Totally Spies: Daisy The Spy

Chapter 4

"Who's Shirley?" Daisy asked in confusion.

"Our insane ex-yoga instructor who wanted to brainwash all of her old students, including us, into helping her 'eliminate the competition'," Clover explained.

"She blamed us for treating Power Yoga Chi-Kwan-Do like a 'passing fad'," Sam added.

"She managed to turn Sam into a mindless devotee," Alex spoke.

"Thanks for bringing that up, Alex," Sam groaned.

"So you think this 'Shirley' woman is behind these attacks?" Daisy asked curiously.

"Well, based on that logo, it would seem so," Alex speculated. "But I thought we locked her up years ago."

"Hmmm… if Shirley actually managed to escape…" Jerry pressed a few buttons on his desk. "Oh, my… it appears Shirley did indeed escape the WOOHP containment facility without so much as tripping an alarm."

"Once again, so much for the state of the art WOOHP security system," Alex said sarcastically.

Jerry frowned, "Yes, well… and it appears that Shirley is indeed behind these attacks."

"But how is Shirley getting so many people to help her?" Alex wondered aloud.

"I'll bet Shirley has moved on from just brainwashing her students and decided to find a whole bunch of people to turn into devotees," Sam surmised.

"Yep… sounds like she still has issues even after all these years," Clover groaned.

"But why would she want to destroy a bunch of karate and exercise dojos?" Daisy inquired.

"Because that's exactly what she wanted to do last time," Sam answered. "She tried to use all of her 'yogees' to destroy Kung Fu Fondue last time we fought her, but now it seems that this time she's getting a lot of yogees to destroy a bunch of exercise classes."

"Do you think she's planning to brainwash our mommies?!" Alex asked in alarm.

"Not if we can help it!" Clover said angrily. "That crazy yoga woman is so gonna regret messing with my mother!"

"Yeah, we gotta rescue our mommies ASAP!" Alex agreed.

"Agreed," Sam responded. She turned to Jerry. "Jerr, do you still have that black belt gadget that Clover and Alex used to take down Shirley last time?"

"I believe we do," Jerry answered. "And I believe you will indeed be needing it for this mission."

"But do we even know where Shirley might have taken our mommies?" Alex wondered aloud.

"As a matter of fact we do," Jerry spoke. "Stella's compowder signal hasn't moved from the dojo where your mothers were attacked. But we've traced Carmen and Gabby's compowders to a warehouse on the east of Malibu."

"Then that's where we need to go right away!" Sam announced.

"Can I come too?" Daisy suddenly asked. "I know this would be my first mission and stuff, but I can't just stand idly by when mom is in trouble."

"Now, look, Daisy…" Sam said gently. "I understand you want to help, but Shirley is dangerous."

"Yeah, Clover and I nearly got beaten by her last time and we had to fight Sammy because she got brainwashed," Alex added.

"Now, wait a minute, girls," Clover interjected. "I understand that this kind of mission might be a little intense for a first timer like my sister. But think about it… Shirley obviously has it in for us, but she wouldn't be expecting four people to show up instead of three. If we bring Daisy with us, she could be our surprise ace in the hole."

"Hmm… that is a pretty good point," Alex said in acknowledgement.

"And remember how Daisy completely knocked out Geraldine's demented niece the other day?" Clover pointed out. "And before she started her spy-training, I might add."

"Hmm, I guess you do make a compelling argument, Clover," Sam spoke.

Sam turned to Jerry who was still on the digital screen, "What do you think, Jerr?"

"Hmm, well, after all the training Daisy has put in, I suppose she deserves a chance to prove herself," Jerry said in admittance.

"You mean… I'm going on my first mission with Clover and her friends?!" Daisy said excitedly.

"Yes, Daisy, it would seem that you are," Jerry said with slight reluctance in his voice.

"YES!" Daisy said excitedly while jumping up and down.

Clover, Sam and Alex stared at Daisy awkwardly as she celebrated.

"Now let me remind you, Daisy, that being a spy isn't all fun and games," Jerry pointed out. "Clover, Sam and Alex know that first hand."

Daisy halted her celebration and composed herself, "Uh, sorry, Jerry. Believe me, after that whole thing with Grace kidnapping me, I know being a spy isn't a cakewalk for anybody. I also understand that my mom needs help. I'm just really excited to go on a mission with my big sister and her friends."

"Believe me, sis, so am I," Clover said with a big smile.

Jerry nodded, "Well, now that all is said and done, come to my office right away so that I can supply you with your gadgets and send you on your way."

"Right away, Jerry," Sam responded.

Clover, Sam, Alex and Daisy soon met up with Jerry in his office.

"Here is the black belt gadget you requested, Sam," Jerry spoke as he handed said gadget to each of the girls, including Daisy.

"Thanks, Jerr," Sam said in appreciation.

"So this belt will allow me to do all of the fighting styles, Clover, Sam and Alex can do and/or have seen on TV?" Daisy said in amazement.

"It sure can," Clover answered.

"But you have to use it sparingly or it'll give you a pounding headache," Alex informed.

"Thanks for the warning," Daisy said wearily.

"In addition, I believe for this mission you will also be needing the sonic disintegrator boom box, the earing microphone communicators, the hot and spicy gum and the reverse polarizing hair clip," Jerry informed the girls as he handed them each of said gadgets.

"Uh, pardon me for asking…" Daisy spoke up. "But what would I need hot and spicy gum for?"

