(Author's Note: Hello my readers, and welcome to my latest installment.

Originally, this was only ever meant to be a one-shot…but then I realized that I had some other headcanons that I either didn't mention or came to believe in the time afterward.

(Plus, I wanted to put out something that I could get out…quicker than other installments:/)

TRIGGER WARNING! TRIGGER WARNING! This "chapter" will contain a brief reference to suicidal thoughts. I know that suicide can be a VERY triggering topic for some people, so PLEASE don't read this if the topic will trigger you. My stories are only ever intended for the enjoyment of others, NEVER to cause any issues with anyone. I'm totally fine with this one being skipped as long as everyone is okay.

Anyway…so I hope you guys enjoy:)

Alma

-For a LONG time after Pedro's death, Alma couldn't bear to let the triplets out of her sight.

-Although Alma is the (universally agreed upon) leader of the entire Encanto, she set up a "Council" with various others to fairly "rule" their village not long after its creation.

-Although Alma's main reason for putting her family in the village's service was because she was terrified that they'd lose everything if they didn't prove "worthy" of their Miracle, she was also aware that many would naturally fear her family's "unnatural power" and wanted to calm their nerves (and keep those fears from transforming into violent actions).

Julieta

-Is absolutely one of those people who will lecture others about relaxing to maintain their physical and mental health…and proceed to turn right around and ignore her own needs to take a break (fully accepting her status as a "hypocrite" after decades of teasing from her siblings).

-Despite Alma raising her to always use her Gift to heal the community, it's possible for villagers to anger Julieta enough to where she'd outright refuse to heal them unless they were literally dying (usually done from someone hurting her family). Due to Julieta's compassionate nature, however, many of the villagers will actually support these few instances of refusal (knowing that anyone who could anger Julieta THAT much deserves her response).

Pepa

-During her youth, Pepa was always willing to fight if someone was picking on her siblings.

-Pepa fell in love with Felix at first sight but refused to admit it for quite a while.

Bruno

-Ever since he was a kid, Bruno has created countless stories to entertain both himself and others (partially due to his own creativity, and partially due to what he's seen through his visions across the decades).

-Although he never actually attempted, Bruno has suffered from suicidal thoughts for many years (1).

-There was a period of years from his very late teens to mid(ish) twenties where Bruno's "reputation" had made him attractive to some of the women within the Encanto, leading to dates and relationships here and there (2).

-Bruno is absolutely considered all of the grandchildren's "Favorite Tio".

-After his vision on the night of Mirabel's ceremony, Bruno attempted to leave the Encanto…only to return to Casita when he couldn't figure out how to leave (initially choosing to hide within Casita's walls temporarily, before the "We Don't Talk About Bruno" rule convinced him that his family didn't want him around). (3)

-Despite living in the walls of Casita for ten years (with limited food and proper sunlight), Bruno is much more athletic than he looks (4).

-Although he never had children, Bruno always wanted to be a father.

Felix

-Although he prefers to try to de-escalate any conflicts through words, he is ABSOLUTELY ready to throw hands with anyone who messes with his family (especially his wife and children).

-He's always the parent that Dolores and Camilo would go to talk about most of their troubles (especially involving their Gifts), as they don't want to stress their mother out more than she usually is.

Agustin

-Although he wasn't "on board" with Alma seemingly pushing Isabela and Mariano into a relationship, he allowed it to happen because he was convinced that his eldest daughter genuinely wanted to marry the Guzmán boy…although he ABSOLUTELY threatened him about what would happen if he hurt or disrespected his daughter in any capacity (5).

-During the first few weeks of their marriage, Agustin would help Julieta in the kitchen to the best of his abilities. After a handful of "incidents", it was pretty universally agreed by the family that Agustin should help…elsewhere.

Isabela

-Due to being the "Golden Child", Isabela felt like she had to mature quickly. Part of this manifested in rarely confiding in her parents or asking them for help (thinking that she had to handle matters on her own), leaving her feeling jealous of her sisters being able to do that without issue.

-Throughout the years, Isabela would secretly experiment with her Gift in her room during the night (though she'd always get rid of them by morning, and wouldn't do so on a "large scale" until after Casita's collapse and restoration).

Dolores

-Although she's good at hiding it, Dolores has felt jealousy over Isabela throughout the years (not only because of Mariano but because the villagers' reaction to their Gifts left Dolores feeling "lesser" than her cousin).

