[Intermission of Reckoning]
WORLDWIDE POPULATION LEFT: 82%
As the sun emerged and the dark clouds vanished, the red portals in the sky dissipated, returning the sky to its familiar blue from its bloodshot state.
The citizens of Lugunica looked up, horrified by the sight before them—a pile of charred bodies. Like the rest of the soldiers of darkness, they turned into dust upon death. However, their transformation was slower, like watching paper burn in a hot wind, their remains carried away by the breeze. A question arose: did they win? What happens now that their homes have been destroyed?
One thing was clear: the foreign army, the one that emerged from the portal and still lingered, had greatly underestimated their strength and power. It was obvious that the foreign army saw them as weaklings. Crusch remembered Khan's words well as he described them.
"Weak."
Crusch's eyes narrowed, her eyebrows furrowed in vexation, and she momentarily bit the nail of her thumb. "Ferris." Crusch summoned him, who was essentially affixed beside her. "Crusch-sama, did you call for ferri-chan nya?" Felix inquired, equally disconcerted as her or everyone else.
"I did. I believe that they see us as some weaklings that they need to protect," Crusch said calmly despite the irritation.
Felix, contrarily, did not share her notion, appearing skeptical. "Crusch-sama… They've unsheathed their swords against us, threatened us, and even taken a few lives from us,They show no regard for us at all" Felix said. "How is it possible to claim they're protecting us when they don't even treat us well, Crusch-sama?" he asked.
Crusch pondered for a moment. "Felix, I believe that we can't expect others to respect us if we don't stand up for ourselves. By showing our strength and resolve, we can change their perceptions. Assuming they share Kaan-sama's perspective, they see us as nothing more than just a few weaklings."
"Observe my appearance. I stand before you clad in nothing more than nightwear, a chestplate, and a regular sword. Would you, upon our first encounter, perceive me as a warrior? I too would harbor doubts about the combat capabilities of someone dressed in such a manner," Crusch said while looking at the regular sword she held, it didn't shine nor it had the abilities of her personal sword. In fact, she had not altered her attire since the judgement day commenced, except for the distributed weapons and chestplate. Reflecting on it, she was impressed that she managed to incite the entire crowd to cheer at the commencement of the judgement day while donning clothes and equipment that wouldn't impress anyone.
'It would also harm my reputation. I have given a speech that made the crowd roar, yet we are doing nothing but huddling.'
Felix exhibited a subtle micro-expression of conflicting thoughts and emotions as his lips tightened lightly. "But, They don't seem to care about us at all, they don't even give a second thought to how to treat us,"
"It appears to me that their actions stem from a gross underestimation of our capabilities. It is imperative that we demonstrate our ability to stand our ground in battle. If we do not, they will continue to sideline us, depriving us of our rightful place in combat," Crusch said. Felix opened his mouth—
"Felix, I comprehend your sentiments and share your displeasure at the lives they've taken from us. However, have faith in my words. I am of the firm belief that if we demonstrate our strength and prove that we are not to be underestimated, they will cease to treat us in such a manner," Crusch said, her words leaving no room for arguments.
Felix couldn't attempt to convince her anymore; her resolve was now too firm to budge. "Crusch-sama… I understand. I'll will stand by your side, no matter what happens."
Crusch's resolve solidified as she glanced around, assessing their current position. With a curt nod to Wilhelm.
"Wilhelm, get us out of this crowd. We must go back to our camp and arm ourselves, both for the judgement day and to show we aren't weaklings," she ordered.
"It shall be done immediately, Crusch-sama," Wilhelm said. He struggled for a brief second in the tight crowd around him but managed to squeeze past Crusch. "My apologies, Crusch-sama. My apologies," he said while doing so to Crusch and other strangers. Now, he was between Crusch and Felix. He wrapped his arms around Felix and Crusch's waists.
"Get ready, Crusch-sama, Felix-san. I'll jump now," Wilhelm said, and he jumped out of the crowd, landing on the roofs of undestroyed homes.
With both of them still being carried by Wilhelm, he ran on top of the buildings to reach their camp. Not long after, those who could, jumped out of the crowd too for their own reasons.
As both of them were being carried by wilhelm back to their camp, Crusch glanced to the holy dragon just sitting on top of a building seemingly doing nothing.
Her eyebrows furrowed and her lips scrunched in irritation "Tch.. as expected" Crusch said to noone
(I think i'll stop trying to write in formal tone when describing stuff from the perspective of lugunicians characters because it's unneccessaringly exhausting. and if i get exhausted, i kinda expect you to get exhausted too reading it, so im gonna stop doing that.)
A woman, to be precise, a demi-human oni with blue hair who wore a maid's dress—Rem—had been inside the rented apartment to allow Roswaal-sama and Emilia-sama to stay, rest, and eat temporarily. Roswaal-sama had instructed her to stay put and not engage in battle except for the protection of Emilia or in self-defense. All this while, she had been observing the Lugunicans, who were squeezed into a single point, from the window. But she wasn't alone, as there was another person, a half-elf, Emilia, who had been asked to do the same thing as Rem—to not engage in any fight if possible. However, for whatever reason, Roswaal decided to rent this apartment in the city instead of the safe mansion they would usually rent.
For the entire time she been wondering who were those colossal, black demi-humans, or whatever was happening. She couldnt tell this wasn't the Witch cult as they didn't smell like her at all-
Suddenly, Roswaal appeared from the sky infront of the window that she was leaning on. Startled, Rem stepped back and bowed deeply, saying, "Roswaal-sama."
"Roswaal?" Emilia, surprised, her voice echoed.
"Reeem~ Emilia-saaammaaaaaaa. Are you both unharmed?" Roswaal asked as he stepped inside the apartment through the window.
"Yes, Roswaal-sama, I am unharmed as I followed your orders not to fight. Emilia-sama has also not engaged in any fights, thus unharmed," Rem replied.
"Are you harmed anywhere, Roswaal-sama?" Rem asked.
Emilia looked briefly at Rem, who responded on her behalf, and smiled slightly and turned to look at roswaal.
"Ah, I am unharmed thank you for your coonceerrrnnnnnnn. I didn't participate much in the fight after all, Reeem. Just a few fireballs and then i was geeenttlllyyy asked to stop fighting, of coruse, ii doontt mmmiiiiinndddddddd"
Rem nodded, but she had another question in mind "Roswaal-sama, I apologize if this is rude, but I can't sense my sister. I wish to return to the mansion to check on her," Rem expressed her concern.
"Raaaam? Just staaaaaay heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere, Rem. I'll go cheEEEEEeeeeck on my oooowwwwnnn," Roswaal responded.
With that, Roswaal bid his farewells and jumped out of the window, flying off, presumably back to his mansion.
"Be safe, Roswaal-sama, and please tell me if my sister is alright," Rem asked him, but he was already too far away to hear her request.
'Sister, I hope you are alright. She was feeling uneasy, but all of a sudden, it went to zero, as if she disappeared,' Rem thought to herself, watching Roswaal fly away from the window.
"Rem," Emilia said.
She turned to face Emilia. "Yes, Emilia-sama?"
"It must be unsettling not to feel your sister, but I'm sure everything will be alright," Emilia said, her tone worried yet comforting.
"Thank you, Emilia-sama. My sister is amazing. Whatever happens, I'm sure she won't have any troubles, as my sister didn't feel alarmed or scared." Rem responded.
Emilia nodded.
(I don't know why, but it's funny for me to draw out Ros-chi's unique way of talking even more.)
[ADADADADDAADADADAD]
Emilia leaned out of the window, empathizing and worrying about all those people squashed together like a tightly knit fabric. She appreciated that the foreign knights, despite their aggression, were trying to prevent the militias and others from fighting, leaving all the brunt to themselves. However, the issue lay in their approach to keeping the militias away from the battle. There were better solutions to that.
And they could just let the militias take space, since everything seemed to have ended now.
Then the gem that held Puck, disguised as a necklace, started to glow. Noticing this, Emilia held her necklace. "Puck?" she said to her necklace with a lot of confusion.
Tiny, shiny orbs appeared, quickly forming into a great spirit in the form of a cat. It took a moment, but he was fully formed now, a grey cat: Puck.
He stretched and yawned on Emilia's hand. "Good morning, Lia," he greeted her in a sleepy tone.
