The Cullens entered the Black/Lupin home cautiously, looking at the tastefully decorated entryway and gaping at the moving photographs and paintings on the walls.

"They really are wizards!" Alice said with wonder, growing more and more bubbly as they followed Harry to the dining room.

"You all can take a seat wherever you like." Harry said as he sat at the head of the table, he waved his hand and summoned two bowls, two spoons, the stew, and the seven goblets of blood which floated gently to their intended recipients.

"Hey!" Teddy said as he followed the stew into the dining room, spoon in hand. He had obviously been eating right out of the pot. He looked at the Cullens sheepishly and explained, "Sorry, my dad's rabbit stew is the best and it's been so long since I've had it that, well," he shrugged and gave them a grin, before sitting by Harry and filling his bowl with a generous serving of stew.

"The blood is rabbit by the way. I bled them for you all so you wouldn't be left out of dinner." Harry explained warily as he filled his bowl with a more conservative amount. "It's not poisoned, if you need me to take a sip to prove it I will, though I'm not the biggest fan of drinking blood myself."

That seemed to shake the vampires out of their stupor and they all started talking all at once except Jasper who took his goblet and sniffed it deeply.

"The pictures are moving-"

"-come we never heard of wizards before"

"Why do you smell like-"

"You're home is so-"

Harrys dark laughter made them all shut up quite effectively. He smiled and said, "I thought you guys might be a danger to me and my boy here, but you're a pretty eccentric bunch aren't you?"

Esme smiled motherly at him, and inched the wine towards him, "This is for you dear, and we're just a normal family really. We don't want our identities exposed because then we would have to move right away, and we like to stay put for as long as we can. That's why the young ones go to school. It can get so tiring when we move around too quickly."

Harry summoned two wine glasses and poured a large glass for himself and a small one for Teddy. "Well how about a cheers then? To new connections, and the sharing of tales." He held out his glass in front of him and took a savoring sip to show he trusted them at least that much. The Cullens then drank deeply from their goblets, Jasper drank all of his in a few large gulps, while the rest drank with varying degrees of restraint.

"So," Carlisle began as he swirled his blood around gently, "We have a pact with the local shifters where we don't kill anyone, or go into their territory, and they don't bother us. They don't come into our territory, and we don't hurt them. I want to make sure that you and Teddy don't expose us or try to hurt us. We have no idea what wizards can do, but if you try to hurt us, we will kill you."

Harry smiled with murder in his gaze, "If you ever try you will be dead before you can blink. You may be older than me, but I could take all seven of you with my eyes closed if I needed to. I hope I won't. Teddy and I won't bother you or expose your identities, you don't bother us or out us to the locals. I want to stay here as long as possible too, and for us that's about five years. So, truce? If we ever run into each other elsewhere the truce continue despite the place or year. I don't care if you are vegetarian or not as long as you don't try to kill me or mine."

That made Carlisle blink in astonishment, "You don't care if we're vegetarian or not?"

"Well no. You're vampires, you need blood to survive and it's not your fault you're drawn to kill humans. They are your natural prey, and you are predators. That would be like asking a lion not to eat meat. Humans don't live that long anyway, I know some who only hunt criminals and I admit that satisfies me, if you went after children I would be mad and might kill you if I saw that happen, but I honestly don't plan on involving myself too deeply in your affairs. I'm hoping we can have this truce and leave each other alone. We came here for peace, not murder."

The vampires just stared in stunned shock while Teddy poured himself seconds and ate with wide eyed amusement. Edwards powers reached out to brush at Harrys mind again and Harry threw his hands up with a puff of annoyance.

"Merlin! That is so annoying! Hey you" Harry points his goblet in Edwards direction, "If you really can't control it do you mind if I put a block in your mind to stop it from reaching out while you're here? I can take it down when you leave if you want."

Edwards lips twitch slightly down, then his eyes widen slightly. "We haven't even introduced ourselves and you expect me to trust an unknown creature who I can't read into my mind? My Name is Edward, that's my father Carlisle, and my mother Esme, my brothers Jasper and Emmet, and my sisters Alice and Rosalie."

"Oh Merlin! We didn't introduce ourselves! Well I think you know my son Teddy Lupin, and I'm Hadrian Black." There's a startle at his name but Harry knows it can't be because they recognize him as Harry Potter. "And as for trusting an unknown "creature," you already have by coming into my house, and bloody hell, it's so annoying to feel your mental fingers constantly poking at and stroking my mental walls. How would you feel if I just went up to you and kept lightly touching you all over even when you asked me to stop?" Harry opened a crack in his mind and projected a thought for Edward to hear, "It won't hurt, and I promise to take it off when you leave, please let me do this."

