Ch. 54 Beyond the Walls

It's been months since the Great Battle of Shiganshina I made sure to not keep anything back from my people I told them every detail we learned about the outside world even though many were against it, even so I told them how we learned that we are hated by every single surrounding country they looked at us and referred to us as nothing more than devils straight descendants from the 'Son of Satan' whom they often referred to my father as
"Ugh how much longer" I groan
"It's only been about 4 hours try to be patient" Hange sighs
"I'm tired I need to let out some steam" I sigh
"Yeah? We'll try to hold it in" she says
I frown
"How about we go to the bathroom and you let me dick you down?" I whisper in her ear
She jumps to her feet "how dare you your wife is in there giving birth to your first child!"
"I was only kidding," I sigh though I might have to pay Sasha a little visit soon since I haven't been able to do much with Historia at the moment
"Hmph" she crosses her arms "so why did you want your child to be born here in Shiganshina?" She asks "a child of royalty should be born in the capital not… out here" she says
"Hmm? Well I don't know.. I guess cause it feels a lot like home" I say
"My ass, you just didn't want to miss out on the scouting mission" she mitters
"Man why'd she have to go into labor today" I sigh "couldn't she just hold it in or something till we get back?"
"You can't just hold in a baby" she raises an eyebrow
"Yeah? Well I'm hungry go fetch me something to eat or I'll make sure you stay behind with Historia" I lay back
"Wh-what?!" she clenches her fist "how dare you" she turns around before heading outside to the fetch us some food
"L-lord Kara?" I hear a nurse
"Yeah?" I jump to my feet
"Your greatness," she bows "Queen Historia she-"
"Hey, I can go see her now?!" I jump to my feet before rushing down the hall and busting right into her room
And there she was
My beauty of a wife was laying in bed with our child
"What is it?!" I hurry to her side
"Its a boy" she smiles
"Hehehe yes" I giggle
"Colt" she presses his face onto her cheek
"Colt… right" I smile remembering we had settled on that name if it were a boy
"Mhmm" she nods
"You're going to grow up to be big and strong just like daddy" I rub his cheek
"Careful your going to wake him up" she pulls him away
"Nghk h-hey" I frown before the door gets kicked open
"It's here!" Hange steps up beside me
"Does it have a tail like Kara?" she asks "hey wait he has blond hair, and no fur, ouu I wonder if it'll grow later on" she giggles
"Excuse me but I think it's about time you let lady Historia rest" the same nurse that went for us says
"What?!" I turn around "c'mon we still have some time don't we ?"
"Actually you never had any time to begin with, I went outside to inform you that we still need to run a few tests on lady Historia"
"Hehe" Historia giggles
"Alright then, c'mon Hange" I sigh
After making sure a number of my security stayed behind to protect Historia we were lead out and we made our way back to camp surrounded by the the rest of the military police making sure no one lounged at me and what not
"By the way when did you ever stop calling me Zoe?" she asks as we make our way out front
"What? Hmm" I think "guess after I became king I thought I'd address you more professionally"
"You? Professional? Don't make me laugh hahaha" she laughs sarcastically
"Nghk, what are you talking about?! I'm plenty professional!" I growl "Commander Hange, oh please excuse me your greatness" a garrison soldier bows before me
"Speak" I say giving him the permission he was waiting on
"Everything is ready for our final scouting mission, there hasn't been a single titan sighting in the past three days" he says
"Perfect" Hange smiles
"Thank you, you may go" I dismiss him
"Sir" he bows once more before going off
We've been killing all the titans that gathered up on wall Maria and finally after so many months we've most likely killed every last one of those things
"After all this time we're finally going to see the truth about this world for ourselves" Hange says
"Yeah" I smile
Erwin would've loved seeing this moment for himself
We go on ahead, I found Odin already packed up with my things
I double check everything and everyone, even the 20 military police appointed as my security, were all here
With everyone following my lead we rode on for hours
The sun was directly above us when we finally arrived at the sand dunes the final stretch before the wall I was supposed to get executed on long ago
"Fields of sand just like that book and Mr. Yeagar said" Armin says I'm amazement
"An amazing thing wouldn't you say Erwin?" Levi says
Everyone looked so excited even Sasha's face lit up with joy and curiosity
Sasha…
Those words she told me back then
I'm reminded of them every time I see her face
"C'mon" I step forward on Odin "one final stretch men!" I raise my blade "this is the moment we've all been waiting for!" I turn around towards the direction where I could smell the ocean water, a beautiful scent I hadn't smelt in years "BEYOND THAT WALL IS FREEDOM!"
"CHARGE!" I shout
"CHARGE!" everyone shouts after me as we began charging into the dunes of sand getting closer and closer to freedom
It only took us about twenty minutes everyone was shouting and yelping throughout the entire way all excited to see what exactly was behind the wall
At about 30 meters before we reach the wall I stand up on top of Odin's snout opening my arms creating a perfect bridge that connected to the top of the wall letting us arrived safely
And there it was, that beauty of a ocean we longed to see
"Whoa" Armin says under his breath as everyone began unmounting their horses
"Go on then" I say seeing everyone was waiting for my permission
"YEAH ALRIGHT!" everyone began charging into the ocean as I stood back and watched them play in the water like children
"Gah it's salty!" I hear one
"Truly amazing" Levi says looking out into the ocean
"Who would've thought all this water would just be sitting out here" Hange says
"Yeah" I sigh
I walked around noticing the blood stains on the floor
Are they.. From back then ?