-Dolores learned about Bruno's telenovelas accidentally one day during his time in the walls. She told him about her discovery during one of her "visits", and they quickly became the two's favorite subject during conversations (especially after he left the walls).

Luisa

-After gaining her Gift, Luisa was terrified of accidentally breaking something or (especially) hurting someone through her strength. Although this motivated her to quickly learn control, this led to a short period of life where she had to avoid most physical contact with others (which she still regards as the most miserable period of her life).

-Because of her seemingly limitless strength and invincible skin, Luisa has always viewed herself as the protector of both her family and the Encanto itself (6).

-Although Luisa's super-strength manifested as soon as she touched her door, her near-invincible skin didn't (as her skin started gradually growing tougher throughout the years).

Camilo

-Although Camilo pulls pranks on a near-daily basis, he will immediately apologize if he genuinely hurts someone's feelings.

-While it may not have been as bad as for Isabela, Camilo felt pressured to behave in a certain way growing up due to being the first Madrigal grandson (especially after Bruno's deteriorated reputation throughout the Encanto).

-Camilo is the kind of person who will usually say what everyone is thinking and/or what needs to be said…but doesn't say so with the necessary "tact" (another trait that he shares with Bruno).

Mirabel

-Although she and Camilo were best friends, she found it "difficult" to be around him after her ceremony (this, combined with Camilo's belief that he had to perform and show off (7), resulted in the two's relationship slowly "deteriorating" until after Casita's collapse).

-Mirabel's accordion was given to her by her father, who was also the first to teach her the enjoyment of making music (mostly done to cheer her up after her ceremony).

Antonio

-Because of his sunny disposition (combined with being the "baby" of the Madrigals), Antonio could always brighten up his family's day with just his presence alone.

-Antonio was the only other grandchild who didn't feel jealous and "less than" due to Isabela's status as the "Golden Child" of the Encanto (and Abuela's obvious favorite). (8)

-In the weeks leading up to his ceremony, Antonio was concerned about whether the family (specifically Abuela) would still love him if he didn't get a Gift.

-Mirabel is Antonio's favorite relative (and favorite person in the whole world). Because of this, he gets very angry when he sees people being mean to her.

Casita

-The magical rooms in Casita (which were created to give the Madrigals a place to fully relax and practice their Gifts) are tied to their owner's emotions, slowly changing to adapt to their mental states.

-Although Casita usually obeys Alma above all else, she will ABSOLUTELY disobey her if it means protecting the family (separating fighting Madrigals, not allowing anyone who has physically harmed a Madrigal to enter, etc.).

Pedro

-Pedro knitted the triplets' baby blankets himself…which took him nearly Alma's entire pregnancy to complete (and remained one of the triplets' most cherished possessions growing up).

-Although Pedro genuinely tried to convince the attackers to spare the refugees, part of him also believed that he was going to die that night (hoping that he could, at the very least, allow his wife and children time to escape).

Madrigal Family (as a whole)

-On the night that the (magical) Madrigals were given their powers, they were only given access to a fraction of their full potential.

-No matter how "calm" any of them may be or what type of conflicts exist between any of them…every last Madrigal is ready and willing, to jump to the defense of their family if the situation demands it.

The Miracle

-Although the spirit of the Miracle is an extraordinarily powerful, god-like being, its power is centered around the valley where the Encanto was created. While its power can extend past the borders, it grows weaker the further from the Encanto it goes.

-The spirit of the Miracle cannot die so long as the family's bonds remain strong.

Mariano Guzmán

-Despite how much he enjoys writing poetry, it's something that he only shares with those that he loves and trusts the most (knowing that it's not a "hobby" that many think he should have). (9)

-Mariano had been friends with Isabela and Dolores since childhood.

Villagers

-For the first few months after the Encanto's formation, many of the villagers were secretly fearful of Casita and the "force" that saved them (concerned that Alma was either a witch or made some sort of bargain with the Devil). They were also afraid of the triplets when their powers manifested, but Alma was able to alleviate their concerns.

-Señor Flores is the Encanto's second priest, having taken over the role from his father.

(Author's Note: Annnnnnnnnnd SCENE!

(1): Now…this is quite heavy.

Many people in this fandom have the belief that Bruno attempted to commit suicide at some point during his life. Personally? I kinda don't know if this is a headcanon that I believe.

