Pt 3 here we FINALLY GO! I apologize for chapter 2 near the end I just wanted to be done with it so I could get to this one since I've had ideas buzzing around in my brain.
Regardless, I hope you enjoy! And I am SO SO SO SORRY for the long wait! My life went absolutely bonkers the past few months and I had no time to even think about this story, my apologies!
I highly recommend listening to an instrumental coffee shop playlist while reading this chapter or Salvalai!

Tis a cool and crips autumn day in Vale, the birds have all but migrated, leaves are falling causing warm colored piles of leaves to accumulate, pumpkin patches, corn mazes, and seemingly more couples, even some that you would have never assumed would be together.
Walking in one by one the team was immediately hit with the wonderful aromas of coffee and baked goods, also a cute bell from the door! Straight ahead of the team as they piled into the small front room of the cafe was the counter, made of dark oak, the countertop being black marble accented by white streaks. Sitting on top was a white digital cash register along side a few orchids and off to the right of the team is a glass case housing pastries such as danishes, muffins, croissants and some breakfast sandwiches, on the other side of the counter the back wall on closer inspection is a black chalk board.. but also a good giveaway would be that the menu is written down on the wall, sectioned out by drink type from left to right then food items on the far right end. The only thing that interrupted the wall was a Catalina blue curtain split down the middle leading to the back room where a female jaguar Faunus enters from while drying off what looks to be a shot glass for espresso as she smiles to the team.
Looking at her appearance the Faunus looks to stand around 5ft even with tan skin, her layered bob starting out as a light brown with highlights of blonde peaking through, setting on top of her head were two tan spotted ears adorned with golden studs and hoops, her eyes a piercing green that looks almost like glass accentuated by her natural black eyeliner contrasting the ethereal color of her angled eyes, just below across her eyes on her tanned cheeks a line of freckles went starting under one eye, running over the bridge of her nose, ending perfectly symmetrical to the other side of her face as she smiled, showing off her accentuated k9s.
"Greetings and welcome to the Triangulo Cafe, I'm Dani, how may I help you today?" Setting down the shot glass on the counter next to her, Dani tapped on the screen of the digital screen making it light up before looking back up at the four teenagers in front of her, making all but Blake panic for a second seeing how this was their first time and barely looked over the menu.
Being the savior Blake was the first to step up to the counter since she had already been and known what she wants, making the rest of the team relived now they have a moment to browse the menu "Good morning, Dani, may I have red eye and a Nutella croissant?"
After a second of typing Dani nodded her head causing a few of her piercings to ding together she looked back up towards the 5'6 girl "Of course, will that be all?" Blake stepped to the side and ushered towards Dani who smiled and waved warmly towards the three as they looked at each other to see who'd go next. Weiss was the first to respond as she silently ushered the siblings towards the counter since she WAS paying after all, it made sense for her to go last.
Without wasting anymore time Yang shrugged her shoulders and sauntered up to the counter to order "Good morning, can I get lavender late please? Oh and a bacon egg biscuit, that looks good!"
"Ohhh yes it is fantastic, we get fresh eggs and bacon every morning, as well as our biscuits that are also made in house. A very good choice"
Just as she did before with Blake, the barista typed in the order, only this time looked towards Garnet as piercing green meet as his soft silver, making the young boy blush slightly as he stepped up to the counter to place his order.
"U-Um, yes, can I please get a the chocolate mocha, and a chocolate chip cookie please?" Finishing his order Garnet averted his eyes towards his sister who was smirking at her socially awkward little brother making him look down towards the ground in which Yang proceeded to wrap her arms around him comfortingly as she held him close.
"Of course sweetie, and good choices by the way, that cookie has won more than a few awards" Dani had a sweet voice when taking everyone's orders, but when it came to Garnet you could hear a kind motherly shift in the tone of her voice which made him perk up a little bit in his sister's arms.
"And now for you ma'am what may I get you?" stepping up Weiss pondered for a moment as she looked from Dani to the board, her white eyes scanning before turning onto the Faunus behind the counter.
"How good are your lates and the croissant sandwiches?" The heiress was not trying to be a snob with her questioning, but Weiss was well acquainted with coffee culture, having grown up in a wealthy family they didn't drink energy drinks since it was what the commoners did, so when studying into the late hours or waking up for early mornings coffee was always the go to stimulant for the Schnee family, even going as far as getting specialty beans from Vacuo and Mistral.
As to some this question may have offended them, but the short Jaguar Faunus beamed in delight when asked.
"Yes our late has been voted to be the best in Vale three years running and we're actually taking the recipe to the Remnant Barista championships in hopes of at very least spreading the word about us. And as for the croissant... I've personally never had better. Just like the biscuits these are made fresh every morning. In fact, our baker used to work in several renown bakeries in Remnant!"
With every word Weiss got more and more intrigued, especially about the alleged skill of this baker the lady was talking about, so, why not see how good this food really is? "Excellent, I look forward to tasting them both for myself"
"Oh you won't be disappointed at all ma'am. Alright, your total is on the screen and we'll have it all out for you soon."
Turning the screen around for them to pay, Dani picked up her espresso shot glass before disappearing behind the curtain. Looking at the screen Weiss was surprised how cheap it was, only bein around 19.57 Lien, although being the Ice Queen of Beacon she showed no reaction and simply tapped her card on the screen before pulling out a 100 Lien note and setting it in the tip jar before turning to her team and ushering them towards the sitting room.
"Well go on, let's find a place to sit!" Weiss shooed her friends and teammate with her hands causing them all to giggle at their wealthy compatriot.