I wonder why they didn't bother to clean them
"Woohoo" Hange finally decides to join in on the fun "c'mon Kara!" she shouts
"Hehe alright" I giggle before joining them
We splash around in the water for hours till we were all finally exhausted
"Man its hot" Eren huffs
We go on up and I could see Odin sniffing around the sand as I looking for something
I walk down the bridge joining him
"What is it boy?" I pat his snout once he finally stopped sniffing "what is that?" I ask as he began licking an odd black rock
He began carefully digging with one paw
Wait.. is that ?
With my hardening I sprout a large hand from my back and began helping Odin dig
We dug for about three minutes trying not to hurt whatever was down there
And I couldn't believe what I saw
It was a female dire wolf just like Odin only it was white, so white it looked like it was glowing
She was just barely alive in a far worse shape than I found Odin in
"Alright let's get you up" I dig under the poor dog and I pull her right out before setting her on top of Odin
"C'mon boy" I give him the order to get going
I travel with Odin back into the forest where we set the wolf down in the stream
I left the two alone and I hunted down some deer and a turkey
"Hey guys" I smile as I find Odin licking her face clean as she drank all the water she could
I throw two deer on the floor beside Odin and I take my seat at a rock watching as the two bathed
It's been a while since I've been like this
"Think I'm really missing this kind of life" I sigh
After a few minutes I decided to bathe after Odin finally got out with

"Friia" I finally say "that name suits you just fine doesn't it?" I ask
She tilts her head before she began panting
"Yeah" I giggle
Odin began chewing up the deer, so that it'd be easier for her to take in
After I bathed I decided to take a nap under a tree only to be woken up to people shouting in the distance
"Hey over here!" They shout
The sound of galloping horses got closer and closer before they all finally charged in through the trees
It was my team mbeing lead by Sasha who I assume managed to sniff me out
"Kara!" Hange shouts
"Oh… hey" I yawn
"Seriously, what were you thinking?!" She stops beside me
"Me? I just save Friia here" I hold my hand out to Friia only she wasn't here
"Wait where'd she go" I look around
I walk over to Odin before I see her pop out from under his belly
"Nghk" I step back
She was puny
"Hey wait so you get super tiny or what?" I crouch down beside the pup
Unlike Odin she can transform into a little puppy
"Haha whoa hey pup!" Hange was ready to hop off her horse before Levi stopped her
"C'mon we need to get back" He says
"Right" hange sighs
I pick Friia up by her nape and I sit her up on Odin's head right in between my legs before we set off again
We ride on for hours till we finally arrived back at Shiganshina by nightfall
I waited to hear something from Historia but I ended up staying for a whole day
"C'mon sir you could've at least slept in the room we prepared for you" the MP says after I finish my breakfast
"I told you not to prepare it and that I'd be staying in the hospital till she was better
"B-but it's already been 30 hours surely you could just-"
"Hey" I hear Historia right behind me
I jump to my feet
"Hey, yoo my baby!" I take Colt from her arms
"H-hey careful" Historia reaches out but I block her with my body
"Hey you're so tiny aren't you little guy" I pinch his nose
"Sir you probably shouldn't do that" the MP says nervously
"What? This?" I pinch his nose again
"Kara!" Historia shouts
"Hehe I'm just kidding" I giggle as she takes him away
"C'mon let's go home" Historia pouts
"Yeah yeah" I sigh
We head into a carriage where we waved everyone off as we made our way back to the capitol
I was watching how Friia was laying so comfortably on Odin's snout when Historia says my name
"Yeah?" I ask
"What are you thinking about?" She asks
"Oh… how long till we can have sex ?" I ask
She sighs "four to six weeks" she says
"Hmm… you can still use that mouth though right?" I say
Her eyes widened "jeez Kara is that really all you think about?" She blushes
"I'm just kidding" I pull her into my arms
"Careful you'll wake him" she says
"Man I really wanted to name him Chaos" I sigh
"That's a horrible name for a baby" she says
"What you mean? it sounds super awesome hehe" I giggle at the thought of calling out to him with that name
"No it's not, it's too violent, I mean Chaos? Really?" She shakes her head "by the way what is Odin doing with that pup?" She asks
"Oh that's Friia she's also a dire wolf" I tell her
"Friia? You see that's why I didn't let you name our child" she sighs
"What?!"
"Hey.. so do you think they can really build a ship like the galley we were brought here on?" She asks
"Oh… I'm not sure but with the resources we have here on the island we might even be able to make a steam ship like the one in Grisha's journal
"Oh… right" she closes her eyes
"You let me worry about that okay" I pull her in making sure her and our baby in her arms won't fall
"Just rest, we'll be back home in a couple of hours" I say
"Okay" she yawns
As we both drifted off to sleep
