stood in front of the vortex. Once they go in there, they will return to a world full of wonders and of creatures with powers, and reunite with their brother.
"Well, here goes nothing..." Said Luna with a sigh.
"May the spirits be with us..." Said Lucy.
"World of Pokémon, here we come!" Said Lana.
Then they all jumped into the portal and the vortex closed upon entering. The Louds, the remaining pets and Pokémon watched as the portal closed, knowing that everything is gonna be okay with them.
"(Did anybody else get Luan's joke?)" Asked Sentret. The pets and Pokemon stood quiet. "(As expected.)"
Meanwhile Lincoln, with Charles, were walking alongside Route 1. After waking up and saying goodbye to the Levesques, he started his journey to become the new champion of Orohn, Nova decided to go with Lincoln since she knows much about the region as well to help her aunt with her research. During their walk, they saw the Pokémon doing their thing, a flock of Starly were on tree branches singing a noisy song, hoards of Grubbin were sucking tree sap and three Oddish were buried underground next to each other. Eventually, they reached the entrance of a cave.
"Here we are Lincoln, this is the entrance to Maze Cave!" Said Nova.
"Maze Cave?" Lincoln questioned the name of the Cave.
"It's because this cave has so many paths that it's easy for you to get lost!" Said Nova.
"Then, we gotta think of a plan to prevent us from getting lost." Lincoln suggested.
"We'll think of something, let's go!" Nova explained as she went ahead a bit.
However, before they could get in, a vortex appeared in front of them, which surprised the two trainers. Then three girls jumped out of the portal and the vortex portal closed. Lincoln quickly recognized them.
"Luna, Lucy, Lana? Why are you here and what's with the new getup?" Asked Lincoln.
"We decided to go with you, we want to see and have our own Pokémon." Said Luna.
"I want to learn their habits and language!" Said Lana while Charles went to lick her as he was happy to see her again.
"(YAY! LANA!)" Charles licked Lana.
"I wanna see the ghost types." Said Lucy who appeared next to Lincoln and Nova, startling them.
"Sure, it'll be nice having you three around, it will make this journey more fun!" Lincoln smiled.
After a happy reunion Lincoln gave each of his sisters six Poké Balls, the Loud siblings and Nova then got inside Maze Cave. The cave was a bit dark, which was the goth's kind of place. While walking, they hear the sound of several squeaks.
"Wait, did you girls hear that?" Asked Lincoln.
"Yes, I hear it too dude!" Said Luna putting her hand on her ear.
"It's coming that way!" Said Lana while pointing at a path.
Suddenly a cauldron of blue bat Pokémon came out. They lack eyes, had pointed ears with purple insides and a mouth with two sharp teeth on each jaw. Some had larger fangs than the others. They had purple wing membranes supported by two, elongated fingers, and two long, thin tails. They begin to circle the sibs and Nova while Charles growls at them while baring his teeth.
"Bat Pokémon...wicked!" Said Lucy with a small smile.
"We must be in their territory!" Lincoln noticed.
"What are they called?" Said Lana as Lincoln scanned them with his Rotom Phone.
Zubat The Bat Pokémon. Poison/Flying Type. Male and Female. It has no eyes. Instead, it relies on its ultrasonic cries for echolocation to flit about in darkness.
"Wicked! I wanna have one!" Lucy spoke with determination!
"Then get your Poké Ball ready, I'll battle it for you since you still don't have a Pokémon of your own." Said Lincoln as he threw a Poké Ball in the air.
It sent out Watuber who went in her fighting stance.
"(I am ready to prove my worth again!)" Watuber posed for combat. The cauldron of Zubat flies towards the polar bear Pokémon with their fangs glowing green.
"Dodge and use Bubble!" Said Lincoln.
"(Alright! Come and get it!)" Watuber dodged the entire hoard and sprayed countless bubbles that jetted towards the cauldron and hit them. The bats responded by sending sound waves from their mouths towards her.
"Cover your ears!" Said Lincoln.
"(WOAH!)" Watuber covered her ears to avoid the attack. "(That was close…)"
"Now another Bubble!" Said Lincoln.
"(Here's mine in retaliation!)" Watuber sprayed countless bubbles at the cauldron and hit them, one even received a critical hit and fell to the ground, while the remaining cauldron fled by flying back inside the path. "(Yes!)"
"Now's your chance Lucy!" Said Lincoln.
"How do I use this again?" Asked Lucy.
"Just press the button and throw it at the Zubat!" Lincoln explained.
Lucy then pressed the button to unshrink the ball and threw at the Bat Pokémon who was struggling to get up. The ball landed onto Zubat and turned it into a stream of light and got sucked inside the ball. The closed ball landed on the ground and began to shake. After three shakes it stopped and sparkled.
"Congratulations Lucy, you have your first Pokémon!" Lincoln smiled as Lucy went to grab the ball with her first Pokémon inside.
"Thanks Lincoln." Said Lucy with a tiny smile while Lincoln scans her Poké Ball with his Rotom Phone.
"Says here Zubat is male, he knows Absorb, Supersonic and Astonish. His ability is Inner Focus which prevents him from flinching or being affected by Intimidate." Said Lincoln.
