A/N: Welcome to the second chapter of HoaH Inspired Stories. As a reminder, these are not published in chronological order, and any KP episodes will probably not follow their canonical order relative to the HoaH timeline. Consider this as "butterfly effect" for her timeline getting merged into Danny's. Where these chapters fit will be stated below. Another block below will indicate any required retconning of an episode beyond the crossover changes. Besides that, it will track as close as possible to the source episode when reasonable. It was a bit of a challenge to come up with a timeline where Kim could get to China, deal with Monkey Fist at night, and then get back to school on time, but I did, barely. Basically, GJ had to use something with the specs of the Blackbird (see below). Here is also info on the pertinent time zones.

This chapter is a result of me wanting to see how each underling (Shego and Skulker) reacted to the opposite boss (Drakken and Plasmius), and I picked the source episode to get to that answer. Thanks go to PDNhite, Penumbral_Entertainment, and DasChillyOne for helping me come up with the ideas for this one. This chapter will also be much funnier than the previous one (silly dance incoming). As always, I own nothing, if it looks like a reference, it is, and original crossover credit goes to DasChillyOne. As for what chapter comes next, it will likely be 1:20 Ron the Man.
"Trading Places, err Henchmen" OR "If You Wanna' Be The Top Banana"
Time: After chap 21-Maternal Instincts but before Ron depart on vacation in chap 23-Million Dollar Ghost Gladiator
Source Episode: KP S2:E21-The Full Monkey
Retconning: required to stretch the timeline from day of pictures w/ cheer-off same day to afternoon before picture day and cheer-off day after pictures. Extreme fatigue was a function of the initial stages of the transformation and not just jet lag
Tomorrow was a day Kim was dreading. Even after all the bad guys she faced up to that point, this one simple mundane event filled her with more anxiety than all the rest. It was school picture day. Kim was working on what to wear, but she was not alone. Star and Valerie were helping her figure out what to wear. At least, they were trying to. Kim's closet was full of mostly functional wear, but not a lot of style.
It got worse when Ann came in with a box from Kim's Nana and said, "Kimmie, great news. Nana made you a special dress for picture day."
"Umm, oh, uh, great," Kim said with obvious fake enthusiasm. The green dress inside, while obviously made with love, could only really be described by any sane teen as "hideous." It may have been in style at some point, but the problem was that time was not the current century. The other girls in the room were in complete agreement.
As she held it up, Ann retorted, "Kimmie, the Nana dress is cute."
"Mom, let's review," Kim said as she pulled out an album of old school photos. Each one had something wrong with them. One was on day one of braces, and another had a problem with some unfortunate nasal mucus. As the problems with each were pointed out, snickers came from everyone. As she slammed the album closed, Kim declared, "See, I have had a bad run of school pictures. This is a new school, and this will be the year that changes." Doot-doot-do-do. "Hey Wade. What's the sitch?" Kim asked.
The tech nerd on the other end replied, "Monkey Fist has escaped, and he has been spotted in China."
Kim replied exasperated, "His timing is terrible. I'll call Ron and let him know we have a mission. Can you arrange for travel, and see what he might be after?"
"Sure thing, Kim. Give me 30 minutes," he replied as he ended the call. She immediately called Ron who seemed to be hanging out with Sam at her place.
"Hey, K.P. What's up?" he asked.
She answered, "We got a mission to China. Monkey Fist has escaped."
Ron went pale. "No! No! No! Not monkeys again! Why does it always have to be monkeys! I can't stand monkeys!" Sam watched him with a raised eyebrow.
"Done?" Kim asked.
Ron replied while he flailed about, "Almost. Curse you monkeys! Ahhhhhhh!" Ron regained his composure and continued, "Ok, I'm done. When do we leave, and where do I meet you?"
"I'll pick you up at Sam's. I'll get your go-bag, and see you in about 30 minutes."
"See you then Kim," Ron said as he ended the call.
He then turned to Sam and said, "Sorry Sam. Duty calls."
Sam wasn't bothered and replied, "I get it. I'm used to it with Danny. Be safe, good hunting, and see you when you get back." It still amazed her that he could shift gears so quickly, and throw himself into danger without a second thought despite being terrified. Almost reminded her of another of her friends. Ron got up to get his things together and waited for Kim on Sam's front steps.
"Looks like my picture day problem will have to wait," Kim said as she started getting her gear together.
"What problem?" Ann asked as she held the dress up.
"Mooooom!" Kim whined.
"It would mean so much to Nana," Ann replied, giving her the same pout lip that Kim used on her to get her way from time to time.
Kim sighed, "I'll think about it," as she put the dress back in the box and continued to prepare for the mission. She also had to call Danny to let him know what was going on.
"You sure you'll be ok on your own? I'm sure I can convince my parents to let me go since you plan to be back by school tomorrow," Danny said.
"I'll be fine, Danny. It's just Monkey Fist," Kim said.
"Ok, be safe, Babe. See you at school tomorrow. I love you," Danny said.
"Love you too," she replied before ending the call.
Wade had done a good job setting up the trip on short notice. GJ had lent them a very fast jet that could get them to China and back before school the next day. It looked like a larger version of a Cold War spy plane but was even faster. Furthermore an old friend would meet them there and guide them to Monkey Fist's likely target. They arrived in China quickly but still had several hours to wait until darkness so they got some rest in the meantime. They hoped Monkey Fist didn't take his sweet time or they would be late for school. After sunset, the duo set out for their likely target.
"Thanks for the ride, Professor Acari," Kim said.
"Oh, it's not trouble after your help with my cyber-genetic tick," the old professor replied.
Ron added, "Except for the part where it almost blew your nose, you know, off your face. Good thing Phantom was there otherwise it would have. Mmm, these are good by the way." Ron was munching on a bag of unknown snacks the Professor had given him in the back of the jeep.
Professor Acari said, "I'm glad you like them, and I only study real insects now."
"Is that why you're here in China?" Kim asked.
"Indeed. I am investigating the nutritional value of common native species. Ant soup, stir-fried beetles, roasted grubs, all quite plentiful and rich in protein."
"Yum," Kim said in faux excitement.
"Oh, no thanks. I'll stick with these tasty treats. They're great. Spicy…and crunchy and…" Ron paused as he got a closer look at what Rufus was munching on and shouted, "Oh great googly moogly! What is in my mouth?!"
The Professor responded, "Toasted chili peppers," Ron sighed before the Professor continued, "...And mountain grasshoppers. Delicious, aren't they?" Ron nearly vomited.
"Ron. Maybe you should look before you eat," Kim chided.
