Chapter 30: The Ice Guardian & The Winter Spirit! Glaceon and Hisuian Zoroark!
While everyone was getting settled for dinner, Cynthia noticed Michael carrying a random bowl of Pokémon food over to the tent's entrance.
Cynthia - "May I ask what the bowl of food's for Michael?"
Michael gently placed the bowl down before turning to answer Cynthia.
Michael - "I know that none of you guys saw it. But my aura powers let me see a pair of eyes eying where we entered the tent."
Twilight heard the last end of the conversation and joined in.
Twilight - "So what are you gonna about them?"
Michael - "For now, just leave this bowl of food out for them. Something tells me that they'll get hungry sooner or later. And when they do, we can see if they need help."
As everyone ate, they all snuck a glance every so often to see if the bowl was taken outside. Just as dinner was wrapping up, Espeon saw movement out of the corner of her eye. Everyone then watched as she slowly crept towards the tent entrance. Within a few moments, Espeon had snagged the unknown person or creature in her psychic grasp.
Espeon - "Gotcha!"
? - "Hey! Let me go!"
To no one's shock, the voice belonged to that of a Pokémon.
Michael - "Who's our mysterious Pokémon Espeon?"
Espeon - "That's just it. It looks like a Zorua."
Twilight - "Bring the little one inside."
As Espeon came back in the tent, the others were shock at her catch.
Michael - "That's not just any Zorua. That's a HISUIAN Zorua."
Rainbow - "Is that rare?"
Michael - "Oh it's VERY rare my dear Rainbow. That's mainly due to the fact that both the Hisuian forms of Zorua and its evolved form, Zoroark, are the ONLY two Pokémon to be dual Normal and Ghost-Type."
Cynthia - "That's amazing to know."
Michael - "Not only that. Both of their regional forms have the Illusion ability. Which lets them come into battle as the last member of your current team. But even if the Hisuian forms don't use their ability, the raging blizzards do act as a good cover for them. Now then. What is it that you need help with little one?"
Zorua - "First off I do apologize if I scared any of you at all."
Ruby - "Don't worry about it Zorua. Michael's powers were helpful in telling us that you were completely harmless."
Zorua - "That's good to hear. Anyway. What I need help with is that I'm trying to find someone to help my sister feel better."
Twilight - "She's not feeling well?"
Zorua - "Sadly no. Big sis Glaceon came down with some kind of illness a couple of weeks ago. And she hasn't been getting any better…"
? - "What were the systems she first showed?"
Everyone turned to see Leafeon walking over.
Zorua - "Miss Leafeon? What are you doing all the way out here?"
Leafeon - "Michael here is my trainer. Now again please answer my question."
Zorua - "Oh right. A few weeks ago, Glaceon had returned from making sure that everyone was ok. The two of us and mom went to bed like normal. But then during the following morning, Glaceon wasn't acting like her chipper self. Soon she was getting tired more often, enough to the point where mom forced her to take strict bed rest till she got better. But she still hasn't despite the bed rest…"
Michael looked over to see Leafeon's serious expression.
Michael - "What's the matter Leafeon?"
Leafeon - "You remember how sick I was when you, Espeon, and Delcatty found me in Eterna Forest?"
Michael - "I do. Wait. You don't think…"
Leafeon - "…that Glaceon somehow caught the exact same illness I did? Yes, I do think so. And I say that cause I had the exact same symptoms I did when I first got sick."
Michael pondered what to do for a few seconds with the new info that Leafeon gave him. He then quickly came to a decision.
Michael - "Azura. Go grab your med kit. We've got a Pokémon to assist."
Azura - "Right."
Michael - "Zorua. You have the strength to lead us to where Glaceon and your mom are?"
Zorua - "Of course I do. Just leave it to me."
Michael - "Good. Leafeon. I'm also gonna have you, Espeon, Incineroar, and Corviknight join us as well."
Ruby - "You sure such a small team is enough Michael?"
Michael - "Getting Azura to Glaceon is the main task right now. Zorua's our guide. Incineroar's gonna be our lantern. Along with assisting me in acting as the group's bodyguards. Espeon and Leafeon are both Eeveelutions like Glaceon, so the two of them will act as Glaceon's moral support alongside Zorua. And in case Glaceon needs to be rushed to the Pokémon Center in Snowpoint City, I'll use Corviknight to get us there."
Twilight - "You guys just be careful then."
Michael - "We will Twilight."
Soon the group of seven were suited up. After saying their good-byes, they set out into the snowstorm filled wilderness. The trek through the blizzard and deep snow was a tough one. But after what felt like forever, they finally arrived at a good sized cave.
Michael - "Is this the place Zorua?"
Zorua - "Yes it is. Mom! I brought help for Glaceon!"
As the others followed Zorua inside, they watched as she rushed over to her mother, a Hisuian Zoroark. She was carrying a pair of buckets full of snow.
Zoroark - "Hello dears. Terribly sorry I can't welcome you inside right now."
Espeon - "You have any more buckets?"
Zoroark - "A good two dozen including the ones I'm carrying here."