Lincoln gave Lucy an Oran Berry so she can heal her Zubat and they all proceeded walking. After entering the path where the Zubat cauldron came from, they got into a very wide area of the cave and kept walking until something popped out of the ground. It was a Pokémon that resembled an armadillo with brick-patterned yellow hide, white underbelly and muzzle. Blue, almond-shaped eyes, a pointed snout, and triangular ears with white insides. Its tail is thick and conical. It had two long claws on each foot and three sharp claws on its forepaws.
"Is that an armadillo with yellow bricks?" Luna asked as Lincoln scanned it with his Rotom Phone.
Sandshrew The Mouse Pokémon. Ground Type. Female. It burrows and lives underground. If threatned, it curls itself up into a ball for protection.
"Whoa-hoho! A Pokémon who lives underground?! I want her!" Said Lana with enthusiasm.
"I know who can deal with her, go Nawdile!" Said Lincoln as he threw Nawdile's Poké Ball.
Nawdile is sent out and gets in his fighting stance, while Sandshrew turns around and faces Nawdile in full alert. "(It's time for a Trip to Nawdile Isle!)"
"Use Bite!" Said Lincoln.
"(Take this bite!)" Nawdile runs towards Sandshrew with his teeth glowing and manages to get close to her. However, just when he was about to bite her down, Sandshrew blocks the attack by curling herself into a ball.
"That must be Sandshrew's Defense Curl, now her physical defense is boosted!" Said Lincoln.
Sandshrew then jumped and began to roll in the air while shooting a flurry of glowing needles.
"Block them with Leafage!" Said Lincoln.
"(Needles?! Ya Mr Miming me?!)" Nawdile shot a flurry of leaves and it managed to neutralize the needles. Sandshrew ran on all fours towards Nawdile and when she got close, stood on her hind legs and used Scratch, but as soon as she hit him, she felt pain on her forepaws and began to rub them due to Nawdile's Rough Skin. With Sandshrew distracted and this close to the Tiny Croc Pokémon, Lincoln saw an opening.
"Leafage!" Said Lincoln.
"(Nawdile Isle Salad Blaster!)" Nawdile shot a flurry of leaves, Sandshrew didn't have time to dodge nor block the attack and got hit. Sandshrew fell into the ground.
"Now Lana!" Said Lincoln.
Lana threw her Poké Ball at Sandshrew and made contact with her, turning her into a stream of light and getting sucked inside. The ball landed on the ground and wiggled three times, until it stopped and sparkled.
"YAAAAY!" Shouted Lana as she jumped while doing the victory finger sign.
Nawdile puffs his chest with his head up and eyes closed with full confidence. "(Nawdile Isle serves you up! And good!)"
Lincoln scanned Lana's Poké Ball with his Rotom Phone.
"So? What's she capable of?" Asked Lana.
"Says here Sandshrew knows Scratch, Defense Curl and Poison Sting. Her ability is Sand Veil which boosts her evasiveness in a sandstorm." Said Lincoln.
Lincoln gave Lana an Oran Berry so she can heal her Sandshrew. Walking to the other side of the area, Charles heard with his sense of dog hearing and pushed Lincoln out of the way of an attack from a Pokémon that punched the ground instead. "(INCOMING DANGER!)"
"HEY! What's the big idea?!" Lincoln asked upon getting up.
He, his sisters and Nova saw the attacker; another Pokémon. It had a ball shaped red torso with orange spots on it and a line in the middle, short arms with large spherical fists with two claws for fingers on each fist. It also had short legs and two long claws on its feet, vertical pupils, a spike on each side of its head, a small mouth and its most notable feature; a long pointed nose. Lincoln scanned it with his Rotom.
Dartibi The Thorn Beetle Pokémon. Bug/Fighting Type. Male. Despite its body being under-developed, Dartibi will try and fight any challenger. They constantly try to get stronger.
"Dude, look at what he's doing!" Said Luna as she pointed at Dartibi.
Dartibi was in a boxer's fighting stance, swinging his fists and pointed at Lincoln with his two claws and did a "bring it on" hand gesture.
"I think he's challenging you for a battle." Said Nova.
"Lynn would definitely get along with this one." Lincoln commented, remembering Lynn Jr as she was also into fighting.
Lincoln threw a Poké Ball which sent out Barkindle, which Charles frowned upon seeing him. Barkindle got in his fighting stance growling at Dartibi while baring his teeth, ready to go.
"(Always with this jerk…)" Charles growled.
"Use Ember!" Said Lincoln.
"(Try this, you overgrown Bug!)" Barkindle shot out a flurry of small flames at Dartibi, however the Thorn Beetle Pokémon dodged and ran towards Barkindle with his fist glowing. "(What the-?!)"
"Dodge!" Lincoln ordered.
Dartibi jumped and attempted to punch the Fire Pup Pokémon, but he managed to dodge on time, Dartibi punched the ground instead which made a little hole due to the impact of the punch.
"(That was close…)" Barkindle sighed.
"Use Ember!" Said Lincoln.
"(Let's try again…)" Barkindle shot a flurry of small flames at Dartibi, but he stopped the attack by throwing a flurry of punches, thus nulling it despite having his fists now covered in soot, the beetle Pokémon smirks at Barkindle for his feeble attempt.
"Whoa! That bug is strong!" Lana was impressed.
"Gotta use my head then..." Said Lincoln with a stern look.
Dartibi began to tense his muscles and glowed for an instant.
"Get ready, Barkindle..." Said Lincoln.
Dartibi then ran towards Barkindle with his claws glowing.