"Crunchy and spicy has never betrayed me like this before," Ron said defeatedly. The rest of the trip passed in silence until they reached their destination.
"Here we are, Kim. Forbidden City Museum. It has actually been closed all week for renovation so please watch your step," Professor Acari said.
"Thanks Professor. Hopefully, we shouldn't be long," Kim said as she and Ron hopped out.
Wade had done a search for any monkey related items in China that might get Monkey Fist's attention and the one that stood out was The Amulet of the Monkey King on display at the museum. Their suspicions were confirmed when they found a trail of banana peels leading from the surrounding forest. Kim and Ron quietly made their way into the museum and found Monkey Fist gloating about his victory.
"At long last, The Amulet of the Monkey King!" he declared.
"Ahem. Just one little problem," Kim quipped. "It doesn't belong to you."
"Kim Possible! But how? The stealth of the Ninja Monkeys is legend. How did you find us?" Monkey Fist demanded.
Kim smiled, "Too many 'naners along the way," as she waved a fresh banana peel.
Ron continued, "Yeah. A guy could slip on one of those bad boys."
Monkey Fist grimaced and turned to one of his minions, "Chippy! What have I told you about on-the-job snacking?" The offending monkey held his head in shame. Monkey Fist continued, "No matter. In a moment, I will become the Monkey King of the modern era. Until then, Monkey Ninjas, attack!"
The simian shinobi began chasing Ron while Kim charged Monkey Fist. Ron's speed kept him ahead of the monkeys but only just barely. He finally made his way to a spear display and began to swing it around wildly. "Who's the higher primate now?" he shouted with a grin.
The spear was effective at keeping the monkeys at bay but not much else as the fight settled into a stalemate. Meanwhile, Kim and Monkey Fist were trading blows. They were evenly matched, each trying to force their opponent to make a mistake. Eventually, Kim was able to kick the amulet out of Monkey Fist's hand. Given how much he wanted it, Kim knew this was a good way to distract him. The amulet sailed through the air, and Monkey Fist's gaze followed it. Soon enough, the rest of him did too as he chased it down to catch it before it landed. This was the opportunity Kim was looking for. As his back was turned and distracted by his prize, she pulled her grappling hook gun to swing in and hit him from behind.
Unfortunately, Ron's butterfingers picked that moment to strike. He lost grip on the spear he was wielding, and it sailed through the air, clipping the grapple line Kim was swinging from. She crashed into Monkey Fist uncontrollably and rolled another several feet. When Monkey Fist recovered from the shock, he noticed he was no longer holding the amulet. To his horror, he saw it several feet away…around Kim's neck.
"The amulet!" he shrieked. Kim noticed where he was looking and felt the weight around her neck.
She smiled and said tauntingly, "Oh, was this what you're after?" Half a second later, yellow/green light began emitting from the amulet. As it increased in intensity and enveloped Kim, she levitated into the air. Monkey screeches were heard as the light flashed and subsided.
Monkey Fist shouted furiously, "No! I was to be the Monkey King!" His tone shifted to menacing, "And so I shall be." Then he and his monkey minions retreated into the darkness.
Ron rushed over to Kim and asked, "K.P., you ok?"
As Kim was helped to her feet, she began scratching her neck and pulled her shirt neck down to get at the itch. "Yeah," she said.
Ron noticed something and said, "Umm, hey K.P." as he pointed to her neck.
She pulled out her compact and looked at her neck in the mirror. "Oh, man!" she declared. The amulet was gone and a green monkey tattoo was on her neck.
Ron shook his head and said, "That is sick and wrong…On the plus side though we kept Monkey Fist from stealing it."
Kim looked at her best friend through half lidded eyes and sighed. "Let's just go home. I'm tired, and we can deal with this later." After a short jeep ride back to the jet, they were on their way home. Kim sent off a short two sentence report to GJ before trying to get some shut eye. In it, she wrote that the mission was at best a wash. Monkey Fist was thwarted, but got away. If her mind wasn't in such a fog from the extreme fatigue assaulting her, she would have noted in her report that the amulet disappeared while she was wearing it, and a monkey tattoo now adorned her neck. She didn't realize the fatigue and the tattoo were related in a very bad way.
Dr. Drakken couldn't sleep. It had been too long since he had pursued his nemesis Kim Possible. In reality, it hadn't really been that long, but to Drakken, it was an eternity. To take his mind off it, he was perusing LinkedEvil. As he was doom scrolling, he stopped when an interesting post caught his eye. This was a brand new one from Monkey Fist. "Oh my," he said. "This is quite an opportunity." The gears in his head began turning furiously as he grinned evilly.
After she got home, Kim had just enough time to grab a quick shower, text Danny that she was home safe, and grab some breakfast before school. Ron could tell she was still exhausted so he came by to make sure she made it to school ok. Ann also gave Ron the box containing the dress Nana had made so she wouldn't forget it, because she almost did either by accident of intention.
Everything about this mission was bad timing as the regional cheer-off competition was the next evening and the squad were polishing their routine. During morning practice at school, Kim was off her game and messed up several routines. Nothing was new as these were routines she knew well, but her body just wasn't cooperating.
Paulina's irritation finally peaked and she snapped at Kim. "In the way much? The routine doesn't work if you are not on point in the final pose."
Kim replied apologetically, "Sorry Paulina. I'm just a little tired…and itchy." Kim began to scratch her sides and neck almost like a monkey, not that anyone would notice how she was scratching.
Paulina shot back, "Yeah, well, a little tired isn't going to win the regional cheer-off. And as far as itchy, Ew."
Ron entered the gym and shouted, "Ladies, ladies, sorry I'm late, but the Raven has arrived."
Bonnie sneered, "Oh, great! The 'Bird-Brain' has arrived." Bonnie was not fond of Ron in general, but really didn't like him as the mascot especially after a game that went into triple overtime resulted in Ron being unable to take a restroom break and the inevitable result followed.
Paulina grimaced at his arrival, "Alright everyone, let's take a break."
Kim wasn't fond of Bonnie's nickname for Ron, but was too preoccupied with another matter to reply. As the group dispersed, Star joined them and Kim remarked, "This thing is fiercely irritating." She continued to scratch the green mark on her neck.
"Are you sure that's normal? When, and why, did you get a tattoo anyway?" Star asked, worried.
Kim replied, "It was on the mission I just came back from, and it wasn't by choice. The amulet Monkey Fist was after was on my neck and then it glowed and disappeared. This tattoo appeared in its place."
Star became even more worried, "Ok, now I know that's not normal. Don't you think maybe you should find a way to get rid of it? Like, now?"
