Author's note: Sorry for the delay had a bit of writer's block and got distracted with a fun and cool website that reeled me right in. Plus it was giving me ideas for fanfics or juicy oneshots - though some of them would be best meant for Archive of our own.

Remember now, this fanfiction is written for fun not accuracy, that out of the way enjoy!

Last time, Ash and Laoise finally got to battle in the Pokémon League competition. In Laoise's first match on the Rock field, Laoise got a clean sweep, and didn't lose a single Pokémon. While on the water field, Ash put all his hopes on Krabby. Then, after putting the pinch on Exeggutor, Krabby evolved into Kingler! Kingler sank Seadra, and beamed Golbat! With new fans on their side, Ash and Kingler were unstoppable! And together, they both won two thrilling victories.

Over on the Rock field, the crowd is watching the second battle on said field.

"Now, the second battle on the Rock field is nearing its climax! Each of the trainers has just one Pokémon left! The outcome of this match could very well be decided by which Pokémon these two young trainers select! Who will make the winning decision?!" the Announcer said excitedly.

Ash wins his second preliminary battle on the Rock Field with Squirtle.

All of Ash's friends and his fans celebrated while Gary watches on with his cheerleaders.

The announcer said, "And a very happy Ash Ketchum will now move on to the third round of this Pokémon League competition!"

Near the exit, Gary watched Ash's battle with his cheerleaders.

"Just look at him. He wins two easy matches and he's acting like he won the whole competition." He scoffed.

And he began to walk out of the arena "He better enjoy all his celebrating now. Same with Laoise. Because when their luck runs out, both Laoise McGrady and Ash Ketchum won't have anything to cheer about. Unless they want to cheer for me, right, girls?"

The cheerleaders cheer Gary on as he walks out of the arena.

The following day, Ash wins his second preliminary battle on the Rock Field with Squirtle.

Now Laoise's second preliminary battle would take place on the Ice Field, with Laoise's friends and the fans are ready for the match to start, even Gary was watching.

"And now the next second round match is about to begin! It's Desmond Breisacher going up against newcomer Laoise McGrady!" the announcer said.

Laoise was once again on the green side and her opponent Desmond, a blonde boy on the ride side.

It was time to see how she would fare in her second match.

"Tricky, I choose you!" Laoise tossed her pokèball.

Laoise's Gengar materialized, surprising Gary. "She's got a Gengar?!" He gaped.

Ash, Pikachu, Misty, and Brock are watching Laoise's match from the bench, how would their friend fare in her secon match?

"Demond chooses Rhydon while Laoise has chosen Gengar as her first Pokémon." commented the Announcer.

The referee raised both flags, "Let the battle begin!"

"Tricky, show them your ghostly power!" Laoise commanded her Gengar on the icy battlefield, ready to face off against Desmond's Rhydon in the second preliminary match on the Ice Field.

The crowd murmured in surprise at Laoise's choice of Pokémon, showcasing her versatility as a Trainer. With Tricky by her side, she was determined to give her best and secure another victory on the icy terrain.

As the battle between Gengar and Rhydon commenced, Laoise focused on strategizing and adapting to the cold and slippery conditions of the Ice Field. Tricky's ghostly abilities could prove to be advantageous in this icy battlefield, and she was ready to put them to good use.

"Tricky, start with a Shadow Ball attack!" Laoise commanded, her voice filled with determination as Gengar unleashed a powerful sphere of ghostly energy towards Rhydon.

Desmond's Rhydon retaliated with a powerful Earthquake attack, causing the icy ground beneath them to shake and crack. Laoise knew she had to be quick on her feet and come up with a plan to outmaneuver her opponent's strong Rock and Ground-type Pokémon.

The battle between Gengar and Rhydon intensified, each Pokémon showcasing their unique strengths and tactics in the frigid battlefield. Laoise remained focused and determined, analyzing the situation and planning her next move carefully to secure victory in her second match.

With a clever combination of hypnosis and dream eater, Gengar managed to weaken Rhydon and secure a victory for Laoise in the Ice Field battle.

"Tricky, you were amazing out there! I'm so proud of you," Laoise praised her Gengar, a bright smile on her face as she celebrated their hard-earned victory. "One step closer to the final rounds!"

"Unbelievable!" whooped the announcer, "It looks like Laoise is gonna pull another clean sweep in the next couple of matches if she keeps this up!"

Desmond called back his Rhydon, "Return! Not bad, but not good enough. Go, Raichu!"

Raichu materialized, Tricky looked at Laoise eagerly.

"You sure you're good to go, don't you want a rest?" Laoise asked her Gengar.

"Geng, Gengar!" Tricky nodded excitedly.

Laoise nodded, "Okay."

"And it looks like Laoise is sticking with Gengar."

"I'm not sure if that's a good idea." Misty murmured.