"Dodge and use Growl!" Said Lincoln.
Barkindle dodged and growled in an endearing way, making Dartibi less wary of him and lowering his defense. "(Hope this helps me…)"
"Now Tackle!" Said Lincoln.
"(Take this!)" Barkindle then ran towards Dartibi and slammed him with his whole body, but he managed to block the attack by using his large fists. Dartibi smirks at his another feeble attempt to hit him, but Lincoln saw that coming.
"Ember!" Said Lincoln.
"(And I do it again!)" Barkindle opened his mouth, which made Dartibi wide his eyes, the pooch Pokémon shot a flurry of small flames at close range, hitting the beetle in the face and receiving a critical hit. Dartibi fell on the ground. Lincoln then threw a Poké Ball at him and turned him into a stream of light, the closed ball landed on the ground and began to shake. After a moment, it stopped and sparkled.
"Dartibi's data has been registered in the Pokédex!" Said Rotom Phone!
"Good job dude!" Said Luna.
"Way to go!" Said Lana.
"The odds were against him, but he managed to triumph." Said Lucy who appeared next to the girls, startling them.
Charles just scoffed at Barkindle's victory, which Barkindle smirked while the ball was teleported.
"(When there's smoke, there's fire!)" Barkindle smirked.
"(You're beginning to sound more like Luan! Do better!)" Charles growled.
"(I'll allow that if you can prove you can take down a Pokemon!)" Barkindle scoffed at Charles.
"Man, he sure put up quite a fight, but we won in the end. Isn't that right Barkindle?" Said Lincoln as he pets Barkindle. Charles growled upon seeing Barkindle being patted.
"(Oh yeah! That felt nice!)" Barkindle panted as Lincoln pets him.
Lincoln then checked his Rotom Phone.
"Says here Dartibi knows Dynamic Punch, Bulk Up and Fury Cutter. His ability is Moxie, which boosts his attack when he knocks out a target." Said Lincoln.
"(That… would've been dangerous…)" Barkindle looked at Lincoln's Pokedex with concern.
After some walking the group came across three paths, but they could only choose one. One can lead further into the cave while the other two might lead them to a dead end.
"Which one is the correct one?" Asked Lincoln, putting his finger on his chin.
"I know a way." Said Lucy as she appeared next to Lincoln, startling him.
Lucy threw her Poké Ball into the air which summoned her Zubat.
"Use Supersonic." Said Lucy in her monotone voice.
"(Here we go…)" Zubat then sent odd soundwaves at the first path on the left, which then came back, then he proceeded to use Supersonic Defense on the middle path. Lincoln realises his goth sister is on to something.
"Echolocation, of course!" Said Lincoln as he snaps his fingers.
"Bats can find their way in a cave by using their echolocation." Lucy explained since she owns a bat herself and she befriended many bats.
The soundwave returned and then Zubat used Supersonic to the last path to the right, however, the soundwave didn't return and the Bat Pokémon flew ahead.
"That way." Said Lucy with her monotone voice as she walked while the others followed her.
They entered the path and after a few minutes of walking they finally got out. They ended up in an area full of rocks, stalactites and the walls had gems against them. Lucy heard her Zubat's squeak, she looked up and saw him hanging upside-down on a stalactite.
"(Home sweet home…)" Zubat took a few seconds worth of break.
"(Amazing…)" Charles marveled at the sight of Lucy's Zubat. "(Free TV Show about Nature…)"
Lucy gasped.
"Gasp! Even though he has no legs, he can still hang upside-down!" Said Lucy surprised, albeit with her monotone.
Suddenly they heard a sound of something hitting each other and they look at the direction of the noise. The camera showed a rock hitting another rock, until the one being hitted split open, revealing to have a geode inside. Then a hand grabbed the geode and took it to its mouth and began to chew the geode. The group noticed the geode eater to be a bipedal humanoid Pokémon with a dark purple body, armed with sharp teeth and claws. It had pale blue, gemstone-like eyes. It also had a red gemstone on its chest and its back had a blue and green gemstone as well as another red one.
"Wicked!" Said Lucy upon seeing the Pokémon.
"Let's see who this one is." Said Lincoln as he scanned it with his Rotom Phone.
Sableye The Darkness Pokémon. Dark/Ghost Type. Female. This Pokémon is feared. When its gemstone eyes begin to glow with a sinister shine, it's believed that Sableye will steal people's spirits away.
"Wicked!" Lucy commented upon listening to the entry, while Lincoln and the girls were creeped out of it.
"I don't want to find out if that is true or not..." Said Lincoln, to which Nova, Luna and Lana agreed with quick nods.
"A Dark and Ghost Type. And it is also called Darkness Pokémon? I made up my mind. I'm gonna catch her." Said Lucy with determination as she whistled which caught the attention of her Zubat.
Zubat let go of the stalactite, flew and stood in front of the Sableye, who stopped munching the geode upon noticing him. "(Let's start the bloodbath!)"
"Absorb." Said Lucy.
"(Time for some life-draining!)" Zubat flew towards Sableye with his teeth glowing green, bit her arm and began sucking her aura in a true vampire fashion. Sableye responded by slapping the bat away from her arm and then turned her back on Zubat, but then quickly turned around and cried loudly at Zubat which startled him and made him hit the ground. "(Hey!)"
"That must be Sableye's Astonish attack." Said Lincoln.
