Maeve finished folding her blankets and putting the fold mattress back into the couch. "Hey Maeve. We are going to paint the fence want to join us?" Said Cuphead. After this we can go walk around to find something fun to do that we all can enjoy." Said Mugman smiling. "Well im going to find some jobs. Won't take long if some aren't to my liking." Said Maeve grabbing her bag heading out. She walked down the dirt halfway down the forest near the house until she fain explosion. "Called it." Said Maeve then kept going hearing the sound of carnival music. She went over to the sound seeing a Carnival with a few folks having a good time having a look around. "Step right and win a prize or lose your Soul!" Said a elephant man in charge of he ring toss. "That's a weird way to bring customers." said Maeve walking away. She then turned around feeling eyes on her shaking off thinking it was in her head bumping into a wall looking to King Dice. "Dice. What are you doing here?" Said Maeve. "Business reasons. And I thought I saw your beautiful face here. You like the carnival?" Said Dice. "I was actually looking for a job." Said Maeve. "Really? Well I can definitely help you with that. What are your skills, Doll?" Said Dice walking her with his hand on her upper back. "Im a singer. A popular one by my stage name Maeve the Muse. But I didnt want to draw too much attention with the fans I had to deal with." Said Maeve. "I know the feeling but with me. You're perfectly safe. So how about we get together over dinner tonight?" Said Dice. "Well . . . What's that?" Said Maeve hearing a loud commotion following the the sound with Dice behind her.
She saw Cuphead getting a high score on a speedball game with a huge crowd cheering him on. "Roll for a Soul. Good choice." Said Dice. "What do you mean?" Said Maeve looking at him. "If he loses the game. His soul belongs to the Drvil. This Carnival is his choice to collect them and something else. But since he is winning makes him pretty mad." Said Dice. "How do you know all of " Maeve paused to smell smoke and found the Devil himself with his pitch fork looking at her brother. Mugman saw him and freaked out like everyone else but froze in his place instead of running away. "Cuphead. Cuphead." Said Mugman nudging him. Maeve saw that this caused Cuphead to miss shot going to them but Dice began leading her away holding her back. "That's game and your soul belongs to me." Said The Devil. "Ow!" Said Dice after Maeve slammed her heel into his foot. Maeve got between the Devil and her brother glaring at him without fear. "Over my dead body. You're not taking my idiot brothers soul." Said Maeve. "Do you know who i am? Rules are rules." Said The Devil snapping his fingers. The game started sucking put Cupheads soul having Maeve grab it pulling back with Mugman helping her putting his soul back. "Run!" said Cuphead. They soon enough grabbed Maeve's hands running away with the Devil chasing after them through out the carnival even using his powers. Maeve turned the corner with her brothers behind them when she was grabbed from behind by a figure holding her arms and covered her mouth from screaming. She was dragged back further in the tent seeing the shadow of Cuphead and Mugman passing her and slammed her head against her captor. "You are really wearing a man down, Doll." Said King Dice rubbing his nose. "What are you doing?" Said Maeve facing him.
"Saving you. You cant face a great evil like the Devil." said King Dice. "I dont care. He messes with my brothers then he has to go through me." said Maeve. She turned to the exit but was pulled by to be dipped to look at King Dice like they were dancing. "Bad idea. No one has ever stood against the Devil and live." said King Dice standing her up holding her close to his chest. Well he hasnt met me yet." said Maeve pushing him off but felt his grip getting tight. She looked at him for moment not saying anything having him smirking while the sounds of her brothers screaming and the exploding sounds in the background. Outside the tent with no one but Cuphead and Mugman running pass the same tent against heard someone being hit hard. Maeve rushed out seeing them going to the game that Cuphead lost to facing the dark smoke with Devils glowing yellow eyes getting close. "Maeve! Duck now!" said Mugman. Maeve dropped to the ground in time for the boys to dodge the blast from the Devils pitchfork to destroy the game releasing everyone's souls. "Good thinking Muggy. Come on lets go home." said Maeve running out of the carnival with them. "Wow. I cant believe you let them get away with Maeve." said the henchman standing next to the devil. "They didnt get away. Hes soul still belongs to wait a minute. You know who that woman is." said the Devil looking at him. "Yeah. She is a popular singer known as Maeve the Muse. Im a fan of hers." said the Henchman. "And she's their sister with a real fire in her." said King Dice waddling over. "What happened to you?" said The Devil looking at him. "What do you think?" said King Dice lightly touching his groin making them hissed in pain. "Well it looks like i have get her soul too. No matter how attractive she is for stunt she did." said the Devil poofing himself and Henchman an elevator down to Hell.
