"Thanks for signing my permission slip, Tom." Sonic heard Shadow saying. He knew the black-brown furred hedgehog male had asked Maddie to sign it only she'd said she'd have to talk to Tom about this wrestling team idea knowing Maria also might have something to say about this too. "You're welcome buddy as it might help you out with your energy." Tom told him.
It was later that afternoon, and Sonic was home from baseball practice surprised that Shadow had gotten Tom to sign his permission slip to join the wrestling team at middle-school but knew Maddie might be not happy about this only he sensed Maria's aura making Shadow surprised guessing she wanted to hear about his first day of school. "Later Maria I promise." Shadow whispered unaware Tom noticed looking confused.
"Never mind, Tom." Shadow said going upstairs making Sonic facepalm.
"What was that about, who was he talking to." Tom asked confused. "He was talking to Maria as he hangs out with her in dreams." Sonic confided making Tom get it romising to keep it a secret. Sonic hoped that Shadow wouldn't be mad he'd told Tom about him and Maria hanging out in his dreams hearing dinner was ready.
"So, you're joining the wrestling team, that's intresting. Did Tom and Maddie say yes." Shadow heard Maria say.
"Yes the coach wanted me to join, but Tom signed my slip. All the adventures I go on helps me with this plus in art class we're doing murals and I kinda am doing mine… about us." Shadow said to her. It was later and he and Maria were looking at the stars but Shadow was telling her about school. He knew she never got the chance to go but knew he could tell her everything about school.
"That's very sweet Shads. I know everybody will love it. Just be careful with the wrestling stuff as I don't want you to turn into a jerk." Maria said to him. "I won't do that Maria." Shadow told her feeling her kiss his cheek as they were hanging out and having fun.
"Maybe later tonight, you can come to school." Shadow said smirking.
"Shadow, wake up you're gonna be late. You don't want a late slip." Sonic said knocking on Shadow's door making Shadow get up realising he'd slept in getting ready and grabbed his backpack joining Maddie, Tails and Sonic after grabbing a pop tart for the ride since he'd no time for actual breakfast making Sonic guess he'd been having too much fun with Maria in the dream workd he'd slept in. "Yeah Pkus we fought Robotnik which was awesome." Shadow whispered to him.
"Ummmm how did that work buddy. Even though in the dream world, anything goes." Sonic said.
"She turned herself into one of us with powers. It was so much fun." Shadow replied grinning.
At school, he was handin* in homework noticing Sonic's was messy guessing that was how his grades sometimes went down, but maybe he could help which he'd ask later yawning as he was going about his day hoping Maria was okay adding them kicking butt to his mural smirking.