"Show her what a real Astonish is." Lucy ordered.
Zubat flew towards Sableye and as soon as he got close to her, covered his face with his wings and quickly uncovered them while shouting in the Darkness Pokémon's face, startling her and making her hit the ground. Sableye responds by glowing her claws and scratches him on the belly. "(OW!)"
"Absorb!" Said Lucy.
"(Another serving of Dark Blood!)" Zubat then leaped at Sableye with his teeth glowing green and bites down her chest and begins to suck, which recovered his health from the previous attack he received. He let go and flew a few distances away from the goblin Pokémon. Sableye then responded by making her own shadow having glowing red eyes and sending it towards Zubat.
"Dodge and use your Supersonic Defense!" Said Lucy.
Zubat managed to avoid the shadow, which came back to its owner and then the bat sent out odd soundwaves at Sableye, hitting her. She tried to attack Zubat but kept hurting herself by either tripping over rocks or bumping into the walls.
"What's wrong with Sableye?" Asked Lana.
"It's the effect of Supersonic." Answered Lincoln.
"What does Supersonic do, actually?" Asked Luna.
"Upon hitting its target, it causes them to become confused." Explained Nova.
"Finish with an Astonish." Said Lucy in her monotone.
Zubat flew towards Sableye and cried in her ear, startling her and making her hit the ground. She fell and struggled to get up, Lucy threw a Poké Ball at her, turned the Darkness Pokémon into a stream of light and got sucked inside. The ball landed on the ground and shook three times, it stopped and sparkled for an instant.
"The ghost has been tamed." Lucy grinned as she went to grab her newly caught Pokémon.
Zubat landed on Lucy's head with his wings folded and went to sleep with dignity. Upon grabbing her Poké Ball, Lincoln scanned it with his Rotom Phone.
"Says here Sableye knows Leer, Scratch, Astonish and Shadow Sneak. Her ability is Stall, which makes her to always be the last to use her moves." Said Lincoln.
"Wicked! I'll take good care of her, I also want to see if she can take my spirit away by glowing her eyes." Said Lucy with a small smile.
"No Lucy, no." Said Luna, worried about her gothic sister.
The group were walking among some rocks and boulders. At first it was a normal walk until Charles stepped on a boulder, which began to shake and a cry was heard.
"Is that boulder moving?" Lana asked as she noticed.
The others looked and saw the boulder beginning to slowly turn around by itself, which made the Louds and Charles dumbfounded, however Nova was suspicious of the boulder. When it completely turned around it turned out to be a brownish-gray boulder Pokémon. It has bulging, rocky eyebrows, trapezoidal eyes with brown pupils, and a wide mouth. Its arms are muscular with five-fingered hands.
"No way! A living boulder!" Luna gasped.
"Quick Lincoln, identify that Pokémon!" Said Lana as she tugged on his shirt which he quickly complied.
Geodude The Rock Pokémon. Rock/Ground Type. Male. It is impossible to distinguish from rocks. It slams against others in contests of hardness.
Geodude began to swing his fists furiously and floated towards Charles attempting to crush him with his rocky body. Only for Lana to get him out of harm's way on time.
"(Oh man, that was close…)" Charles whined as he was trying to recollect what happened.
"He must be angry at Charles for stepping on him." Deduced Nova.
"I like the name Geodude, mind weak him for me, bro?" Asked Luna.
"You got it sis!" Said Lincoln as he threw a Poké Ball which sent out Watuber.
Charles saw Watuber as he watched the battle incoming. "(Here we go!)"
"(I suppose a simple apology won't work…)" Watuber quickly got in her fighting stance. Geodude floated towards Watuber and attempted to slam her with his whole body.
"Dodge and use Bubble!" Said Lincoln.
Watuber quickly jumped out of the way and sprayed countless bubbles that jetted towards Geodude, hitting and dealing him a double super effective damage due to Geodude being both rock and ground type. However, much to the surprise of the Louds, Geodude is still standing.
"What the?!" Luna was shocked.
"Why is he still standing?!" Lana asked.
"That must be Geodude's Sturdy ability." Said Nova.
"Sturdy?" Asked Lucy who appeared next to them, startling them.
"It allows Geodude to never be knocked out by a single hit as long as his health is full." Explained Nova.
Geodude then rubbed his body which made him glow for an instant.
"Be careful Watuber..." Said Lincoln while watching for Geodude's next move.
Geodude folded his arms, landed on the ground and began to roll towards Watuber at high speed.
"Dodge!" Said Lincoln.
Watuber managed to dodge by jumping extremely high. "(Woah!)"
"Now use Scratch!" Said Lincoln.
Watuber dove while her paws were glowing and she scratched Geodude's back. Although, it was a little effective due to him being a rock type, since he was with little health due to Sturdy, he fell on the ground huffing while struggling to float.
"You know what to do Luna!" Said Lincoln.
Luna pulled out a Poké Ball and threw it at Geodude. It turned him into a stream of light and sucked him inside. It landed on the ground and began to shake, after a few seconds, it stopped shaking and sparkled.
"Rock 'n Roll dude!" Said Luna as she played an air guitar in triumph and went to grab her Poké Ball.
Watuber posed in a Martial Artist pose. "(You could've tried harder, in the end of the day, we'd still win…)"
"(Couldn't have said it better myself!)" Charles smiled a bit.
