Was lost.
Why was he lost? Well, let me regale you in his tale of how our heroic bronze-haired hero was able to find himself lost within this seemingly endless forest.
The poor soul had just finished dealing with the Passage of the Unbound and retrieved all the missing relics the relic began to suddenly activate on its own transporting it along with him to a realm unknown
Truly a tale worthy of song.
But that's how it happened, for reasons, none may know Allric had found himself stranded in an unknown forest.
As Allric was not prepared for the sudden transport he was not equipped with his best gear wearing an Ivalician Shikari's Bandana, and Martial Artist's Sleeveless Vest, ruby red Augmented Bozjan Armguards of Striking, soot black Augmented Bozjan Poleyns of Striking, and Anchorite's Greaves with none of his weapons on hand, keeping his steps light through the forest as he looked towards any sign of a road or even a town that would be able to help him.
So far, nothing has come around, but the freelancer wasn't one to give up easily. He had proven that time and time again when fighting off the various primals, the light wardens, and every possible threat under the sun around his home, and he was still kicking. The few that could easily match him in power are either his close companions or on his side, cough*Gaius*cough, or long since felled.
Back to the current situation, Mills was starting to wonder where he was because the feeling of being watched hadn't left him since he had traveled for a couple of Bells, and it was beginning to creep ever closer.
His next step was followed by a faint crack of a branch to his left. The stealer of pants pausing mid-stride, the boy had a second to drop into a crouch as something flew over his head, bounding behind the tree line before he could see more than a mass of green scales.
"I... don't want this today" Allric muttered, sliding back into a loose Opo-opo stance, the wind still as the calm pond waiting for a hint of distortion. A second later the mass of scales leaped from his left.
The aggressor swang a hammer-like object with such ferocity that Allric was forced to slip past the attack and leap back to gain some distance, Mills came face to face with what he could only describe as a graceful-looking woman with the monstrous features of a kojin the weapon she wielded was what appeared to be a custom, Maul.
her face displayed a neutral expression but for an odd reason, he felt a ting of lust from her eyes bearing down on him.
"So...why are you attacking me?" Allric asked,
"I apologize for the sudden attack but you weren't going to confront me so I decided to take the first move" the kojin responded, Allric tilted his head slightly in confusion. Keeping his eyes on her, why that he asked, "Simple I challenge you to a duel strong one en guard"
the Kojin dashed forward swinging her maul upwards Allric for his part slid to the side doing the attack its not unlike him to ignore a challenger who would so readily test his might but given the situation he wasn't exalky in the mood for this as she swang for an overhead strike he counters with a dragon kick with the second blow hitting her stomach stunning her for a second which allows him to follow up with twins snake knocking her back a yalm.
The woman howled in pain for a second before regaining herself reading for a counter Allric decided this was enough as he thunder stepped towards her catching her off guard as he delivered a snap pung in the adamin causing he to gasp dropping her weapon and fall on her knees.
Shaking his head, the bronze-haired boy retrieved a hi potion from his harness, putting it on the ground in front of the woman, Drink this it will help heal any internal bleeding you might have suffered, the Kojin woman though she was not looking at him accepted the potion
Best get some answers somehow right?
Leaning against a tree across from the girl, Mills rested as he waited for her to regain herself and hopefully answer his questions. Taking a moment, the bronze-haired boy took a good look at the girl across from him.
She initially looks like a Hyur but upon closer examination, she looks like a cross between a Hyur, an aml'ja, and a kojin, all the same, She was beautiful, with pristine skin with long copper hair in a ponytail style, and her outfit was a lapiz blue, Her legs being that of a koji, with her tail, feet, and fin ears? a light yellow, her leg guards the same lapis blue as her outfit with hints of yellow strips, she was quite lightly armored considering her weapon of choice. a maul was quite unusual for a weapon of choice though he had seen a couple of warriors wield them.
Shaking his head, the boy looked up to see that the sun was setting soon. Heaving a sign, the monk questioned himself as to why he was there in the first place as he began to make a small camp
The night began to fall shortly, and the girl slowly regained her strength. Blinking the daze out of her eyes she found the bronze-haired boy sitting across from her, a campfire burning brightly between them as a pair of skinned rabbits were being cooked over the red flames.
Slowly sitting up, the young woman found her weapon still by her side untouched. as if he didn't feel threatened by it being near her
"You...bested me so easily in only 10 seconds with only three strikes?" she asked slowly, to the man but to herself watching the man carefully as he turned his almost sparking Green sage eyes away from the fire to her.
"You'd forgive me if I didn't let the fight last longer but you unfortunately caught me in a sour mood?" Allric stated looking at the Kojin girl, honestly if the timing was better he would have let the fight go one more to let her go all out, though could you call it a fight? But he wasn't going to make her feel any worse for being outclassed as she was.
"you would have held back just to make it last longer" she spoke, surprised by the boy's statement.
"it, is not often that anyone would straight up challenge me in a direct fight you be surprised by how much I enjoy a challenger no matter the difference in strength we are," he said, honestly trying to comprehend what she was saying. "Though I must ask why did you challenge me as suddenly as you did?" he said, the Kojin girl shuffled to her feet picked up her weapon, and walked towards the campfire.
"When I first saw you I thought you were some lost foreigner but as I watched you the way you moved your focus and presence told of a warrior for my people's way is to challenge strong opponents and when I fought you it was like facing a Wurm I must apologize when I tried to make my presence known and you ignored my I got contempted and tried to attack you from behind, I apologize for my Dishonable actions," she said finishing it with a bow
"If that's the case no harm done," Allric said
That caught the kojin girl by surprise this time.
"What?"
"It's as you said your people go out to challenge the strong right I get it I tend to do the same at times, honestly, I thought you were trying to kill me and steal my stuff," he said, making the girl gawk at him in surprise.
"That is understandable my actions were not appropriate and put you in such a corner," she said, a slight tone of shame hinting at her still-neutral face.
"then how about we start again," Allric said, grabbing one of the cooked rabbits from the fire and holding it out for the girl to take. "Im Allric, An adventurer hailing from Ul'dah at your service, '' he introduced, smiling at the cute Kojin girl.
"I'm Evrae and I'm a lizardman of the Emerald Lotus Tribe, it's nice to meet you my husband" Evrae spoke, taking the rabbit from the Bronze-haired boy, a small smile formed on her face as she looked at him as her words finally registered to his ears.
"Pardon?"
