Hello to all my loyal readers, and those who are just now finding this fic. Feel free to leave me reviews and let me know how this story is going so far. I apologize for my recent absence from posting this fic, but I'm back now, and I hope to keep this on a more regular schedule.
Chapter 8 The Allies Arrive
As the group returns to Angel Grove imedietly they walk to the buisness district to help with the clean up. They arrive to find a construction company clearing the building debree away as a few wreakers and tow trucks carry away the turned over vehicles. There was a group of buisness owners gathered discussing what their options were.
"We could rebuild the area with the new monster attack insurance plan so we could be covered the next time this happens" one of them stated.
"How can we be sure that we will be safe the Power Rangers didn't show up during the last attack what if they left us to fend for ourselves." Barbra said she was the slaon owner.
"You two don't understand as long as the rangers are around we are in danger, our lives and our business." Kurt said in deffence of his bank.
"You are out of your mind we have been saved many times by the Power Rangers this is not going to be a contunuious problem I have faith they will be there when we need them" A young man in a running suit spoke up.
"What do you know your building didn't get touched," Kurt said
"I'm thankful considering we haven't finished construction, my name is Fred Calvin
"I'm not interested in who you are, I don't trust that we are safe here as long as the Rangers call this their home," Kurt said.
"How many times have they not shown up during an attack?" asked an elderly lady wearing a navy blazer and skirt.
"Well madam mayor this is the second time they have not shown up entirely." argued the field reporter from channel 7.
"You were recently promoted to field reporter? Correct?" The mayor asked.
"Yes I also just transfered from Reefside WBKC to Angel Grove the reporter said her voice tenged wtih annoyance.
"If you want to keep your job you shouldn't try to fill all of us with doubt when it concerns the Rangers." The mayor said
"You humans are all the same." the reporter said before quickly shifting into her normal form revealing Scorpina.
Seeing her transformation the rangers had called for ninja ranger power as they advanced the citizens were running in all directions trying to avoid the venomus sting.
As they were all running around Scorpina stalked towards her prey very slowly. Just as she readied her weapon to launch it at the mayor a blue streak rushed in and quickly dissappeared taking the mayor with it.
Turning Scorpina found the ten brightly colored heroes. "Look who finally decided to show up." She spat.
"I think its time we sent the message to those bastards on the moon." Jason said mentally slipping into his former role.
"I think your right lets do it guys." Trini said
Scorpina noticed they were just standing there so she decided to charge at them.
"Here she comes now everybody wait for my signal." Trini said
"What are we doing?" Aisha asked using their telepathic abillity
"Let Scorpina get closer then we will unleash our sporit animal attacks remember what we learned they are as connected to us as we are to them.
Scorpina charged swiftly closing the space between her and the Rangers once she reached the point that was to close for Trini's comfort she sent out the telepathic signal to her teammates. Seconds later Scorpina was hit with a barrage of attacks from the spirit animals each attacking in the way they would if it were a real animal, ending with the pounce from the silver Tiger leaving Scorpina flat on her back.
"Have you had enough bitch?" Aisha questioned
"You wish power bitch you will never get rid of me!" Scorpina spat before charging the group of heroes throwing her stingerang.
"Duck guys!" Justin shouted
The Stingerang soared ober the rangers and as it headed back to Scorpina Trini acted quickly using her lightning ability to elevtrify the weapon as Scorpina reached for it causing her to be electricuted knocking her to the ground again.
"And down she goes." Rocky said. The rangers start to celebrate which gave Scorpina time to return to her feet long enough to announce her departure.
"You haven't heard the last of me Power Brats."
Florida Same Time
"Hello handsome, I'm so happy to see you." Kimberly said
"Why don't we go for a walk." Tommy suggested
The two bid farwell to Sam as they exited through the patio heading down toward the beach.
"You seem upset Kim, hows your training going?" Tommy asked
"Honestly I'm a little home sick, I'm missing our friends more than I thought I would." Kimberly explained as she figited with her nails.
Tommy reached out pulling her in for a much needed hug and he held her there while she broke down into tears.
"Kimberly your trembling, whats troubeling you?" Tommy asked holding her as she started to calm a little.
"Oh no these are tears of joy I've been missing you, my training is going well I just hope that I perform my best and make the team." Kimberly explained.
"Well I believe you are one of the best gymnastics canidates to represent our country. I am here to help you when things seem to hard I believe in you beautiful I know you can do it." Tommy explained pulling her in for a passionate kiss, only when the need for air became to much did they seperate.
"So I take it you missed me as well?" Kimberly said teasing as her boyfriend had trouble with public displays of affection.
"Yeah two weeks is a long time away from my beautiful girlfriend." Tommy replied
"Your so sweet handsome, I'm glad your parents allowed you to move accross the country with your grandfather, It allows me one of my biggest supporters." Kim said
"You know I'll always be here for you." Tommy said as he grabbed her hand. The two started to walk before they heard Trini's voice in their heads.
"Guys we just had a battle with Scorpina she was disquised as a reporter so watch yourselves down there."