As soon as the rockstar grabbed it, Lincoln scans it with his Rotom Phone.
"Says here Geodude knows Tackle, Defense Curl, Rock Polish and Rollout. And just as Nova said, his ability is Sturdy, not only prevents single hits from knocking him out, it also prevents One-hit KO moves from knocking him out." Lincoln explained.
Later the group came across six paths. But that was no problem to Lucy's Zubat's echolocation. Upon getting out of the correct path they saw a humanoid, bipedal Pokémon that had blue-gray skin. It had three brown ridges on top of its head, large red eyes, and a relatively flat face. On either side of its chest were three, thin, rib-like stripes. Its feet appeared to have no toes, while its hands had five fingers. It also had a short, stubby tail. The Pokémon was hefting a boulder.
"Who's that?" Said Lana as Lincoln scanned it with his Rotom Phone.
Machop The Superpower Pokémon. Fighting Type. Female. Its whole body is composed of muscles. Even though it's the size of a human child, it can hurl 100 grown-ups.
"Lynn would definitely love this one!" Said Lincoln.
He threw a Poké Ball which sent out Eriegle. Machop stopped hefting the boulder and quickly got up in full alert at Eriegle.
"(Kneel before me!)" Eriegle cawed.
"Use Quick Attack!" Said Lincoln.
"(Take this!)" Eriegle dove towards Machop at high speed and managed to hit her. Machop responded by jumping and then punched The Nest Pokémon who felt the punch was even harder than he expected, but he managed to stop himself from spinning in the air and remained airborne.
"Use Air Slash!" Said Lincoln.
"(You'll PAY for that!)" Eriegle flapped his wings and shot an air blade at Machop which hit her and she suffered super effective damage. Machop closed her eyes and began to focus and glowed red for a second.
"So she also knows Focus Energy...be prepared Eriegle." Lincoln warned.
"(Hmmm…)" Eriegle watched Machop carefully, she ran towards Eriegle, jumped and attempted to kick him this time, but Lincoln saw that coming.
"Dodge and another Air Slash!" Said Lincoln.
"(I've got you, now!)" Eriegle flew out of the way, quickly turned around and shot an air blade which hit Machop's back, giving another super effective damage. Machop fell on the ground and struggled to get up, Lincoln threw his Poké Ball at her, upon making contact with the Superpower Pokémon it turned her into a stream of light and got sucked inside. The ball landed on the ground and began to shake. After a few moments it stopped and sparkled.
"Machop's data has been registered in the Pokédex." Said Rotom Phone as the ball is teleported.
"Lynn will be so happy when she meets Machop!" Lana smiled.
"She sure will." Luna agreed as Lincoln checked his Rotom Phone.
"Says here she knows Low Kick, Leer, Focus Energy and Revenge. And her ability is Guts which is the same as Rattata." Lincoln explained, however, the move "Revenge" caught the attention of Eriegle. "(Interesting…)"
"(What are you thinking, Eriegle?)" Asked Charles.
They walked some more until they saw a Pokémon coming out of one of the paths. It resembled a quadruped lizard, it was primarily green, had vertical pupils with yellow sclera, it had two yellow spots on its forehead and the end of its tail is yellow, each paw has two fingers. It had a brown underbelly, jagged mouth and a large horn on its cranium. Lincoln scanned it with his Rotom Phone.
Glozard The Glow Eyes Pokémon. Rock/Electric Type. Male. They flash the bio-luminescent spots on their tail and forehead to communicate. Their head spike lets them detect electrical charges in the area.
Upon seeing the group he began to flash his spots, being fully wary of them.
"Since he's a Rock and Electric type, he has double weakness against Ground type. It's your turn Cubone!" Said Lincoln as he threw a Poké Ball to send out the Lonely Pokémon.
Glozard electrified his horn, which made Cubone take that as a challenge and responded back by hitting the ground with her bone to show him her dominance. "(Don't dare challenge what you can't hit… I'm a Ground type and Electricity has no effect on me!)"
"Bone Club!" Said Lincoln.
"(Try this!)" Cubone ran towards Glozard and attempted to hit him with her bone. But Glozard dodged it and then shot a ball of electricity from his horn, it managed to hit Cubone, but she was unscathed which made Glozard wide his eyes in shock. "(You see?! No effect!)"
"Whoa! Cubone has no damage despite getting shocked!" Lana was surprised.
"How is that possible?" Luna asked.
"That's because Cubone is a Ground type, Electric type moves have no effect on Ground Types." Nova explained those elements.
"No effect?" Asked Lucy who appeared next to Nova, startling her.
"I-in other words, she's immune to electric attacks..." Nova elaborated for Lucy.
Seeing electric type moves won't work, Glozard summons some rocks that begin circling his horn and shoots them towards Cubone.
"Jump and use Bonerang!" Said Lincoln.
"(Hyah!)" Cubone dodges the incoming rocks by jumping extremely high and throws her bone which went spinning towards the Glow Eyes Pokémon. He managed to dodge the attack, and was about to throw more rocks at her, but didn't notice the bone coming back and hit him in the back of his head, however despite his double weakness to ground type attacks Glozard remained standing, but his legs were shaken as he's barely standing. Lincoln threw his Poké Ball at him, upon making contact with him, it turned him into a stream of light and got sucked inside. The closed ball landed on the ground and shook three times, after a moment, it sparkled.