After that, he started to look around. "Lia, this doesn't look like your bedroom. Did something happen?" Puck asked Emilia.
Emilia closed her eyes and sighed. "Puck, why did you wake up so early? It's not half Wind Time (9 AM) yet. It's unusually early for you," she said. (Wind time is from 6 AM to 12 PM)
But before Puck could respond, Emilia shook her head. "No, it's alright. Please disregard that, Puck, you slept through something very important."
Puck perked up with a tinge of curiosity. "Why? What happened?" he asked.
But before Emilia could explain everything, Puck looked down. Since Emilia was leaning out the window, he could see what was happening outside. He saw that everyone was huddled together as if they were sewn together. But he eyed several individuals that looked out of place. He leaned out and saw part of the ground was burned, a few buildings were destroyed or torn down, and part of the wall far away was also brought down to the ground.
'Did we get sieged while we were sleeping?' Puck wondered, but he shook his head.
"Lia, tell me, I'm listening," Puck said.
Emilia began to recount everything. Starting from the sages' warning about the threat of Judgment Day, to the giant red demi-human, whose identity she didn't know, delivering a testament about this Judgment Day. The testament stated that Judgment Day is a day when the god's hammer would fall upon us all, shattering the land and unleashing an unstoppable army. The only option was to prepare for it. The overlord, described as a woman who saved all of humanity but sacrificed herself, was also mentioned.
Emilia continued to relay everything to Puck. The sages armed everyone for battle. Suddenly, a portal opened, and several men emerged. She described the battle, the red skies, black clouds, and colossal pitch-black demi-humans. She recounted Reinhard's intervention and the terrifying sight of one of the foreign soldiers disposing of the colossal demi-humans. They were falling one by one, consumed by fire.
She then said that everything seemed to be fine, as it all appeared to have ended.
Puck didn't seem to show much reaction to all that information. "Lia, are you harmed anywhere or did you have to face this army?" Puck asked out of concern. Emilia shook her head. "I didn't. Roswaal asked me to stay here and not fight anyone unless in self-defense." Puck nodded, making a sound of acknowledgment on Roswaal's decisions.
However, Puck decided to examine the situation rather than just glancing, and he looked down. "Lia? They sure don't seem to fit in with any country I know of. I'd say they are from beyond the waterfall. Quite the mystery, isn't it?" Puck said.
"Look at 'em, Lia. All decked out in grey steel, chest plate armor and steel pauldrons just so, the rest is chainmail. And those symbols, golden crosses they are, shining bright on their armor. Each one's got a sword or a spear, too. They sure do have the look of knights about 'em, don't they?" he listed their appearance, which told him nothing about what, where, or even who they are. At best, it told him their occupation, which was a knight or at least a soldier.
And it seems that's not the only thing they have in common. All the foreign knights were quite tall, at least two meters, taller than most Lugunicans, basically giants. 'Could it be they were all demi-humans?' Puck wondered.
He looked at the crowd and noticed a flag similar to the knights' symbols, but with a red background and black cross. The flag was held by a man sitting on a large, wheeled chair, surrounded by five knights. Behind him, a woman in a green robe, suit and tie, and a cylindrical hat with a ponytail attachment was reading a children's book, looking puzzled. She also had a large pouch on her hip. Despite her odd clothing, he didn't pay much attention to it.
He thought for a second about the uniqueness of the weird chair having wheels that both the flagbearer and the knights circling said flagbearer had. 'Maybe his "weird chair" is some kind of carriage pulled by men or a vehicle of some kind.'
Puck turned to Emilia. "Lia, where are those colossal demi-humans you mentioned? I don't see 'em anywhere," Puck asked.
"W-well, Puck, they… they turned into dust," Emilia responded hesitantly.
Puck listened but sincerely had no idea. 'Nothing living just turns into dust. Perhaps they were great spirits in the form of demi-humans, but they didn't spew out mana when they got hurt, at least, judging from how his daughter described it.'
But Puck let go of this wonder and turned to Emilia.
"Lia, you must be tired if you've been up the entire night," Puck said.
Emilia shook her head. "Puck, I… I just can't rest knowing there are people out there being treated so unfairly."
Emilia turned around to head downstairs—
"Emilia-sama. Roswaal-sama strongly advises you to stay here," Rem said.
Emilia turned to face her. "Rem, I need to help those people who are being treated unfairly. I can't just stay here and watch… not anymore."
Rem closed her eyes and bowed deeply. "Take care of yourself, Emilia-sama," Rem said.
Emilia nodded and began to walk downstairs to the streets. However, she felt a slight anxiety, a fear stirred by the sight of that foreign soldier that burned those colossal demi-humans.
'Would he do the same to me?'
She looked into the sea of compacted citizens. She tried to walk where there was a lot of space, which was behind those foreign knights, but the foreign knights, being taller than most, if not everybody, saw her trying to sneak through and blocked her with his sword. He then forced her to back up as he pointed his sword to her neck while shaking his head, as if telling her not to do whatever she was planning to do. When she was backed up just enough to stick with the crowd, the foreign knight returned to the same spot to overwatch everybody.
She somewhat felt glad yet upset… oddly… for the first time somebody treated her like the rest—
'My daughter, now that's a scary way to perceive things,' Puck said to her telepathically.
'P-puck?! Oh, silly me, how could I have forgotten,' she said telepathically to Puck.
Puck, seemingly unresponsive to her being surprised, said, 'You scare me. Don't do anything risky, Lia. Those knights don't seem to joke around.'
'Don't worry, Puck, I will be more careful,' she responded.
She looked behind her onto one of the buildings… An imaginary light bulb appeared in her mind.
(I reread the entire lore of my OC world, and the overlord's knights or elite knights/soldiers from now on i will refer them as Crusaders, my mistake for refering them wrongly because, i didnt read my own stories and such for a long time, always focused writing this. anyways, they will be referred as such if from the point of view of the overlord or anyone that knows my OC world, otherwise they will be referred as foreign knights or overlord's knights, obvliously, this isnt the only mistake, but eh, you'll notice. Also, crusaders in this context are all footsoldiers, not knights.)
The Overlord, whose real name should not be mentioned except for his species' name 'Overlord' or any other title, as etiquette has dictated since history began.
The Overlord sat on his bike, pondering his next move. He glanced at his walkie-talkie.
'Judgement day isn't over yet. I should get more men and stronger weapons'
He looked up at the sky. The sun, which would usually blind, did not. At first glance, it appeared like a normal sun, but upon closer inspection, it was square, indicating the author's influence was still present.
The Overlord continued searching the sky for something else. There it was, just a tiny dot periodically blinking a red light; anyone would think it was a star, but in reality, it was something much more dangerous and important. 'The Dropship is good for reinforcing and bringing more weapons, but not good for bringing entire armies,' the Overlord thought. He turned to face the messenger behind him, who was furiously scribbling notes, seemingly trying to understand the language before her.
He nudged her with his elbow. Startled, she quickly composed herself. "Yes, my lord?" she asked, still holding the book he had lent her.
"Return to the portal; it should let you through during intervals. Tell the head commander to bring in the Knights," the Overlord instructed.
"Should Uber Knights or Castle Knights also be involved?" the messenger asked.
The Overlord touched his chin. "No, they exist to protect the castle; they don't know how to protect a kingdom."
"Yes, my lord. I suppose Musketeers are unsuitable too?" she asked.
"Musketeers are raiders or siegers. They also don't know how to defend a kingdom," he replied.
"I have an idea. Bring in the sappers, Mikuns, and Bulwarks, and… I think I'll add to the current soldiers we have with the Heavy Elite Crusaders. I didn't expect beastmen to be participating from the get-go," he continued.
"My lord, why didn't you expect them to participate from the start?" she inquired.
"That's because not every Judgement Day is the exact same. If you read from the first testament to the fifth testament, you'll notice that each Judgement Day is different, though they are quite familiar," he explained.
The Overlord revved his bike, the knights around him noticing the signal. They mounted their own bikes, ready to maintain formation. He was about to move forward but stopped, picking up his walkie-talkie. "Commander, have the Crusaders disperse the militias. I don't want the useless militias all squeezed—"
A woman's voice sounded in the air, loud and clear but soft and kind.
(no need to translate this one)
"私は日本語が話せないので、これはエミリアが彼らを公平—"
The Overlord looked up to see her. She was leaning out from a balcony, a woman with grey… no, silver hair, purple eyes, and two pointy ears.