"Wade is researching the artifact. When he finds something, he will let me know." Kim replied confidently, and then yawned. Star wasn't convinced, but trusted Kim's judgement on these sorts of things.
Ron said, "Well, you always wanted a tattoo."
Kim retorted, "I did not."
Ron replied, "Oh, right, that was me. And I wanted it right between my…"
"Ron!" Kim interrupted, "Too much info."
"Sorry," Ron said before continuing, "By the way, your mom sent this with me for you." Ron handed Kim the box containing the green dress.
"Ugh. Not the Nana dress," Kim groaned, and Star's face twisted in disgust.
Ron said, "You better get changed, pictures start soon."
"No thank you. This year, I want to look like a normal human being," Kim said.
Bonnie had been eavesdropping on the conversation since she caught a glimpse of the contents of the box. She also noticed a new blemish on Kim and decided to tease her for it. "Then you'll want to do something about that thing on your forehead," she said as she brought her compact up to Kim's face.
Kim shrieked when she saw an extremely large and long hair in between her eyebrows. It wasn't alone either. There were several smaller hairs that had begun growing near it.
Kim ran to her locker covering her forehead with Ron trailing behind still holding the box with the dress. On the plus side, her fatigue had abated with the dose of adrenaline…and the next stage of transformation.
"Star, back to work," said Paulina.
"Coming," Star replied. However, she pulled her phone for a quick text to Danny first. "Can't talk now, but you need to find Kim after class. Something is wrong after her mission and she needs help. Love you."
Kim was at her locker trying to remove the hairs without success. When one was plucked, three more grew in longer. Soon enough, her once thin separate eyebrows had become one single fuzzy caterpillar spanning her forehead. Kim sighed, "It's the picture day curse. This cannot be happening." She had not turned around yet so Ron had not seen its current condition.
"It can't be that bad, can it?" he asked. Kim just turned around and Ron had to bite his tongue. "The, um, uni-brow works on ya'."
"Right, I'm sure Danny loves the brow," Kim retorted. They had no idea they were being watched.
Drakken had been working all night between repairing a piece of equipment Shego had smashed during a previous scheme, sending a surveillance bug, and researching just the right "person" for this new job when Shego came in holding a cup of coffee. Was he working all night? I wonder what kind of harebrained scheme he's cooking up now, she thought. As she was taking a drink, the surveillance bug spotted its quarry and displayed it on the monitor. It was Kim at her locker with an unfortunate unibrow. Shego fantastically sprayed her coffee across Drakken as she began to laugh hysterically.
"Gah! Shego, what gives?!" shouted the now wet and very angry Drakken as he turned around to glare at her. She was still laughing too hard to answer, or stand, or even breathe and just pointed at the monitor with Kim's picture on it. Drakken grumbled and said, "Yes, yes. It's hilarious, but that is just the start. I have a plan to take advantage of this. Come."
As Shego began to breathe normally again, she asked between laughs, "What, you gonna pose as a stylist and give her a bad haircut too?"
"Hardly," he replied. "Read this," as he pointed to Monkey Fists's post. Shego had just started to contain her laughter, but when she fully understood the situation Kim was in, she began uncontrollably laughing once again. Drakken was glaring at his right-hand woman for five solid minutes waiting for her to finally stop laughing before he continued to tell her about the plan.
When she finally did, she was still straining to contain giggles every time her eyes went over to the computer monitor. Drakken sighed and said, "If you're finished, here is the plan to take advantage of this situation. Since she is turning into an animal, we are going to hunt her like an animal. Now, what do you need to hunt an animal?"
"A hunting license?" Shego said, half joking.
"What? No! We're villains. We don't get licenses. What we need is a hunter, and I have been researching just the one." Drakken replied.
"Liam McCraken?" Shego joked again.
Drakken cocked an eyebrow, unimpressed. "Also no. Kim is turning into a monkey not a platypus, and this isn't a cartoon. We're going to hire the ghost Skulker. He is supposedly the ghost zone's greatest hunter."
Shego didn't know whether to laugh at the foolishness or be frightened at the aspect of going back into the ghost zone after their last trip nearly ended in disaster.
"What?" was all she could get out.
"It's perfect. We get him to capture Kim Possible and bring her to us, and then we can rid ourselves of her permanently. Plus, Kim and her goody-goody crew will be so focused on Monkey Fist, they will never see him coming."
Shego blinked silently. This is absurd, she thought. "How do you even know about this Skulker guy?" she asked.
"I, um, googled it," Drakken replied. Seeing her shocked face begin twisting in anger, he quickly continued, "I properly cross referenced everything. We found the Fright Knight, didn't we?"
As he spoke, her face slowly changed from anger to nonplussed. "Too bad we can't get into the ghost zone," she said thinking she had hopefully just scuttled this foolishness.
"On the contrary," he said with a smile as he hit a button on the desk, and the familiar green vortex began swirling in its metal ring.
Oh wonderful, Shego thought sarcastically as her shoulders drooped.
Wade opened a call at Kim's locker station. "Kim, we need to talk," he said.
She replied, "Good 'cause we've gotten a real ugly sitch here, Wade."
"How ugly?" he asked. Kim repositioned herself in front of the camera so he could see her eyebrow problem. Wade nearly fell out of his chair when he saw it. "Uh-oh," he said.
"Uh-oh, what?" Kim asked suspiciously.
Wade expounded, "Well, I checked out that monkey amulet. Turns out that Monkey Fist was onto something. Legend holds that whoever wears the amulet becomes the Monkey King."
Ron interjected, "Love the king part. Not so hot on the monkey part."
"Actually, it's more monkey than king," Wade corrected.
"Great, I'm going to be a monkey," Kim lamented.
Ron asked, "Can't you stop it?"
Wade replied, "Well, I'm not really sure."
"That's not what I wanted to hear, " Kim said, concerned.
"Don't worry. I'll get to work and let you know as soon as I've got something," Wade said.
"If you haven't already, see if GJ has anything on this amulet. Also reach out to Tucker and the Fenton's. I know they are geared towards ghosts, but they might know other places to look for information." Kim suggested.
"Good idea. Let me get started," Wade said as he ended the call.
Class was about to be out, and Mr. Barkin had begun patrolling the halls. He eventually found the duo at Kim's locker. "Let's move it. Time for student photos." Barkin announced to Kim and Ron before turning his focus to just Ron. "Stoppable, none of your punk hand gestures this time."
Ron shakily replied, "What? It was just a thumbs up."
Barkin growled, "Sit on your hands, just in case." He then turned his attention to Kim and saw her new eyebrows…eyebrow. "Possible, I see you're holding up your picture day tradition despite being in a new school," Barkin remarked before continuing his patrol.
