Ch. 27 Hestia

With Cronus' ban of pretty much everything many people have forgotten how to fly or just lost the ability to do so, and I was no exception so we ride back home in my Kawasaki h2r
Mia began cooking as soon as we got home
We chowed down on some mash potatoes and chicken
Man I love chicken
"Here's some gravy" she pours the good stuff all over my potatoes
"Mmm I love you so much" I say with a mouth full
Wait hold on…
"Soo" she sits down beside me "umm… Dione is throwing an after party and… umm"
"That's what this is, huh" I knew something was up
There had to be a reason she made me some chicken today
"What?!" She sits up "come with me, please?" she throws her arms around my neck
"Just go by yourself" I sigh
"Noo" she whines as she slowly slid onto my lap "please, you never come" she frowns
"I have the shop tomorrow, I can't." I rub her thighs
"Pweass" she frowns
I sigh "nooo I can't"
"Just for today, c'mon please" she begs "look, you don't have to take me out next Sunday, okay?" She tilts her head

Man what a headache
"Fine."
"Yay" she claps before jumping off my lap
"I'm sure everyone will be there soon so be ready in an hour" she winks
"Yeah-yeah" I sigh
She skips off into the bathroom as I just change into a pair of ankle tight cargo pants
I don't bother to wear a shirt since I had fur I thought it looked weird throwing a shirt over
But…
These scars across my chest
They always remind me of…back then
Reminds me of..
Rhea…
It took everything she had to keep our daughter alive
Ever since she's become so cold and distant
Hestia..
I just hope she doesn't pick that up from her mother and starts hating me for no good reason
I don't know what I'd do without her
She the only reason I'm still here, the only reason I haven't done anything stupid

"Hestia" I sigh
I wish I could make things right
If Oceanus would just speak to me, maybe we could figure something out
But I'll just have to wait till he comes to me
I hop into my white Silva and I start the engine while I wait for Mia
I bolt on the carbon fiber hood I ordered a while back that had arrived two days ago
I found the little Nissan in a junkyard almost four years ago and fixed it up real nice
I tap on the gas pedal, listening to the beautiful flutter of the turbocharged engine
"Hehe" I giggle
I let the car run for a couple of minutes before shutting it off and I began doing some small last minute detailing as I waited for Mia

I just finished zip tying the front bumper back on I popped a beer and sat back
…
Ignias corvette was still sitting in here
It was where he taught me to pull apart an engine.
Made me do it maybe a thousand times in the span of three years
He would only work on it once every two to three centuries since he was always going back and forth to the castle every now and then
Still, I've never had the heart to really finish it
…
"About time" I smile as Mia she finally walked her pretty self out of the bathroom
"Shut up" she giggles as she closed the door nice and slow
After making sure the rear bumper won't fly off again I join Mia inside the car
"Tsss" The bags hiss as I raise the car before riding out
We lived in the west side of Othrys so we drove about half an hour to get into the southside where Dione lived
"I'm so tired" Mia whines "are we there yet?" She sits up on her seat
"30 minutes" I yawn, getting out the carpool lane
"I'm boredd" she whines
"This was your idea" I grumble
"Oh shut up" she puffs her lips as she pulled her hair back into a ponytail
"What?"
"Hm-hmm" she smiles
"Aight" I giggle excitedly
-30 minutes later-
After half an hour we finally arrived
Mia was massaging her jaw when I pulled up into the driveway
"Yay!" Mia hops out
I lock my car before following Mia
"Hey, you put it back on" Coeus laughs seeing I fixed the bumper after it fell off last time we went out
"You know how it is" I chuckle as we admire the beauty of a nissan
"Hey man, why you didn't tell me you were dropping by?" He stops me
"Cause I wasn't about to, why?"
He sighs
"Cause Rhea said she'd… well..pull up"
"Rhea?" I ask "with…Hestia ?"
Since Cronus was always on Rheas ass I haven't been able to see my baby girl in a while
Besides Rhea and I the only people that knew Hestia is mine are Mia and Coeus
"Hey, I'm just saying. You know how Cronus can get" he shrugs
"Yeah, I know" I sigh
It's been a few months since I last seen Hestia…
But Rhea…
I don't know what to do
I feel like what happened to her with Cronus is my fault
Maybe I could've done something to prevent all this..
But what?
Cronus is on a different dimension of strength
He'll annihilate me without batting an eye
I slowly make my way to the door before finding the courage to walk in
Once I did I instantly felt Rheas gaze
She had this dirty look on her face probably from just being told I'd be here
But I couldn't help but let a huge smile stretch across my face as I find Coeus dancing with Hestia
"Oh wow you can really dance mama" He hypes up my little girl
"Kehehehe*" she giggles before finally seeing me
"Papa!" She waddles over
I look around, hoping she didn't say that too loud as I crouched down
"How's my princess?" I open my arms
"Super great papa" she giggles as I hug her tigh
"Why don you visit us anymore, daddy?" she asks as I carry her over to the couch
"Papa got in trouble, remember?" I sit her on my thigh
"Yeah" she sighs
"It's okay though you still have mama" we look over at Rhea
"I know but she's boring sometimes" Hestia frowns
"Oh don't say that" I pinch her nose
"Hehe*" she giggles "it's true she's always playing with Cronus" she pouts
"I'm sure it's because she doesn't have a choice" we both look at Rhea
"Yeah, mommy says he's a meanie poopy head" Hestia whispers
Rhea rolls her eyes playfully. "You're so silly, baby" she makes sure to smile at least in front of our daughter
"Kehe*" Hestia giggles
"Hey, y'all" Dione sings at the top of the stairs beside Mia
"Hi!" Hestia waves
I smile up at Mia
"Hey daddy, is that your girlfriend?" Hestia whispers
"Yeah she is" I whisper
"She's pretty" she says
"Yeah she is" I agree
"She's not as pretty as mommy though" she says

