"You done, Wise?" a young girl with dark blue hair with orange at the bottom, dark aqua eyes light orange on the bottom, and light skin. She wears her hair clip N, Orange and dark aqua earrings on different sides of her head, a black long-sleeve T-shirt with a white and orange Japanese Texture, A white orange dark gray jacket with a white badge with orange teal texture, a teal vibrate neckless, a teal wrist bracelet with gray bracelet, an orange glove, a gray orange skirt with a gray orange belt with a white orange purple radio, a black orange sock is on her right leg, a black long sock is on her left, and gray sneaker with back straps. She is Belle Arc, Jaune's adopted sister.
"Yeah, Belle. That was the last box," He answered, "Can't believe we managed to get such a nice place,"
"It's nice change of pace after everything we went through," his sister said to him, "With everyone trying to get you over a piece of paper,"
"Honestly that seems a bit dumb to get upset about," the young man chuckled, "Thanks for stay by my side,"
"No problem, it's the least I can do. Though it might be awhile to get used to your new hair," she open one of the boxes, "Didn't think you would actually do that,"
Jaune's eyes lowered, "Well the last thing I want to be reminded of is that family," the air has gotten uncomfortable now as both him and Belle silently set things up in the backroom, "You think anyone will pick up?" he asked his sister,
"Only way to find out," Belle said as she booted up the computer while her brother booted up a little machine in front of him. Short and stout with white cloth skin and rabbit ears, when it booted for the first time, his eyes glow a yellowish green. Jaune smiled, "Welcome back, Euos,"
"Enuh nuh? (Master? How long was I gone?" He asked,
"Not too long ago, buddy. But we're at our new home in New Eridu,"
"Eu nu? (New Eridu? So are we going forward with the plan?"
"Yep, the Proxy Business is at full sail now," Jaune answered, "We're going to need all hands on deck, got it?"
"Nuh! (Got it!)" Euos happily emotes,
"Okay Wise, we're at full swing!" Belle said,
"Well let's see what kind of jobs we got ready for the meantime," the smart sibling said as he goes to the H.U.D, "Also we might want to start a business to help pay bills,"
"We could go for the Video Rental, Sixth Street seems to love retro media,"
"Good idea." He said as the two began their new life together in the city.
6 Months Later
As business booms for both their Proxy job and their ownership of Random Play. The siblings made a name for themselves. Meeting all kinds of people on their way and dealing with all kinds of commissions that New Eridu has to offer. Even the Outer Ring was amazing despite their low tolerance to the Ether emitting around them.
Jaune is now setting up today's movie pick of the day with Billy at the register, "Manager, what was your life like before coming to New Eridu?"
Jaune stopped for a second and turned his attention to the sentient android, "What got you so curious?"
"Well considering you found out about my life before the Cunning Hares, I was curious about your life," Billy said to him, "When I was hanging out with Belle, I noticed a picture of her and a man with blonde hair who looks suspiciously like you," Jaune couldn't help but laugh at Billy's observation skills,
"You heard of the Four Kingdoms, right?" he asked his friend,
"Yeah, kind of backwards when it comes to society when they have humans and Thirens with superpowers, but yet have some forms of racism there," Billy heard of the Land of Remnant during his time in the Outer Ring, didn't think he would have this conversation about it,
"Well once upon a time, there was a young boy who wanted to be like his ancestors…" Jaune narrated his life, "But his family gave up on him before he could ever learn to be a fighter, because they wanted to protect him,"
"Uh? Isn't there like mindless beasts and bandits that want to kill just for the fun of it?" The Starlight Knight fanboy asked,
"Clearly they wanted a caged bird than a son," Jaune responds, "Anyway he had enough of that life and left home with the family heirloom, a sword and shield," Billy's head turned to the sword and shield mounted on the wall, "He took some fake transcripts and went to one of the prestigious schools for hunters and huntresses,"
"Damn, that takes some balls," Billy comment,
"He was made leader of his team after the initiation, everything was looking good for him," he smiled for a moment then it slowly fades away, "But he helped and trust the wrong people that leads to him being outcasted,"
"Damn, I guess they found out the false transcripts," Billy commented,
"Yeah. After all the harassment and bullying, he kept his head held up high," Jaune's eyes focus on the mounted weapons on the wall, "Despite everything that happened to him, he kept fighting till the end,"
"And then what happened next?"
"He grew tired of everything as soon as his family demanded to return home, so he and his only support left the kingdoms to live far away from them." For a moment, the store was silent. Only he and Billy kept quiet about this, "And they lived happily ever after…"
Billy sighed, "Manager, did you ever think about them finding you?"
Jaune chuckled, "Little did they know that they won't be able to do much without tarnishing their reputation in harming a citizen in New Eridu," Billy got up and patted his friend's back,
"Well you have the support of the Cunning Hares if they ever dare enter here,"
"Thanks Billy."
Little did they know some people were listening in on their conversation. A girl that looks like a blonde version of Weiss was listening when she tried to enter the store, 'Wise… You have the full support of the Sons of Calydon if they dare take you away,'
From the side, a young woman in a police uniform, 'You have Public Sec full protection,' and behind her, a young woman in a school uniform, 'I'll let Lyacon know about this situation.'
Meanwhile thousands of miles away….
Piper Wheel is a young- wait? She's 60? The fuck? Well anyway, she is making her delivery for the Outer Ring in her trusty truck. Normally she had Lucy help her out but the youngling wants to get close to the local video store manager in any way possible. It's alright with her, it's not a long delivery for her. Who knew there were goods from Remnant that people wanted. Probably the dust that these fancy people of white were producing or some packages of ramen that probably have a taste of Remnant in them. Who knows. Not Piper.
