It was only a couple of months after the Exodus of Cybertron and the planet has been silent for quite some time but that was only on the surface, deep in the underworld of Cybertron lives a race or creepy crawling mechanical bugs called Insecticons. Denizens of the under levels of Cybertron, the Insecticons live in large destructive swarms and the ravenous and aggressive Insects can digest 95% of known matter, reshaping their findings into enormous subterranean hives. Everyone is familiar with Hardshell, Kickback and Sharpshot,Shockwave's insecticon minions, however no Decepticon knows about the other bugs that crawls under the tectonic plates, for instance currently flying through the under tunnels of Cybertron was an insecticon colored Green and Orange it was a Cicada and it's name was Venom.
Venom was not the leader of all Insecticons,he was the leader of a tribe of insecticons,a paranoid one at that, he's so paranoid about one of the others trying to usurp his position that he does more damage to his own standing among them than most of the plots they might hatch against him. He trusts none of the bugs under his leadership and suspects everyone of being after his place as leader, he is also the master of psycho warfare and won't hesitate to utilize his manipulative and destructive psychological techniques on those under him to stay in power.
Venom flew through the tunnels the buzzing of his wings echoing through the tunnel as he arrived at his destination a rather large chamber section with intersecting tunnels leading elsewhere. Standing in the middle of the room was a feminine insecticon with an black and purple ant form, her nane was Antagony, she the leader of her own tribe, she is known to be utterly ruthless and does not show a shred of pity or mercy to her hated enemies.
Venom landed infront of her and transformed into robot mode and then he approached her stopping only a few feet from her, both insects glared at each other in silence, the contempt radiating from them, Venom and Antagony's tribes have a rather bitter rivalry that has been raging for years,its pretty common for insecticon tribes to war with each other it's happened before and it will continue happening,however the insecticons face a problem that needs to be solved and in order to do that they must work together.
"Venom."Antagony said blankly "Antagony."Venom responded as he looked around the barely lit tunnels expecting other insecticons to show up "i was expecting to see other leaders: Scavenger,Morphus."Venom said naming a few known Insecticon leaders "they are aware of the situation Venom,they are busy handling chaos in their nests,now let's get down to business."Antagony said.
Venom crossed his arms "the Autobots and Decepticons ruined this planet with their war, the dark energon poisoned the core of Cybertron, causing the core to shut down, you felt it too."Venom said as Antagony nodded "the energon began running out fast,causing our race to scrounge for scraps."Venom said with growing anger that this was happening to their race. "So do you have a solution to this?"Antagony asked placing a hand on her hips.
"I do,i don't know if you noticed but it's been quiet up there for a while,that's because the warring factions have left cybertron through something called a space bridge,i learned about this through my spies within my traitorous ex minions tribe."Venom said making Antagony laughed "oh yeah Sharpshot,Hardshell and Kickback,if memory surves you kicked them out because you thought they were plotting against you."
Venom clenched his fists "i know they were plotting against me,they were getting a bit too hard to keep in line and i heard them talking about me behind my back,i had to get rid of them." Antagony scoffed his paranoia knows no bounds "alright..."she said. "They left on ships through something called a space bridge built by a Decepticon scientist called Shockwave ,their destination was some distant planet that is said to be rich with energy."
This greatly interested Antagony "and where is this space bridge now?"she asked "unfortunately it was destroyed by the Dinobots."Venom said Antagony raised an eyebrow "the what?" "some Shockwave experiment,they killed Sharpshot but not the others,however Shockwave is still here on Cybertron why i don't know and i don't care,i plan on kidnapping him and making him build another one of those Space bridges and get us to the mysterious world."Venom said with sinister glee this made Antagony smile as well the Insecticon race has a way off a dying world and into a better one.
"Where is Shockwave now?"Antagony asked "I'll have some of my minions look for him up top,but first i need to do what i should have done before: elimimate lose ends,Hardshell and Kickback are still alive and alied with Shockwave,i'm going to have them eliminated."Venom said "Good for you."Antagony said with a little eye roll Venom transformed in Cicada mode and began hovering above Antagony "i will spread the word,the Insecticon exodus begins soon."Venom said as he then flew back into the tunnel he came from leaving Antagony alone for a moment until she heard footsteps behind her, she turned to see a masculin insecticon that was colored red and had a Fire Ant alternate mode.
"I over heard everything my queen,is it come to this, are we to leave our dying nest?"it asked kneeling before Antagony who smiled at the Red clad insecticon "yes Inferno,it appears so,we are all leaving Cybertron and into a new age,no more barely getting by and cannibalizing each other like we've been doing,no...our nest eats well."Antagony gently placing a hand on Inferno's head.
Antagony begain to walk through the tunnel and Inferno stood up and begain following her but not before looking back at the tunnel Venom flew through,narrowing his eyes with suspicion and mistrust, he turned back towards Antagony "my queen..Venom isn't going to tell the other tribes is he?"
Antagony gave a scornful scoff "by the pits no,he'd keep it secret and when the bridge was complete he'd have it destroyed." Inferno paused as what Venom did not make sense "if he wanted it secret...why tell you at all?"Inferno asked making Antagony turn around and look him dead in his eyes. "Because Inferno,he was mocking me,the idea his nest is going to the new world while the rest of us rust here is amusing to him and..."Antagony's attention was aimmed upwards above and behind Inferno where three insecticon drones, that were one of Venom's, crawled on the celing of the tunnel, chittering and staring at them with hostile intent.
"He wasn't going to let me live to tell anyone about it anyway."Antagony said with a frown one of the drones dropped down and began snapping at Antagony with it's pinchers but she jumped backwards dodging them, Inferno watched as the other drones dropped down, Inferno growled and pulled out a blaster and quick shot one of them instantly killing it the other growled and charged at him "burn invader burn!!!"Inferno shouted as his gun fired a stream of flames at the drone, the drone screeched as it burned to a metalic crisp.
Antagony transformed into ant mode and begain to wrestled with the drone immediately overpowering it and grabbing it with her mandibles and with a mighty squeeze snapped it's neck killing it. She threw it down and transformed into robot mode and watched as Inferno turned from his insect roasting, Antagony scoweled at the flames of the dead drone, this pathetic attempt on her life was a direct insult and she plans to respond accordingly, she continued walking through the tunnel with Inferno following her.
