Well here it is, the next chapter. I think I might do Dipcifica for this story. Today you'll see how some other characters changed a bit.
The next day Dipper and Mabel decided to walk throughout the town and say hi to all their old friends. They had reunited with Wendy already this morning. "I'm so glad you decided to come back this Summer," she had said sas he gave Dipper back his pine tree cap and he handed her back her lumberjack hat. First they stopped at Greasy's Dinner. The place smelled so familiar, like a mix of pancakes, fries, burgers, and salad. To the twin's surprise Pacifica was one of the waitresses. "Hey, so you dorks are back for the summer?" she asked. "Yep," Mabel answered. "Why are you here?" Dipper asked. "I thought you would think of this as a place for hobos." He wasn't sure he was ready to forgive her for the way she had treated them last summer. "Well, my family lost a lot of money because of all that; we were told to never mind because of the Never Mind All That act." Dipper and Mabel recalled about how after Weirdmagedon Mayor Tyler had decided to pass a rule that no one should talk about it-known as the Never Mind All That act. "Hey Pacifica," Mabel said,"do you want to go to the golf course if you're free sometime today?" Pacifica shook her head,"I don't have time today." "Dipper, Mabel, you're back," Lazy Susan exclaimed."Ever since Soos set up that way for those tiny men to come to Mystery Shack and be rewarded with food, they've stopped stealing my pies," Lazy Susan remarked.
After they finished eating, they took a walk throughout the town. Mayor Tyler was watching two big guys fighting outside some biker joint. "Git em! Git em!" he cheered. Pretty soon the guys gave up and went inside the biker joint. Tyler turned around and noticed Dipper and Mabel. "Well if it isn't the Pines Twins," he remarked,"are you going to be here for the whole summer again?" "Hello Mayor Tyler," Dipper and Mabel answered. "And yes, we will be here all summer," Mabel answered, "and as for a Gravity Falls we can be proud of, have you been..." She tried her best to sound like Tyler. "Gitting it?" Tyler nodded,"yeah, and if any other weirdos disrupt the town again, I'm confident that you and your uncles can handle it." Next Dipper and Mabel saw Toby Determined Aka Bodacious T playing Death Ball with some big guys who would probably hang out at the biker joint. Sandra Himeniz watched as they played and the camera rolled for the daily news. Toby noticed the twins and said," and now I'd like to take a break and invite some guests." He motioned for Dipper and Mabel to come to him. "Here I have joining me are some heroes of all that we don't speak of," he explained," Dipper and Mabel Pines! Will you be here in Gravity Falls all summer so if anything similar to that Apocalypse happened, you could be the heroes again?" Dipper nodded,"we sure could. And if anyone longs for a summer romance, I'm here for you!" Mabel declared,"you can count on me, Bodacious T." "Thank you, Pines twins," Toby answered," you've done enough for now." So Dipper and Mabel walked off the set. Later they saw Gideon. "Mabel!" He exclaimed,"you're back!" "Gideon, if you're planning to ask me out it's not going to work," Mabel informed him. "Oh I wasn't," he answered,"remember I said I'm from now on Little Gideon: Normal kid. I've changed, Mabel. I still like you but for now let's be friends again." Mabel thought for a minute. It was true that Gideon had helped them during Weirdmagedon, so maybe she should give him another chance. "I'll think about it Gideon," she answered,"see you later." when Gideon was gone, Mabel thought she saw someone run by. "Dipper, what was that?" she asked. "What?" he asked. "I think I saw someone go by," Mabel explained. "Mabel, you're probably imagining things," Dipper answered. Mabel looked back at where she thought she had seen someone,"maybe I'm just seeing things," she thought.