Brock, "But if Ash can take care of business with just one Pokémon, then maybe Laoise can, too."

Back on the Ice field, Demond shouted his first order, "Raichu, Quick Attack!"

Raichu goes for a Quick Attack.

"Dodge it and use Curse!" Laoise called.

Laoise's Gengar puts up a good fight, but he's taken down. It was astonishing yet stranger things have happened.

"Tricky!" Laoise yelped in concern for her ghost pokèmon.

Tricky falls dizzy in defeat.

The referee checks and raises a red flag, "Gengar is unable to continue! Raichu wins!"

Laoise's Gengar blacked out on the board.

"Ooh taken down! Now each trainer has two pokèmon each, who will come out on top?"

That's gfotta hurt. Ash winced sympathetically.

Pikachu nodded, "Chuu."

"But Laoise still has two Pokémon left, she still has a chance." Brock reminded.

"Tricky, return!" Laoise recalled her Gengar, "You were amazing, and taking Rhydon out was really good. Thanks. Now, take a nice long rest." She took out a second Pokéball. "Okay, its your turn. Storm, let's do this!"

Laoise's female pikachu materialized, and brings looks of shock to the others.

"And Laoise's second Pokémon is a Pikachu." The announcer said.

"Storm, stay focused, this will take speed and using your head within the field!" Laoise told her Pikachu.

"Pikachu!" Storm nodded once.

"Storm, let's show them what we're made of!" Laoise encouraged her Pikachu, ready to continue the battle on the icy field despite the setback with Tricky, her Gengar. With determination in her eyes, she knew that Storm's speed and agility would be crucial in turning the tide of the match in their favor.

As Raichu and Storm faced off on the icy battlefield, Laoise focused on utilizing her Pikachu's quick reflexes and clever tactics to outmaneuver Desmond's Electric-type Pokémon. The icy terrain added an extra challenge, but Laoise was determined to overcome it and secure victory in her second match.

"Storm, use your speed to dodge and counter with a Thunderbolt attack!" Laoise commanded, her voice filled with confidence as her Pikachu darted around the battlefield, avoiding Raichu's attacks.

Raichu countered with a Thunder Shock, aiming to catch Storm off guard with its own Electric-type move. However, Storm's quick reflexes allowed her to evade the attack and deliver a powerful Thunderbolt, striking Raichu with a surge of electrical energy.

The battle between Pikachu and Raichu intensified, each Pokémon showcasing their unique strengths and strategies in the icy arena. Laoise remained focused and determined, analyzing the battlefield and planning her next move carefully to secure victory in this crucial match.

With a clever combination of Quick Attack and Iron Tail, Storm managed to outmaneuver Raichu and land a decisive blow, knocking out Desmond's Electric-type Pokémon and securing another victory for Laoise on the Ice Field.

"Raichu is unable to battle, Pikachu is the winner."

"Great job, Storm! You were amazing out there," Laoise praised her Pikachu, a proud smile on her face as she celebrated their hard-earned victory. "We're not backing down yet! Let's keep up the momentum for the next battle!"

Desmond's final pokèmon was a Machamp.

"Storm, return!" Laoise recalled her pikachu.

Storm returns to her Pokéball. Everyone was left wondering what Laoise will use next.

"She's got one choice left, let's just hope its something strong enough to take care of a Machamp."

"Typhon, let's rock this place!" Laoise tossed her final pokéball.

Laoise's Gyarados materialized.

"And Laoise substitutes Pikachu for Gyarados!" the announcer said.

"Typhon, show them the power of the sea!" Laoise commanded her Gyarados, ready to face off against Desmond's formidable Machamp in the final battle of the match on the icy field.

The crowd murmured in anticipation, eager to witness the clash between the mighty Gyarados and the powerful Machamp. Laoise knew that Typhon's Water and Dragon-type moves would be crucial in this intense battle, and she was determined to give it her all to secure victory and advance to the next round of the Pokémon League.

As the battle commenced, Gyarados unleashed a powerful Hydro Pump attack, sending a torrent of water crashing towards Machamp with immense force. Desmond's Machamp retaliated with a dynamic Cross Chop, aiming to strike back at Gyarados with swift and powerful blows.

Laoise remained focused and strategic, analyzing the battlefield and planning her next move carefully to outmaneuver her opponent's Fighting-type Pokémon. With the icy terrain adding an extra challenge, she knew that every decision mattered in this crucial battle.

"Typhon, use Dragon Dance to boost your speed and power!" Laoise commanded, her voice filled with determination as her Gyarados performed a graceful and powerful dance, enhancing its strength and agility for the upcoming clash.

Machamp charged forward with a Dynamic Punch, aiming to deliver a devastating blow to Gyarados. However, with the boost from Dragon Dance, Typhon was able to dodge the attack and counter with a fierce Dragon Tail, striking Machamp with tremendous force.

