It has been seven years since the destruction of Tenrou Island, and Romeo Conbolt stares out at the sea. Bisca and Alzack, now married, tell Romeo their job is done and they should head back to the guild, as they don't want Macao to worry about his son. Bisca tries to comfort Romeo, but Alzack stops her, mid sentence. At the Fairy Tail Guild, now a small tavern, Macao, the new Guild Master, is angry Romeo hasn't come home yet. Wakaba, now Macao's adviser, tells him to calm down, which ends in the two arguing. Max Alors, Warren Rocko and Nab Lasaro, complain about the lack of jobs, as their guild is so small. Meanwhile, Laki Olietta makes fun of Droy, who is now fat. Jet also insults Droy, and tells him even Reedus has trimmed down. Reedus points out he was slim in the first place, anyways. When Levy is mentioned, and somebody shouts about how she is never coming back, everybody becomes silent. Just then, members of Twilight Ogre come into the guild and ask for their payment for the month. One of the members reminds Macao how Fairy Tail is no longer the strongest guild in Magnolia, and how Twilight Ogre had helped Fairy Tail keep their tavern after they started to fade out. He then kicks Macao in the face. Just when everyone is about to fight, Macao yells at them not to. The Twilight Ogre Mages all leave after trashing the guild, and warn Macao they will be back next month.
Kale had left on several S-rank jobs in order to help the guild. He had an immense amount saved up while keeping a separate amount for himself. He has grown into a handsome young man. His pastel yellow-blonde hair had grown slightly longer but was now in the style of Natsu's. He had packed on a considerable amount of muscle as well as height since he was very tall for his age. He stretched and smiled as he relaxed in his secluded treehouse before he counted his savings before looking out towards the ocean.
"Grandpa, everyone, I hope you guys come home soon."Kale said within his subconscious
"Well I think ten billion should cover the debt, and a sweet one billion for me. I wonder how everyone else is doing at the guild." Kale smiles as he is enveloped in a white light and disappears
Back at the Fairy Tail guild, Macao asks Romeo if it was a good idea for him not to join the search party. Romeo replies that even if Tenrou Island was found, there is no knowing if everyone survived as seven years have gone by without any word from them. Just then, Thibault and his group of Twilight Ogre members barge in again, jeering the guild and belittling it. When Wakaba tells them that their payment is only due next month, Thibault retorted that they were acting on the orders of their Master, who feels that it is a problem if payments are not made on schedule. Having heard Thibault's remarks, as well as feeling upset at his guild's cowardice, Romeo prepares to fight back, demonstrating his new ability to conjure fire. However, his attempt proves to be futile as Thibault easily extinguishes his fire by simply blowing it out. Annoyed by Romeo's resistance, Thibault raises his kanabÅ and prepares to strike.
Just as Thibault's attack is about to land, he is sent flying by a kick from a silhouette. As everyone looks in surprise, the remaining members of Twilight Ogre having already been knocked out by several other unseen characters. With a familiar smile, it is revealed that all the missing S-Class Mage Promotion Trial candidates have returned to the guild. While Makarov comments on how small the guild has gotten, Nab and Laki note that everyone still looks young and has not aged a single day since their disappearance. Without a doubt, everyone was overjoyed with tears that the guild is finally reunited.
At that moment a white light filled the guild as everyone looks in awe. The light disappears revealing Kale as Romeo says his name with glee making the missing mages stiff with shock.
"Kale! Look everyone came back!" Romeo said as Kale turned to look at his Grandfather and everyone that had gone missing seven years ago
Makarov stepped forward as he looked at his grandson who was now a young man as Kale kneeled down as the two embraced each other as tears poured from their eyes.
"My you sure have grown on me." Makarov said with a smile
"Yeah, I'm not the same little kid anymore." Kale smiled
"What's in the bag?" Makarov asked
"Oh it's money to help the guild." Kale responded
"How much?" Macao questioned
"Ten billion jewels." Kale replied nonchalantly
"TEN BILLION JEWELS!" Everyone exclaimed
"What have you been doing these past years?" Wakaba questioned
"I've been doing a lot jobs mostly S-rank to help the guild." Kale replies
"S-rank at your age?" Laki questions
Kale and Makarov looked at each other as Makarov nodded
"I've technically been an S-rank mage for eight years." Kale said sheepishly while running his hand through his hair
Everyone exclaimed out of shock even the mages who had went missing. The guild celebrates the return of their missing members with a party that lasts three days. During that time, some revelations come up. With Kale's savings he had saved he helped restore the guild to its former glory.
