i dont mind a little bit of a "this is whats going on" but not an entire chapters worth some of that would have been better having actual dialog to it to expand kushina's experiences.

Oh, I understand. Thank you for the helpful criticism. I was trying to get the academy days done and over with so we could get to the juicy story. A lot of these beginning chapters are going to be world-building and setting the stage for what's to come.

Chapter 6: A New Graduate

The board of admiralty along with fleet admiral Flourish we're gathered in a meeting room to discuss only one topic. And that was The two recently graduated Kushina Uzumaki and Kimiko. Normally they wouldn't have convened such a meeting for only two people but these were not any normal graduates and they all knew that. The two had been the talk of the Federation and many Starfleet scientists were all too eager to learn from them. Normally this wasn't a problem, but what happened yesterday had the admiralty on edge. After all, somebody attempting to kidnap Kushina and her 3-year-old on Earth of all places was something that wasn't going to fly. But even though that was the main topic, they were also here to discuss what posting would fit them best. The two had a lot of skills and since Kimiko could not be separated from Kushina, finding the right spot for them was hard, to say the least. As the admiralty filed into the meeting room and sat down in their chairs Fleet Admiral Flourish spoke up.

"First I would like to say thank you to all of you for coming on such short notice. As you all know normally I wouldn't have convened such a meeting. But with the recent attempt on one of our most high-profile Starfleet Graduates and on Earth of all places is something that Starfleet Command cannot ignore. As you all know I'm also going to take this opportunity to discuss what to do with them now that they have fully graduated from Starfleet Academy. But before we get to that topic I would like to know how somebody could attempt such a thing. Especially when we have security posted on her in the first place." Flourish said with a serious face as he looked towards Admiral Blackwell for an answer. She was put in charge of their security detail and he was quite surprised that something like this had gone unnoticed on her watch. Normally the woman was right on top of such things and for somebody like her to slip up was practically Unheard of.

"First I would like to state that they didn't slip past our notice. In fact the guards I had stationed there attempted to stall them Until reinforcements could arrive, but they died in the attempt. The only reason reinforcements had not arrived was somehow These people who are yet not identified had blocked all attempts to transport reinforcements to their location within a five-mile radius. If it wasn't for the fact that Kushina's skills in combating these... Infiltrators they would have got away. All infiltrators were subdued with non-lethal methods and were knocked out and tied up. But when we woke them up to question them they activated some type of hidden implant that didn't just destroy their brain but scrambled their DNA. And since their faces were not on record I believe figuring out who these people were is now impossible. But rest assured regardless of that I am still continuing my investigation." Admiral Blackwell said with a tone that was as solid as Steel And with Fury in her eyes. Whoever these bastards were they killed two of her best men and whoever they were working for were going to pay for it dearly.

"Do we know what species they are at least? Perhaps that would Narrow it down." Flourish ask quite vexed at the situation.

"All infiltrators were human but even that's been thrown into question since the autopsy on the Corpses found out that most of their internal organs and bone structures had been altered or replaced. But we do know for sure that they were using Federation Technology." Blackwell said with a frown.

"Do you think this is the work of section 31?" Admiral T'Lara asked with a frown on her face. The Star Fleet admiralty was not blind to the Rogue organization. But the fact that they were so hard to track let alone find anything about made it very difficult to root them out. And because of that fact, the admiralty had kept their discussions on the matter top secret. In fact, the only ones that knew that they were planning on taking them out Were a handful of people and the majority of them were the very people sitting in this room.

"It's highly likely, although I would have expected a more stealthy approach from that organization. The fact that the Federation Tech that they used is not only a little bit more advanced than what we have. As well as their skill of infiltrating the heart of the Federation so easily. Along with the fact that they took extreme measures to make the bodies practically unidentifiable leans a lot of credence to this being section 31's actions." Blackwell said with anger lacing her tone. She hated that organization with a passion, the fact that an organization like that exists and is constantly distorting the ideals of the Federation made her absolutely Furious. She dedicated her whole life to the ideals of the Federation and for an organization like that to exist within the Federation disgusted her to her core.

"This is not good, if section 31 is going after the two and if they get their hands on them somehow, imagine what damage that they could do." Admiral Hokkaido said worriedly. Admiral Hokkaido was a human man of Japanese descent. He was tall and muscular and sported a bald head and grayish beard.

"Then may I make a suggestion?" Admiral T'Lara asked causing everybody to look at her and after Flourish nodded his head she spoke up again.

"Why don't we assign the two to USS Trieste under Captain Tarkan? He is not only trusted by us, but He already has one of our high profile officers under his care and he is also aware of section 31. Plus he was looking for an extra security officer and a nurse." Admiral T'Lara said causing the majority of the group to nod their heads in agreement.

Kushina was a warrior through and through and her skills would make her a perfect security officer. And Kimiko had graduated from Starfleet Medical and had hopes of going into the medical field. Although their skills in both positions would be quite underused if they did put them in those posts. But they guess they would have to start from somewhere.

"Since we're all in agreement on this I would like to state that we will be promoting them to lieutenant Junior grade since the two already have highly developed skills and Leadership qualities. But if that's everything this meeting is dismissed." Flourish said and with that, everybody left.

