Chapter 11

This chapter will be a short one since this is the beginning of the Summer Training Arc.

Ichigo woke up, stretched his arms, and saw that his phone had a lot of messages on it. Some from Tatsuki and Chad since they headed out to Kyoto to find the Youkai Faction to become stronger, some from Uryu telling him that he's going to do some training as well, and Issei is enjoying hanging out with his biological dad.

{Hey! Have a great summer, guys!} Issei texted before Tatsuki and Chad began to text back along with Uryu until Ichigo chuckled at the GIFs being sent in said chat before shooting one of his own.

{Thanks, you too. Don't get yourselves into too much trouble. Let me know if you need anything.} Ichigo said, which unleased a barrage of messages.

{THE STRAWBERRY LIVES!}

{I knew he wasn't dead!}

{...Sorry.}

{Wait! Ichigo is dying?! We need to save him!}

{It's a joke, Orihime.}

{Oh...Well, it's not funny!}

Ichigo chuckled at the joke before closing his phone and getting dressed. He was planning to head over to Kisuke's shop to train. He has his Soul Reaper Powers but doesn't know how to use his Quincy powers, so he'll need Kisuke's help to learn how to use them.

"For the last time, Karin, you are too young to date Issei!" Yuzu shouted, which was surprising for Ichigo since Yuzu was the peacekeeper. However, Karin has been trying to mature a bit since she was thirteen.

"Oh, I like you're one to talk since I know you keep photos of that one guy at school under your pillow!"

"How did you know that?"

"We share the same room!"

This led to the two arguing even more, which made Ichigo wonder if this is what he and his dad look like when they beat each other up.

"Uh, what's going on here, girls?" Ichigo asked, leaning against the wall before the duo looked at him, and Yuzu replied.

"I'm trying to get Karin to see reason!"

"And I just want to go over to Issei's place and ask him for some help since I've been working on my soccer and want him as my opponent," Karin said, which made Ichigo chuckle a bit, recalling how after soccer season was over Karin still hung out with Issei and asked him to train her for next season and some tutoring when she struggled in some of her classes since Karin was hoping to become a doctor since Isshin made a joke that if Ichigo denied taking over the clinic, then Karin could inherit it when he retired.

Normally, most people would think Yuzu wanted to be a nurse, but to the family's surprise, Yuzu's dream was to be a great chef. That's why she always went over to Issei's home to get some advice from Miki and Issei. She wanted a biased opinion because Yuzu knew her family loved her, but they didn't exactly give reviews or comments on cooking because they didn't want to hurt her feelings.

"Well, sorry, but Issei is out of town for a while since he's with his biological father," Ichigo said, which surprised the sisters since they'd heard that Gorou wasn't Issei's real dad. However, Issei still called him dad at times, even though Issei and his biological father still had a great relationship.

"Aw, man! I was hoping to spend some more time with him," Karin said with a pout, while Yuzu was sad for a bit but replied.

"That's great to her since Issei hardly talks much about his biological father. I wonder what they're like, " Yuzu said as she tried to picture what kind of person Issei's real dad was before Karin stepped in.

"Probably someone really strong since Issei had to have been strong if he was putting up with his group and dealing with Ichigo's girlfriend," Karin said. Yuzu nodded at this until Ichigo replied.

"Tatsuki isn't my girlfriend!"

"Oh, that's right! Isn't Rukia still here? You should plan a summer date with her!" Yuzu said before making some suggestions. "Maybe a nice pool date since it does get hot around here when summer rolls in?"

"She's got a point, plus I can tell you're just dying to see your bunny in a swimsuit, even though she's not packing much upstairs," Karin said while pointing to her chest, making Yuzu gasp at her sister.

"Karin! Don't be so scandalous!"

"Oh, don't act like you're some sweet little Angel since I know for a fact you are not as innocent as you seem to others."

Ichigo sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. His sisters arguing about his love life—or lack thereof—was not how he wanted to start his day.

"First off, stop talking about Rukia like that. Second, we're just friends," Ichigo said, even though a part of him wanted to ask Rukia on a date. Third, can you two focus on something else besides my personal life?" he said, giving them both a stern look.

Karin smirked. "Whatever you say, big bro. But if you're not making a move, don't be surprised if someone else does. Just saying."

Yuzu, ever the peacekeeper, tried to defuse the situation. "Karin, leave him alone. It's not our place to pry into Ichigo's relationships." She then turned to Ichigo with a smile. "But if you do need advice, we're here for you!"

"Yeah, great," Ichigo muttered sarcastically, walking past them and grabbing his house key. "I'm heading out. Try not to burn the house down while I'm gone."

"Where are you going?" Yuzu asked.

"To go train," Ichigo replied over his shoulder. He had told his sisters about what he could do but not to tell their dad, so they made a pact not to tell their dad. "Don't wait up."

As Ichigo left, Karin crossed her arms and turned to Yuzu. "He's so bad at hiding things. Rukia and Tatsuki have to be his type."

Yuzu giggled. "Maybe, but I think it's sweet since they have been spending a lot of time together. Do you think we should help them out?"

Karin shrugged. "I mean, I wouldn't mind seeing him squirm. But for now, let's wait and see what happens. We've got bigger things to worry about—like your cooking competition next week."

Yuzu gasped, suddenly reminded of the Sakura Blossom Festival she had been competing in since the. "Oh no, I need to practice my recipe! Karin, you'll taste-test, right?"

Karin sighed dramatically but gave a small smile. "Yeah, yeah. Just make sure it doesn't poison me."

Back on the streets, Ichigo headed toward Urahara's shop, mentally preparing for whatever grueling training Kisuke had in store. He couldn't shake the feeling that things were about to get a lot more complicated—not just with his powers but with the people around him, too.

"Summer's barely started, and it's already exhausting," he muttered. "I guess that's just how things are when you're me."

Scene!

And before anyone says anything, I know this one is incredibly short, but I wasn't sure who to start with for the Summer Training arc, so let me know in the reviews who should get attention first.

1. Ichigo, since he now knows about his Quincy side and needs to learn how to balance his different powers, which is why the Vizards appearing early would be a neat idea for him to get trained before the Soul Society Arc.

2. Chad and Tatsuki are living in Kyot, soo it would be interesting to see how they interact with the Youkai and try to mend the broken trust Kisuke put in them after the accident.

3. Orihime and Uryu since, no doubt, the Angels would want to recruit Uryu to join the Angel faction as one of the elite exorcists.

4. Issei Hyoudou as he talks to his father and 'uncle' along with training beside his Espada.

I'll leave it to you all. Bye!