The bell sounded and students filled into the halls. Danny, Sam, and Tucker made their way to Kim's locker. They hadn't seen her since she got back from her mission. Danny and Tucker were aware something was wrong, but were still shocked. However, Sam had to stifle a laugh when they saw her as the transformation had progressed further. Of course it was horrifying, but also kinda funny. Now, her hands, feet, and teeth had been monkey-fied. Ron was doing his best to shield her from the throng of students, but it was proving difficult. With the extra help, it would be easier.
Tucker already knew about the transformation as Wade had already contacted him, but seeing it still weirded him out. Danny knew something was wrong, but had no idea what to expect. He was at a loss for words, as he stared at his girlfriend who was becoming a different species. "Ummm, maybe we should just get you somewhere safe for the time being?" he suggested.
Kim silently nodded. She was almost afraid of her own voice after the shock of seeing monkey hands caused her to screech like one too. The group made their way to the exit doors, and Kim slipped out first.
Before anyone could follow, Barkin appeared behind them and shouted, "Hold it right there you four. Why aren't you getting your photo taken?"
Danny was first to respond, "We were, sir. We are on our way now."
Barkin narrowed his gaze, "Oh? And is this the scenic route?" noting the picture taking station was in the opposite direction. Danny started to get nervous.
Ron chimed in, "Actually, Mr. B, this is the scenic route."
Barkin didn't seem convinced, but let it go. "Where'd Possible go?" he asked
Ron again replied, "Uh, hair and makeup?"
That one Barkin did seem to buy. "Couldn't hurt," he replied and walked away.
The group gave a collective sigh of relief and Danny said, "Nice one Ron. Kim, ready to go?" He heard silence. "Kim?" he asked again.
While they had been dealing with Barkin, a squad of monkey ninjas had descended on the preoccupied Kim and successfully captured her. They left her bag and the dress box as they absconded with Kim. Also, for some reason, one of the monkeys stayed behind and donned the dress. This monkey then came back inside much to the group's surpise.
Ron shouted, "Whaaaaaa! She's gone full monkey! Ok. Stay calm. My best friend is my worst nightmare!" While Ron was panicking, Danny was staring intently at the monkey as it walked around and climbed onto Ron.
Sam was first to notice, and teased Danny, "What's wrong? Not into furries?"
Danny replied seriously without taking his eyes off the monkey, "I don't think that's Kim."
Sam realized he wasn't in a joking mood and shifted gears to match his tone. "How so?" she asked.
Danny said, "First, I don't think she could have transformed from what she was to that," pointing at the monkey, "in under a minute. Second, even if she did, she shouldn't be that small. Third, she wasn't wearing that dress when she left the building. Fourth, I know this monkey from somewhere, but I just can't put my finger on it." As he was thinking, the monkey began making Ron hit himself. This was enough to jog Danny's memory. "Monkey Fist!" he shouted and pointed, "That's one of Monkey Fist's monkey ninjas!"
The monkey seemed to realize he had been discovered, and in a screech, darted out of the school. The gang gave chase, but this was a ninja, and he only needed a moment to disappear. As Danny burst out the door, he saw nothing except Kim's backpack, and the green dress the monkey had shed. "Damn!" he shouted. Unfortunately, this time there was no trail of banana peels to follow.
"Ron, can you call Wade? We're going to need his help finding Kim," Danny asked.
"Sure thing, dude," Ron said as he was collecting Kim's bag and the green dress.
Tucker couldn't restrain his curiosity anymore and asked, "Ok. I gotta ask. What's with the dress?"
Ron answered as he was retrieving the Kimmunicator, "Kim's Nana made it for her for picture day." Sam suddenly had a great deal of sympathy for Kim. Sam wasn't big into fashion, but even she knew how hideous that dress was. Turning into a monkey was bad enough, but that dress was just cruel and unusual punishment.
As Ron activated the Kimmunicator, Wade spoke first, "I'm glad you called Ron, I have more news."
Ron was temporarily derailed and replied, "That was fast."
Wade said, "Thank Tucker. He sent me a link that had info on a bunch of weird artifacts, including the amulet."
Tucker was somehow twirling his PDA on his finger like a basketball and smugly said, "Hunting ghosts required I expand my knowledge base into all manner of esoterica. You're welcome."
Danny brought the conversation back on track and said, "Monkey Fist kidnapped Kim and we have no idea where he is."
Wade realized he had another job to do, but he needed to finish the task at hand. He said, "I'll start looking, but you need to hear this first. This curse becomes permanent 24 hours after activation so we have until about 5 a.m. to fix her, which I can do through the Kimmunicator. I just need a fully human DNA sample. A strand of hair from her brush will do."
Danny said, "I'll find Sammy, Clover, and Alex. We'll probably need their help. Sam, Tucker, can you cover for us at school? Ron, we're going to look for Kim after I get her hairbrush from her locker." Everyone nodded and Danny looked around before changing into Phantom and going invisible. "I'll be right back, Ron." Danny flew off first to Kim's locker. He went intangible and reached through the door until he found her hair brush. When he pulled it out, it had several strands of Kim's beautiful hair entangled on it.
Next he went to Sammy. Fortunately class had not started yet and she was still with Alex and Clover in the hall. "Sammy, don't turn around," Danny whispered as he placed a hand on her shoulder while still invisible.
She initially smiled as she enjoyed him being so close, but realized he would never do something like this at school just to flirt. "What's wrong, Danny?" she asked.
He answered, "Kim has been cursed to become a monkey and captured by Monkey Fist."
It took her several seconds to process the absurd thing Danny just said. "Okayyyy. How can we help?" She asked.
"I will need your help looking for her and then rescuing her. Please meet Ron and me at the East exit as soon as you can," he replied.
"You got it, my love," she said.
"Looks like we are skipping class," Clover said.
Alex nodded in agreement and added, "We should probably call Jer just in case he can help us find her."
"Agreed," Sammy said as they started making their way to Ron.
Before Danny went back to Ron, he realized he had one more person he needed to tell. The cheerleading squad was still practicing on their routine so they were still in the gym. Thankfully, they were on break so he went over to Star the same way he did for Sammy. At first, she was comforted by his closeness, then worried when she learned what was happening to Kim, then calm and confident when she learned her friends were coming for her. They would rescue Kim, and she would make it back safe and sound…and human.
When Danny made it back to Ron, the spy trio was already there.
"Here Ron," he said as he gave him Kim's hair. "Any word since I've been gone?"
"Thanks, and afraid not," Ron said as he took the hair and placed it in the sample tray of the Kimmunicator "Hey Wade, will this work?"
