12: Goodbyes: Tiernan says goodbye to his distant father. Patrek promises his mother he'll try to win. Jude's dad gives him advice for the arena. Shazia tells her grandmother she'll be strong. Chevre vows to her family that she will return. Tisiphone's younger sisters yell at her for Volunteering.

13: Desperate Times: Aveline realizes that Bastet is still alive back in Two, but only because Bastet is a Two tribute. Jem meets Shazia and tries not to think about how desperate his situation is. Tomo begs his Mentor, Esper, to make sure his dogs are taken care of back in Six. Wisdom watches the Reapings. Fleur tells the Six team about her life and asks about Esper's. Valentina meets her strange, dirty district partner.

14: Desperate Measures: Against her better judgment, True looks out for her district partner Jude. Tiernan gets on the wrong side of Mendi, and she smashes a dinner plate. Rumi refuses to tell his Mentor why they Volunteered. Chase asks Jest if he wants to get matching tattoos. Qibli agrees to help Mercury investigate his father's death in exchange for Mercury taking the Games seriously. Brizo and Tisiphone spend a quiet night on the train together watching television.

15: Parades: Stranger Than Fiction: Jest is forcibly tattooed by his stylists. Zinnia's stylist fixes her hearing aid. Bastet flirts with Tisiphone and pretends to not recognize Aveline. Bryony and Patrek meet Mendi and Tiernan. Aescelin mourns the loss of his dirtiness and chats with Valentina. Vince cheers up Aveline and greets the crowds. Esper calls home, and finds out his father-in-law has died of alcohol poisoning. Furthermore, his husband Townes has just been appointed mayor in Six.

16: Training 1: Take a Chance: Aveline and Bastet have a rocky catch-up. Jest and Chevre hit it off. Rumi chases off Brizo and kisses Vince, sealing a new alliance. True agrees to ally with Jem after some persuasion. Shazia gets a kick out of Chase.

17: Close Your Eyes: Tisiphone receives romantic attention from Bastet. Valentina barbeques while she and Aescelin come up with a plan to mess with newly formed alliances. Patrek grapples with the incoming violence of the Games while talking to Bryony.

18: Training 2: Raise the Stakes: Mendi is comforted by Bryony. Jude approaches Jem and True, making a deal to join their alliance. Fleur is accidentally egged by Chase, and with Shazia they meet Zinnia in the bathroom. Jem approaches Tomo about an alliance, but Tomo is unsure. Vince makes out with Mercury to make Rumi remember who's in charge.

19: Innocent Gestures: Zinnia attends a party on the sixth floor with Fleur, Chase, Shazia, and Tomo, where a glitter bomb is set off. Brizo and Aveline talk, but are interrupted by an apparent love letter from Bastet to Tisiphone. Chevre talks strategy with True, Jem, Jest, and Jude before Tomo arrives, covered in glitter, and they play Go Fish.

20: Training 3: Conflict of Interest: Bryony copes and tries to hold her alliance of herself, Mendi, Tiernan, and Patrek together. Mercury tries very hard to get Tomo to join the Career alliance. Wisdom accepts Chevre's invitation into the growing anti-Career alliance. Chase plots revenge against Valentina and Aescelin for sending the glitter bomb. Bastet fights with Aveline about the fake love letter, and they end up pushing each other into a pool.

21: Foggy Realities: Tomo finds out gay people exist and his father might be connected to Mercury's father's death. Tiernan worries about Mendi's innocence in her mother's disappearance. Aescelin sees the Spirit he thought he had made up, now real, and swears his allegiance. Sienna watches the unedited footage of her Games, and then she and Esper, Aurelia, Dimitri, Mallory, and Gigi find odd footage of the last Quell.

22: Private Sessions: Scoring and Scheming: The Gamemaker team scores each private session as they see fit. President Hargrove demands that Bellona make sure Fleur Pettifur survives the Games.

23: Interviews 1: So Little Time: Zinnia completes her interview with pre-written flashcards as her answers. Wisdom talks alliances. Brizo enjoys getting attention for once. Chase explains how her life in Five prepared her to win. Fleur appeals to her Capitol background. Aescelin attempts to recruit the audience.

