AUTHORS NOTE
Just wanted to say sorry about being absent about this AU. I got caught up with other projects like Glitchronpa and currently Murder Party. I do plan to get back on this, but it might take a bit with stuff going on in my life. Otherwise, enjoy what I have for now :)
The world was shrouded in darkness. It would've been impossible to see in the dark if it weren't for the bright light coming from a ravine in the distance, overflowing with bright light. Everything was quiet, the land was in ruins, and there was no Pokemon anywhere in sight to begin with.
Except for the shining blue figure in the distance, flying across the glowing ravine, the teal scars on his body illuminated by the yellow light.
Dialga looked across the leftovers of Alola. Even from years of seeing the remains of the world, it still hurts to see it like this. Even if Alola wasn't where he was from.
A disaster took place here a long time ago. A disaster where Necrozma had stolen all of the light from the entire earth, not just here. His father, Arceus, had taken him and his brothers to face him off themselves before it was too late. They all had fought valiantly, and in the end it had seemed like they had won, but Necrozma was able to catch them off guard when Arceus was about to deliver his final Judgment. Necrozma had killed him, along with Dialga's older brother Giratina. Leaving him and his twin brother Palkia alone. Alone and powerless.
50 years. 50 long years of living in the ruins of this world.
The ravine started to flash. Dialga looked down in surprise before a burst of yellow lava-like light shot up right in front of him. He recoiled, the heat burning his body even though it wasn't touching him.
He was used to these by now. As fast as he could, he shot Flash Canon at the yellow lava and it simply disappeared back into the ravine.
That light… They come from what was left from Necrozma after he exploded once he absorbed too much light. It filled what was left of Alola, which was now covered with ravines in the earth filled with that same yellow light.
Even though Necrozma exploded, he seemed to end up as a bigger version of himself, made of the lava that was in the ravine. Thankfully he wasn't as powerful as he was when Dialga had fought him, but he could end up exploding again and causing more destruction than he already had.
Dialga sighed. He couldn't see the point of fighting Necrozma anymore now.
"Dialga!"
He didn't need to turn around to see who it was. There was only one other Pokemon alive here with Dialga.
Palkia was flying towards him, the dim cracked pearls on his shoulders and the pink scars that matched Dialga's teal ones glowing from the light coming from the ravine below. An urgent look was on his face as he stopped in front of Dialga.
"Palkia? What happened?" He asked him. Palkia took a moment to catch his breath before he finally responded.
"He's back!" He pointed to where he came from. As Dialga peered into the distance, he could see the bright yellow light gleaming at the heart of the ravine there, followed by a roar not too long after.
Dialga turned to his brother and they both nodded. They've done this thousands of times before, they knew what they needed to do now.
Dialga started flying towards where Necrozma was spawning, Palkia following closely behind him.