"Glozard's data has been registered in the Pokédex." Said Rotom Phone as Lincoln checks more about Glozard.
"Says here Glozard knows Rock Throw, Leer, Electro Ball and Thunder Wave. His ability is Solid Rock which reduces the power of super effective attacks that hit him, which explains why he wasn't knocked out despite having a double weakness." Said Lincoln as the ball is suddenly teleported.
Cubone posed with her Bone Club drawn. "(In the end of the day, those with unfair disadvantages shouldn't be allowed to fight their superiors…)"
Charles looked at the Bone Club as he was thinking how good it would taste in his mouth.
Sly the Criminook looked at Charles from his Poké Ball in disbelief. If there was anything more valuable, it would be rare bones, but obviously; Cubone's are more of a Club than a bone itself. Then he started to imagine a toothless Charles, getting the consequences of biting into Cubone's Club. He chuckled at the thought, but then felt sorry for any Pokemon, specifically Canines as well as certain Felines, who have a thought of biting into one of the hardest, yet flavorless materials, the Bone Club of a Cubone.
The group found an area of the cave with ten paths. Lucy used her Zubat's echolocation and found two paths that can lead further in the cave.
"Hmm...left or right?" Said Lincoln with a finger on his chin.
"I say we should split up!" Suggested Nova.
"Yeah, it'll help cover more ground." Lana agreed.
The group split up, Luna, Lana and Charles went to the left path while Lincoln, Lucy and Nova went to the right path. With Luna's group, they walked in a place until Lana tripped over something.
"Oof! What the?" Said Lana as she saw what she tripped on, as she then began to dig like a dog, which Charles began to assist her.
"Dude, whaddya doing?" Luna asked Lana.
"I think I found something!" Lana replied as she finished digging.
She dug out a round object that seems to be made out of gold, which the two sisters became dumbfounded.
"Dude, a ball of gold!" Luna smiled at her lucky little sister.
"Yeah, wait until we show it to Lincoln, Lucy and Nova." Lana explained with excitement.
With Lincoln, Lucy and Nova, they were walking until some raised earth was moving.
"What's that?" Asked Lucy who appeared between Lincoln and Nova, startling them.
"Might be a Pokémon!" Lincoln deduced.
Popping out of the ground was a tiny, brown Pokémon that seems to be perpetually buried within the earth, leaving only its head visible. It has beady black eyes and a large, round, pink nose.
"A mole or a worm?" Lucy questioned the Pokémon's appearance.
"Only one way to find out." Lincoln answered as he scanned it with his Rotom Phone.
Diglett The Mole Pokémon. Ground Type. Female. It travels through tunnels that it digs underground. It hates sunlight, so it comes out only after the sun goes down.
"She kinda looks like those moles from Gus' Games and Grub's Whack-A-Mole." Lincoln smiled.
Lincoln threw a Poké Ball which sent out Nawdile. Diglett notices Nawdile and becomes in full alert. "(Here we go! Time to take you to Nawdile Isle!)"
"Use Bite!" Said Lincoln
Nawdile runs towards Diglett with his teeth glowing, Diglett startled at the Tiny Croc Pokémon approaching dodged by ducking inside her hole. "(What in the- hey!)"
"She's fast, gonna have to change my tactic..." Said Lincoln while giving a stern look.
Diglett responded by popping out right in front of Nawdile, startling him and making him hurt himself by hitting the ground. "(OW!)"
"That must be her Astonish..." Lucy explained since she's an expert at scaring people.
"Use Leafage in the hole!" Said Lincoln who came up with a plan.
"(Now I'm gonna get ya!)" Nawdile runs towards the previous hole, puts his head inside the hole and shoots a flurry of leaves underground, which hits Diglett underneath her, she falls by hitting face first on the ground. Lincoln threw his Poké Ball at Diglett and turned her into a stream of light and got sucked inside. The ball landed next to the hole and shook three times, then it instantly sparkled.
"(Nawdile Isle has its way around things, even ups and downs!)" Nawdile stood tall with a prideful smile.
"Way to go!" Said Nova.
"What else can she do?" Lucy asked, appearing next to Nova startling her. Lincoln checks his Rotom Phone as the ball is teleported.
"Says here she knows Sand Attack, Scratch, Growl and Astonish. Her ability is Arena Trap which prevents the opposing Pokémon from fleeing a battle." Lincoln explained.
"Yo Lincoln!" Said a voice which Lincoln and Lucy recognized.
It turns out to be Luna and Lana who managed to catch up to them.
"Hey girls, so what did you find?" Asked Lincoln.
"We found this!" Said Lana as she showed what she found.
"No way! Is that a Nugget?!" Nova gasped as she couldn't believe what she saw.
"A Nugget?" Lincoln asked Nova.
"It's an item made of gold, it can be sold for lots of money!" Explained Nova.
"Whoa!" The Louds were shocked.
"With this we can sell it for this dimension's currency, so we can buy some items for our journey and food for our Pokémon, and also buy more Poké Balls." Lincoln explained as he already knew what to do with the Nugget.
While they were talking, Charles was walking sniffing the ground until he caught a peculiar smell that led him to a wall, he began to dig which caught everyone's attention.
"Charles? Why are you digging through that wall?" Asked Lincoln with a raised eyebrow.