"—に扱うことについて話しているところだと想像してください!"
It seemed directed at the Overlord. Whatever she was saying sounded like gibberish at best, but he understood her meaning.
'I'm treating them unfairly? Well, thank you! I was going to tell my Crusaders to allow the crowd to disperse anyway,' the Overlord thought.
He continued speaking into the radio, ignoring her. "As I was saying, I don't want them all squeezed together; it's hard to drive through," he said.
"Yes, my lord." The radio clicked off.
"MEN, ALLOW THOSE PEOPLE TO DISPERSE! WE DON'T NEED THEM ANYMORE LIKE THAT!" the commander shouted, not too far from the Overlord.
The Crusaders relayed the commander's orders down the line, shouting until it reached those stationed far away, tasked with defending other parts of the capital. (Yes, that's how I resolved the problem of having only one commander and an army of billions, lmao. Probably in history, it's already done that way, but I'm pretty proud to have come up with something like this on my own.)
The Crusaders then turned to their side and signaled with their hands for the crowd to move, indicating they were allowed to pass. The crowd took the chance to finally breathe properly and find more comfortable space as they moved past the Crusaders. The Crusaders watched the dispersing crowd with wary expressions under their helmets.
The Overlord looked up at the silver-haired woman again. 'Is that who I think it is?' He felt a wave of déjà vu.
'Ah, it's her, I see. Re
's main heroine,' he recalled. 'Eh, I only remember the title and page cover. I even used its title to send Khan here. What a cool send-off, pretty proud of that.' (To isekai someone, you must have read a volume of the story at least once.)
He looked into the back of his mind, trying to recall something. 'Ooh. So that's who that woman with green hair was. Now I remember who she is.'
Suddenly, a memory resurfaced out of nowhere. He touched the side of his head, embarrassed. He remembered speaking like a broken radio when he first entered this world, trying to distract everyone while the dropship deployed. He chuckled. 'Well, I'll remember this for centuries to come.'
Emilia looked surprised, seemingly not expecting the Overlord to accept her request so quickly. Or at least, that's what it seemed like, as in reality, the Overlord had already planned to let the crowd disperse.
As the crowd scattered, the Overlord revved his bike again. The unfamiliar sound startled the onlookers, and with the Five Sacred Crusaders, they followed him without breaking formation.
He picked up his radio and dialed the commander. "Hey, Commander."
"I need you to tell your elite soldiers and super-soldiers to prepare for a new addition to your forces. You will be getting Heavy Crusaders and Heavy Elite Crusaders under your command now," he instructed.
"How cruel you are to my sanity. But yes, my lord," the commander replied, standing outside the protective circle of bodyguards on their bikes.
The Overlord turned to face him. "Oh, you're right there," he said, switching off the radio. "Since you are already here, how are the super-soldiers exploring the backlines?"
The commander responded, "They are doing a good job scouting the backlines. They have acquired a world map from the kingdom's castle and encountered some old men and many armed opponents, but so far, they haven't faced serious trouble, mainly because they infiltrated through stealth and took out opponents by surprise." He gestured toward the distant castle for a brief moment as he continued to explain the situation.
The Overlord nodded. "Did your men kill any of them?"
The commander shook his head.
"Good, it wouldn't have been beneficial to win if they did," the Overlord said.
They finally stopped in front of the spiraling portal—the very thing that connected this world to theirs. The messenger dismounted and began to walk toward the portal with the intent to pass through it. Meanwhile, a massive horde of Crusaders also began re-entering the portal.
Suddenly, the Overlord grabbed her arm. She quickly turned her head to face him.
"Bring in the Bloody Maiden too."
She widened her eyes slightly, her lips lightly sealed. "A… Are you sure, my lord? She is quite old and…" she hesitated.
The Overlord interrupted her.
"Just because she is old doesn't mean that she can't fight. Bring her in." Then he raised an eyebrow and looked away for a moment. "Bring the Valkyries' backup too," he added, letting go of her wrist.
"It shall be done, my lord." The messenger turned toward the portal and walked through it.
The Overlord leaned against the head of his bike, supporting his head with a furrowed brow.
'Those girls with jetpacks probably won't die in the second wave. Although, if they do, it would be highly demoralizing,' he muttered to himself.
The sound of Wolperionen's footsteps echoed as he jogged toward the enormous tree, the encampment around it he referred to as a safe house, carrying Khan, who was torn in half and unconscious.
Upon entering the safe house, a Beastman with a medical cross on her shoulder signaled for him to follow. As Wolperionen approached, she simply requested that Khan be handed over. Complying, he watched as she disappeared into the tree through a door that seemed to be carved directly from the trunk.
Wolperionen attempted to follow her, but the entrance, which at first appeared to be a cave large enough for a Beastman, quickly proved inaccessible. Another Beastman with a medical cross tapped his shoulder, indicating that he would remove the heavy ballista bolt impaled in his chest.
Although Wolperionen thought the bolt wasn't embedded deeply—since he barely felt it—he tried to push past the other Beastman to see Khan. However, the Beastman grabbed his wrist and motioned for him to follow.
As he was led to a different part of the camp, Wolperionen took the opportunity to examine his surroundings. He looked up at the colossal tree, craning his neck so much it hurt. Having spent his life observing animals much smaller or about the same size as him, he estimated that several, even hundreds, of Beastmen could live within the tree if they built floors inside.
The enormous tree was surrounded by wooden walls built by the other Beastmen, just slightly taller than him. A slight elevation would provide a view over the walls, and there was ample space between the walls and the tree for numerous Beastmen to gather. Triple machine guns, essentially three miniguns merged into one, were mounted at strategic points on the walls. These weapons were typically reserved for the Bullet Rain division, but it seemed the Beastmen had acquired and brought them here. He had many questions, but they would have to wait.
Bullets and weapons of various calibers were in abundance, but there were no rations, sleeping equipment, or other essentials for a prolonged stay—though perhaps those were inside the tree.
"What's your name? Mine is Wolperionen," he asked the Beastman with the medical cross.
The Beastman turned around while still walking and gestured, "My name is Dod."
"Dod?" Wolperionen inquired, to which Dod nodded.
Upon reaching their destination, Dod instructed him to sit on a bench. As Dod examined the wound, he asked if it was painful. Wolperionen was unsure; he could feel the arrow, but it also felt numb. It had initially hurt as it penetrated his armor, pelt, hide, and the natural steel layers of his skin, just like it would for any other Beastman.
"I'm not sure. I can feel it, but I also can't," Wolperionen admitted.
Dod pondered for a moment before directing, "Take a deep breath. The battle must have given you a lot of adrenaline."
As Wolperionen complied, he was suddenly gripped by a sharp, piercing pain in his chest, as if a lightning bolt had struck him from within, leaving him breathless. The pain subsided almost immediately, leaving him momentarily immobilized before he could move normally again. This was enough for Dod to confirm that the arrow was indeed lodged in Wolperionen's flesh.
The arrow could not be simply yanked out, as it was embedded deeply in the flesh. Removal would have been simpler if it had been lodged in the hide or steel layer of the skin.
Dod, equipped with a large pump powered by a solar energy bank, held a fine nozzle—a waterjet cutter. He approached Wolperionen, gripping the collar of his armor. With precision, he maneuvered the waterjet to cut around the area where the ballista bolt had pierced the armor.
Dod methodically shaped the cut into a square, then made additional cuts from the corners toward the center, effectively removing the damaged piece. The arrow, once encased in sturdy armor, was now exposed, surrounded only by the tough skin of the Beastmen.
He then used a set of tools to gently widen the wound, making the extraction of the bolt easier. Employing an oversized arrow puller designed for ballista bolts, he carefully extracted the bolt from Wolperionen's chest. The wound was then promptly packed with gauze to control the bleeding.
Dod covered the hole with a bandage. "It will heal in a year, but if Khan will wake up with magic healing instantly," he gestured.
Wolperionen was taken back how he casually said that, as if Khan was simply having a nap, and not half-ripped apart "I know that this is a non-lethal injury, but aren't you worried in the slightest? If he will make it out?" Wolperionen asked
Dod shrugged and started gesturing "I would somewhat, but everyone knows that he's the Hero of all beastmen, he been through worse ordeals than getting his body torn in half, he also would probably just get it togheter with magic'
Wolperionen stood up out of the blue. The gauze did nothing to help him breathe but prevented further bleeding. He walked toward the entrance of the enormous tree and entered.