24: Interviews 2: Fading Light: True discusses what happened with her aunt. Shazia divulges her pre-Games murder. Bryony talks about home. Patrek wonders how realistic he's being, then talks about his family. Tiernan and Mendi struggle to interact.

25: Night Before 1: Not Dead Yet: Vince helps Aveline get ready for their night-before-the-Games party in the One apartments. Chevre checks in with her Mentor, Mallory. Jest recounts various memories with his brother Jori. Mendi receives a warning from Sienna. Bastet is confronted by their Mentor, Diana, about their approach to their allies. Jude has a nightmare.

26: Night Before 2: Second Thoughts: A drunken Aveline is reluctantly taken care of by Bastet. Mercury realizes Tomo is connected to his father's murder. Rumi flirts with Vince, but Vince isn't in the mood. Tomo denies that his father was involved with Mercury's father's death, but Mercury doesn't believe him. Valentina suffers through a conversation with Chase. Back on the sixth floor, Tomo tells Jem and his alliance about the situation with Mercury, and Jem persuades Tomo to officially join his alliance instead of the Careers. After apprehending a furious Mercury, Tisiphone discovers a dead tribute.

27: Interlude: Bluffs and Bargains: Esper and Aurelia are interviewed about the premature tribute death. During Aurelia's interview, Bellona makes it clear that this development has her fearing for her life. She agrees to help Aurelia with a project.

28: Bloodbath: Heaven for Sinners: Jude takes in the Wild West arena and witnesses a tribute seem to jump off their pedestal early. Jest and Chevre flee, with Jude riding piggyback. Vince, reeling from the night before, guards the Cornucopia and witnesses Bastet kill Zinnia. Brizo becomes angry when Mercury interrupts his fight with Shazia. Fleur is brought out of her freeze response by Tomo, then dragged from the Cornucopia by Chase. Aveline kills Bryony. Jem fights Aescelin long enough that True can come to his rescue. Tiernan confronts Mendi, who kills him. Shazia succumbs to Mercury instead of Brizo.

29: Day 1: Running for Cover: Tisiphone and her allies make plans, bicker about kill-stealing, and organize the Cornucopia. True patches up Jem's back, and they reunite with Wisdom and Tomo. Chase and Fleur process what just happened. Valentina discovers the mine tunnels running through the arena and makes her descent. Mendi finds Patrek, and when the anthem finishes, discovers a ghost of Tiernan has materialized behind her.

30: Day 2: In Plain Sight: Chevre remembers Rumi and makes a plan with Jest to find the others. Aescelin is found and patched up by Valentina, who gets to hear about his religious revelations. Mercury returns to the Cornucopia and quickly flees after Vince pins Rumi's death on him. Wisdom's group reunites with Chevre, Jest, and Jude, and the full alliance makes a plan to take the Cornucopia. Bastet makes up with Tisiphone. Jude and True talk about the ghosts and being brave.

31: Day 3: Lean On Me: Fleur is kept alive by Chase and recounts some of her backstory to her. Tomo remembers the party, and then spots a furious Mercury sprinting toward him. Aveline and Bastet discuss the past. Jem, Wisdom, Chevre, and Tomo apprehend Mercury and interrogate him before releasing him back into the arena. Patrek and Mendi hide from Chase and Fleur. Brizo and Tisiphone have a quiet moment of friendship together.

32: Day 4: Smoking Gun: Jest prepares for the day ahead. Vince and their alliance are ambushed by the anti-Careers, and Vince fights against Jest and Tomo. Bastet and Aveline fight Chevre and Jem, resulting in Aveline's death. True is brutally killed by Brizo. Jude believes True comes back for him, but their mind is playing tricks on him.

33: Day 5: Left in Pieces: Chase and Fleur reminisce. Brizo is confronted by Tisiphone and loses it. Tisiphone realizes Brizo killed the other male trainees during the big Four storm, and kills him in self-defense. Mercury believes he finds a tribute to kill, but Valentina tricks him, and he is run over with a mine cart in the tunnels. Valentina takes his weapon and keeps up the religious act for Aescelin. Mendi and Patrek talk about gardening.