One Week Later USS Trieste

Kushina and Kimiko are being transported onto the USS Trieste transporter pad. Waiting for them was Lieutenant Data, the first and currently only Android known to exist and the current science officer on the Trieste. Also waiting for them was the chief of security, Lieutenant Osilin Zh'chekrok, an Andorian female with long white hair tied up into a ponytail. She had an air of not just authority but discipline, and the second that Kushina saw her superior officer, she Winced. God, it was like her Genin days all over again. Why did she have to get the all-too-serious superior officer? Yeah, she could understand and appreciate that she took her job so seriously but she never enjoyed dealing with someone who was just a stick in the mud. She just hopes she doesn't also have a stick up her ass too.

Kimiko feeling her host's reaction at seeing her now Superior officer could not help but let out a small chuckle before approaching Data. Which, she found him quite interesting, she had never sensed such a being before. She could tell that he was definitely not organic and instead of chakra running through his body, it was the energy of another kind similar to what powers many of the federation starships and equipment. But what gathered her interest a lot more was the fact that even though she could sense intelligence and a quite good analytical mind there was no emotions. Even though she could tell that there was space for him to experience them, which confused her quite a bit. So getting closer to Data (which the two officers took notice of) she spoke up.

"Wow, you are an interesting fellow, aren't you? You are not organic yet I can sense that you are sentient. You cannot experience any emotions yet I sense that you have the capacity to do so. How strange. Tell me boy what are you exactly?" Kimiko asked curious and Intrigue evident in her voice.

She then started to Circle Data like a shark as she examined him from every angle. But not just with her eyes but with all of her senses. She could hear the mechanisms that powered his body Twist and move as he tries to keep an eye on her. She could feel the energy that powers him Flow through him. She could sense his mind analyzing hundreds of different possibilities that her question had asked And to a insanely fast speed.

"I'm Lieutenant Data and to answer your question I am an Android. But what do you mean that you can sense me? I have encountered many telepaths And empaths, but none of them could sense me." Data asked as he tried to keep an eye on the strange woman that is circling him.

"Ah, an Android, if I remember correctly that word means a robot with a human appearance. Reminds me of the Uzumaki Eternal sentries. They were suits of armor brought to life through Fūinjutsu. They had their own consciousness and were physically strong but were unable to use chakra. But as for your question, the reason why I can sense you unlike other telepaths is because I'm not limited by biology. Most organic telepaths and empaths from what I was able to learn have evolved to only read organic species' minds. They're also sensitive to entities with a very strong presence. But just like you, I am not organic I am simply energy given form. Even though my form is quite detailed. With me having my own organs, a bloodstream, a nervous system, and among other things, I am still nothing But Energy given form. However, it does help that I also have a lot of experience sensing things that are out of place or odd." Kimiko said shocking the security officer And causing Data's mind to go even more into overdrive.

"Are you telling me that you're not just energy-given form which is a life form that we have not encountered yet? But you have met something similar to Data here." Osilin was shocked and a little alarmed.

What the fuck did the captain let on our ship. Yeah, she graduated from Starfleet Medical, but if she Went Rogue for some reason how would she supposed to stop literal energy? Plus apparently, she knows a group of sentient suits of armor. Kimiko sensing her worries looked at her before giving her a comforting smile. As well as releasing her Calming aura which seemed to settle her nerves. Once her nerves were settled Kimiko spoke up.

"Don't worry I have no intention of harming anyone on this ship. Well unless they have intentions of harming me or my... Host and her kit." Kimiko said pretty sure the term Jinchūriki would not translate well.

"Host? What do you mean by host? And why go through such difficulties to take an organic form?" Data asked curious, he was curious about this whole conversation and interaction. It had got his interest heavily. But before she could answer that question The door to the transporter room slid open.

"Sorry that I'm late. There was some idiot who got injured from a Plasma conduit. " A human man wearing a doctor's coat said as he entered the transporter room. The man was a pale-skinned, blonde-haired man with his hair tied up into a ponytail. His emerald green eyes had Light bags underneath them that gave the impression that he hadn't been sleeping well recently. Seeing Kimiko he did a quick once-over before speaking up again.

"Ah, so you're my new nurse. Well, quit dilly-dallying. I need you in the med Bay pronto." The blonde-haired man said before leaving which Kimiko (after saying a quick goodbye) was quick to follow behind.

"Well, I guess we should wrap this up as well, I expect you to report to me at 20:00 hours you are dismissed." Osilin said before leaving the transporter room herself. And after saying a quick goodbye to Data as well as a promise to meet up later Kushina also left with little Naruto in her hands to their quarters.

Reaching their quarters, she had noticed that it was quite compact. There were only two beds, (that were bunk beds), a bathroom and a single replicator as well as a small dining room. Kushina did not mind she had lived in similar places before she married Minato during her time in Anbu. In fact compared to that it was a luxury, although she did frown that she was going to raise Naruto in such a cramped room. Oh well, she would make do with what she had like she always has.

Using the storage seal on her arm she made the scroll that she used to store her belongings appear. After unsealing her belongings from the scroll and positioning them in their proper place she then created a barrier around the room to thoroughly protect her belongings and her son. Seeing the time she lets out a long sigh before making a shadow clone to stay with Naruto before heading to report to duty.