"Thanks for the heads up Tri, how are things going otherwise?" Kimberly replied using their telepathic abilltiy
"Well it seems your brother is fasinated with the new girl." Trini informed her best friend.
"Well he has a hard time opening up with girls he has intrest in." Kimberly replied
"We've known this for years now so the only way they are going to understand they ike each other is if one of them will have to take a chance." Trini suggested.
"You mean you and the other girls are going to meddle." Kimberly said
The entire time they were talking Tommy stood there starring at his girlfriend with this determind look on her face. As she noticed his stare she quickly told Trini she had to go and she would talk to her later. Coming back from her mental conversation she held her hand out to Tommy and said
"Come on handsome your grandfather should be finished with dinner by now, we can walk on the beach after dinner."
The two returned to the house to find Sam sitting at the tabel outside on the patio.
"Its nice out this evening I figured we could eat outside." Sam said in lue of a greeting
"Sounds great grandfather." Tommy said as they sat down.
"Thank you for allowiong me to join you for dinner." Kimberly said
"The pleasure is all mine my dear, now why don't we eat and later I would like to explain the story that was told in our family going back to our gathered tribes many ages ago." Sam explained.
"That sounds like a lovely idea." Kimberly said with an excited yet curious tone
The three sat there enjoying the meal Sam prepared
Meanwhile in space
The two twams were traveling as fast as they could making their way to earth. Andros was standing on the bridge eyeing the teams destination.
"Bring up video transmission of the Galaxy team." Andros said
"Video communication is ready Andros." Decca stated as the video feed came into focus.
"Andros what is our destination?" Leo asked
"We should land in the dessert outside the city limits of Angel Grove near the readings shown on the screen." Andros said as the coordinates appeared on screen.
"I'll set auto pilot to that location, maybe try to get some sleep during our final approach." Leo stated
"We will see you upon our landing, may the power protect you my friends." Andros said just before ending the communication.
Both teams speed toward their destinaitonas fast as the vessels could travel.
In Angel Grove after Scorpina's retreat the citizens were in shock they had been so close to one of the evil beings allowed them access to the media information of Angel Grove.
"We need to find a way to get advanced scanners or something that would give us back our sence of security." Fred said
"Well that sounds like a good idea, however we have no way to create something like that." the mayor said.
"You might not but we do" the blue dressed ninja said as he approached the group of citizens.
"UH Billy what are you doing?" Billy heard in his head.
"They really believe a better system will help, and it will help us detect monster attacks with they system at the command center I can route everything to my lab." Billy replied in Trini's head.
"The Blue wolf is correct we can help with creating a better scanner for more security." The orange dressed ninja stated.
"Thank you rangers and on behalf of the citizens of Angel Grove we are greatful that your here to protect us. I also would liek to personally invite you to another power rangers appreciation event this saturday." The mayor stated.
"Speaking for all of us we gracously accept." the orange dressed ninja stated.
Seconds later the rangers were gone, using their ninja streak to get across town demorphing along the way. The group of ten young adults made their way into the youth center.
Meanwhile back in Florida
Kimberly and Tommy were cuddeled up on a blanket listening to Sam's story of the Ancient Animals of Power.
"They once lived on earth eons ago, they watched over the lives of the inhabitants of Earth, just as twelve others do now. The Falcon is paired with the Crane swore together just as the Ape and Bear roam the ground, The Wolf and Tiger protect the jungle as the Dolphin and Frog protect the waters, The Panther, Puma, Lion and Cheetah protect the plains. Together they protect this planet from all sorts of evil." Sam explained silently watching the two young adults as they reacted to his words.
"So your saying the rangers have the same powers as these Ancient Animals of Power." Kimberly questioned
"Exactly and from what I've seen in the paper the rangers are doing a wonderful job." Sam stated watching the younger couple.
The two shared a look before Tommy asked in a false supprise "what do you know?"
"Now Thomas don't underestimate your herritage after all I am the shaman of our tribe, my connection to the spirit relm allows me to see the Animals glow even inside their hosts." Sam explained.
"So you know who the rangers are?" Kimberly asked
"Yes Pink Crane I do." Sam replied
"She may need you to give her a few minutes to wrap her mind around what she just learned." Tommy said nervously
"Take your time, before you leave I need you to know your secret is safe with me." Sam said
Tommy knodded in agreement just before they called to the command center.
"Zordon we found some information about our animal spirits, I think we should share with you and the others." Tommy informed.
"Right now we are channeling all transmission to a secure loction I will have our allies reach out to you as soon as I can, until then may the power protect you." Zordon replied unknowingly scaring the two rangers.
"Alright keep us informed of the situation please." Tommy said a little shakingly.
Sam returned with two cups of hot coco, handing the cups over he gesturing to the roaring campfire. The two moved to sit back down on the blanket they had just vacated moments ago. As they settled down sipping thier coco while sam approached the fire he pulled out a small stone he kept on a string around his neck, he placed it down followed by three more he pulled from his pocket setting them down in a manor that resembled a compass.
