Kale Neoma was stretching as he prepared for his fight which went unannounced and was only known to the announcers. Kale was visited by grand-godmother Mavis Vermillion. She observed his older form seeing an image of his mother, Alya.

"Are you ready?" Mavis asked

"Yes I am, my mistress." Kale replied

"I'm unsure of your opponent apparently he's a new recruit of Raven Tail." Mavis said

"Whomever they are, I'll be sure to put them down quickly." Kale smiles

The announcers were reading the call sheets when read off the next contenders after the battle of Wendy Marvell and Sherria Blendy.

"Alright everybody will the next contenders step into the arena! Hailing from Fairy Tail, it's Kale Neoma! His opponent, the newest recruit to Raven Tail, Clover Solaria!" Chapati Lola announced

It was like time had slowed down as both young men locked eyes with each other. Their bodies vibrated on sync with their heartbeat.

Clover looked to be around Natsu's age. His hair was colored a deep orange while his eyes were a deep maroon. His skin was a light russet color.

"He kind of looks like Natsu but more angry and arrogant." Lucy said

"What's that supposed to mean?" Natsu pouted angrily

"What's the meaning of this?" Makarov asked

"I want to see how much he's grown. Seeing if my prediction will be true." Mavis answered

"That's him child." Zelenia said within Kale's subconscious

"That's the host?" Kale asked

"Yes, but he seems lost and very cold." Zelenia answered

"Seems you already figured it out." Clover said snapping Kale's attention

"That's right, I'm the guy you're looking for, and you're the one I've been looking for." Clover said

Once the announcer began the fight Clover and Kale disappeared from everyone's sight. Suddenly craters formed throughout the arena before both boys reappeared in the center holding hands trying to overpower one another.

"You're strong I'll give you that much." Clover said with an evil smile

"You shouldn't underestimate a fellow dragon." Kale responded with a smirk

"Dragon?" Natsu questioned

Everyone was puzzled as Natsu heard Kale's response. They disconnected from each other as Clover got on all fours he was surrounded by an aura of fire.

"Solar Dragon...ROAR!" Clover bellowed

An intense beam of fire was directed at Kale. Kale stood there until the beam was deflected and dispersed into the sky.

"He deflected it, but how?!" Clover questioned within his subconscious

Clover's eyes widened as Kale's body began to glow a gentle white. His wounds were healing as he got into a defensive stance before he began to inhale deeply. Once he reached his full capacity he began to whisper an incantation.

"By the moon and the stars, I summon your power. Celestial Dragon...ROAR!" Kale screamed

It looked like a tornado escaped Kale's mouth as Clover tried his best to dodge it, but he took on the brunt of the attack. Once the magic disappeared Clover fell to his knees slowly falling onto his back. The announcer was about to deem Kale the winner of the battle before Kale was suddenly grabbed and Clover began to beat Kale mercilessly with Kale fighting back.

Meanwhile the Fairy Tail guild was at a lost for words. As the battle raged on a lot of unanswered questions were being asked to Makarov and Mavis.

"I thought Kale was the only Dragon Slayer left?" Natsu questioned

"With every magic there will always be an opposite to it." Makarov answered

"This implies that boy is a Dragon Slayer who harnesses Solar Magic." Mavis says

Both Kale and Clover stood in the center of the arena as their clothes were torn to shreds. They looked to be out of magic as they both fell to their knees exhausted.

"I'm...not...done...yet..." Clover growled as he slowly stood up

"I will win this fight and when I do I will take your magic." Clover said as he slowly stalked over towards Kale

Once Clover was in close range he summoned the last of his magic to perform another dragon roar as Kale just smiled. This caught Clover off guard as Kale cancelled out the magic with a kiss when he entered Clover's subconscious. Everyone stood in shock before Kale released himself from Clover as the other dragon slayer fell unconscious deeming Kale the winner.

Kale was taken to the infirmary along with Clover. Kale was greeted by Mavis and Makarov as he slowly opened his eyes.

"Hey Grandpa." Kale smiles weakly

"You little rascal, you gave quite the performance out there." Makarov smiles

"What did you find out?" Mavis asked

"He's upset, angry. All his life he's been abandoned having no place to call home. His dragon, Freyr, took him in and stayed by his side until he woke up one day to find him gone. He blames Freyr and lashed out on everyone he comes into contact with." Kale responds

"Well now that you two are together perhaps you can show him his good side." Mavis smiles

"Together?" Makarov questions

"The dragons within their bodies have been trying to find each other and become one." Mavis responds as Makarov turns red

Clover had awakened but was too stiff. He looked at his chest to find his guild mark was burned off his body. He tried to sit up until he was levitated by magic. He turned slowly to see the boy who had defeated him.

"What are you doing runt?" Clover questioned

"I'm healing you." Kale answered

"Why? Once again I've been abandoned since I lost to you." Clover growled

"No matter where you go we will always find each other. Instead of running why not come join Fairy Tail?" Kale inquires

Clover looks over at Kale who's smiling. He feels that same weird feeling as he feels nervous with butterflies fluttering in his stomach. He turns away blushing with embarrassment as he mutters under his breath.

Kale places a hand on Clover's chest as a Fairy Tail mark appeared. Clover sat up being able to move as he looked at Kale before angrily ruffling his hair.
