The security office door chimed.
Startled, Odo looked up from his PADD.
"Enter," he grunted, annoyed. This delay was sure to set him back another five minutes, at least. He could just feel it. His altercation with Quark this morning over the bartender's latest shipment of contraband had already thrown off his schedule by three minutes and forty-seven seconds.
But then, the door opened, revealing… her.
"Good morning, Odo!" Kira Nerys smiled her beautiful, infectious, perfect smile.
"Major," he returned simply, pulling out a chair for her.
She sat, and as they talked, the changeling forgot all about the clock.