Once the last stone was placed down the fire began to dance until a viewing portal was seen in the very center of the flames. All was silent they didn't want to risk speaking and ruin everything. However through thier telepathic link given to them by the animal spirits they were screaming. Moments later ten beams of light arrived, upon their arrival they were mesmerised as well as silent joining their teammates.
"Long ago it was fortold that a great evil would reunite to attack the universe, their ultimate goal would be the destruction of all that is good and decent. By the time the blood moon appears the Empire of Evil would unite with the Trio of Torment. The two evil forces coming together may result in the rangers looking for allies from the stars.
The groups becoming one is predicted to be enough to drive the evil forces back giving the heroes of the light a chance to breath." Sam explained.
"Is that all?" Tommy asked sinsing there was more to the story.
"The outcome can go either way if the incoming allies are not permitted to join with the Earth rangers.
"So we need to make sure they complete their trip, Tommy we need to inform Zordon." Kimberly said.
"Kim we don't know if the command center is safe right now, Zordon is checking into what caused our delayed call into battle but until we know we are secure at the command center we are to report everything to Dulcea and Ninjor at the Sacrid Temple." Billy informed the two members of the team that have been away.
"So have the communicators been set to the Sacrid Temple's frequency?" Tommy asked.
"Yes Billy and I completed that task this afternoon." Justin informed.
"Maybe we should teleport to the temple and explain what we know." Rocky suggested
"That is a good plan, however the information we could gain here might be benifical for us and our allies." Kimberly said.
Tommy then turned to his grandfather to see him pick up the four runes and place three back in his pocket while the other he returned to it place around his neck.
"Your first priority should be meeting your incoming allies." Sam said before he headed inside.
"Heading to rest grandfather?" Tommy aksed
"Yes Thomas connecting with the spirit relm is not kind on the body and requires sleep afterwards." Sam informed before bidding his fairwell to the group for the evening.
After Sam left the rangers sat around discussing the story they were just told.
"Billy how much of this is relatable to us?" Zack asked not fully understanding the connection between the Ancient Animals of Power and their animal spirits.
"The animal spirits once inhabited Earth as we are now we have those same powers are what we currently possess." Billy explained
"Oh well, so does that mean we can do anything the Ancient Animals of Power could?" Zack asked for clarrifacation.
"I'm sure in time we should grow into those powers, I just hopewe are ready for the power boost when it comes." Aisha said
While they discussed the situation further time past and it started to get dark, Kimberly noticed the time and realised she needed to return to her dormroom at the training facilaty.
Same Time in Space
The Astro megaship was starting its desent into the earth's atmosphere followed closely by the Galaxy team.
Meanwhile at the Ninjetti Temple
"Ninjor we have an incoming unidentified object heading for the dessert just outside the command center." Dulcea informed as she scanned the area for any other signals. Moments later five more power signetures entered the earth's atmosphere. All of the power signetures were headed to the same location.
"Ninjor we need to bring up communication with Zordon. They need to know they have incoming Power signetures." Dulcea explained.
Ninjor quickly moved to the control panel to call Zordon through secure link the three created after the rangers delayed arrival in Angel Grove. After pushing the button sequence Zordon appeared in the wall of the Ninjetti Temple.
"Ninjor what seems to be the problem?" Zordon asked haistefully
"We have discovered six unidentified objects landing int eh dessert outside the command center." Ninjor informed
"Do you know if they are friend or foe?" Zordon asked
"We are not sure but they are putting off high levels of power." Dulcea explained.
"I will send Alpha 5 out to scan the incoming transports
Zordon left the communication open while Alpha exited the command center to scan the incoming transports that have now landed and the ocupants were exiting thier transports. When Andros spotted the small robot.
"Alpha, what are you doing out here?" he asked
"NInjor informed Zordon of your ship's arrival then I was sent out to investigate." Alpha explained
"What are we waiting for?" said another voice approaching on Andros' left.
"Leo glad you could make it and you have a point we need to get inside." Andros stated
Alpha turned and began his return into the command center.
"Well I guess we just follow the android?" asked Carlos and Kai.
The group of eleven headed to the command center.
Moments later they were standing in the middle of the main control room, the lost galaxy team had powered down just after entering, then Andros began to debreif everyone on the situaiton they have found themselves in ending with the hopeful uniting of the three teams to face one common enemy.
"What has happened to your teams foes?" Zordon asked
"We have been wondering that for weeks now." Leo said
"As have we" Ashley informed
"It wasn't until two days ago we found a recording showing us that Master Vile has recruted Astronima and her army to join forces with hime and his daughter." Andros explained
"Also we are certan that Trakeena has been recruted as well, leading us all here to find answers and offer our assistance with anything that threatens our home planet." Leo said
"Well in order to determine such a plan you must speak with the rangers." Zordon explained
"Thats great when can we expect to speak with them?" Zhane asked
"You will be sent to a secure location and then you can speak with them once they arrive." Alpha said as he pushed buttons on the console when he hit the last button the teleportation beams flicker then the eleven were gone.
Ninjetti Temple
The eleven rangers land in the garden just outside the temple, Dulcea was walking out the tempole to greet them.