Inside, the tree had been carved out to create space. At its center, the heart of the tree remained intact, reinforced with artificial supports to prevent collapse. Wolperionen had no idea about the physics of these supports but mentally shrugged it off.
His main concern was finding Khan. There were two Beastmen tending to him; they had already addressed the fact that he was torn in half, as they closed it off.
"Will Khan be alright?" Wolperionen asked.
"He'll be alright. This is a non-lethal injury," one of the Beastmen gestured.
"So—" Wolperionen started to say but was interrupted as the Beastman grabbed his shoulder.
"However, we have no prosthetics. Khan can't fight, and we have nothing here to make prosthetics," the Beastman gestured.
Wolperionen was silent for a moment before an idea struck him. "We need to go back," he said.
The other Beastman tilted his head slightly.
"We need to go to Lugunica, that kingdom," Wolperionen explained, dragging the Beastman by the wrist. The Beastman stumbled a bit to keep up.
But the other beastman just formed a fist and smacked him in the side of his head and Wolperionen let go and he turned around, then the other beastmen gestured "You idiot, just because khan would be fine doesnt mean i can leave him alone, pick somebody else to talk to" She said as she loosed her arms to the side
Wolperionen still reeling from the impact of her fist, shook his head and looked at her just turning around and left him alone to tend Khan.
Wolperionen picked up a beastmen besides him and dragged him, then he pointed to a distant, faintly visible location
"Mansion?" the other Beastman wondered.
Wolperionen glanced at him and said, "No, no. Look a bit to the right. The kingdom—we need to go there. We can get out of here once and for all and return to our world."
…
"Sounds good to me, but isn't it dangerous? Going through that kingdom with so few numbers—" the Beastman began.
Wolperionen pushed him lightly. "Who cares? We need to reach that portal, get Khan back into shape, and return to our world. I don't care what happens; we must get back!" Wolperionen said frantically.
"Through the portal, we go back to our world? Why are you telling only me? Tell everyone," the Beastman gestured.
Wolperionen nodded and walked away to inform the other Beastmen.
'We're going in, no matter what happens. We're going back to our world. I don't care about participating in this Judgement Day,'
he growled quietly.
As Roswaal soared back to his mansion and landed in front of the entrance, he adjusted his top hat, cape, and clothes. Clearing his throat, he donned the same broad grin that always accompanied him.
He opened the door and stepped inside, taking a few measured steps while surveying his surroundings. The mansion smelled of its usual musty air, the sound of his boots and chains echoing through the entrance.
'Odd… the mansion feels empty. If only I knew what I was truly up against, I would have brought them with me too,' Roswaal thought, biting his lip as he advanced further into the entrance.
"Ram?" he called out, his voice carrying through the grand hall.
…
…
.
A thought crept into his mind. 'Could it be… No.'
He began to ascend the stairs and move down the corridors.
'No intrusions, nothing broken. If Judgment Day were here, they would have torn the entire mansion apart. But… where is Ram?' he wondered, tracing his fingers along the wooden window frames and the brick walls as he walked.
"RAM!" he shouted, his voice reverberating through the corridors.
…
…
.
"RAAM!" he called out again, his voice growing more urgent.
Then it occurred to him, 'I don't sense their mana… or rather, there's no mana signature anywhere in this mansion… not even Beatrice's.'
He shook his head. 'Maybe Beatrice concealed their mana signatures.'
He continued to search the mansion, moving through each room and corridor. Empty. Silent. All the while, he periodically called out Ram's or Beatrice's name.
…
…
…
…
…
.
After what felt like an eternity, he had scoured every inch of the mansion, opening every door. Exhausted, he leaned against the wall and slowly slid down to sit on the ground.

'Not even Beatrice's forbidden library is here… What happened? Where are they? The mansion wasn't attacked… there are no signs of intrusion, nothing that indicates what could have occurred… yet, no signs of Ram or Beatrice anywhere, no blood… absolutely nothing.' He leaned forward and rubbed his forehead in frustration.
Eventually, he stood up and made his way to his office, taking a seat at his desk. Everything appeared unchanged from when he had last left.
He walked over to a precious book gifted to him by Echidna, which foretold his destiny. He opened it.
Two hours.
The Judgement will begin
Ready or not
They will ascend from the clouds
Prepare before the trumpets sing
As they will fertilize the ground in red
Until the end of the day.
As he read, his eyes widened in shock. 'T-The Judgement Day hasn't ended yet?' he thought, a mix of fear and disbelief overtaking him.
'Why is everything so calm…? Is this the calm before the storm? Does that mean the Judgement Day hasn't ended at all?'
Then a memory resurfaced in his mind, that red demi-human's words.
"Driving her, humanity, and all the other animals brought them to the corners of the world.
As the tired beasts, humans, and the overlord.
Fought to their teeth for 23 hours.
Beastmen Kings, Beastmen, Humans, tripods, titan wo—"
'23 hours…' Roswaal thought to himself.
'H-h… it has only been 7 hours, and we thought we had won, that everything was over. Nothing has ended yet…' He placed the tome back on the desk.
Then he started to claw his fingers to the desk 'Echidna's plan, it was all going well, everything was going as dictated, but what happened? Why it all came to this
'Ram… Beatrice, I hope you two are hiding well, because I don't see or feel either of you. But I trust that you are capable enough to stay hidden… I hope nothing has happened to either of you.' he thought anxiously as he headed back toward the entrance.
Eventually, he reached the entrance room.
He let out an internal sigh, knowing it was only a faint hope. He opened the door and took to the skies once more.
On the other side of another world, the Crusaders and other personnel awaited orders. They were sitting idly, merely on standby. Several portals connected to different parts of the wretched world on the other side.
Two Crusaders sat next to each other, resting their backs against their chairs, clad in armor and armed with their swords.
"We've been waiting 60 hours here. I wonder what they're doing. Plus, the morning just arrived," crusader 1 remarked, glancing at the slowly rising sun.
The crusader 2 shrugged. "I heard they're fighting Judgment Day with the Overlord."
The crusader 1 waved his hand dismissively. "Yeah, yeah, I know, but why not us? We also fought Khan and his battalions or whatever fuck fest was that two months ago. Fortunately, we had the spears for it, even though many of us fell."
The crusader 2 shrugged again. "My condolences then. I didn't participate in that battle. But I heard the Overlord came to the rescue, right?"
The crusader 1 nodded but there was an easing silence as the other troops chatted with eachother on whatever topic they had in mind.
but after awhile, the crusader 1 sighed. "Oh, come on, do we have to stand here all day? 200 hours is an entire day of doing nothing if our purpose is just standing here."
The crusader 2 said, "Eh, not my fault that the sun is painfully slow. But hey, consider it guard duty. After all, 60 hours is the same amount of time for guard duty," he said, shaking his head.
They both sighed
The crusader 1 sighed. "Anyways, do you have any news about the mission to hunt the last soldier Beastmen?"
The crusader 2 replied, "Well, there are about a thousand soldier Beastmen left. After Khan died two months ago, the Beastmen became a horde of deranged animals with too much intelligence for their own good," he said, cackling.
But he stopped as he shifted to him, with a slighty more serious tone. "However, the last thousand ones while they are pitifuly small compared to our numbers of millions and billions, they aren't regular beastmen.."
he leaned in, and he whispered "Rumors that saw those beastmen, said that they might be Khan's children"
"..what? He has children?" The crusader 1 responded, which caused the other to lean back as he chuckled.
"Well, you didn't think he spent a thousand years as a virgin, did you?" crusader2 said sassily
Thecrusader 1 sighed "Well, what about his children?"
The crusader2 said "They are essentially all built like Khan, the daughters are even bigger than Khan as like other beastmen, about 7 or 8 meters high and the sons are the type of beastmen to be an passive hyper-aggressivity"
The crusader1's eyeslit rose, questioning the statement. "What do you mean?"
Crusader2 pondered for a moment "Well, you know hyper-aggressive beastmen right? Super fast, super strong and reckless? those are the rare kind of beastmen" to which the crusader1 nodded.
The other one nodded back "Basically, these guys have all the advantages but they never get fucking tired"
The crusader1 then said "Well, that's.. quite advantageous... for them."