"Well I guess I can't call you little anymore Kale." Natsu said wrapping an arm around Kale
"When do you want to spar Big Bro?" Kale asks
"Anytime, anywhere." Natsu said with a big proud grin
"I've always figured there was something peculiar about you. Didn't think it was a confidential secret." Gajeel chimed in
"So you've been a Dragon Slayer this whole time?" Natsu asks
"Yeah." Kale smiles
The celebration continues on but Lucy notes the bitterness of the seven years that have passed and how hard it must've been to wait for any news of their missing members. She soon returns back to her old residence but is met by her landlady who, while happy she's alright, demands a back payment of 5,880,000 Jewels for her house or she won't let her in. The color fades from Lucy's being until the landlady laughs saying that her rent has been paid for and for the rest of the year. Lucy's jaw drops to the floor when Kale appears as the landlady points him out. Lucy hugs Kale as she is in tears and thanks for helping her out. Kale is also followed by Natsu, Happy, Gajeel, Gray, Juvia, Wendy, Carla, and Erza.
"Thank you so much for helping me with my rent. I'll be sure to pay you back." Lucy smiles
"Don't worry about it Lucy. I'm always here to help." Kale smiles
"Why are you all here?" Lucy asked
"Well since Kale is an S-rank mage he is here to tell us a secret that the Master has been keeping under lock and key since Kale had joined the guild." Erza responds
Everyone finds a seat in Lucy's apartment as Kale sits in the center of everyone.
"So what's this secret?" Gray asked
"Well that comes with a lot of backstory. Also a little bit about me that you guys don't even know." Kale responded
"Go on." Gajeel said
"My birth mother is the long lost daughter of my grandfather. The reason he doesn't know was that he and the female mage had their memories wiped. She was raised by the Queen of Dragons who was the first to ever use Dragon Slayer Magic." Kale explained
"So your mother was a Dragon Slayer?" Wendy asked
"Yeah she learned Sky Dragon Magic first before branching off into the other elements." Kale responded
"What about your birth father?" Lucky asked
"All I know is that he was raised by twin dragons who wielded shadow magic and that I inherited his eyes." Kale replied
"If there are no more interruptions let Kale finish his story." Erza chimed in
"Thank you Erza, before I was born my parents found the Zelenia, the celestial dragon and the mother to all dragons. My parents tried to nurture her back to health but the damage that was inflicted on her was too great. As a thank you for trying she bestowed her power unto them and thus I inherited it as well. One day after I was born a dark mage attacked my parents hoping to harness the magic we all possessed. My parents fought tooth and nail before the dark mage turned onto me. They used the last of the magic to sacrifice themselves and by teleporting me to Fairy Tail." Kale explained further
"So you're from a different time?" Juvia asked as Kale nodded
"So what kind of magic is Celestial magic?" Carla asked
"It's a combination of all Dragon Slayer magic. Fire, Wind, Iron, Lightning, Light, Shadow, Water, and Earth." Kale explained
"Is there another Dragon Slayer like you?" Natsu asked
"Yes there is but I don't even know who they are or what they look like?" Kale responded
"When did you become an S-Class Mage?" Gray asked
"When I turned six, I had gone up against three Wizard Saints for my trial." Kale replied as everyone's eyes widened
"You went up against Wizard Saints?" Gajeel asked
"I couldn't imagine what that must've been like? I know that is more extreme than my trial was." Erza said
"Believe me Laxus wasn't happy about it but was happy to know that I passed." Kale smiled
"Well now that you're old enough we could really use you on jobs now." Gray smiled
"Yeah another Dragon Slayer to give us boosts in battles." Natsu exclaimed
"Wait don't you get motion sickness?" Wendy asked
"Mine doesn't affect me greatly like you guys. I had to train myself day and night to the point I only feel slightly nauseous." Kale aforementioned
After a while everyone had gone home. Kale sat upon the roof of the Fairy Tail guild as he looked into the night sky. He could feel his chest becoming warm as he smiled to himself.
"Don't worry Zelenia. You'll be reunited soon we just need to keep investigating."Kale said within his subconscious