Wade ensured the DNA sample was sufficient and said, "Yes. All I have to do now is a little rewiring here, and I will be ready to turn Kim back when we find her. As for Monkey Fist, it was dumb luck that he was even spotted in China in the first place. They may be monkeys, but they ARE ninjas. We'll just have to pray we get lucky again."
"Not digging the luck part," Ron said nervously.
"Neither am I," Danny said, "But we don't have a better option. I guess we'll have to do this the old fashioned way and split up. Ron, you'll come with me. Ladies, you'll stay together. Start looking at potential locations, and hope we get lucky." It wasn't a good plan, but it was the only one they had.
The two teams started searching every abandoned gym, dojo, warehouse, and everywhere else they could think of. At one warehouse, Danny and Ron did run into a familiar face though. "BEWARE! I am the Box Ghost and you…"
"NOT NOW!" Danny shouted as he sucked the Box Ghost into his thermos. There was still no sign of Monkey Fist. Danny was getting frustrated.
It didn't take Drakken and Shego long to find Skulker's lair. Shego was thankful as the ghost zone filled her with unease. They had no idea they needed something like Fenton Pods to filter out the ghost noise. They circled the island looking for a good place to land and also where Skulker might actually live. Eventually, they found a place with a straight path to what appeared to be a door. They landed and began making their way there. Drakken hadn't taken two steps when he tripped a booby trap and several darts were shot in his direction. Shego dodged, but Drakken simply froze and shrieked. After his lung capacity gave out, he realized he felt no pain. He quickly examined himself and found no wounds. He looked behind him and saw all the darts deeply embedded in a tree.
"Huh, so we can pass through not just walls, but booby traps too, but the floor is still solid," Shego observed. "I'm tired of trying to make sense of this place, but you're still going first Dr. D. You know, just in case."
Drakken initially wanted to argue, but decided not to as soon as he saw the look on Shego's face. As they got closer, more booby traps were sprung from snares, to whip traps, to dead falls. They walked through them all like they didn't exist. Soon enough, they were at the front door. "I guess I'll try knocking," Drakken said, only for his hand to pass through the door like the walls. "Eh. Let's just go in, Shego," he said as he walked through.
The two villains froze as they locked eyes with two other "people" who had been engaging in conversation. These two people were very strange. One had green flame hair and a goatee with a very cybernetic look. The other looked like a vampire with a cape.
After several seconds of staring at each other, the green haired cyborg grinned and said, "I've never had prey just walk through my front door like that. You two got a lot of guts. I respect that and will give you a five minute head start before I chase you down and see what they look like." He then raised his arm and a small blaster popped out menacingly.
Shego assumed a fighting stance while igniting her fists. Drakken's hand moved to his weapon. The vampire who had been observing them seemed to have a realization and said, "Skulker. I don't believe these two are ghosts, despite their pigment. In fact, I think they're villains." He looked at Drakken and Shego with a piercing gaze a short time longer and continued, "Drew Lipsky, AKA Dr. Drakken, I presume? And that would make you, Shego, correct?"
The two humans were greatly shaken. This ghost knew about them, and the way they looked at them made their skin crawl. They felt like prey being stared at by MUCH larger predators.
"How do you know about us?!" Drakken demanded.
The vampire responded with a smile, "I make it a point to know the allies and enemies of my primary foe. You two are nemeses of Kim Possible. Hmmm. It seems I've misplaced my manners. My name is Plasmius. I am many things, but at the moment, my primary occupation is adversary of the Phantom of Amity Park. To my right is Skulker, the ghost zone's greatest hunter and my associate in opposition to Phantom. Now, to what do we owe the displeasure of this interruption?" As Plasmius spoke, his tone smoothly changed from arrogant, to polite, to menacing as if his hand had slid to the hilt of a hidden blade.
Drakken cleared his throat and corrected his posture to his usual "commanding" presence. "Since introductions are out of the way, I'll get right to the point. Our nemesis Kim Possible has been cursed to be transformed into a monkey. As she is becoming an animal, we came here seeking to employ the services of the great hunter Skulker to capture and deliver her to us."
"Hmm, interesting," Plasmius remarked.
Skulker glared silently with his arms crossed waiting to hear the rest of the sales pitch.
"What do we get in return?" Plasmius asked slickly with an evil grin.
Drakken began to sweat. He had no idea what a ghost might want. It never crossed his mind that a ghost would have no use for typical payments like money until he was staring down two hostile ghosts. He ended up offering the only thing he could think of and tried flattery. "The thrill of the hunt," he replied. "Kim Possible, even in monkey form, is a formidable opponent. Surely a hunter of your prowess would enjoy such a challenge."
Skulker chuckled at the attempt, and Plasmius grinned and answered "Oh my. I hope you make a better villain than you do a businessman. Without proper research, flattery was really your only play so I am not offended that is all you offered. Fortunately for you, I AM a much better businessman, AND you have something I am interested in."
"What might that be?" Drakken asked nervously.
Plasmius looked at Shego and simply said, "Her."
She returned to a fighting stance and defiantly said, "Not for sale, Nosferatu." The way he spoke unnerved her to a degree she didn't think possible. It was as if a snake coiled itself around her heart and started to squeeze.
Plasmius held up his hand to calm her and said, "You misunderstand, my dear. It is not you per se, but your powers. I wish to study them, and if possible, recreate them. I promise the tests I wish to conduct are quite harmless. The most invasive procedure would be just a typical blood draw you would find at any hospital and some skin cells you won't miss. I may also briefly overshadow you to see how your powers work for myself, but you will know everything I plan to do before we begin the test. I can also promise a venue I think you will enjoy. The Hawaiian archipelago has numerous private islands, and I own one of them. It is a convenient location for an executive retreat and one of my company's labs. I can assure you plenty of opportunities to enjoy the island's ambiance."
A tropical island retreat did sound nice, but she was having a hard time trusting him.
Plasmius turned to his companion and continued, "Ms. Possible works closely with Phantom. If you capture her, he will surely come to you. It would be a perfect opportunity to test your newly upgraded equipment."
Skulker pondered for a moment and grinned. "I like it."
"I knew you would, my friend," Plasmius said before he turned to the humans. "So, do we have a deal?"
Drakken thought for a minute and asked, "How do we know you will keep your word?"
"I may be a villain, but I am also a businessman, and I always honor my business contracts," Plasmius said confidently.
After a short period, Drakken walked up to Plasmius and extended his hand. "Deal."
Plasmius smiled widely showing his sharp teeth and shook Drakken's hand. "Wonderful. Skulker will accompany you back to the human world, and I will have a helicopter collect you," as he gestured to Shego, "and take you to the airport where a private jet will take you to the island."