After a second of silence.
The crusader1 then said "So, the female beastmen break any record for beastman height, which always been at 6 meters so that means they are stronger now. And now the males are all hyper aggressive beastmen that are super strong and are super fast but they don't get tired?"
crusader1 sighed "That's ridiculous..."
The crusader2 leaned back in his chair and put both hands behind his head. "But hey, it's only a matter of time before this thousand-year war ends, a thousand Khans surely can't stop all of us. And then… what happens then?" he said, turning to the other Crusader.
The other crusader rattled his head for a second.
Crusader 1 memory flashed and turned to crusader2"Well, as the Overlord said; 'Beastmen are pretty important in the ecosystem'. Making them go extinct will cause more problems in the long run. So the other Beastmen who aren't soldiers are going to be released into the wild. Actually, they are already being released into the wild," the other Crusader explained.
The crusader 2 looked at him. "Really? They are that important? Well, I guess they have a richer history and have been around the world since the beginning, I can imagine," he said, leaning forward and clasped his own hands together.
Then, through one of the several portals, a woman in green robes and a cylindrical hat with a ponytail emerged—a messenger.
The two Crusaders stood up at the sight of her, but before they could approach, they were pushed aside by a horde of Crusaders eager to hear the messenger's news.
"Messenger, what are your—" "Tell us what the lord's orders are—" "I want to see Judgment Day—" "Let me fight with—" "What is that world like? Let me see—" "The reward, I want to have it too—" "What animals do they have there—"
"QUIET DOWN!" the Messenger shouted through a megaphone, her voice cutting through the chaotic din.
She sighed as the crowd reluctantly kept a certain distance from her. "Alright," she said, rubbing her temples.
She brought the megaphone to her lips. "THESE ARE THE ORDERS OF THE OVERLORD: SAPPERS, MIKUNS, BULWARK, GIANT ELITE CRUSADERS, THE BLOODY MAIDEN, AND THE VALKYRIES' GUARDIANS!"
"W-wait, so we aren't coming too?" the additional Crusaders, Elite Crusaders, and Giant Crusaders asked in unison, while the other divisions grumbled quietly.
She shook her head and crossed her arms. "No, you aren't coming. Only those mentioned will be going."
They all sighed internally and turned around to sit back down with crossed arms.
"Wait, the Bloody Maiden?"
Meanwhile, the mentioned individuals were already entering the portal.
One of the Giant Elites turned to them and said, "Sucks to be you," he said while cackling.
One of the Crusaders retorted, "Shut up, you giant sack of cholesterol."
The Giant Elite responded, "Ooh, did I make the little midget angry? Well, toodles." he said while entering the portal backwards and holding up the middle finger.
As the selected forces and soldiers streamed into the portal, the scene was as follows:
The Giant Elites: Russians standing at 3 meters tall who wield war hammers but wear no breastplate armor for fashion statement (Is it a stupid idea? Yes. Do i think its cool? Yes). Their role as russian giants is to tackle other similiarly giant threats.
Sappers: Regular humans wearing simple muskeeters uniforms with gears and satched to carry their tools or equipments. they are Supportive members who fix things, set traps, manage weapons, tents, and anything related to supporting the soldiers.
Mikuns: Same style as the muskeeters uniforms just with medical crosses on their arms. Very few in number, these magic casters specialize in healing but can also perform other magical tasks.
The Valkyries' Guardians: Flying women with jetpacks who carry large machine guns with high ammunition. Their purpose is to serve as living assault helicopters, because actual helicopters are expensive, and people are cheaper.
...
Then arrived the Bloody Maiden, dragging an exaggeratedly oversized sword tall as a house along the floor. She wore a large cloak that concealed her physique except for her head and her spartan-styled sandals. "Well, well, it seems I have to fight on Judgment Day," she chuckled to herself. "How cruel of you, I just turned 40 and I'm 2 years away from retirement, and you send me to death row like this," she said with a touch of amusement.
She licked her lips. "I wonder if the soldiers of Judgment Day do bleed? Hm, I wonder," she said with a broad smile.
Out of the blue, a member of the Valkyries' Guardians landed next to the Bloody Maiden. "Oh hey, big sis," she said, waving.
The Bloody Maiden turned to her 'Who in the hell is this girl? Well, i don't like getting called like that' she looked . She wore the standard Valkyries' uniform and gear, including a heat and fireproof long coat that dragged on the ground to protect her legs while flying. However, it also dragged on the ground when walking. She had large goggles for a wide field of vision during flight.
"Hmhmm, don't call me 'Big Sis,' it sounds weird," she grumbled.
She cleared her throat. "Call me Bea instead, it sounds better," she said to the Valkyrie.
The Valkyrie sighed and then had an idea. "Alright… what about 'Big Bea'?" she suggested with a giggle.
Bea made a face of disgust. "Ugh, no… Oh gosh, that sounds even worse," she said.
"Or 'Big Brother'? You're big like a man."
"What? No—"
"Or 'Giant Brother'—"
Bea tapped the Valkyrie's mouth with her hand. "Look, I don't want to hear it anymore. Just fly into the portal… now." she commanded with a deadpan expression, pointing at the portal.
'Surely being for so long in the army and gaining a title but having no actual authority because the Overlord deemed me not suitable for commanding is a bum' Bea sighed and shrugged 'Well, i guess i don't have to bear any serious and complex responsibilities, atleast that'
The Valkyrie chuckled and entered the portal with Bea, the Bloody Maiden.
Then the valkyrie asked "Sooo, how are you gonna fight the Judgement day Bea?"
Bea scuffed, the answer was obvious "Well, just punch them in the face!" She said joyously
As both passed by the Messenger who overheard their conversation, she had a look of judging them but they didnt pay attention.
As they entered the giant portal, as the messenger remembered the reports of rejected recruits for commanding roles, her memory flickered to 'Bea the bloody maiden' With a giant red stamp, written in bold 'REJECTED', and after overhearing Bea's plan to fight the judgement day, she thought 'No wonder why you aren't in command' She thought to herself
...
Meanwhile, at the rear of the vast assembly of soldiers awaiting deployment or being directed into the portal, a lone figure sat inside a tent at the center of the camp. His sword rested casually against a piece of furniture beside him. He reclined in a well-crafted ergonomic chair, looking unusually comfortable amid the preparations. Unlike the other Crusaders clad in chainmail and breastplates, he wore full plate armor adorned with various religious and French symbols. His once-red cape was tattered and frayed, giving a sense of neglect, and a constant flame-like magic danced in his right eye.
He unstrapped his helmet and placed it on the table next to him. His left eye, no longer glowing with intensity, settled into a more subdued state.
He reached for a wine cup, pouring a modest amount of fine wine, and took a thoughtful sip.
His mind drifted back to a memory from two months prior.
He recalled sitting as the enemy breached their defenses, his men engaged in fierce combat with a horde of beastmen—uncivilized, pitiful creatures. "In the name of the supremely mighty author and our mighty overlord, we shall slay all those uncivillized beast once for all" he had bellowed before leading his men into the fray.
After several sips, he finished his wine and leaned back, awaiting his own turn in the battle.
Then another crusader, just a regular soldier, entered his tent.
"General-"
"Is it time i get into the fray by the Overlord's order?" He spoke before the crusader could finish his sentence.
"No General, it is not." the crusader
"Then i don't want to hear it" The general said
The crusader nodded and left the tent and the curtains closed on their own.
[Another side of the same world]
Somewhere else, there was a war waging, in the heart of the night, where dysfunctional chaos and uncertainity reigned instead of peace and rest.
there was a mighty tower, it occupied a few hundrens meters onto the ground, but reached for the skies. in architecture, it was extremely aggressive, it's appearance was enough to scare the fearless and the brave, and from the top of the tower, it hanged down the symbol and banner of the Kingdom of Beastmen. The ones on top of the tower were the last remaining soldier Beastmen stood their final moments. They setup their machineguns and alot of the female beastmen beated down the stairs, in an attempt to make the stairs collapse so the crusaders would be able to get up easily
However, it wasn't deserted, it was sorrounded by hundren, millions, billions and infinite tsunamis of humans bearing crusader's symbols. They bore no weapons, but only torches or flame based weaponry. The ground was an sea of fire everyone's torches didn't let an ounce of darkness creep in, the greatest threat to beastmen and the best friend of Man.
it was the overlord's decisive and unstoppable strike, nicknamed [THE OVERLORD'S EXTINCTION HAMMER]
As the beastmen readied their machineguns and the female beastmen successfully took down the stairs as they collapsed to the ground.