Espeon - "I'll use my psychic powers to bring the rest of them in then. Azura. Follow Zoroark and begin Glaceon's check-up. Incineroar. Leafeon. You both go as well and help when needed."
Michael - "I'll stay out here and keep guard over the entrance then."
Soon everyone quickly got to work. After a good hour or two, Azura walked out.
Michael - "How's Glaceon doing sis?"
Azura - "She doing fine for now. I'm just hoping the fever she has breaks quickly. If it gets any worse, we may be forced to take her to Nurse Joy in Snowpoint City."
Michael - "Well I'm still ready for when that moment does happen."
Zoroark - "Excuse me. Michael, is it?"
Michael - "Do you need something Zoroark?"
Zoroark - "Well…"
Leafeon - "Azura! Something's wrong with Glaceon! It seems like she suddenly got worse!"
Azura then quickly rushed back into the room. After a few moments, she called out to her brother.
Azura - "Michael! Get Corviknight ready now!"
Michael - "Already on it!"
Corviknight was brought out and quickly informed of the current situation.
Michael - "Think you can get us to Snowpoint City as fast as possible?"
Corviknight - "Just leave it to me!"
Soon Michael, Azura, Espeon, Leafeon, Zorua, and a very ill Glaceon were on Corviknight's back.
Michael - "Sure you can take all six of us at once girl?"
Corviknight - "This is nothing."
Michael - "Incineroar. You know what to do, right?"
Incineroar - "Yeah. Head back to the others. Along with bringing Zoroark here along with me."
Michael - "Good. We'll see you and the others in Snowpoint City then."
Incineroar - "Stay safe!"
Corviknight then took off, heading for Snowpoint City as fast as she count. Meanwhile, Incineroar led Zoroark back to the others. After they were all informed about Glaceon's current status, the party agreed to go to sleep and head straight for Snowpoint City right after breakfast. During the following morning, everyone, including Zoroark, ate breakfast. Then they quickly packed up and made their way to Snowpoint City. After a good couple hours trek, the party arrived at Snowpoint City. They then quickly arrived at the Pokémon Center, where they found Michael, Espeon, Leafeon, Corviknight, and Zorua eating breakfast as well.
Girls - "Michael!"
Michael - "There you all are."
Michael quickly hugged everyone, including those of his Pokémon that had stayed behind with the others. Twilight then handed Michael back the capsule the tent was in.
Twilight - "How's Glaceon?"
Michael - "It was touch and go at first. But she's been slowly getting better throughout the night. In fact, she should be getting released soon."
Ruby - "That's good to hear."
? - "And don't forget about me too."
The others then turned to the woman that had been sitting with Michael when they arrived. Gardenia and Cynthis noticed who she was right away.
Gardenia - "What are you doing here Candice?"
Candice - "I heard about what happened to Glaceon. Michael here was kind enough to inform me about what happened, as well as what's been going on with Teams Galactic and Neo Plasma lately."
Before the conversation could continue, Nurse Joy came out from the back, with Chansey pushing out Glaceon and Zorua on a trolly.
Glaceon/Zorua - "Mom!/Mommy!"
Zoroark - "Sweethearts!"
Everyone smiled as they watched the scene in front of them. Then the trio slowly broke apart.
Zoroark - "I'm so happy to see that the both of you are ok."
Zorua - "All thanks to Michael and Azura."
Michael - "By the way Zoroark. Since I had Nurse Joy check over Zorua while she was going to bring out Glaceon, I can have her do the same for you right now if you want?"
Zoroark - "Sure thing then."
Michael then escorted Zoroark over to Nurse Joy, who kindly took Zoroark to the back. After a few moments, they both returned.
Nurse Joy - "All three Pokémon are back to full health. But I'd also advise to give Glaceon a couple extra days of rest before she can get into any kind of training."
Michael - "Sure thing Nurse Joy. And by the way Zoroark. You want me to take care of these two, don't you?"
Zoroark looked at Michael, then at her daughters and closed her eyes.
Zoroark - "Yes. I do."
Glaceon - "Mom. Are you sure about this?"
Zoroark - "I am Glaceon. You and Zorua are old enough to make your own decisions. And as far as I'm concerned, Michael's the best trainer you two could've found. So I already know you two are in good hands."
Michael - "And I already signed the paper work about Glaceon. Besides, I've love to have the both of you join us. But I'm leaving the decision entirely up to you both."
Michael then brought out a pair of Ultra Balls and placed them in front of him. Glaceon and Zorua shared a glance with each other, then walked over and tapped the button on an Ultra Ball and were sucked into them.
One shake.
Two shakes.
Three shakes.

Michael smiled as he walked over and picked up his two newest catches.
Michael - "Alright! I just caught a Glaceon and a Hisuian Zorua! Come back out you two!"
Both Glaceon and Zorua then came back out and got to know the others. Meanwhile, Zoroark went to return to Route 217. But Michael stopped her for a second.
Michael - "Zoroark. Be careful getting back. Ok?"
Zoroark - "I will."
Glaceon - "Bye mom! Take care!"
Zorua - "We'll miss you!"
Everyone watched as Zoroark exited the Pokémon Center's doors. She then jumped along the town's roofs and forest's trees as she made her way back home.