Then she and Dipper saw Wendy and her friends. "Dipper, Mabel!" They exclaimed. All of them ran up to the twins. Robbie, Tambery, Lee, Nate, Wendy, and Thompson. "Hey everyone!" The twins exclaimed. "I'm trying to get cast into movies as a stuntman," Thompson exclaimed. "You'll be a stuntman in no time," Mabel assured him. "Robbie, how are things going between you and Tambery?" she asked Robbie. "Great, it's still great," Robbie informed Mabel. Everyone waved and went their separate ways for now but Mabel thought that maybe she really had seen something back there. They made their way back to the Mystery Shack where Dipper went inside. But Mabel noticed a suspicious looking branch in the ground; she pulled at it and suddenly: CRACK! The ground broke beneath her. "Whoa!" she yelled then she fell to the bottom of where the ground had broken; there was a strong smell of rich damp earth. There was a tunnel dug through the wall. "Could there be something on the other side?" Suddenly she heard howling. "Wow, now I'm even more curious about this," Mabel said to herself. She slowly took a few steps and began to make her way through the tunnel it was damp and dark and she couldn't see a thing it seemed like no one had been down here in years. When she got to the end without warning a light came on. There atop some kind of shelf was a..." Journal?" Mabel asked herself. Rather than the six-fingered hand symbol on Grunkle Ford's journal, this journal was black and had a symbol of two five fingered hands that together formed the shape of a heart. She stared at it. "I can't just leave this," she thought," this could be a big mystery to solve for this summer." She took the journal, made her way back to the other way of the tunnel and climbed the ladder out of the pit with the journal under her arm. Waddles stood next to the Mystery Shack waiting for her. "Waddles! Waddles! Look what I found!" she shouted at her pig. She hurried into the Shack up to the attic. "Dipper! Dipper! Dipper! Look what I found!" she yelled. She waved the journal in front of him. "Mabel, where did you find this?" Dipper asked. "The ground broke underneath me when I pulled a lever that looked like a branch and I found a tunnel that led to the journal," she answered excitedly." But I know Grunkle Ford didn't write it because the hands have five fingers." "Did you read it?" Dipper asked. "No," she answered and slowly opened it. There was a note on the first page. "I use this journal to record my findings of half breed creatures which are creatures that come to be from the love between two different species basically meaning when two different species have an offspring. "I knew it!" Dipper exclaimed," I knew this town would have more mysteries." The twins fist bumped and exclaimed," Mystery Twins!
Mabel stayed up late at night flipping through the journal. "Wow, I'm getting all curious-y about who wrote this," she whispered. "Vampwolf, Werearian, Vamhyde, Farome, and so many others." Mabel fell asleep while reading the journal. The next day she and Dipper hurried downstairs to show the journal to Ford. "Impressive," he exclaimed ,"in my investigations I never encountered such creatures or heard of them; whoever wrote this probably knows parts of Gravity Falls I have no clue about. We should find out who it is." Soos noticed them and walked up. "Is that another journal you dudes have? Is it one of Ford's?" Mabel shook her head,"nope, we have no clue who wrote it." Wendy noticed them,"whoa, looks like a new mystery for this summer." "Soos, Wendy, have either of you seen these creatures?" Mabel asked, showing them the pictures in the journal. Soos shook his head,"I never encountered any of those dudes." "Neither have I," Wendy added. Stan walked up to Soos. "Soos, I know I don't run the shack anymore but that's not going to stop me from giving you suggestions on how to run it. Like maybe you could bring a big ape here and teach it to drive the golf cart!" "But Mr. Pines," Soos protested,"isn't that basically kidnapping?" "Well how did you get the gnomes to come to the shack?" Stan asked. "I told them if they show up at tours they get food, so they won't have to steal the townspeople's food," Soos explained. "Well, find a way to bribe the rest of those magical creatures," Stan answered,"and also make up your mind about who does what, sometimes you have Melody work at the counter and sometimes you have Wendy do it; you keep having them switch jobs." "Does it really matter what job they do?" Soos asked and walked off. "Stanley, have you seen these creatures?" Ford asked, showing him the pictures in the journal. Stan shook his head," nope, I can't say I recall seeing any of those. Soos, I'll help you with the next tour." When the tourists showed up among them was Gideon. "Gideon," Stan said hotly," what the heck are you doing on one of these tours?" "Mr. Pines," Gideon responded," I would think that you heard me that day when I said I would be a normal kid." Stan quickly shook his head. "Did you think I would just trust you so easily? You stole my property, you lied to everyone in Gravity Falls, and you kept trying to get my grandniece to date you. You think I can forgive you so easily? Fine, you can be part of the tour but don't take it personally."
