Chapter 12: Surprise on the Beach
A few days ago. At the Wedding Party
"...Happy honeymoon" Nonny said that to Molly and Gil after giving them their wedding gift. The boy with the blue glasses decided to return to the party, leaving the newlyweds alone. He knew they wanted some privacy. Inside the facilities, the party continued. Normally, he doesn't like mass events. But it was a very important event for his friends. Curiously, Nonny managed to find the other members of the Bubble Guppies who were chatting and eating a little at a table.
"So…Did you give your gift to Molly and Gil?" Oona asked curiously.
"Yeah. I hope our friends enjoy their honeymoon in the Caribbean" Nonny answered quietly.
"That is so romantic! And very tropical! Hehehe" Deema commented funnily.
"The beach is always a good place for a honeymoon. I hope those two have a lot of fun" Goby said.
"It's true! The beach is very beautiful and refreshing. Especially in the Caribbean... And Jamaica is a good example" Zooli explained a bit.
"It sounds like a lot of fun going to a beach" Urchin said. The other guppies looked at him with confused looks.
"Wait...what do you mean by that?" Oona asked confusedly.
"Haven't you been to a beach?" Goby asked him surprisedly.
"Well...I've only seen the beaches through documentaries, photos, videos...I've never been to one" The wheelchair boy answered.
"W-W-WHAAAAAAAAATTT?!" Deema said dramatically "Impossible?! Everyone has been to the beach at least once in their life!"
"When you have a mother who is overprotective of my physical condition...Makes this make sense" The Asian American told her.
"Wow...I didn't even know that, Urchin. I guess it was expected of your mom" Zooli remembered how her mother-in-law was with Urchin in the past.
"Do you know something, Urchin? You're going to the beach! What's more, all of us will go to the beach!" Deema said excitedly.
"What are you thinking, Deema?" Oona asked her.
"I don't know about you, but I am EXHAUSTED from all the planning for this wedding. I think we all deserve a great rest...on a beach! What do you guys say?" The blonde guppy proposed it.
"That sounds like a great plan, Deema!" Goby agreed.
"Sounds good to me" The Asian girl supported the plan.
"It's a shame Molly and Gil didn't join us" Nonny said quietly.
"There will be no problem with that. I mean, they're going to be much better in their honeymoon" Zooli answered.
"Then it's decided! In a few days we will prepare to enjoy the sun, sea and sand. I'm excited!" Deema came out excited. All the guppies went with her to continue the party. However, only one guppy sat a little thoughtful. This boy began to analyze many things. Not long ago, he saw his best friend join his beloved in holy matrimony. Seeing Gil and Molly at the altar had inspired him to make a big decision. Obviously, he had already thought about it long before, but the wedding of his best friend was the event that made him make up his mind.

It was a beautiful morning at BubbleTucky, even though it was very early. The guppies had decided to prepare the trip early so they could enjoy and rest on the beach longer. Possibly it would only be for a couple of days, but it would be enough to have a great time. While the newlywed couple would be away due to their honeymoon trip, the other Bubble Guppies had prepared their things to travel to the beach. For that trip, two of the guppies used their cars to travel. In one car were Deema, Oona and Zooli and in the other car were Goby, Nonny and Urchin. After a few hours of travel, they reached their destination. The guppies decided to lower their luggage and reserved some cabins to store their things. The boys and girls met separately. We'll focus on the boys' side.
"Thank you very much for this trip. I feel it will be a great experience" Urchin said with a smile.
"No problem, bro! We've been here before. It has been quite a while since we last came here" Goby remembered their last trip.
"In fact, this was where Oona and I confessed our feelings…and had our first kiss" Nonny blushed a bit remembering this great memory.
"Wow! That must have been beautiful and romantic!" The wheelchair boy said happily.

"Surprising" Nonny said quietly.
"Goby, this is great! First Gil and now you! This is exciting. You have to do it today!" Urchin said happily.
"That's how it is. But I have a problem. Look, I'm not nervous or afraid... But Deema is an extremely special person to me. I don't want to make her a simple marriage proposal...I want to do something special, unique and original...Because she deserves it" Goby explained his little trouble.
"Goby, I'm sure Deema will accept no matter how you ask it" Nonny told him.
"Also, you are the most creative guppy I know. I know you'll find a way to propose to her" Urchin added "So…Will you need our help?"
"Hmmmm... I admit I need your girlfriends to be taken away from Deema when it's sunset. At that time I will do it" The dark-skinned guppy told them.