The battle between Gyarados and Machamp raged on, each Pokémon showcasing their unique strengths and tactics in the icy battlefield. Laoise and Typhon fought with unwavering resolve, determined to overcome the challenges and emerge victorious in the face of adversity.

With a final, decisive Hydro Pump attack, Gyarados landed a critical hit on Machamp, knocking it out and securing the victory for Laoise in the thrilling battle on the Ice Field.

Machamp was now swirly eyed, the referee made the call.

"Machamp is unable to battle, Gyarados wins, which means the victory goes to the green trainer, Laoise."

Desmond's final Pokémon blacks out on the board, and Laoise is left on the board as she celebrates her victory with her cheering friends.

"Come here, big guy!" Laoise held out her arms to her Gyarados.

Typhon nuzzled his trainer, closing its eyes.

"Typhon, you were incredible out there! I'm so proud of you," Laoise praised her Gyarados, a bright smile on her face as she celebrated their hard-earned victory. "We did it! On to the next challenge!"

Even the crowd was cheering, it was an exhilarating victory.

Misty later arrives at the group's accommodation, only to notice Ash and Laoise's absence while Brock takes care of Ash's Pokémon. She criticizes this and the two leave to search for the other two trainers.

Meanwhile, Ash and Laoise are searching for a place to eat.

"Me and Laoise gotta get something to eat." Ash said, "You must be as hungry as we are, Pikachu."

Pikachu rode on Ash's said, "Pika."

Laoise nodded, her hands in her pockets, "Brock and Misty are okay because they were just watching, but being in those battles sure works up an appetite."

Soon, the two come to a stop.

"Maybe we made a wrong turn back at roller disco..." Laoise wondered.

The group goes past the theater, where Pokémon in Love is being shown and advertised.

Laoise shrugged, "Well, there's no restaurant, but… Hey! Look! It's a parade!"

She was right, for at that moment, a parade of Pokémon floats were seen going down the street.

Ash grinned, "Wow! They have lots of cool events going on at the Pokémon League!"

Soon, Brock's voice is heard. "Hey, guys!"

The rest of the gang catches up, with Ash and Laoise's Pokémon in hand.

Misty said, "We've been looking everywhere."

Ash admitted. "We got kinda lost."

"Sort of. Anyway, what are you all doing here?" Laoise asked.

Misty scolded, "Did you two forget all about your Pokémon, or are your stomachs more important than they are?!"

"We were just getting something to eat." Laoise retorted, "Besides, the restaurant we're looking for wouldn't let a whole bunch of big Pokémon like Pidgeotto and Kingler eat inside, but would maybe let the likes of Pikachu and Leafy eat inside. And FYI, me and Ash are the ones in the competition, not you."

"That may be, but you three can stuff your faces after we drop your Pokémon off at the Pokémon Center." Misty said.

Soon, our heroes are hunting for a Pokémon Center.

Misty mused, "I wonder what Pokémon you two should use in the third round."

Ash said, "They told me that my next match is gonna be in the ice field, so I think the other trainer will probably be using some ice type Pokémon. Guess that means I should probably stick with Squirtle and Kingler."

Laoise chimed in, "And my next match is on the grass field."

They reach the Pokémon Center, but there's a massive line in front of it. Due to the Pokémon League competition, this center was full so they would have to head to the next pokèmon center.

Finally, Ash and Laoise turn and spot the restaurant they were looking for.

"Yes! All You Can Eat!" Ash was delighted, "Come on, let's chow down, fellas!"

Pikachu nodded earnestly, "Pika!"

Misty protested, "Ash, Laoise, your Pokemon!"

Ash: "But we haven't had anything to eat all day!"

Pikachu insisted. "Pika Pika!"

"And just what if we pass out on the spot before we found another Pokémon Center? How do you think our Pokémon would feel about that?" Laoise pointed out.

With that, they went in, except they had no money but they missed one little detail: All meals were free for Pokémon League competitors.

Soon, the three pick and choose what to have, and soon, the girls join them.

During the meal, Pikachu saves Togepi's life from falling cutlery, though Misty only sees Pikachu performing a seemingly dangerous stunt. She warns her Pokémon not to follow suit and goes on to criticize Ash's training methods.

Ash then noticed, "Hey, wasn't Brock with you all?"

"Say, where is Brock, anyway?" Laoise looked around.

Our heroes then head to a building where they believed Brock was said to be waiting for them

Misty said, " Brock said he'd be waiting here."

"But knowing him, he probably got distracted by a pretty girl just passing by." Laoise remarked.

Ash called out, "Hey, Brock!"

As they looked, various Officer Jennies and Nurse Joys are seen coming out of the building, or going past our heroes, or taking care of civilians who asked for them.

"Look at all the Jennies." Ash looked around.

Misty added, "And all the Joys, too."