The humans started to roar their anger towards the Beastmen and the skies, from the genocide of entire populations.
All the countries who were slaughtered by the Khan Godra's army were taking their revenge under the name and support of the Overlord, which includes: United States, Russia, India, Brazil, Canada, Australia, Germany, United Kingdom, Mexico, South Korea, Spain, Italy, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Indonesia, Turkey, Argentina, Egypt, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Switzerland, New Zealand, Iceland, the Philippines, Madagascar, Pakistan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Israel, Iraq, Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas.
The Overlord has taken refugee of all these nations, for this one all out attack that he has been preparing for 700 years.
"YOU KILLED MY FATHER, ILL BUTCHER YOU FROM INSIDE OUT AND FEED YOU TO THE PIGS"
"You have killed my grandma, but don't worry, ill drag you down to hell even if i have to go to."
"Your conquest for domination has come to an end. Now die the way you lived, as an worthless pig."
"Buddha will condemn me for this cause, however, i must avenge my mom"
However, most of the voices were that of unrestrained fury and anger, often shouting unintelligently or spouting non-sense out of the human burning desire of revenge.
meanwhile, on top of the tower, despite the bombastic and chaotic sea beneath the tower, on top of the tower there was an silence, only the sound of human's anger could be heard, this was due to the fact Beastman despite their gigantic nature, they were 'vocally' timid, so they didn't make much sound.
But despite the silence, the machineguns were spraying onto the sea of angry humans.
Meanwhile somewhere else, Ram was perched on a giant boulder she had found while sprinting across the grassland, finding temporary safety as the serpentine creature couldn't attack her through the hard surface of the rock.
Sweat poured from her, and she was struggling to catch her breath. Normally, a run wouldn't leave her winded, but she hadn't used her mana to ease her movement, conserving it instead. This made climbing the rock, despite its sloped surface, quite a challenge. Fortunately, she now had time to think clearly.
'I devised a perfect plan. It was simple: use other objects to mislead or disorient the creature. Thankfully, it worked; the beast was foolish enough to be tricked repeatedly by the same ruse. I even tried using the muddy area filled with disgusting worms, which I called my safe spot. Apparently, the creature is repulsed by mud, but it has no problem slithering through dirt and grass for some reason.'
She sighed and scanned the grassy expanse, squinting to see farther.
'Nothing… I don't see them anywhere,' she thought.
In the distance, something seemed to reach up to the sky, so thin and tall it appeared to touch the heavens. It was unlike anything she had seen before.
'There's no way I can get there on foot. It seems even farther away than the Flugel tree… No, it looks infinitely farther than the Flugel tree,' she mused, holding her chin in contemplation.
Shaking her head, she refocused on the grasslands, trying to locate the two men. From afar, the terrain appeared flat, like the area she had just left, but closer inspection revealed it to be uneven, with numerous bumps, small hills, and plenty of blind spots. The giant boulder offered no real advantage in spotting them.
'I thought this vantage point would help me see dangers early, but I was wrong,' she thought.
'It's too late to turn back now. The forest is too dangerous, and those bushes are no comfort,' she added.
After resting on the boulder for a while, she took a deep breath to muster her courage.
'I need to conserve mana as much as possible, but I can't just run aimlessly. If I could connect to a flying animal, it would be easier to spot those two,' she thought, crossing her arms.
She looked up at the sky, trying to avoid directly facing the sun. After some time, she still couldn't spot any birds or other flying creatures.
She groaned quietly. 'I should use clairvoyance sparingly and to its fullest potential.'
Closing her eyes, she extended her clairvoyance, connecting to the animals nearby.
She sensed a beast moving through the woods, another animal feeding on a carcass, insects munching on fruit, and something traveling in the area. Despite her efforts, she couldn't find a single flying animal.
Frustrated, she clicked her tongue. 'Wasted mana for nothing.'
She looked down at the ground. 'Maybe that creature is lurking under this boulder, waiting for me. It was tricked before but isn't foolish enough to let me escape… No, that would be just what a stupid creature would do,' she reasoned.
Laying back on the rock, she recovered her energy, but a strange feeling nagged at her. On the boulder, she felt safe but also noticed a sensation she couldn't quite place.
'Is it me, or does it feel like something is pressing me down?' she wondered, her breath heavy and labored. 'Is it because I used too much mana? No… I still have plenty left. Maybe it's just because I'm not used to running without using my mana.'
Despite her exhaustion, Ram remained clear-minded and sharp. Gathering the remaining rocks she carried for distracting the serpentine creature, she jumped down from the boulder with a firm thud on the grassy surface and resumed running.
The serpentine creature, noticing her movement, began slithering towards her with renewed speed. Ram dropped a rock behind her, and as she left it behind, the creature lunged out of the ground, leaping into the air before crashing back down.
Sweat soaked her maid uniform as she navigated the hills, carrying a bunch of rocks in her arms. She kept her eyes moving, trying to track their position.
'I could go up the hills, but it's not ideal right now; it might put me in more danger. Running up a hill would slow me down.'
The serpentine creature continued its pursuit. Ram distracted the creature by tossing rocks around her.
'Even if I managed to get up there, it would be useless. Standing still would be too risky.'
She imagined that if she stopped to observe from the top of a hill, the serpentine creature would seize the opportunity to attack her.
'Definitely a bad idea,' she thought.
As she continued along the path created by the hills, one hill stood out with its irregular shape. Instead of a smooth slope, its side was uneven, but she was too focused on her escape to notice this detail.
She then hears something softly falling infront of her, some kind of chunk of dirt or anything that isn't too hard. Ram turned as she heard the thud of dirt hitting the ground and quickly shifted her gaze forward while running.
Suddenly, a colossal demi-human1 was erupted from the hill, leaving behind a pretty big hole.
The colossal demi-human1's massive hand swung at her. She used her mana to dodge to the side and roll away, narrowly avoiding the strike. The aftermath of the swing caused the wind to follow and flutter her maid dress and slightly force her to balance on her feet, fortunately, it was just a moment.
She looked back at the colossal demi-human1, she saw it covered in dirt, with a snout, ears, and glowing black eyes. Its green fur and vaguely muscular build, covered only by rags, made it appear as tall as a house. The colossal demihuman1 puffed smoke out of its nostrils, she couldn't tell what it meant, at its face is pretty much expressionelessly staring at her from the distance, just standing there menacingly.
The colossal demi-human1 noticed the serpentine creature underground and struck its claws into the ground, pulling it out. With its other hand, it tried to bite the creature, but the serpentine's body coiled around its neck.
Seizing the opportunity, Ram increased her distance from both the colossal demi-human1 and the serpentine creature. She dropped the rocks and stopped running, turning to watch.'There's no benefit in helping him. Better to leave him alone,' she decided, shaking her head before turning and continuing her escape.
Her eyes widened as she halted on the spot and looked up. One of his kin was standing right in front of her, and somehow she hadn't even noticed despite its colossal size. Her eyebrows furrows and she put her arm between herself and the giant.
But the colossal demi-human2 just walked over her without addressing her, and Ram stood there as she went through its legs. It went towards its fellow demi-human1, who was dealing with the serpentine creature coiled around its neck, presumably to help.
She sighed quietly. 'Good, I thought I had to fight him,' and she continued to run away.
Meanwhile, the colossal demi-human2 grabbed the serpentine's head and crushed it into a fine mist, causing the rest of the body to slump down and hang loosely on the colossal demi-human1.
The colossal demi-human2 glanced at Ram with an expressionless glare. Ram could feel the glare behind her back, but she continued to run away. Fortunately, the two colossal demi-human didn't chase after her and carried away the serpentine creature on their shoulders.
After a while, Ram gradually stopped, breathless. She looked behind her and saw the two colossals slowly moving around the hill with the serpentine creature on their shoulders, away from her. 'Were they wild animals, or are they actual demi-humans?' She thought as she looked up at the tall hill beside her. 'It seems I can finally go up there without complications, surely, I think, I hope,' she thought.