Driving through the endless wasteland of the Outer Ring, she sees a man in green looking down on his luck. Probably someone lost and has no idea how dangerous this place is. Better stop and take him to one of the settlements. She stopped her truck on the man, "Hey young man, do you need a ride?"
"Huh? No I am can reach into a village on foot," the man said,
"Hate to break it to you," Piper said, "But you're about miles away from the nearest settlement and I don't think you have the Ether tolerance to make it there," she opened the passenger side of the truck, "So come on in, you must be tired from all that walking,"
The man rather take his chance and rides with her, "I'll kindly take your offer, miss" he gets into the truck,
"Wonder what you're doing out there?" she asked then examine his clothes, "You don't look like you're from New Eridu at all,"
"I'm from Vale," he responded, "I am Headmaster Ozpin of Beacon Academy,"
"Headmaster, huh?" her interest perked up, "It's been years since I heard that term,"
"How old are you, miss?"
"Never asked a lil' ol' lady her age, young man," Piper laughed a little, "So what brings you to the Outer Ring?"
Ozpin sighed, "Well it all started when one of my students leaving abruptly, he was subjected to bullying over false transcripts,"
"Really over a piece of paper," Piper raised an eyebrow, "Back in my time, we had to resort to unsavory things to keep bread on the table,"
"Clearly those students never thought of going home hungry or doing things shady just to have an education," Ozpin said as he remembers some of his reincarnations where he experienced poverty, "The reason why I took him in because he had a unique education outside of Remnant,"
"Really?" this perks her interest,
"You see, he had education in a city called Eridu,"
"Ah the old capitol," Piper said, "He must be one of the survivors,"
"Survivors?"
Piper sighed as she remembered that day, "A lot of Ether Activity spiked in the Old Capitol causing the whole city to be swallowed whole taking everything and everyone. It was like the end of the world, leaving New Eridu the last of civilization here,"
"Sounds terrible," Ozpin felt awful hearing that,
"Yep, but enough about that, continue."
"Oh right," Ozpin continued, "Anyway, he had a lot of potential despite the lack of combat experience but that is why we are a school," his expression frowned, "Shame that my students don't learn a damn thing…"
"Guess that boy is special to you?"
"I knew his grandfather and his father before him," he said, "And know of his ancestor who did the same thing…"
"So… are you looking for him just to bring him back to school?" Piper is curious about the boy he talking about,
"In our war with the Grimm, we need all the help we can get. No one is truly useless," Ozpin knows that this student have so much potential that needs more nurturing,
"So what is the special kid's name?"
"Jaune Arc." Piper almost stopped the truck in a screeching halt from hearing that.
Meanwhile at Random Play
Jaune looks through his things in his room, a neat and organized room compared to Belle's room which can be messy. But it looks clean compared to the room he used to share with his former team. His attention turned to the calendar on the wall and noticed a date with a cake drawn on it, "Oh it's almost mine and Belle's birthday," he chuckled a bit at how time flies fast, "Can't believe days go by fast," he said to himself, "I wonder what should we do for our birthday?" he asked himself, then heard the back door opening and closing. He quickly goes downstairs, "Belle, you there?"
The bubbly girl smiled, "Yes, Wise. How were things while I was gone?"
"Nothing much, just Billy asking about my life,"
"Oh?"
"I gave him the rundown how everyone back at home are just not worth having in our lives," he said,
"Hey," Belle lightly scolds him, "Our relatives supported us when we wanted to take our education in Eridu. And there's the professors at Beacon who treated you kindly after everything that went down,"
"Yeah, I am surprised how Glynda can be a total mama bear when it comes to protecting me," Jaune commented, "And those extra lessons sure did wonders in protecting myself,"
Belle smiled, "Well big brother, even if we live far away, remember the people that actually care," the other proxy nodded in agreement,
"Oh I almost forgot," Jaune said, "It's almost our birthday,"
The girl was surprised to hear that, "Really?" with a nod from her brother, "Wow, time sure flies fast," she thought of something, "Why not have a party with our friends?"
"Really?" the young man asked, "You think they'll show up?" Their friends would probably have better things to do than come to their birthday,
"Why not?" Belle is optimistic as ever, "They aren't like those dirtbags back in Beacon, Wise. They really treat us like friends,"
He thought about it and she does have a point, I mean, they are willing to work for them in their video store when asked. They took the time out of their day to help them with commissions and trust them enough to join them in whatever they have planned like rebuilding a restaurant or asking for advice on what milktea to get. Maybe they are different. Maybe he should take that chance, "Alright, let's go with the plan but where should we have our party?"
"Well we could have it at Cheesetopia but I don't think they would want to leave the city. So why not here since everyone is so well acquainted here,"
"You also have a point, I'll start calling everybody and see what we can do."
The bell of the door rung as someone entered the store, "Oh sorry, we're-"
"So this what you've been doing, Mr Arc," Jaune could not believe what he was seeing, his old headmaster in front of him with that sage look on his face, "I believe a reunion is in order, right?"
AN: Well that's that. Sorry if it's shorter than my usual fics but then again, this isn't a reaction fic. So let's celebrate making the first RWBY/ZZZ crossover fic. Where's my award? I try to change things up than the usual Jaune Betrayed fics because I like to mix things up and see where it goes from here. And sorry if I was dead on this site, mainly because of what was going on FanFiction which made me lose faith in it. And that I was focusing different fics on Wattpad.