"Hmh, you think mommy's prettier?" I ask
Hestia nods
"You know mommy really miss' you" she whispers
"Really?" I play along
Hestia nods "Cronus makes her sad and she tells me how much she misses you, daddy"

"Hmm" I think "is that true?" I ask
She nods as we look over at Rhea
"Hestia baby, let's get you something to eat" Rhea stands up
"Wait I'm talking to daddy" Hestia frowns
"I know but you haven't ate all week" she pulls her away
"Hmm okay" Hestia pouts
"Oh Hestia baby how you been, beautiful?" they run into Mia
"That was real cute" Coeus sits down beside me, handing over a Corona
"Man, shut your ass," I smile, "that's my baby." We watch how she giggles around with Mia
"You know you broke his fucking knee, man" he said, referring to earlier
"Yeah? Well, sue me." I scoff
"Oceanus paid him off so we don't have to worry about that."
"Fucking prick." I grumbled through my teeth as Hestia waddled over.
"Hey, papa-pops" she pecks my cheek as she sat on my thigh
"I don't need his money."
"It's not even that. You need to be careful who you're messing with. You can't keep running around picking fights."
"What are they going to do? Kill Me in broad daylight like where some.. fucking… peasants down on Gaia? We're Gods for fucks sake, Coeus." I shake my head
"You've seen it yourself. Othrys is slowly becoming an extension of Gaia. It's trashed with crime.
Instead of focusing on the planet Cronus is tossing unserialized guns on the streets for his amusement." He sighs. "He's corrupting everything Ignia built."

"Yay, look daddy!" Hestia giggles as I pull her back onto my lap
"Everything's going to be fine, trust." I shrug
He shakes his head
"Better hope so." He gets up and joins Dione at the door where she was welcoming the rest of our football team
"Wow yummy a cupcake" I lick my lips as Hestia raises a cupcake up to my nose
"Mhmm*" she nods happily as Rhea sat down across from us
"So how old are you now baby" I ask
"Three" she says holding up 2 fingers with her mouth full
"That's two baby"
"Hmm?" She looks at her fingers "oh yeah this is three" she holds up 3 fingers this time
"Yeah, that's right"
"Not as old as mommy" I whisper
"What?!" Hestia gasps "no she's not, you're super older than her, papa"
"No I'm not"
"Yesss, you're a THOUSAND year bigger than her"
"That's only two years here on Othrys"
"That's still super duper old" she giggles
"That's mean" I frown
"Hehe* you said it to mommy first" she giggles
"Hehe" I chuckle
"How is Hades?"
"Oh he was sleeping so auntie Aphrodite is taking care of him" she licks her fingers
"Hmm okay" I nod
"You know mommy wants another baby" she whispers in my ear
"Oh really?" I look over at Rhea who was busy talking to Mia
"Yeah" she nods
"Don't you think she's already had enough"
She shakes her head "only 4" she holds up 4 fingers "I want her to have more" she whispers
"Really? Why?" I ask
"I like babies" she says "what would you name a boy if you had a baby with Mia?"
"Hmh" I chuckle "well let's see.."
"How about Poseidon? Or Zeus?"
"Wow that sounds super cool" Hestia giggles "you know you should have another baby with mommy" she whispers in my ear
"Yeah?" I ask
She nods
I look over at Rhea
"Daddy?" Hestia tugs on my shirt
"Yeah baby?" I ask
"Do you still love mommy?" She asks
"Uhh… well.."
"You know I wish you and mommy were always together it would be very fun"
"Yeah but that could be dangerous for the three of us"
"If Cronus wasn't here would you marry mommy?"
"Would you want me to?"
She nods excitedly
"Then of course I would" I whisper
"Yay really?!"
I nod
"Anything for my baby" I peck her nose
"Hehe*" she giggles "I'm not a baby anymore daddy"
"Yes you are" I poke her little belly
"Hehe* no I'm not" she giggles "I'm already very big"
"No you'll always be my baby girl" I hug her tightly as I rub our cheeks together
"Hehe* I love you too, papa" she giggles
I talked with my little angle for another half hour till Aphrodite arrived with all of her half siblings Demeter, Hera, and Hades
The four of them began running all around the house, finally giving me a second to drink