Edward looked at him with cautious, curious golden eyes and nodded once. Harry took his wand out and concentrated on building a golden web over Edwards mind to stop the tendrils from reaching out. Edward takes a sharp breath and closes his eyes in wonder. It's the first time in almost one hundred and fifty years that he's had his mind to himself. He had forgotten how quiet it could be, well, still loud in the fact of the pounding heartbeats, breaths, and the wind, but no more minds. When he opens his eyes they shine with an intensity that makes Harry cough awkwardly and look away.

"Anyway, do we have a truce?" Harry says, unaware of exactly how profoundly he has affected Edwards life.

"Hadrian Black you said," Carlisle's nostrils faired, "and you have no relationship with Billy Black or the shifter tribes in La Push?"

Harry snarled at him, magic starting to swirl through the air with his ire. "I'm from bloody Brittan! I've already told you I've no relation to the wolves near here, nor did I know there were wolves or vampires here or else I would have chosen a different town to move to!"

"Dad," Teddy said, and the smell of ozone noticeably decreases, "It's okay, they are just scared and don't know any better. They don't know anything about Wizards, and we know all about vampires so it's hardly fair. Seems to me Mr. Carlile is just trying to make connections without having all the straws to do so. They don't know and their ignorance is hardly their fault. They were muggles before they were turned, and America is fucking huge, and the magical towns are hard to find if you don't know about them."

Harrys breathing slowed as he listened to his sons sound reasoning. He nodded to his son as he stood up with his goblet of wine and headed towards the living room, the entourage following his lead. Harry sat in a burgundy recliner near the fireplace and waved his hand at it and a roaring fire lit. The Cullens and Hales sit tensely on the comfortable couches and chairs scattered around the room.

Harry expels a large sigh and scrubs his face while staring into the fire. "I'm sorry," he says, "It's not your fault that I'm frustrated exactly. I just thought this would be a beautiful, peaceful little town, and it turns out it's a beautiful, stressful little town." Harry frowns briefly then looks up and meets the Cullens and Hales eyes in a slow sweep. "It's unfair not to teach you of the world that's yours too since the moment you were bitten, even if you didn't know it until now. I'll teach you about the magical world, and Teddy can too, as long as you don't try to harm us, or do anything that will make us have to leave before we're ready. Sound fair?"

"That's more than we thought we would get walking into this." Carlisle softly said, "That sounds more than fair. We won't harm you or yours, or do anything to make any of us have to leave prematurely. I would love to learn more of this magic of yours, and this world that you say we are part of."

"Yay!" Teddy says and his hair flashes bright purple before going back to it's normal electric blue, "I'm so happy we'll all get along! It's been ages since I've had friends I could be fully myself around!" he did a little happy dance and then his eyes opened wide. "Oh yeah! I made gifts for you guys!" He flicked his wand out and said "accio gifts" and seven necklaces come zooming down the stairs and Teddy steps out of the way before they smack him in the face.

"Sorry," Teddy says abashedly, "I put a little too much power into that spell cuz I was so excited. I made these for you, they have a rune carved on them to clear the air so if you wear them around your necks you won't have to smell all those sweaty teenage bodies. I swear some of our classmates have never heard of the word shower. I charm the air every time I go out, but I thought you guys wouldn't be able to so I made these!" Teddy grinned sweetly and handed them out one by one.

They were small silver rings with small runes meticulously carved around the inside, the rings had delicate silver chains going through them so they could be worn around the neck.

"This looks so tacky," Rosalie wrinkled her nose and Alice elbowed her in the ribs. "She means "Thank you", These are so cool! Thank you!" Alice says and bounces happily in her seat. "I have a feeling we will be great friends."

"I hope so, it's so dull around here I wanted to leave, but knowing you guys are here, and there's a pack of wolves nearby is exciting. I'll have to go see them soon too!" Teddy says with a grin.

"Not alone Teddy, I'll go with you this weekend okay? It's getting kind of late though, I'm sure Teddy still has homework" Harry shoots a disapproving look at Teddy because he knows he was making gifts instead of his homework, "and I've honestly had enough excitement for the day, so I'd like you all to leave now. I'm sure we'll get together again soon, but I don't want to think about it right now."

"Of course," says Carlisle, "You're welcome at our home anytime. I'll get the kids to give Teddy the address tomorrow at school. I look forward to getting to know you ."

"Call me Hadrian." Harry says. "Edward, do you want me to remove the barrier now?"

"No. I think I would like to keep it on for a little while if that's okay." Edward said thoughtfully. He gazed at Harry like he had given him a new life, before Harry stood to walk his entourage to the door. Emmet was commenting how he was glad to have his mind be a privet space for a little while and the rest of the crew agreed while they were herded out of the house.

Harry closed the door and rested his forehead on the cool wood. He needed a moment to collect himself before he went back into the living room where Teddy sat in front of the fire with a smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

"So you like it here now Ted?" Harry asks.

"Absolutely," Teddy grins, "It's so interesting! We can't move now! We're going to stay right dad?" He gives his dad those big pleading eyes.

Harry sighs and says "We'll stay."
