"Are you sure, we should have a stray Terran with us. The neighbours are talking about her." Ranger asked.
"I don't care what the neighbours say. Kit is new to our world and needs us.
Plus she's a kit just like Casey. Give Kit a chance." Rocket Senior told him.
It was afternoon on Halfworld and Kit was having rest time after a productive morning alomg with helping make lunch so it was just Ranger and Rocket Senior for a bit until Casey came home from school in a bit so Rocket Senior was leaving to go to the grocery store to get supplies telling Ranger to hold down the fort alomg with letting Kit rest making Ranger sigh. Rocket Senior scowled at some of his neighbours hearing them whisper about Kit as she wasn't a monster getting in his car leaving the driveway hoping the neighbourhood would chill out about Kit.
At 7-11, he got what he needed paying for the groceries and leaving returning home seeing Ranger on the couch asleep making him smirk. "You did a good job buddy, thanks." he whispered before going to put the groceries away having the radio on gently playing in the background seeing Casey home from school asking where Kit was making Rocket Senior get it.
"She's sleeping honey, as we had a productive morning along with her adding to our family garden." Rocket Senior said as he was making snacks seeing Kit there rubbing sleep from her eyes with her paw making Casey relieved she was okay curious about how things had went. "I think I planted a mystery plant in your garden. It was Marshmallow's idea." Kit was telling her while having tea.
"That's awesome plus school was okay." Casey said.
"Yeah, plus Marshmallow was talking to me about school. I don't know if I wanna go." Kit said making Casey get it that maybe the Terran kit had a bad time at Terran school making Kit nod. "Yeah but maybe school here might be different, right." Kit told her making Casey nod.
"You should just try, as it could be an adventure." Casey told her.
"I'll think about it." Kit told her. She was unaware that Rocket Senior had heard that, happy she was thinking about this knowing some of the Halfworlders in the fancy or rich neighboyrhoods weren't going to like this especialky Lylla and Phillip's parents, the owners of the most famous toy company on Halfworld but he'd prepare Kit for this if she decided to go to school making Ranger wonder what he was thinking aboht bringing him out of his train of thought.
"Nothing you have to worry about. Help me with dinner okay." he said making Ranger nod.
During dinner, the news was on and Kit saw Casey frown seeing Phillip and Lylla's family on the TV as they were donating toys to a hospital making Kit confused. "Their family run the most famous toy company on Halfworld but they're probably mad at us because I dethroned Phillip." Casey whispered making Kit get it.
Later that evening, Casey was suiting up in her Raccoon Girl armour preparing to go on patrol as being Princess, this was how she helped Halfworld hoping Kit didn't see as she thought she was cool plus she hadn't told her about the fact she was a mutant and had super-powers in case she didn't get it flying off into the night unaware Kit had seen, her eyes wide in awe making Rocket Senior facepalm at this. He then was explaining to her about Casey, how she'd been born with powers she was still learning to control which she got finding it cool.
"That's good you find her cool. She was wanting to tell you." he said to her.
"Yeah I do, plus maybe I can try school. She told me what it's like." Kit said.