I do, however, believe that Bruno contemplated at some point. For me, it'd be kinda surprising if he didn't. The man was a pariah in his village for DECADES, dealing with fear and hatred from the people that he was only trying to help (by doing something that he didn't WANT to do in the first place). The very fact that he chose to hide within the walls of Casita says plenty about how bad his life was those first forty years. Choosing to hide inside your house's walls? Seemingly with no plan to ever leave or interact with your family? It's clear that most of Bruno's life was NOT good and that it definitely left its scars0_0

(2): I've noticed that a lot of people seem to think of Bruno as "Aromatic Asexual" (meaning that he doesn't feel romantic love or sexual attraction, respectively), seemingly because he's a fifty-year-old man without a wife or children. I've noticed that a LOT of people hold these gender/sexuality beliefs about the characters in this movie…usually based on very specific things with other explanations.

"Isabela didn't want to marry Mariano, so she MUST be gay", instead of simply not wanting to be forced to marry one specific man…"Luisa is a muscular woman, so she MUST be trans", instead of simply bulking up due to lifting BUILDINGS every day since she was five…"Camilo is a shapeshifter, so he MUST be pansexual and genderfluid", instead of simply being a shapeshifter. I'm not getting on anyone who holds these headcanons; I'm just saying that I've noticed how often they appear:/

(PS, I'm not necessarily saying that I believe that Bruno was some kind of "Ladies Man". I just think see a FEW women being attracted to Bruno due to his reputation. You know…all that "Bad Boy" shit:/)

(3): There's no way in HELL that Bruno's initial plan was to hide within Casita forever. I'd say that he tried to "properly leave" first (mentioning how tall the mountains were around the Encanto in the film), only to come back shortly after. Choosing to hide until he knew what to do, I think that hearing his family wanting to literally deny his existence is what convinced him to stay away for good.

(4): I mentioned this in my "Journeys into the Multiverse" story, but Bruno is quite a lot faster and stronger than he looks at first glance. Not only was he able to outrun someone almost a quarter his age (I know that he had a head start, but him staying in front of a teenager fully sprinting at him is no easy feat for someone who's not specifically athletic), but he was able to catch and hold her after she fell (the average fifteen-year-old weighing around one-hundred and fifteen pounds, and he didn't even drop her…the weakened floor gave out).

(5): I know that a lot in this fandom believe Agustin to be "weak" and "goofy", but his scene with Alma shows that he will NOT tolerate anyone's shit if it means protecting his children. I believe he is 100% the kind of father who will threaten any partner that his girls bring home (probably involving that axe:/).

(6): Obviously, I'm not saying that has infinite strength and invulnerability…but I do believe that she'd think that she does. Simply because there's nothing in the Encanto that she can't lift, overpower, or break, and there's not really anything left in the village that can injure her skin.

(7): This was confirmed via "Word of God". I believe that the pressure Camilo felt was a combination of being the last Madrigal to get a Gift and being given such a "flashy" Gift.

(8): I actually thought of this as I was writing, but it makes perfect sense that every other grandchild would be jealous of Isabela.

Dolores is similar in age to her, but got a less "flashy" Gift and got pushed into Isabela's shadow (having her betrothed to the man she was in love with probably different help matters:/).

Luisa probably does more for the Encanto than any other Madrigal (Julieta is the only one who'd realistically come close), but people take her work for granted. Isabela, on the other hand, grows a few flowers and people practically hail her as a Goddess.

Camilo's deal is making people happy like Isabela. Unlike Isabela, however, Camilo can (in his mind) only do it by being anyone but himself.

Mirabel? Well…we saw in the film about how the neglected child feels about the golden one:/

As for Antonio, I believe that he wouldn't feel this for two reasons: first of all, he's still a child (and a cheery one at that). Second of all, he's the baby of the family (meaning that the attention and adoration he'd get would be similar).

(9): I first saw this from someone else, but it made a lot of sense to me. For a big, strong man like Mariano (especially in the past), it's easy to see that there would be those who would think that poetry isn't something that he should be "focusing on".

-So…yeah. Just something to put out that I hope you guys enjoyed.

Will this get any further additions? I have no idea. It's possible…but ONLY if any ideas come to mean (please don't leave me any of your headcanons; just because you believe it doesn't necessarily mean that I will:/).

Constructive Criticism ONLY…no flames allowed.