Soon, they spot Brock spacing out again.

Brock blushed, "It doesn't get any better than this. Nurse Joys and Officer Jennies everywhere."

A Nurse Joy runs by.

"You're the Joy from Saffron City."

Another Joy runs down the street... "And you're the Joy from Celadon City. Remember me?"

Misty facepalmed, "Brock's going crazy!"

Soon, our heroes are at another Pokémon Center, and it also has a very long line. Noticing this, Team Rocket decides to use this opportunity to swipe Laoise and Ash's Pokémon by opening a fake Pokémon Center. James, disguised in a nurse outfit with a face-mask, lures them into the auspicious building, where Ash submits his Pokémon for healing. However, Brock becomes suspicious when he isn't attracted to the Center's Nurse Joy, who is actually Jessie.

While the trainers are talking, they keep saying the word "trouble," which eventually triggers Team Rocket to recite their motto and reveal themselves. As a result, Team Rocket is forced to destroy the fake Center and flee in their balloon. Brock's Onix stops them and retrieves Laoise and Ash's Pokémon. After biting a hole into their balloon, Onix sends Team Rocket blasting off again.

Afterwards, the group hears that new Pokémon can now be admitted into the Pokémon Center. Both Ash and Laoise takes this opportunity to heal their Pokémon.

The shot transitions over to the next day and a battle in the third round is underway.

"Fearow's Wing Attack misses, and Ponyta is all fired up." The announcer was saying.

Laoise's third round on the grass field is nearing it's end.

Laoise called out, "Now, Sunriser, Fire blitz!"

The attack connects and Fearow is sent falling.

"Ponyta turns the tables on Fearow with a powerful attack!"

The fearow crashes into a rock and falls to the ground, knocked out.

The referee checked then raised a green flag, "Fearow is out of commission, and the third round victory goes to Laoise."

"Yeeah!" Laoise was jumping up and down with excitement, "Way to go, Sunriser!"

"And Laoise moves on to the fourth round, what an unbelievable match!" remarked the announcer.

Later, at the ice field, Ash's battle is underway, with both trainers down one Pokémon.

Announcer: "And now we're waiting for this third round match between Pallet Town's Ash Ketchum and Pewter City's Pete Pebbleman to continue! Both of them have already won one battle, each. And now that we're on the ice field, this match is really heating up!"

Ash uses Kingler for the battle, while Pete uses Cloyster for the battle. Pete orders Cloyster to Withdraw into its spiked shell, helping it defend itself from Kingler's barrage of Crabhammers. While Ash fears that Kingler will be exhausted, Misty and Brock encourage him to keep going, since Cloyster is still losing health despite the defense boost. Kingler keeps hitting Cloyster with its Crabhammer until Cloyster's shell finally cracks, knocking it out.

Pete recalls Cloyster and sends out Arcanine. Kingler tries a Bubble attack, but Pete's Arcanine dodges it and uses Dragon Rage. Kingler is caught in the icy twister, but with Ash's plea, it manages to stand up. Ash still recalls Kingler and sends Pikachu onto the battlefield.

Ash still recalls Kingler and sends Pikachu onto the battlefield. Hoping to confuse his opponent, Ash has Pikachu use Agility and it narrowly evades Arcanine's Fire Blast attacks.

Clever move. Make Arcanine miss any attacks it has planned to throw, thus make it sloppy in its execution, and then the finishing attack.

Pete soon reveals his strategy: the Fire Blast attacks were meant to melt the field.

"This is unbelievable!" The announcer was stunned, "The whole field has melted down to two little icebergs!"

Ash gasped, "Oh no!"

Pikachu is seen floating on an iceberg smaller than Arcanine's "Pika Pi!"

The announcer said, "With nowhere to go, Pikachu is trapped! It can't use its Agility!"

The technique takes Ash by surprise, but with Brock's suggestion, Ash has Pikachu dive into the water. Misty reminds him that water conducts electricity.

"Pikachu, Thunderbolt attack, now!"

Pikachu lets loose its voltage, and gives Arcanine the shock of its life, sending it crashing into the water after the attack destroyed the iceberg and sent it flying.

Arcanine is seen unconscious in the water.

The referee declared, "Arcanine has been eliminated! The victory goes to trainer Ash Ketchum!"

The crowd erupted in cheers over Ash's third round victory.

Ash crowed, "We did it! We just won our third round match!"

"Alright, Ash!" Laoise cheered.

They all started celebrating as Ash and Pikachu hugged.

So, thanks to some great coaching from Brock, and Misty, and a little high voltage help from Pikachu, Ash and Laoise win once again! They're getting better and better! Will they be able to beat the best? We'll have to wait and see.

To be continued...

Author's note: Sorry if it feels too short, but I'm way overdue on some fanstuff too. Plus the next battles are gonna take lots of thinking.