As she weighted her decisions, the grass weaved making a soft melody, strangely rhytmic, almost like footsteps..
Suddendly something wrapped around her waist with its fingers. She turned her head to face it, it was another of these colossal demi-humans.
"Drop me right now." Ram sternly demanded from the colossal demi-human, which in return just observed at her quietly.
Ram waited for a while, the demihuman didnt try to squeeze her or didnt seem to do anything other than staring at her, she attempted to pry free from its grip but pushing with her arms but didnt seem to do much. One of its sharp claw-like fingers reached out to her pink hair and lightly bounced it, Ram's eyelids dropped as she realized that this demi-human was curious.. perphaps perverted.
'Assuming thisseemingly demi-human creature is actually an animal, its likely the former.. i hope' She stayed idle, but she remained with furrowed eyebrows as she side eyed the demi-human.
She then hammer fisted the demi-human's fingers to break free, but as soon she did that, the demi-human's eyes slitted shut, from its nostrils spurted out a suffocating gush of air infront of her face, and raised her in the air and raised its fist in the air- Ram immediately put mana in her fists and slammed it down- breaking the giant demi human's fingers, prompting it to open its hands, and she jumped out landing onto a hill.
She inspected for a second, and she decided to climb the hill, shoes slipping on the slope, fingers digging into the grass. It wasn't so steep that she was essentially using a hazardous stair, but using all her limbs was definitely easier. At the moment, she wasn't exactly worried about staying clean—not that she was clean already, since she was filthy at the moment.
'Might as well overdo it since I'm already filthy as a pig,' she thought as she climbed the hill.
She looked back down, the giant demi-human seemed to have lost track of her, and walked away with a broken finger.
After a while, she reached the top and spun around on the spot. 'Ah, wonderful, I can see everything from up here,' she thought to herself as she squinted her eyes.
Her eyebrows furrowed as she saw a giant boulder that looked even bigger than a castle, albeit not as big as the Lugunica Royal Castle, at least 15 meters tall. The structures on top weren't too many; it looked like a small base. Various supports were attached to the ground, and that same green, white, and red flag fluttered on top of it, with a tower overseeing everything.
'Excellent, that has to be it. Now the trouble is walking to it,' she thought, as she looked at the possible path she could take.
She slid down from the hill and directed herself there, she smelled herself and she scrunched her nose
'I hope they have a shower..' she thought, and she scrambled her brain around 'And some way to replenish mana, some way or somehow'
[ADADADADDAADADADAD]
Meanwhile,
There were two crusaders on a tower, both in charge of guarding the perimeter of their outpost. They were chatting to each other, just passing time as their French flag fluttered in the wind, occasionally glancing around for anything unusual. The rectangular tower loomed over all the other structures in the outpost, with a stable foundation anchored to the boulder. Speaking of boulders, the boulder itself was firmly anchored to the ground, preventing it from rolling around. The other structures on the boulder served general military, medical, and refuge purposes, and the boulder is tall about 23 meters
"What about her, what did she tell you?" Crusader 1 asked his teammate.
Crusader 1 shrugged. "Well, she told me that I should replace my sword. It looks like a fossil."
Crusader 2 looked at his sword, rusted and dull, then looked back at his teammate. "Well, she's not entirely wrong. How are you even fighting with that?"
Crusader 1 shrugged. "I give tetanus to my enemies. It doesn't kill them instantly, but it does in the long run," he said, chuckling.
Crusader 2 scratched his head. "Yeah, genius plan," he said, glancing to the side to see if anything was happening around.
Then Crusader 2 jolted and leaned forward to the tower's ledge, and Crusader 1 copied his actions. "What is it!?" number one asked.
Crusader 2 picked up binoculars and zoomed in on the figure he saw.
"PINK-HAIRED CHILD WITH FILTHY, SKIMPY MAID CLOTHES!" Crusader 2 yelled.
"Wha-" Crusader 1 snatched the binoculars and looked where Crusader 2 was looking. After some adjustment, he saw her. "SHE'S A RICH WOMAN NOT A CHILD!" he yelled.
Crusader 2 then yelled into Crusader 1's ear. "WHAT KIND OF RICH WOMAN WEARS A MAID DRESS YOU IDIOT!"
Crusader 1 took a few side steps and covered his ear. "AND WHAT KIND OF CHILD WEARS MAID CLOTHES!" he yelled back
Crusader2 yelled "ILLEGAL CHILD LABOR WHAT THAT COULD BE?"
And the two stared at eachother for a while...
... Both sighed
Crusader2 then said "Alright, alright. Let's calm down, we got a job to do as soldiers. let's go save the child."
Crusader1 nodded already forgetting what happened, both crusaders picked up their helmets, put it on their heads, and strapped it under their chins. They turned around and jumped into a tube and started to roll down from the tower with a slide, and they bumped into each other. "Get your ass off my head, dumbass," Crusader 1 said.
Crusader 2 responded, "Your fault that you get stuck in slides, bucket head."
As they reached the bottom, they ran to the series of motorbikes parked there for everyone to use. They jumped on random bikes and revved up their engines but didn't go as a barrier blocked their path.
"Hey-hey! Where are you both going?" she asked, as she was responsible for the barrier.
Both Crusader 1 and 2, on their bikes, turned their heads to her. "We're going to save a child stranded over there," Crusader 2 said, pointing towards the direction.
Her expression softened as she looked in the direction. "A child? Who in their right mind would leave a child there?" she asked as she pressed a button, and the barrier lifted up, allowing the two to proceed.
"Zhank you, dear!" Crusader 2 said as he and Crusader 1 revved up their bikes. Their wheels kicked up dust as they jumped off the boulder, their bikes flying off the boulder with the intent to sprint towards the 'LOST CHILD or RICH WOMAN' As they soared through the air, Crusader 2 stood up on the bike, preparing for the impact of landing. Crusader 1 glued his body to the bike. As they landed, Crusader 2 was pretty much unaffected, but Crusader 1—
"Ah SHuCK!" Crusader 1 grumbled as he rode the bike towards the child.
"What's wrong?" Crusader 2 asked.
"That landing from the foocking boulder shattered my balls," Crusader 1 complained.
"You fucking idiot, there's a reason they teach you to stand up before you land!" Crusader 2 yelled.
"Now forget about your blue ball problem and focus on getting that child." crusader1 said.
And they rode at high speeds next to each other towards the child or rich woman
After a while, crusader1 while riding his bike towards her, it looked like it would take a while, as they aren't exactly clothe to eachother
"Hey, i say that she's a child that stole maid clothes."
Crusader2 while still looking at the road towards her, he responded "No you pedophile, she's a rich woman feinting to be a maid, i tell you"
"D-Im not a pedophile you scumbag! I don't want to get death sentenced in the Overlord Court!" Crusader1 yelled
"Well, right, sorry." crusader2 said waving his hand to him
"what in the world does it have anything to do with this now" crusader1 said
And the two took a few minutes to reach her.. while insulting eachother, and she stood there. And the two crusaders tried to talk with her but there was language barrier, but crusader2 gestured to sit on the passenger seat right behind where he sits by patting the spot, and she did so, and they rode back to the outpost

[CHECKPOINT 2/?]

...
meanwhile, Crusch and Felix being carried by Wilhelm, ran back to their camp. They expected their soldiers to be on guard there or atleast naively standby as they didn't come with them, but likely on guard as they likely saw what happened the entire time.
As they stepped down to ground again, Wilhelm let go Felix and Crusch. And they looked around and it was pretty much empty
"Where are my men? They should be here or atleast on guard" Crusch asked out loud
Wilhelm looked at her "Perphaps they are barricaded inside the mansion defending it, Crusch-sama" he said
She thought for a moment "Maybe. Doesn't matter, they are likely on guard. Wilhelm, go search for my men to see what they are doing" Wilhelm bowed with hand on his chest and walked toward the mansion, Crusch looked at Felix "Felix, come with me" she ordered with her hand gesturing to follow, "Ay Crusch-sama!" Felix followed Crusch
As Crusch and Felix went into the armory, as soon she opened the door-
There were those foreign knights sitting in her armory.