Charles kept digging until it was revealed that something was buried. "(Just a little more…)"
"Whoa! I guess Charles found something!" Lana exclaimed as she went to help Charles.
They digged out until they found a large pointed tooth which seems to have been buried for millions of years.
"(Awwwww… I thought it was a bone…)" Charles whined.
"Whoa! A fossil!" Lincoln grasped it as he was surprised.
"That's a fossil from an extinct Pokémon! I recommend you keep it. There's a town that has a lab that can revive the fossil." Explained Nova.
"Whoa! Lisa won't believe this!" Luna was surprised by the fact that fossils can be revived.
"Yeah, she'll probably doubt it until she sees for herself." Lana smiled knowing her genius little sister too well.
Sly snickered inside of his Poké Ball as he knows smart people and pokemon have fears as well. What he loves most about himself are that usually smart people as well as Psychic Pokemon don't usually have an effect on him, a Dark Type. But when he remembered about the Pokemon back at Lincoln's house, one can only imagine what Lisa was doing to them, which gave him the shivers. But nevertheless, it only proved that the genius doesn't know everything, which was also why Sly despised Scientists and Nerds. Lincoln was the only exception.
Barkindle, also inside of his Poké Ball, wondered what kind of fossils were in Lincoln's home universe. One can only imagine why Charles was more excited to dig from the ground; of course, there's bones, but they're rare.
"Speaking of Lisa, I hope she's not doing some experiments on the Pokémon she brought in our home dimension..." Said Lincoln worried.
"Nah, they'll be fine. They know how to defend themselves with their powers, remember?" Reassured Lana.
Lincoln sighed in relief, Lincoln stored the fossil (which he dubbed Big Tooth Fossil) inside his backpack and proceeded walking, at a certain point Lincoln caught a second Diglett. They came upon ten paths which were quickly solved by Lucy's Zubat's echolocation. After several minutes of walking they found a path with bright light.
"Look!" Said Lana as she pointed at the path.
"That must be the exit!" Said Lincoln.
"We'll finally get out of this cave!" Luna cheered.
"Sigh...I'm gonna miss this cave..." Lucy lamented as she appeared next to Luna, startling her.
"Let's go, everyone!" Said Nova as she ran ahead of them with the others following after her.
They ran, but just when they were almost to the exit, the ground began to shake. Which made them stop on their tracks.
"What the?!" Said Lincoln.
"The ground! I-is it shaking?!" Lana wobbled as she was trying to maintain her stance.
"Earthquake!" Exclaimed Luna.
Then popping out of the ground was a giant Pokémon. It resembled an earthworm, it was brown and cream-colored, had a jawless mouth with four pointed teeth, diamond shaped black eyes, a spike sticking out on each side of its mouth, several spikes protruding from its body and it was always curled up in a spiral.
"Whooooa! It's huge!" Said Lana.
"What kind of Pokémon is that?!" Luna asked as she was shocked.
"I'm checking on it!" Said Lincoln as he scanned it with his Rotom Phone.
Tundrill The Drill Worm Pokémon. Ground/Steel Type. Male. A major hazard for roads and urban areas in general. Twisting its body in a drilling motion, it can submerge into the ground in mere seconds. Attracted to noise, they quickly drill their way to the source. They also will set traps for prey to fall in.
"He must have heard our steps." Lincoln deduced.
Tundrill then sprayed mud at the group who managed to dodge it on time. Charles began to growl at him. "(HEY! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!)"
"Dude! Why is he attacking us? We didn't do anything to anger him!" Asked Luna, who was surprised.
"This part of the cave must be his territory!" Lana deduced.
"Guess we gotta solve it with a battle..." Said Lincoln as he threw a Poké Ball in the air.
Watuber was sent out of her Poké Ball and got in her fighting stance. Tundrill growls at her, however despite being bigger than her, the Float Cub Pokémon didn't back down. "(I'll never back down from a battle that costs the lives of my owner and my friends!)"
"Use Bubble!" Said Lincoln.
Watuber sprays countless bubbles that jetted towards Tundrill, giving super effective damage. Tundrill begins to twist his body in a drilling motion and submerged himself into the ground very fast in a matter of seconds. "(Using the ground as your advantage…)"
"He can dig himself underground!" Lana commented.
"Where's he gonna pop out?" Said Lincoln as he kept looking for where Tundrill would strike along with Watuber.
Tundrill then emerged underneath Watuber and hit her. Watuber was struck from the ground, much to everyone's shock.
"Watuber! Are you okay?" Asked Lincoln.
"(That was a dirty trick…)" Watuber managed to quickly get up, despite having a few scratches, she nodded to her trainer, to show she's fine. Tundrill's tail becomes covered in metal and swung at Watuber.
"Dodge!" Lincoln ordered, frantically.
"(Woah!)" Watuber dodged from the attack, which left a crater due to the impact of it. Lincoln began to try to come up with a plan.
"Bubble!" Said Lincoln.
Watuber sprays countless bubbles which jetted towards the Drill Worm Pokémon, which gave super effective damage. Tundrill responded by spraying mud at Watuber, hitting her, she glows blue for an instant. "(Ugh! I'm all muddy now!)"
"Her speed has been lowered..." Said Nova with a stern look.
Tundrill once again twisted his body in a drilling motion and submerged himself into the ground. However, Lincoln decided to use a strategy he did in a previous battle earlier.
"Watuber, use Bubble in the hole!" Said Lincoln.