Back in the basement Dipper and Mabel were trying to look for clues to who wrote the journal. "I can't see any clues to who wrote this," Mabel complained," this is just like the journals from last summer." "Wait, I have an idea," Dipper said," maybe Old Man Mcgucket could help us." Mabel nodded and the two of them headed to Old Man Mcgucket's mansion, which previously belonged to the Northwest Family. Instead of the brown overalls and scarecrow hat he wore last summer, Mcgucket now wore a brown suit. Strangely his head still had a bandage as they found out when he answered the door. "Well hornswaggle my goat knees," he exclaimed. "The Pines Twins are back in town! Come in, come in!" "Mcgucket," Dipper said," we've found this new journal; it's not Ford's though. Could it be yours?" He held the journal out to him. Mcgucket flipped through the pages muttering to himself. "Hmm... Vamelton? Werearian? nope, I don't recall ever writing something like this and I've never seen these creatures or heard of them. I have no idea who wrote this, sorry." "Oh, that's OK Mcgucket," Mabel assured him.
Back at the Mystery Shack Mabel tried to track down a Farome-a creature half gnome and half fairy. Mabel headed to where the gnomes lived, which felt so familar and there she saw Jeff who was basically the leader of the gnomes. "What is it Mabel?" Jeff asked,"you better not be asking us to do work for you." Mabel shook her head,"no, I just need to ask you a question." She took out the journal and flipped to the page about Faromes there was a sketch of one on the page. It was a little less chubbier than a gnome; it had wings and a pointy gnome hat. And it was shorter than an average gnome but taller than a fairy. Jeff's eyes widened. "Many years ago Shmebulock fell in love with a fairy, none of us approved of it we gnomes mostly keep away from fairies. But he didn't listen and they had an offspring known as a Farome named Jake, but he mostly lives with his mother and the fairies in some deep part of the woods-I can't remember where though-but from what I heard the other fairies besides his mother don't like him that much." Mabel nodded,"thanks Jeff," and then she headed out of the gnome's home. She searched until the moon came out; it was a full moon. In the distance she heard howling. She walked in the direction of it. She started to notice something. It crept closer towards her. It had the shape and look of a wolf only bigger. It was covered in black fur and had piercing golden eyes. It looked at Mabel as if expecting her to run away; she could feel its breath on her. She reached out her hand to stroke its ears but it dashed away. "Was that just a wolf?" Mabel asked," or maybe a friendly werewolf?" She stared into the forest then headed back to the Mystery Shack with the wolf's piercing golden eyes still on her mind. "Dipper, Dipper," she shook him," I saw something." Dipper rolled over and opened his eyes. "Mabel, what is it?" he asked. "I saw this big wolf," Mabel exclaimed," maybe it's a werewolf." Dipper sprung up,"a werewolf?! Mabel, are you sure?" She nodded,"I know it had to be some kind of wolf; either that or some kind of monster." She yawned, her eyes slowly closing as she fell onto Dipper's bed.
The next day Dipper and Mabel stared at the journal's pages as they watched TV, which they weren't really paying much attention to. "I would love to find these creatures," Mabel remarked." Suddenly the door bell rang. Mabel got up to answer it. And standing right outside the door was Pacifica Northwest. Unlike that time last year when she came to the Mystery Shack to ask Dipper for help ,she had been in disguise. (As seen in Northwest Mansion Mystery) This time she was definitely not trying to hide her face or anything. "Pacifica, do you need our help again?" Dipper asked her. Pacifica nodded. "I'll explain at my house; you really saved us last time so I think I can trust that you'll be able to help me again." Dipper went inside,"Mabel, Pacifica needs our help. Who knows? Maybe it could be one of the half breed creatures." Mabel sprung up. "OK, let's go." Dipper was confused,"Mabel, why are you acting like Pacifca never did anything to us?" "Well, she did sign that goodbye card Wendy gave you last Summer," Mabel pointed out,"and she doesn't seem exactly the way she used to be; I think we should give her another chance." Mabel walked towards the door and grinned,"we'll do it Pacifica." Pacifica nodded and motioned for the twins to follow her. Both of them wondered what kind of house the Northwests lived in now. Mabel kept her eyes peeled for anything unusual as they walked. Finally they came upon a huge cabin about three times the size of the Mystery Shack. "Come in and I'll tell you what the problem is," Pacifica explained. She led them into the cabin where they passed by a butler and went up the stairs to what appeared to be her room. "Wow, is this really your room Pacifica?" Mabel asked. Pacifica shrugged,"my room back at the mansion is much bigger but this is just fine. Now about the problem we've got here . . . "
Well that's it for this chapter. Next time on Return to Gravity Falls I will be introducing a new character. And about Shembulock, I learned from the book Gravity Falls Lost Legends that there are certain times when he can say more than just his name. Reviews would be great encouragement to get it posted faster.