The trio made their way back to Drakken's speeder and returned to his lair. As the humans breathed a sigh of relief to be out of the ghost zone, Skulker sent a signal on his gauntlet to let Plasmius know where he was.
"You should start packing, Lab Rat," Skulker said.
"And you should get to work, Tin man," she retorted as she headed to her room.
"Quite right," Drakken added. "Let me tell you about your prey." He then proceeded to tell Skulker everything he knew about Kim Possible in excruciating and unnecessary detail. This included every plot, scheme, and plan ever tried including how they fell apart and how he felt when they did.
Patience is a quality among good hunters, and Skulker was no exception, however, this fool was seriously testing his and wasting valuable time. Only five minutes into Drakken's monologue and Skulker had enough. "Just give me a picture and her last known location. I'll do the rest," he growled.
Drakken pulled up both on the computer. Skulker's demand would not stop Drakken from his usual behavior, much to Skulker's chagrin. If Drakken wasn't careful, would be lucky to avoid becoming a throw rug in Skulker's lair when this was over regardless of any deal he made.
Danny and the others had been searching for a couple hours with no luck. Neither Wade, GJ, or Jerry were able to catch Monkey Fist's scent. Then Lady Luck smiled.
The spy team happened to pass a fruit stand, and Alex thought out loud, "I wonder if we could find any unusual banana shipments."
Sammy thought for a second before calling Jerry. "Hey Jer. Got a long shot question."
Jerry replied, "Go ahead, Samantha."
"Can you see if there have been any banana deliveries outside the norm recently?" she asked.
"That IS a longshot, standby…Huh, seems like it might be your lucky day. There was a recent delivery of only bananas to the Middleton hotel…Oh, you've got to be joking. It seems that Monkey Fist has checked in under his own name." The girls couldn't believe their luck…or the fact that Monkey Fist used his own name to check into a hotel.
"How could THAT have gotten missed?" Sammy asked incredulously.
Jerry responded, "We are not accustomed to our adversaries being so obvious. To paraphrase a famous detective, it was so overt, it was covert. You know sometimes the best place to hide is in plain sight. At least we have a lead. Oh, and rest assured we will be adjusting our methods after this"
"Thanks, Jer," Sammy said before hanging up. They called Danny to meet up outside the hotel.
After Kim was captured by the monkey ninjas, she was taken to the gym in the Middleton hotel. She was deposited on the butterfly machine only for Monkey Fist to appear on the bars above her head. "So, Kim Possible…tea?" he asked arrogantly.
Kim responded, "How about a steaming cup of 'what's going on'?"
"Oh, as if you don't know," Monkey Fist grumbled.
Kim shot back, "All I know is thanks to that amulet; I'm living a monkey nightmare"
Monkey Fist was incensed, "A nightmare?! It's my dream. You don't deserve the power of the amulet!"
Kim answered deadpan, "Yes, I'm an ungrateful monkey."
Monkey Fist gloated, "Don't worry. The amulet won't be your problem much longer. I'd like to say it won't hurt a bit, but that wouldn't be truthful." While his back was turned, Kim used the opportunity to try to escape since they hadn't bothered to restrain her. She almost made it to the exit before an unseen cage descended from the ceiling trapping her. Monkey Fist was amused and clapped. "Bravo. A valiant effort, indeed. You didn't think I'd actually allow you to leave? You are not the master of Tai-Ching-Pek-Whar as I am, but the Monkey Amulet has given you much."
Kim quipped, "Like a tail?"
Monkey Fist sneered at the perceived insult and continued, "And now, I plan to take what should have been mine…painfully."
Kim knew she was in trouble. She wouldn't stop trying to escape, but hoped Danny would find her soon.
The spies met with Danny and Ron outside the hotel. He couldn't believe his luck or the absurdity of Monkey Fist's "lair." He said, "Everyone, wait here. I'll do a quick look and come back if I find him." It wouldn't take long for him to invisibly fly through the hotel's likely spots if Monkey Fist was here. After a couple minutes, Danny was back. "He's here. He has Kim in the hotel gym with over a dozen monkey ninjas. I'll take everyone in. Once there, I'll handle Monkey Fist, Ron, take the Kimmunicator and get Kim back to normal…" Before he could continue, the telltale wisp of cold air escaped his lips. Danny gasped and began to look around in a frenzy. No, no, no, not now, he thought. Everyone else held their breath hoping the situation was not about to get worse. After a couple minutes, he still couldn't see any ghosts. He had other priorities to deal with at the moment and continued, "Ladies, deal with the monkey ninjas." Everyone agreed and grabbed on to Danny as he turned everyone intangible and flew directly to the hotel gym.
Kim's transformation had progressed to the point that she was completely covered in fur. She was still the same size she was before, but now she had monkey physiology, including a tail.
Monkey Fist had restrained her to the bench press machine in preparation for extracting the amulet, and in admonishment said, "You don't know how lucky you are. But your luck is about to change. I was destined to be the Monkey King. According to the ancient text, there is still one way for me to achieve complete and total monkeyosity."
Kim quipped, "Personally, I think you should set your goals a little higher on the evolutionary scale."
A voice from nowhere boomed, "Actually, I think there has been quite enough monkey business for one day, Tarzan-Kwon-Do. You should just surrender." Kim immediately recognized the voice and felt a wave of relief. The cavalry had arrived.
Danny cancelled his invisibility and the five heroes appeared. Each pursued their assigned targets. The spies started working on the monkeys. Their small stature and fast movements made them a little more difficult to deal with, but not excessively so. They were able to slowly work their way through them without much trouble.
Danny went straight after Monkey Fist. He had the greater strength and actual super powers, but Monkey Fist was the superior martial artist. Danny was able to use his ghost powers by going intangible or invisible, but not enough for Monkey Fist to not get any hits on him. Unfortunately for Danny, this fight was about to get worse. Just before he was about to slam Monkey Fist into the ground, cold air slipped from Danny's lips again. This distracted him just enough for Monkey Fist to reverse the throw and send Danny smashing into a wall with a satisfied grin. Danny recovered just fast enough to see Kim go intangible through the floor. "NO!" he shouted, but it was too late. Kim had been taken, and an enemy was still in front of him.
As to why Kim had not been turned back, Ron had tried to get to Kim, but there were still a few monkey ninjas guarding her. Ron tried to outrun them, but there wasn't a lot of running space in the hotel gym. Despite the odds, he was still able to nearly get into position until he…tripped on a banana peel. He was lying right in front of Kim after tripping when he saw her vanish before his eyes. If the situation had not been so dire, Danny might have laughed at the silliness of the situation.
