Marinette thought she heard a melody from a distant shore as she headed to the beach.

She remembered vividly when she and Viperion had another "date" here; it was one of the happiest times of her life. But tonight, the night was so dark, and the salty air was harsh. But washed ashore was another piece of Viperion's harp.

This time, Marinette was almost afraid to grab it. But then she realized she couldn't let Viperion's precious harp get washed away.

The blinding light once again took her to another time when the sunlight warmed the two of them as they soaked their feet in the water. The smiles between Marinette and Viperion didn't fade during their beautiful beach day. Present Marinette noted how bold the two of them were.

Because of the declarations they made…

"Maybe I could let you join me on missions Marinette…"

Marinette gasped like Viperion had just given her the world on a silver platter. Viperion responded by grinning and shrugging.

"I mean, you helped me out so much and risked your life for me," Viperion cleared his throat, thinking about how close Marinette was all those times. "And I need to protect you. I will always be there to protect you…"

Marinette's blue eyes sparkled as Viperion continued.

"I'm just saying you are practically my partner, and no harm will come to you as long as I am around. I just wanted to tell you where I stand…"

Marinette said nothing; she rushed through the water, and a loud splash from the waves crashed as she caught the snake hero off guard by taking his hands. But Viperion was also taken aback by the determination in her eyes.

"I want that more than anything Viperion!"

Viperion smiled warmly, feeling grateful. And even if their relationship never became officially romantic, as the two of them were too nervous to go too far, Marinette moved a bit closer, wanting to show her gratitude in the best way she could, and Viperion met her in the middle. His beautiful teal eyes glittered as Marinette bravely pressed her lips against his. For a snake boy, his lips were surprisingly sweet. The two of them savored the moment as they enjoyed each other's taste and wrapped each other safely in their arms. When the kiss broke, Marinette couldn't help but giggle.

"That was amazing!" Marinette said.

Viperion chuckled in return and tenderly rested his forehead on hers. "It's the highlight of my superhero life," he said smoothly.

"Ooh! Is that so?" Marinette teased.

Viperion shot her a look, but Marinette pondered.

"It is certainly the highlight of my entire life; I love you, Viperion. I always did…"

Viperion couldn't help but initiate a kiss next, and this time, Marinette felt the fireworks from being kissed by her hero this time. But their kiss was cut short by a rushing wave, giving them a chill.

But the two of them laughed it off as they started a fun water fight. Past Marinette felt her heart break even more watching Viperion and Marinette play in the water without a care in the world, thinking they would have an entire lifetime to love each other.

The memory faded, and Marinette was tethered back to the present. It felt like Marinette was a hollow shell of herself with a bag full of broken harp pieces glowing brighter in her bag. She just knew she would find Viperion.

At a distance, Marinette saw a green light that nearly touched the stars. It signified Viperion teleporting; even if it was far away, she knew where she would find him.

Marinette safely clutched the bag as she ran for that green light, even if the night was ticking away.

I'm coming for you Viperion!