34: Interlude: A Will and a Way: Townes takes over his father's office, realizing that his death was not by alcohol poisoning. Instead, his father was killed by the Capitol for rigging a Capitolite, Fleur Pettifur, into the Games on a bribe. Sienna receives an email from Dimitri Volkov. Bellona Hargrove throws in the towel and begs Aurelia to help her escape the Capitol and her mother's wrath.

35: Day 6: Crossing Paths: Jem and Jest set out from the Cornucopia. Bastet struggles with losing Aveline for good this time, beginning to take it out on Tisiphone. Jest and Jem run across Chase and Fleur. Vince attempts to connect with Tisiphone. Wisdom and Chevre have a fatal encounter with Patrek and Mendi. Patrek kills Wisdom, and he and Mendi recover from the fight.

36: Day 7: Stumble and Misfire: Fleur and Chase survive an earthquake, after which Fleur spills the truth about her relocation to Six with Chase. Tomo and his alliance are confronted by the Careers, and he sort of holds off Tisiphone. Jem and Vince square off yet again, but Vince feints and kills Jude instead. Tisiphone, Bastet, and Vince knock out Chevre and take her back to the saloon. Aescelin plots his next move. When Wisdom's ghost appears behind Patrek, Mendi is forced to tell him what happened to Tiernan.

37: Day 8: Where You Lead: Valentina decides she has to go all-in on pretending to love the Spirit. Chevre is interrogated by Bastet. Bastet loses their temper and begins to torture Chevre. Vince and Tisiphone discuss the state of their alliance. Patrek spirals, deciding he has to kill Mendi, but she gets the better of him.

38: Day 9: Losing Faith: Chevre begs Tisiphone to put an end to the torture, and when brought by Bastet back to the Cornucopia, reveals Bastet's plan to Jem. Jest recounts everything that's happened before the Careers return and kill Chevre, at which point he stays behind so his allies can flee. After Jest dies, Tisiphone and Vince take stock of the Cornucopia while Bastet chases Jem and Tomo. Fleur and Chase are separated by a pony stampede. Valentina watches Aescelin butcher Fleur, and is horribly reminded of her beloved barbeque as the Sevens then flee. Chase finds a dying Fleur and holds them as they die.

39: Day 10: No Pure Souls: Tomo struggles with the realities of the Games and his morals. Mendi watches a ghost by the river as her fever rises. Bastet leaves her alliance on a sour note. A sponsorship to Valentina is what she needs to turn the tables on Aescelin, convincing him that she has been chosen by his false god, and she kills him.

40: Final 8 Interviews: Cameras and Conflict: The final eight tributes' families are interviewed on their behalf.

41: Day 11: Clean Hands: Vince and Tisiphone enjoy an oddly peaceful moment without Bastet. Valentina appreciates life without Aescelin. Mendi, lost in her memories, succumbs to her infected wound. Tomo refuses to fight back against Bastet. Jem witnesses Bastet kill Tomo and flees. Chase works to track down Valentina.

42: Day 12: Ashes to Ashes: Valentina's paranoia hikes. Vince temporarily leaves Tisiphone to go hunt down Jem. Bastet finds Tisiphone, but a flashback interrupts their attempt at dealing a final blow. Jem fights Vince, taking them down with him. Tisiphone dissociates. Chase and Valentina are smoked out of the tunnels.

43: Finale: Crucible: Valentina waits for Chase. Chase hides from Tisiphone while retracing her steps. Bastet chases after who she believes to be Jem, intending to tell Aveline's ghost everything, but finds Tisiphone instead, who this time shows no mercy. Valentina smashes a building to attract Chase's attention, which is successful. They fight, and Chase uses the flaming town to slowly roast Valentina to death. Then, Tisiphone approaches, spearing Chase through the stomach. Tisiphone is the final tribute remaining.

Post-Games

44: Reckoning and Rebuilding: Tisiphone begins a long recovery process. Due to extensive injuries, most of her right leg is amputated. It's revealed that the secret of her mother's death got out, and her family is in a new family member's custody. Her sisters have very different reactions to her return home. Tisiphone meets a stray dog.

45: Thanks to the work of Victors behind the scenes, Tisiphone isn't the only tribute left alive. Esper argues with Sienna. Mallory comforts a survivor. Mallory and Dimitri admit they're crazy, but hey, at least it worked…