Danny had no time left to hold back. He went invisible and remained so while he smashed Monkey Fist with strike after strike from directions he wasn't facing. Monkey Fist was an excellent fighter, but even he couldn't handle an opponent he couldn't see. Soon enough, he was down for the count. He shouted, "Sammy, get some reinforcements to arrest these guys! I'm going after Kim!" He didn't wait for an answer before he flew out of the hotel. Unfortunately, there was no trail to follow and no leads. Danny was furious. He lost Kim…again. He knew a ghost took her, but he didn't know which one.
He flew back into the hotel defeated. All the enemies had been beaten and gathered up, but the mission was still a failure. They had nothing better to do at the moment except wait for GJ to come and arrest Monkey Fist and his minions.
About 20 minutes later, Wade called on the Kimminicator. "Hey guys, I have a lead on Kim. Drakken posted this about five minutes ago." He changed views so they could see the video Drakken had uploaded.
"Greetings world. I, the great Dr. Drakken, would like to announce that I have finally captured the great hero Kim Possible." The camera zoomed out so that both Drakken and Kim were in the field of view. Kim was monkeyfied and in a cage, but still defiant. "Tonight I will finally rid the world of her do-goodery." As Drakken began to cackle maniacally, some presence off camera seemed to bring him back to task, and he continued his message. "...Unless the Phantom of Amity Park comes ALONE to coordinates I will post here at some point tonight. Once I do, you will have 30 minutes to get there or you will forfeit the match, and Kim's life. See you soon," he said with an evil grin as he waved goodbye and the video ended.
"Could this BE a more obvious trap?" Sammy said sarcastically.
"Not by much," Clover replied. Danny seemed lost in thought.
"Yo dude? You alright?" Ron asked.
"Not really," Danny answered coldly.
Sammy pulled Danny into a hug and said, "It'll be ok. We'll get her back."
"She's right dude. Drakken likes to gloat, a lot. He'll wait and enjoy the moment as long as he can. Hey Wade, I don't suppose you can track that video, can you?"
Wade shook his head, "Already tried. He is bouncing it through half a dozen VPNs and had all the metadata scrubbed. There wasn't much to go on in the background either, but I'll keep trying."
Danny seemed to have a realization, "I have an idea…and a plan. Wade, let GJ know what's going on. Everyone else, rally at Fenton Works. We'll have everyone come over after school. There's something I have to get first."
Evening came and everyone was waiting at Fenton Works for the coordinates to Kim. Danny had given everyone the plan and the special surprise he had in store for Drakken and his ghost accomplice. Valerie, Tucker and Sam would be on standby, Ron and the spies would be dropped close enough to jump into the fight at a moment's notice in case Danny was wrong, but not so close to be noticed, while Danny tripped the trap.
At 8:30pm, Wade called and said, "Video posted. Coordinates drop in…Amity Park Zoo. Specifically, near the gorilla enclosure."
"Seriously? I guess that confirms who's behind this," Danny replied. "I guess it's time to go say hi." Everyone was wearing a confident grin as they put the plan into action.
Danny landed in the zoo with five minutes to spare. Drakken was waiting on an elevated platform near Kim's cage and wearing a huge gloating smile. "Ah, Phantom. I'm glad you could make it. Did you like MY plan? I get to see Kim Possible in a cage before I end her, and you..."
"Can it, Scarface." Danny interrupted, "I know you aren't smart enough for this. Why don't you bring out the real brains behind this plan."
Drakken was furious at this, but before he could retort, a blast of ecto-energy hit Danny from behind, knocking him to the ground. "Quite right, whelp. This blue moron is not the brains behind the operation," a familiar voice said.
"Skulker! You were supposed to wait for my signal! And who are you calling a moron?! I don't appreciate lip from the hired help." Drakken shouted
The fury in his eyes was evident as Skulker finally lost his temper and his focus on his prey; two cardinal sins for a hunter. "YOU! I'm calling YOU a moron, you insufferable twit," Skulker snarled as he flew up to Drakken's face. His metal finger poked Drakken's chest with each emphasized word. "All you do is talk and talk and talk! Do you even KNOW the meaning of silence!? I am also NOT the hired help! I'm the guy who has forgotten more about hunting than you will EVER know! So STOP telling me how to do my job! Everything else you tried to get me to do was ABSOLUTE FOOLISHNESS doomed to fail! I have NO idea how you are even rated as a nemesis! You should barely be rated an annoyance! The only reason your pelt isn't on my wall RIGHT NOW is because the person I do work for found it useful to help you! Now I'm wondering if getting a chance to hunt the whelp is even WORTH having to deal with YOU!"
As Skulker had finally snapped from all of Drakken's nonsense, Danny was putting his plan into motion. He was expecting a much more difficult fight, but he wasn't about to look a gift horse in the mouth. He quietly snuck up to Kim's cage and passed her what he left the group earlier to get, her ghost gauntlets. They didn't fit quite as well as normal given her transformation, but they fit well enough. He suspected the cage had been rigged to prevent him from phasing through, but not for passing real world objects. That was only half the plan. The other half was going to make Skulker madder than he already was, and hand him his most humiliating defeat to date.
Drakken finally noticed Danny near Kim's cage, but it took Skulker an extra second to stop his rant to turn his attention back to his actual prey. By then, it was too late.
"Tucker, NOW!" Danny shouted. The Fenton Phone had been active this whole time and Tucker and Technus were just waiting for his signal.
They immediately activated the link to Skulker's body. The original PDA had long since been destroyed, but the software backdoor remained despite Plasmius' efforts. Between Wade, Tucker, and Technus, they had managed to kick that backdoor wide open and gained complete control of his suit. The great hunter was both confused and embarrassed as to why his body now did the Chicken Dance of all things. He also couldn't seem to figure out where that infernal music was coming from. Drakken was dumbstruck by the display. To be fair though, seeing a large cybernetic ghost suddenly start to pinch his fingers, flap arms, wriggle his butt, clap his hands, then doing it all over again would give anyone pause.
Danny used that time to break open Kim's cage using a device his dad put together just for the occasion. He dubbed it, "The Fenton Master Key." It was basically a shaped charge designed to destroy only the cage's lock using some of the more unstable items they had around the lab. After a small explosion, the cage door swung open. Drakken recovered and tried to pull his weapon, but Danny was ready with an ecto-beam which disarmed the villain. Now it was Kim's turn for some payback.
"You know Skulker, the last time you were here, you got ripped apart by a gorilla. Today, you get ripped apart by a human/monkey hybrid. I wonder what kind of primate you will get ripped apart by next time.," Danny said with a mischievous smile. Kim's smile was more menacing given her monkey features.