"(Here goes Nawdile's strategy…)" Although with slight speed, Watuber managed to reach the hole, jumped and sprayed countless bubbles that jetted into the hole, they scattered underground. The ground shook and they could hear Tundrill's roar of pain. Tundrill then emerged from the ground and was still standing, staring down at Watuber.
"Dang it! I thought that would work!" Said Lincoln as he snapped his fingers in frustration.
"That's one tough worm!" Said Lana.
"What's Lincoln gonna do now?" Asked Luna.
"He'll come up with another plan. They don't call him "The Man With The Plan" for nothing." Lucy explained as she knows her brother so well.
As Tundrill stared down onto Watuber, Watuber looked back at Tundrill with a disciplined look which signalled that she won't back down. For a moment, Tundrill was standing, when suddenly he collapsed to the ground with swirly eyes, much to everyone's surprise.
Watuber stared down at the knocked out Tundrill as she posed with a calm demeanor. "(I owe you this one, Nawdile…)"
"(Nawdile Isle has a new flavor!)" Nawdile stood up with pride within his Poké Ball.
"Whoa! So his plan did work." Luna was surprised.
"Now, the final touch!" Lincoln exclaimed.
Lincoln threw a Poké Ball at the giant worm, upon making contact turned him into a stream of light and got sucked inside. The ball landed on the ground and shook three times until it stopped shaking and sparkled.
"Tundrill's data has been registered in the Pokédex! And Watuber learned Water Gun!" Said Rotom Phone.
"Awesome! Guess you don't need Bubble anymore." Lincoln told his Watuber.
Watuber did a pirouette spin triumphantly while the ball was teleported. The girls approached Lincoln and congratulated him on his victory against the territorial Pokémon. Lincoln checks his Rotom Phone.
"Says here Tundrill knows Mud Shot, Dig, Iron Tail and Sandstorm. His ability is Sand Rush which boosts his speed during a sandstorm." Said Lincoln
The group went to the path and finally got out of the cave. Everyone but Lucy were happy to finally be outside of the cave. In the distance they saw a city. They walked for hours until during a sunset they finally reached. Lincoln saw a sign.
"Welcome to Umbropine City." Lincoln read out loud.
"This city has a Pokémon Center where we can sleep for the day." Nova explained.
"Pokémon Center?" Luna asked Nova.
"It's a hospital for Pokémon, it also has rooms for us to sleep, and a market for us to buy things." Nova explained to Luna.
"Wow! Just like a vet, but with a mix of a hotel with a mini market in it." Lana reviewed what a Pokémon Center meant.
"Good, my Zubat and Sableye need some treatment after their training in the cave." Said Lucy as she appeared next to the trio, startling them.
"Dude, what are you talking about? You were with us the entire time." Luna asked Lucy.
"I battled many wild Pokémon while you guys were busy walking in that cave." Said Lucy, which made everyone exchange glances.
They decided to shrug this off and entered the city. During their walk, they passed by a dark alley, several eyes began to glow in the dark, which got Charles's attention. He looked at the glowing eyes, he couldn't see well due to being dark, but he could tell that the silhouettes resembled a clowder of cats, while the leader has the silhouette of a big cat. Charles whimpered while drooping his ears and having his tail between his legs, runs to the Louds and Nova for safety. "(Wait for me!)"
EPILOGUE
Back in the Loud House, Lisa was in her and Lily's room with a vortex opened, after returning the Pokémon (Except Hoothoot, Dorentu and Sentret) to Lincoln's PC, she decided to study his other Pokémon, as well as his three new captures.
"Now, let's see which Pokémon brother unit caught this time?" Said Lisa.
She grabbed five more Poké Balls, with one of them having a note to send it out in the backyard. Lisa went to the backyard with the Poké Balls, which caught the attention of the other sisters and the remaining Pokémon and pets. She threw the Poké Balls in the air and they opened. Sending out streams of light that formed five Pokémon; Spearow, Zigzagoon, Dartibi, Machop and Diglett, who was already half buried. As soon as they got out, Diglett began to move through the ground, Spearow began to flap her wings at high speed to fly, Zigzagoon filled with curiousity began to run in zigzags. Dartibi began to shadow-box while Machop began to do push-ups.
"Hey, I like those two!" Said Lynn Jr upon seeing Machop and Dartibi's personalities.
Cliff sighed as he knew this could end in whatever was meant to punish Lynn Jr for whatever shenanigans she could get into with Fighting Type Pokemon.
"(Oh great, Lincoln brought home two fighters…)" Fangs sighed as he rested upside down on a tree branch.
"(Please, do mind that if Lynn wants all out in a battle… Take it easy, she's a sore loser. And from what Hoothoot told me, Lynn's could match a Fighting/Dark Type, and that's coming from the fact that he heard of Lucy's stories of Darkness…)" Cliff reasoned with Dartibi and Machop who both huffed, taking note on how fragile the bones and muscles as well as nerves on a human are.
"(Sssssuch strength and discipline… Sssssomething that Lynn doesn't have…)" El Diablo hissed.
"Is that literally a mole or a worm?" Lori asked about the Diglett.
"Look at the raccoon going!" Said Leni as she saw Zigzagoon running in zigzag and stopping to look at everything that she's interested in.
"Well, what other species Lincoln will discover?" Lisa questioned as she adjusted her glasses.