"Oh, it's for when we get in a situation if we're tied up or something like that," Clover explained.

"The hot and spicy gum makes the chewer really sweat and become slippery," Alex added.

"Hmm, sounds like an interesting way to get out of traps," Daisy commented.

"No kidding," Sam chuckled.

"One more thing you will be needing for your first mission, Daisy," Jerry spoke up.

Jerry took something out of a drawer in his desk before walking over to Daisy. Jerry held out what he had taken out of his desk, which turned out to be a compowder.

"I present to you, your very own compowder," Jerry said with pride in his voice.

Daisy gasped in excitement, "Oh wow."

Daisy took the compact-like device out of Jerry's hand and opened it. It certainly looked like a regular compact, only it looked really high-tech on the inside.

"Cool! Just like the ones you and your friends have, Clover," Daisy said excitedly.

Clover chuckled, "Sure is."

"It's like she's a member of our team already," Alex added.

Sam looked a little nervous. She was personally happy that Clover's sister would be joining them on the mission, but she was also nervous about how a first timer like her would be able to handle it.

"Do I get a cool catsuit like you girls too?" Daisy inquired.

"Why yes," Jerry answered. "In fact, it is already built into your compowder. Just press that button."

Jerry pointed to a button on the inside of the compowder. Daisy pressed the button to activate the instant outfit function and sure enough, the compowder began to change the outfit Daisy was wearing. Until finally, Daisy was completely changed into a maroon colored catsuit.

"Woah, cool!" Daisy said as she admired herself in her new catsuit.

"Hey, looking good, sis," Clover said as she marveled at her sister's new look.

"Yeah, Maroon is totally your color," Alex added in amazement.

"Yeah, you look great, Daisy," Sam also added in amazement.

Daisy chuckled, "Thanks, Girls."

"Well, then, now that you girls are properly equipped…" Jerry spoke up. "I believe you have a rescue mission to embark on."

"Oh, yeah, you betcha, Jerr," Clover said eagerly.

With that, Clover, Sam and Alex activated the instant outfit functions on their compowders which changed them into their own respective catsuits.

"Alright, girls, ready to go rescue our moms from our crazy ex-yoga instructor?" Sam said with a determined look.

"Yeah!" The other girls shouted.

Meanwhile, Stella, Gabby and Carmen were still laying on the ground trapped in yoga mats while Shirley, the rogue yoga instructor stood above them with a devious smirk.

"Alright, start talking, lady!" Carmen demanded. "Who are you and what do you want with our daughters?"

Oh, so they're your daughters, huh?" Shirley responded with a chuckle. "I'm so glad you asked. My name is Shirley and I'm the former instructor of Power Yoga Chi-Kwan-Do from Beverly Hills. Maybe you've heard of it?"

"Um, no, not really," Stella said with a confused face.

"To be honest, I'm not surprised," Shirley continued with a bitter look. "Your daughters were in my class years ago and were by far the worst students I ever taught. Top that with the fact that they treated my class like a passing fad. It was because of them and all my other students dropping out that I had to close down my studio."

"Um, are you sure they didn't just drop out because you're nuts?" Gabby commented, thinking the woman was crazy.

"It had nothing to do with me!" Shirley snapped. "They were just ungrateful! Anyway, some months after I closed down my studio and left town, I returned in order to seek revenge on those ungrateful girls and all the other students who used to be in my class. I did this by using my Chi Machine to brainwash all my old students into becoming my own personal 'yogees'."

"'Yogees'?" Carmen repeated in confusion.

"'Chi Machine'?" Gabby also repeated.

"That's right," Shirley continued. "I planned to use my followers to eliminate the competition. Including the class that was 'in fashion' at the time called Kung-fu Fondue. And I was planning to use it on your daughters as well. Unfortunately, I only managed to brainwash one of those girls, I believe it was the red-head, while the other two escaped."

Gabby gasped, "That's Sam! Why you little…!"

Gabby wanted to strangle Shirley, but couldn't as she was still stuck in the yoga mat.

Shirley chuckled in amusement.

"Anyway…" She continued. "Before me and my devotees could destroy Kung-fu Fondue, the other two girls managed to defeat me and get me covered in fondue before they sent me to prison!"

Shirley snarled as she said this before she developed a sinister smirk, "But now, after nearly four years of having to live in that stupid prison, I managed to escape. And now, once again, it's time for revenge!"

"What exactly are you planning to do?!" Carmen demanded.

"And what does this have to do with us?!" Stella demanded too.

"Oh, you'll see," Shirley said with a sinister smirk. "The first thing I'm gonna do is use you three as bait!"

Shirley turned to two of her devotees.

"Now toss them next to the Chi Machine!" Shirley ordered.

One follower hoisted Stella onto his shoulder while the other follower grabbed Gabby and Carmen. They brought the three spy mothers over near a gigantic circle with a big hole in the center.

"I could just turn all three of you into my yogees right now," Shirley said with an evil grin. "But I think it would be more fun if those ungrateful daughters of yours were here to watch."

"You're insane!" Carmen shouted.

"Insults won't help you one little bit," Shirley responded. She turned to three of her devotees. "Gag them!"

Three of Shirley's yogees took small pieces of tape and put them on each of the mothers' mouths.

"Now all I have to do is wait for those girls to show up and then the real fun can begin," Shirley said before laughing maniacally.

To be continued…

AN: I would like to thank Sabre for giving me the idea to make Daisy's catsuit maroon.