Turning towards the rest of the cafe it was nowhere near as small as the foyer. In front of the team were two small steps leading into a sunken seating area with dark wood floors, dark green walls and a clear cut path towards the other end of the cafe which wraps around out of sight. Stepping down Garnet, Weiss and Yang all take a moment to look around the surprisingly large room. To the right is a large pane of glass stretching almost all the way across, being stopped by a pillar then continuing on towards the other side, alongside it are high top tables and chairs for seating, perfect for an outside view and to bask in the warm morning sun on a chilly day. Opposing that it looks like a small portion of Beacon's library has been removed and placed inside this cafe, the entire wall is covered with books... and suddenly three fourths of the team have the same thought -'So this is why Blake likes it here-'
"Let's sit over here" Without hesitation Weiss heads over to one of the tables leaving no arguments from the rest of the group.
Claiming their seats Garnet and Yang sat facing the entrance while Blake and Weiss sat facing opposed with Garnet and Blake taking the window seats.
"Now that we're all here..." Weiss leant forwards on the table with a serious look on her face not making any eye contact as she stares down at the wooden table in front of her, catching the attention of her team and evoking a worried expressions from them all.
"I have to ask... How is everyone's break going so far!?" Weiss suddenly popped up with a large smile on her face as she faced her team, causing each and everyone of them to let out the breath they didn't know they were holding in, and even for Garnet to put his head on the table, exasturbated by the scare his partner gave them all, causing Yang to gently rub his back as she chuckled at his reaction.
"Weiss, did you really have to?" Came the slightly muffled voice of one Garnet Rose as he spoke, not lifting his head from the table causing Blake to gently rub his head in consolement of the one lone boy of the group, causing him to look up towards the noir coded girl of the group who gently took his chin in her hand lifting his head and by extension body back into his seat before sitting back in her seat with a soft smile aimed at the younger teen before both joining in conversation with the other two at the table about what has happened over their break.
"-so that's how we found out that our Uncle was slipping Garnet drinks." Yang sighed as she rubbed her forehead as Garnet looked away shyly from the second half of the table as Weiss covered her mouth appalled while Blake only shook her head in disbelief. "Needless to say our Uncle won't be serving him any more" The protective older sister glared at her little brother quickly making him scratch the back of his head as he chuckled nervously while the rest of the table laughed.
"Garnet I can't believe that you'd accept alcohol from your uncle!" While disapproving of the action Weiss was still very amused about the story, and besides, she can't say anything about underaged drinking because that would be quite hypocritical since she's had more than a sip at a few of her parent's parties.
"It's not like either of you are being hypocritical of Garnet" Blake chimed in with causing the two other girls to look away in embarrassment like Garnet had, especially Yang seeing as how she blew up a night club she frequented before Beacon.
While looking away Yang and Weiss had two different people catch their eyes.
While looking away Yang saw Dani walking towards their table with her tray of drinks and breakfast items, immediately causing Yang to straighten up in both anticipation and excitement.
Weiss on the other hand was looking in the opposite direction towards the raised part of the cafe. Sitting in one of the low chairs she saw one Velvet Scarlatina seemingly talking to someone who she couldn't see since they were unfortunately behind a wall, but never the less it made Weiss happy since Velvet would hopefully have someone around her to deal with Cardin and his lackies.
Continuing to watch it looks like they are getting ready to leave, but before she could see who it was a mop of yellow and lilac eyes brought her from her staring, causing her attention towards Yang who motioned in front of the heiress who looked down, realizing that her coffee and breakfast had been delivered to not only her but her team as well while she was distracted.
"-llo, remnant to ice queen, come in ice queen!" Waving her hand in front of Weiss who gently batted her hand away causing a snicker to come out of Yang. "Man, someone didn't get their beauty sleep dd they?"
"Oh please' Weiss scoffed "Talking about beauty sleep, weren't you the one who was late?" The remark landed dead center as Yang simply decided that redirecting the conversation would be a better tactic.
"... So how is your croissant Weiss-cream?"
"Tch, hush and eat your sandwich Yang!" The response was immediate and to the point as Yang happily saluted before taking a bite.
Meanwhile beside the princess and the dragon the cat and the gemstone are enjoying their drinks while Blake gave Garnet a few recommendations for books without any spice.
"And then lastly the book, Crime and Punishment, is one you should read. The book is old but it is a very intriguing story" Garnet's attention fell solely upon his Faunus teammate, listening to her recommendations now having quite the list of books he would be checking out from the library when they returned to school.
"Mhm, mhm. okay cool! Dang I've got a lot of books to read now..." And the list was quite extensive with over eighty books added onto his list, many being fictional while others were on leadership, a handfull of psycology books and one smut book Blake snuk in there somewhere, but Garnet woldn't know until he got over a chapter and a half in.
"Well, you did go to the expert on book reading baby brother" Yang chimed in as she leaned over Garnet's shoulder as he showed his sister the list on his scroll.
Just a moment later a notification appeared on Garnet's scroll that read 'Your tickets are now available...' selecting the drop down Garnet's phone opened into an entertainment app where four tickets were ready to be redeemed for the fair which Yang relayed to the table jolting an air of excitement from the two girls on the other side of the table.
"Well if our tickets are ready and we're all done we should get going then, I'm sure the lines to get in are going to be long..." Weiss followed up causing agreements from the rest of the table.
"well lets get going then!" Yang replied before downing the rest of her coffee, sparking the rest of the table to do the same before they all got up to leave, stopping only to say their compliments to Dani before leaving the cafe and Weiss casually pulling five hundred Lien from her pocket to put in the tip jar as discretely as possible before remotely starting her car. Safe to say the Heiress would be coming back.
Once the team got outside they were very surprised by who greeted them.