With ghost gauntlets buzzing, she lunged at Skulker with the scream of an angry monkey. He could do nothing as the furry cheerleader rapidly filled his vision while his arms flapped like a chicken. The destruction was just as thorough and brutal as when Sampson, now Delilah, did it. When the helmet landed at Danny's feet, he dug the actual Skulker out and dropped him into a thermos. Drakken's legs had given out after witnessing such brutality, and he did the only thing he knew. He called for help.
Shego had arrived on the island about an hour ago and there was still time to watch the sunset. Given Drakken's penchant for ruining the best of good times with irritating regularity, she took every opportunity to enjoy moments like these. Nothing was planned until the next day, so she was taking in the evening sun. The beach was beautiful, and the sound of the waves was relaxing. The tropical drink made this all the sweeter both figuratively and literally. As her cares were melting away, her phone rang for a video call. What does he want? I guess I should answer, she thought as she saw it was Drakken calling.
As soon as the call connected, Drakken's shouts blared through the phone speaker. "Shego! Help! Possible and Phantom smashed Skulker and…what are you wearing? Is that a swimsuit?! Where are you?!" She had reflexively held the phone away from her when Drakken began shouting. Unfortunately, this gave him a good view of what she was wearing and her surroundings.
Shego quickly recovered and rapidly said, "Sorry, can't talk, doctor's coming for next test, gotta go, good luck, bye," as she immediately hung up the call. To be safe, she turned off her phone. He'll survive. Probably, she thought and took another sip of her drink.
Plasmius appeared behind her. He had been monitoring Skulker so he already knew the situation and anticipated Drakken calling. "It appears your boss is in a tight spot after losing Skulker. You know, I'm actually impressed. In the span of less than 12 hours, he managed to aggravate Skulker so completely that he totally lost focus on his prey. No small achievement. Bravo." he chuckled.
Shego was a little shocked at his sudden appearance, but decided she didn't care. However, she was slightly unsettled by Plasmius' seemingly cavalier attitude to his own underlings' welfare. "He's up against Phantom and Possible. He'll live," she replied matter-of-factly. "He'll get arrested, break out of prison, and be back to his usual schemes in no time." She swirled her drink, but the hint of melancholy was still evident.
Plasmius noticed this and responded, "Before you ask, I am not in the market for a new henchman, but I will keep your resume handy in case that ever changes."
"Er, thanks, I think," Shego said. " By the way, what is the plan for here?"
Plasmius replied, "Tests will start tomorrow at 9 and will be no more than half a day at a time. This will go for 6-8 days until testing is complete. Once that is finished, you will have one more free day before we fly you back to your lair unless there is somewhere else you wish to go."
Shego smiled and remarked, "Not a bad deal." She took another sip and went back to relaxing as Plasmius disappeared.
Back at the zoo, Drakken realized he was unarmed, out of options, and no one was coming to his aid. Now he had an angry ghost boy and monkey cheerleader staring him down. The ludacris nature of this was lost on him as his mind only had enough room for his own well being. "Wait," he said meekly, "I surrender."
"Did you hear something, Kim?" Danny asked.
"Nope. I think I should stop Drakken from escaping though. Don't you?" Kim replied.
"Sounds prudent," Danny said, nodding his head.
More angry monkey screams were heard as Drakken was briefly tossed around before being finally tackled by Kim. Danny tied him up with some restraints and called Ron and the spies up. There was one more task that needed to be completed.
"Wade, you all set?" Ron asked.
"Zap away," he replied. Ron pointed the Kimminicator at Kim and a beam of light shot out of it. When it faded, all that was left was a very human Kim holding the amulet.
"Boo-yah!" Ron shouted.
Danny pulled Kim into a hug glad to have her back. After Drakken was taken into custody, everyone went back to Fenton Works to celebrate with post fight pizza and eventually send Skulker back to the ghost zone, but not immediately. After the trouble he caused, they decided to leave him in the thermos for a couple days.
"Bonnie was really looking forward to your absence at the cheer-off tomorrow," Star said with a smirk.
"Won't she be disappointed," Kim said with a chuckle.
"Plus you didn't get your school picture taken as a monkey. You might still be able to break the curse," Ron added excitedly. This made Kim smile.
After a little more post-victory banter, Kim realized she needed to get home. The last day had been exhausting and she needed some rest for tomorrow. Everyone else seemed to have the same idea.
Sammy spoke up first, "Danny, why don't you take Kim home. We'll find our own rides. After the day she had, she's earned it." Everyone seemed to be in agreement on that so Danny picked up Kim in a princess-carry, and flew her to her front door. Once he set her down, she gave him a quick hug and kiss.
"Thanks again, Danny, for everything."
"It was my pleasure," he replied as Kim disappeared into her house.
The Possibles were not pleased with their daughter being out so late, but seemed to calm down when she explained the mission. After a shower, she jumped in bed and fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow. The next day, Kim was well rested and energized like never before. She brought her A-game to the cheer-off, and that was enough to secure victory over the Lowerton Lemurs. Bonnie was less than thrilled that Kim, and not her, was the star of the show.
In the ghost zone, Skulker had finally made it back to his lair. It took him a little longer given his diminutive size. Once there, he got into a spare body he had waiting. He was still furious at the humiliating outcome of the battle and needed to have a word with his employer. He exited the portal in the Axiom lab on the Hawaiian Island, and made a beeline for Plasmius, who was in the middle of analyzing test results with great enthusiasm.
"PLASMIUS!" He shouted angrily, "You told me you fixed the hole in my suit's security! The whelp made me do this ridiculous dance while his mate ripped me apart!"
Plasmius was annoyed at the interruption, "I DID fix it," he responded tersely. "It seems that his friends were able to un-fix it. It appears that the backdoor is still part of the software in your suit. I'm going to have to rewrite the whole thing from the ground up to make sure I get rid of it this time. Until then, I suggest you avoid Danny, otherwise he will just do it again."
Skulker ground his teeth in frustration. He turned to return to the ghost zone, grumbling furiously the whole way. He needed to hunt something to take his mind off the whole affair.
Plasmius sighed, Back to more important matters, he thought. "Amy, have you analyzed the results of test 3-D?" he asked.
A giddy voice over the computer responded, "I have. Ohhhh, this is so exciting! I could make good use of these sequences. Hmmm, I bet if I swap these and move this over there…Oooooo, how delightful!"
Wonderful, now I just need to find more of that meteor. Analyzing the path it took, should put its origins…..here, he thought. The star chart on his screen placed a waypoint near a clump of asteroids. Plasmius grinned evilly at the potential of these tests.