They were staring at her, there were four in total, they were either sitting on crates, tables or actual chairs while resting their blades besides them and their helmet's eyeholes furrowed, glaring at the Crusch and Felix. They were as usual as anyone from beyond the waterfall; gigantic in size, not as someone they know but they are undoubtably walking muscle-freaks in Crusch's eyes while as being quite tall as they needed to arch their head to look at their faces
Crusch furrowed her eyebrows with wide open eyes as she eyed the four of them, meanwhile Felix's eyebrows shot up
"Eh! Wha-" Felix was interrupted as Crusch pulled out her sword ready to fight
"You four dare to infiltrate my camp, and make yourself home here without my permission, knowledge or even courtesy? It's a death sentence infiltrating into candidate's camps!" (I assume since infiltrating the castle is death sentence, i think doing the same in throne candidate's camps is about the same thing)
Crusch kept her sword on guard between herself and the four foreign knights and took a few steps back to eye better the situation and Felix took a few steps back with Crusch too, and the four foreign knights picked up their swords and stood in a slouched but wide stance while keeping their swords to their sides.
"Felix, they don't look like they understand us. So heres what i suggest, i'll gauge their skill and strength, if they result way below my skill keep supporting me, if they are more than what i can take, go call Wilhelm" Crusch instructed and Felix nodded "Ay Crusch-sama" and Felix took a few more steps back
The four foreign knights stood there idly as if they are waiting for Crusch to make the first move.
She raised her sword and pointed at them
"Come forth to your death!" She said.

(I want to wrap up this chapter as i want to get my hands on judgement day2, so expect from now on to be faster or rushed)
Meanwhile, Wilhelm was walking down the mansion's halls, and he had some lingering suspicions as the atmosphere around him was slightly tense. There was nothing apparently wrong, but he could feel it:
The stare of an ambusher.
He walked down the hallways of the lion-decorated mansion.
He caressed the sword resting on his waist.
"I swore to you that I would use your sword to avenge you, but it looks like I have to—"
A slight clank noise came from behind him.
He turned around while unsheathing his sword and blocked the blade aimed at his back, redirecting it somewhere else, causing a spark and scraping of both blades until the ambusher's blade was deviated.
He leaped back, sword gripped tightly in front of him.
It was one of those foreign knights. A cylindrical helmet with a golden cross stamped on the helm's face, with just a breastplate decorated in the same manner, along with a cape. They stared at him with the helmets furrowing their eyeholes and holding their blades in one hand. But it wasn't just their appearance that was impressive; it was also their giant size and stature that made Wilhelm crank his neck to look at one of them face to face due to their height and basically the size of a wardrobe.
"I would have preferred not to fight, but you and your captain..." He took a moment to think. "No. Not captain. Your 'Overlord' has decided to go against us under the disguise of protection."
The foreign knight stood there, and then from the other rooms emerged others of the foreign knight's fellows, colleagues, and perhaps friends. They all stood behind that foreign knight and stared at Wilhelm.
Wilhelm's head turned to glanced behind; there was no one. The opponents were only in front of him. He heard some noises behind his head and turned around.
One of them lunged toward Wilhelm while he looked away.
He raised his sword, and once again blades clashed together, but this time the foreign knight persisted in its attack, swiping from any direction with aimless fashion.
However, Wilhelm did not let his barrages get to him, analyzing the situation while blocking strikes.
TANG CLANK CLANK GLANK TONG CLANG GLANG CLANK!
This one foreign knight seemed to be the only one attacking, as the ones standing by were idly spectating the duel. He glanced at his attacker; they were random but trained swings, as he wasn't swinging the sword around like a kid, he noted, while the foreigner's sword was essentially a greatsword but seemed to be designed as a one-handed weapon. Wilhelm glanced at the foreigner's unoccupied hand; it was in a defensive position, but the way his fingers curled suggested a grappling hold.
As their blades collided more and more, Wilhelm noted that the foreign knight put his entire—or at least a significant amount of—strength into his attacks but remained steady despite the wild swings.
Wilhelm furrowed his brow and widened his stance. He turned his blade sideways and thrust in between his attacks, striking at the foreign knight's neck.
As the tip of the blade struck, sounds of chains stopped Wilhelm's blade. The foreign knight faltered as the blade struck but didn't seem to be injured.
Wilhelm retreated his blade back to himself. Meanwhile, the foreign knight said something incomprehensible, and the other spectating overlord's knights raised their swords and came to join the fight. He seemed to have realized that he was outmatched and called his buddies to help.
As they closed in, Wilhelm kept a defensive stance; he raised the sword in the air and turned it upside down.
On the signal of one of the foreign knights, they all lunged at once toward Wilhelm, ready to thrust their swords at him.
Wilhelm in a blink of an eye jumped above their heads, dodging all their blades. The foreign knights' helmets widened their eyes as they retreated their swords. Wilhelm landed on top of the foreigner's cylindrical helmet, which would have been an surprisingly stable surface if the foreign knight didnt move around, all the foreign knights looked left to right and they started to yell at eachother.
Wilhelm looked down to where he was standing on 'Does he even feel that im standing right above his head?' He thought. He spun his blade and seeing the wide slits of the helmets, he jammed his blade through it. He started to scream and flail around and alerted the others, they pointed at Wilhelm and yelled once more.
He jumped and danced through the air as the foreign knights looked up and kicked all of them at once and all of them fell down like dominos.
Wilhelm looked around for any more threats, and then decided to sprint back to Crusch, incase she was in any trouble
Meanwhile, in the armory, where the foreign knights, Crusch, and Ferris fought, Crusch was held by her arms from behind. Another foreign knight was approaching to stab her, but she kicked him in the stomach, halting his attack. With a reverse kick, she swung her leg forward, then behind her, knocking the man holding her to the ground. She scanned the room.
The man she kicked lunged again, attempting a tackle. Crusch danced around him but didn't attack, realizing that normal blades couldn't do anything to this kind of armor. She stepped onto a crate to gain a better view of the room, noting that a foreign knight was pinning Felix to the ground but had yet to harm him.
Then she saw what she was looking for—her own blade, passed down through generations.
She sprang into action, leaping over the foreign knights, occasionally stepping on their heads to reach her sword.
As soon as she grabbed it, she inspected the blade and smiled.
"Great!" she yelled.
She looked at the foreign knights.
Crusch discarded her old blade and unsheathed her best sword. With a soft blue glow, she swung it, and a blade of air sliced through the armory, cutting the foreign knights in half. They all collapsed in puddles of their own guts—except for Felix and the foreign knight holding him down. As soon as the foreign knight saw what happened, he stood up, staggered back, turned, and sprinted toward the door, breaking it down as he dashed outside.
"You're not getting away!" Crusch yelled as she stepped over crates and the occasional corpse to chase after him.
She raised her blade, and the same glowing air blade rapidly approached the fleeing knight, cutting him down across his body. He fell, lifeless, into a puddle of blood.
She sheathed her blade and walked over to Felix.
"Felix! Are you harmed?" she asked.
Felix stood up, dusting himself off.
"Nay, Crusch-sama. Ferri-chan just had a brute holding him down."
Crusch nodded and then, as if appearing from nowhere, Wilhelm stepped forward.
"Crusch-sama, Felix-san, are you both unharmed?" he asked.
Crusch had a few scratches, bruises, and perhaps some wounds, but they were nothing Felix couldn't treat. Felix himself had no injuries.
"We're alright," both of them responded, to which Wilhelm nodded.
Crusch raised her hand, speaking in a commanding tone. "We need to gather our troops immediately. Those knights must have suppressed or taken our soldiers hostage. They don't seem to want to kill us, but we need to recover them quickly."
Felix and Wilhelm nodded in agreement.
Meanwhile at the base of an enormous tree, the Fluder tree. The beastmen were preparing their launch back to the kingdom to go back to their homes- atleast, if there still an home to go.
Wolperionen was walking around the camp, pointing left and right, giving commands "You! Take that cannon off the wall! We need it to break through those medieval walls of Lugunica!" he ordered as the other beastmen were salvaging their camp and reusing or keeping them as they were preparing to move out.
As he entered the giant tree, he wondered if there were any vehicles- assuming the overlord could even transport vehicles through his magic.
As he paced around the campment, he turned to Dod "Dod! Do we have any vehicle already that we can use, so i can stop this plan to make one?" He asked, to which Dod shook his head.
"Then we will have to carry Khan with us and continue the construction of the vehicle"
As preparations completed, the beastman successfully made an makeshift vehicle out of wood, it worked by keeping pulling levers back and forth.
