We followed the golden dragons to a huge balcony located in the middle of the castle where we landed and the dragons turned to eye us.

"You will now be in the presence of the God Dragon Bahamut King of the Metallic Dragons. I suggest that you pay him due respect."

I looked at Ugin as he pulled me gently out of the safety of my pouch and held me in his hand. The female dragon spoke seeing the brace on my leg.

"Did this horrible dragon do that to you?" She asked me in common.

"No, I replied, appalled. "I told you, Ugin is my father. I have had this injury since I was little." To add emphasis to my point I hugged him tightly.

A moment later a huge dragon appeared three or even four times the size of Ugin who himself was about forty feet long. This dragon radiated with light. His scales were shiny platinum like the palace we now stood in. His eyes were like blue sapphires that glowed brightly. He had a commanding presence, and the two golden dragons bowed. Ugin also bowed to him in respect. Since I could not really bow due to my leg I lowered my head as well.

The platinum dragon spoke. "There is no such need for formality here. Please sit, and be free to speak with me." Ugin sat down, still holding onto me.

"I am Ugin the Spirit Dragon, and this is my daughter Serenity. We did not mean to invade your realm, but something has happened in the blind eternities that we were forced to detour here to this plane."

Upon hearing who Ugin was the two gold dragons made gasping sounds and began to whisper to each other.

"That's Ugin," the male whispered. I thought that he would be gold like us."

Ugin, Bahamut and I continued to talk. Bahamut nodded.

"Ugin your reputation as the Guardian of the multiverse proceeds you. I am familiar with your many great deeds that have saved countless planes. We even have a book about you in our vast library." but he added, "I had no idea that you had a human daughter."

Bahamut looked at me, "and such a beautiful child at that."

I felt my face go hot. Ugin smiled, and looked at me with pride.

"I love her with all of my heart," he said softly.

"I can see that Bahamut said. Perhaps we can continue this conversation in the throne room where we all can be more comfortable. Please follow me."

Bahamut turned away, and began to lead us into the huge palace, behind us I could hear the young gold dragons whispering to one another.

"That's Ugin. I cannot believe it, the book about him is amazing." The female one said.

"I know, but a human daughter that's so strange to me," the male one replied.

"Yeah she is so tiny, and injured as well."

I was not sure why it was strange to them, but I did not have time to ask them.

Bahamut led us into a huge room with chairs large enough for dragons to sit on; they were carved out of all different types of metals like silver, gold, bronze, copper, and brass. There were gems along the walls. It was almost too much to take in.

"Please Ugin, take a seat, and make yourself comfortable."

Ugin complied. Picking a silver chair, and propping himself in it. He helped me out of my pouch, and settled me against his chest where I could be close to his heartbeat. Bahamut took notice of this.

"She likes to be close to you," he said.

Ugin nodded, "and I like keeping her that way."

"I see, it is wonderful to see a human, and a dragon with that close of a bond with one another."

Ugin nodded, and spoke into my mind. It's alright if you want to rest. "We are safe here." My reply was to snuggle against his chest, and began to listen to the conversation, as well as his heartbeat.

"Though I have not ventured from Celestia in some time I have heard that there has been some goings on in the blind eternities, but I cannot say what."

"Nor I, but that is only one troubling thing. My Twin brother Nicol Bolas has been brought back as a dracolich."

"I see that is indeed troubling," Bahamut said. "You have my sympathies since I also have issues with siblings. Who do you think summoned him back?"

"I cannot say, and that lack of knowledge is troubling me. He injured Serenity pretty badly in our last battle," Ugin said gently, pressing me closer to him.

"I see."

The two dragons spoke a while longer. I lay listening, but began to feel sleepy. Ugin noticed, and asked if there was a place where we could rest.

"Sera is exhausted, and I am tired as well."

"Of course Bahamut," said. "Orika please lead them to a room to rest in."

"Yes my king."

With that the female dragon led us to a huge room with a bed that was bigger than Ugin, and my lair back home on Tarkir. When Orika was gone Ugin lay down on his back, and settled me against him.

"Are you okay Serenity?" I nodded snuggling against him.

"I am fine, but I don't understand why everyone thinks that it is strange for you and me to be so close. Your my father is that not normal?"

Ugin chuckled, and put on his teacher's voice.

"Well these dragons are not like the ones that you have met before. Their politics, and morals are very different from home, and no it's not really a normal thing for dragons to do, but I love you and there is nothing that is ever going to change that."

I nodded, and hugged him tightly.

"I love you too Ugin."

Ugin asked. "What do you think of Bahamut?"

"He seems nice, and helpful, but he is not you," I said, snuggling him again.

Ugin laughed. "I am glad that you prefer me to a dragon deity."

"Of course, he is far too big to love on, I feel so tiny compared to him, you're just right," I said.

Ugin laughed out loud.

"Goodness Sera I love you."

"I love you too."

"Now get some rest. We have no idea what tomorrow holds."

I nodded, and lay my head on his heart. Ugin put his hand over me like a blanket.

"Goodnight Sera."

"Goodnight Ugin," I murmured as I drifted to sleep.

Sera's defense of me had touched me. I loved it when she called me father. I was glad that she was taking everything in her stride though I was sure that she was a little scared, I was just glad that she was alright, and as long as she was alright I was as well. After a while of meditations. I also drifted into a light, but restful sleep.
