Inko was a bundle of nerves and stress as she paced the length of her kitchen. It had been hours since she had received a call from recovery girl telling her that her son, her only family left in this world, had hurt himself critically.
Somehow and someway he had managed to finally awaken his quirk during the UA entrance exam. Normally this would have made her explode with happiness that her baby boy could finally achieve his dream, one that she had long ago denied him.
But from what the elderly pro hero had said Izuku's injuries were caused by his quirk, a incredibly powerful strength enhancer that had let him destroy a giant building sized robot.
A incredibly power he had always wanted, a incredibly power that shredded his muscles and broke his bones.
A power she had given him.
Inko had always hated how she had never given her Izuku a quirk of his own, be it her own weak telekinesis or even his blasted quirkist father's fire breath. She spent countless sleepless nights berating herself for not being the mother she herself had always wanted to be, a mother who could provide her child with everything they need to succeed.
Yet she had failed and because of her failure Izuku had spent his life in a pit of loneliness and despair.
Now, 10 years later, she learns that he did have a quirk, she had given him the tools to achieve his dream.
But to do so was to break his body over and over again.
Even if she had succeeded in giving her baby a quirk all it turned out to do was hurt him in ways that would make most people beg for death.
Even in the end she had failed him. Why could she have give him a normal quirk?
One like hers. It was much weaker then any quirk she had seen pro heroes have but she knew that Izuku could have made it better, useful, powerful.
If she could she would have ripped her quirk straight out of her body and given it to him. With it he could have achieved his dream without sacrificing himself like he would not doubt do without hesitation.
It was this thought that looped in her mind as Izuku opened the front door. He had a awful sorrowful look on his face that didn't suit him and bandages covering both his hands.
Without another word Inko leap at her son and dragged him into a hug. He didn't resist as they both fell to their knees with tears flowing like rivers. They didn't say anything as they sobbed in each other's arms, uncaring how their tears mixed or how some of Inko's regret and unspoken wish filled tears were unknowingly swallowed by Izuku.
No one could have imagined how such a small, inconsequential thing would bring such great change to the story of the world's greatest hero.

Yoichi Shigaraki had seen many things he had thought impossible, even before becoming a vestige in his own quirk. But seeing how one for all was reacting to the ninth brought tears of joy to his long dead eyes.
It had finally reached singularity and was evolving in ways that confused and startled him. He could see that the base power had jumped much, much higher then any other user before. Which made sense to the ninth's inability to control or withstand his new quirks power.
The other more meaningful change was that he could feel one for all drawing power from the other vestiges in a more powerful and intimate way. I'd his guess was right young Izuku would be able to draw out the quirks from his predecessors.
This was something he had never thought possible but he couldn't deny the proof in before of him.
And deep within Yoichi's soul he knew that the ninth would finally achieve one for all's true goal. He knew that Izuku would be the one to stop all for one for good.
That thought was brought both comfort and sadn-
What the hell?
Why did one for all grow so suddenly like that?
It was as if it had absorbed another quirk. But that was impossible, the ninth had gone to sleep hours ago after falling asleep with his mother. Both had been drained so thoroughly that they had barely been able to drag themselves to their beds. No one was near Izuku so how did-
"What the FUCK?" The first yelled.
Before Yoichi a new light green figure started to form within the void of one for all's mind space. His yelling had draw the attention of the other 7 vestiges and they all felt their jaws drop as the new vestige finally materialise.
Before them stood a short plum women with green hair and eyes. She in return stared at them with confusion before awareness kicked in.
"AAAAAH!" She screamed making the other vestiges closest to her scream as well.

Izuku woke up feeling oddly energetic and aware of his surroundings, like he was could feel everything around him from the all might merchandise that filled his room to the follicles floating in the air, it like if he metaphorically squinted he could see the individual ato-
"I AMMM HEREEEEEE" Screamed his limited edition all might alarm clock jolting him from his thoughts and back into the real world.
Once he was dressed and ready for the day he walked into the kitchen to find his mother standing at the stove reheating last night's dinner that had be left uneaten after last night. Inko turn and smiled at Jim "morning darling, did you sleep well?".
Izuku sat at the table as he answered "morning mom, I did but I had a really weird dream".
"Did you? Was it about all might?" Inko asked as she set the table with bowls of divine smelling food.
"Kind of... all might was there and so were you, but there were 7 other strangely dressed people I don't recognise and you all were screaming at each other" Izuku answered while scrunching his face in bafflement.
Inko mirrored her son's expression before settling down across from him "now would you like to tell me how the exam went? I only heard you got hurt but nothing else". At her question Izuku felt his mood drop but he powered on and explained his exam.
As he spoke he saw Inko point her hand at the salt shaker. He had seen her do this thousands of times and had expected the shaker to slowly float to her like it had every other time.
But when he saw her frown and the salt shaker remaining stationary he stopped his retelling "you ok mom?".
Inko continued to frown as the shaker refused to move "I am fine honey, I must be more tired then I thought. Could you pass me the salt?".
Izuku frowned in worry but wordlessly reached for the salt. Only for it to shoot off like a rocket out of hell straight into Izuku's outstretched hand.
Both Izuku and Inko stated at the shaker that sat lifelessly in the green haired boy's hand like nothing out if the ordinary had happed.
Numbly Izuku placed the shaker down in front of him before reaching for it again.
Like before the shaker flew through the air into the awaiting hand like Izuku had a telekinesis quirk.
Wait, not like a telekinesis quirk. It was a telekinesis quirk!
Izuku looked up at his mother in slack jaw wonder and disbelief "I... it just... how is it... I don't have".
Izuku looked at his mother for confirmation that this was real, but all he saw was a look of joy on his mother's face was so bright it was almost hurt to look at.
She looked like her every wish had come true and her birthday had cone early.