"Great! How about we go to the beach with the girls now? It's time for you to see the beach up close, Urchin" Goby commented before they went outside to meet with the girls.
The boys had changed into fresh clothes for their day at the beach. Goby with a green short. Nonny wore light blue shorts and wore a sun hat. Urchin managed to stay with only purple shorts on. The girls welcomed them in their beach outfits. Deema was wearing her yellow bikini, as well as wearing sunglasses and a hat. Oona and Zooli both modeled purple one-piece swimsuits. The difference was the color tone. Zooli's was darker than her best friend's.
"Wow...I'm...in awe" Urchin commented.
"Surprised to see me like this, Urchin?" Zooli smiled shyly.
"What? Oh no no no no! I meant the beach! I had never been to one!" Urchin answered quickly while he sweated with a red face. All the guppies giggled.
"It's true...It's your first time, huh? What do you think of the beach?" Zooli asked with a smile.
"It's...beautiful...it's a pity that the sand is going to bother my wheelchair" He commented. Zooli approached with a cute smile.
"That won't be a problem"
"What are you thinking? Woah!" Urchin was surprised when his girlfriend decided to take him by the waist and lift him up to take him to the seashore. She carried him romantically. One hand held his back and another hand held his tail.
"Hey, don't you get tired of carrying me?" Urchin blushed a bit.
"Why do you think I have trained and exercised? I'm strong enough to carry you, Urchin" Zooli said confidently.
"Awwwwww!" Deema and Oona said with happy voices.
"How romantic!" Deema said before looking at her boyfriend in a funny way "Goby, be a good man and carry me with your arms!" She screamed before throwing herself into her mate's arms. Goby laughed a little and managed to hold her, because he had good strength.
"Hehehe if that's what my beautiful girlfriend wants…" Goby agreed and he took her to the sea. Oona and Nonny looked at each other and just shrugged. They decided to keep things simple but cute. They just held hands and walked towards the shore will focus on a very cute couple. Zooli decided to gently place her boyfriend on the seashore. Urchin wagged his tail a bit and felt the sand for the first time. His girlfriend saw him to make sure he was okay at all times.
"Hehehe….It feels weird but...it's funny" Urchin touched the sand. He felt like a kid on his first time at the beach, well technically he was.
"And wait when you feel the sea" She smiled. The tide came in a bit and the boy felt the salt water on part of his body. He felt a slight chill from the first contact
"Brrrrrrr!" Urchin shivered a little from the cold. He noticed how his girlfriend sat behind him and hugged him around the waist. He blushed a lot.
"Do you like it?" She asked quietly.
"Of course...Hehehe I feel like an excited child" He said shyly.
"I'm glad to hear that" The black skinned guppy said with a tender tone of voice. While they were having a quiet moment, a not at all calm couple arrived!
"GUPPIES IN THE WATER!" Deema ordered Goby to both jump into the water. And both fell into the sea, splashing a lot.
"Hahaha!" Deema and Goby laughed a lot. Both started fighting in the water with water attacks. They had their water game away from Zooli and Urchin so as not to disturb them. Meanwhile, Oona was receiving a delicate massage from Nonny. The guppy with the blue glasses had soft hands. So he smeared sunscreen on his partner through some relaxing massages.
"Hmmm…It feels so good, Nonny" Oona said with a relaxed tone. She was feeling in the clouds at that moment.
"You should relax, Oona. I can feel the tension in the muscles of your back, shoulders and neck" Nonny commented while he was helping her.
"Hmmmm...Maybe I feel tired from my job...I love it but serving so many people non-stop can be overwhelming...Also, the wedding preparations weren't easy. And that Molly was not demanding" Oona shared her reasons.
"You just relax now. I will take care of making you feel good" Nonny said quietly.
"Hmmmm nice…Thank you for caring about me...I could massage you...But I would like to do it in private" Oona confessed with her rosy cheeks. Nonny just didn't comment further, but she had blushed. They were both too shy to delve into details, but they liked the idea. Deema and Goby approached them for a moment to talk, but just at that moment, someone else appeared.
"It's you again! It's been years!" He was very handsome male guppy. It was a boy with long black hair, brown skin. Its tail was dark green in a dark camouflage style. He had black shorts. And he had a body marked with a few abs and light muscles.
"I don't believe it. You again!" Goby recognized him.
"Chase?!" Deema was surprised.
"HUH?!" Oona and Nonny felt uneasy seeing that boy again. He had changed. He looked bigger as did his muscles. They didn't forget when the boy tried to flirt with Oona and even do something else. But Nonny managed to defend her in his own way.
"Wow, the world is small. I'm glad to see you here again... Hey, no hard feelings, right?" Chase asked with a smirk.
"What are you doing here?" Nonny had the courage to put himself between him and Oona. He didn't trust him.
"Hey, relax a bit. I work here as a lifeguard. You can't imagine the beauties that are always here, don't you think so?" He smirked confidently.
"As you say, tiger. But you should know that we are not available" Deema crossed her arms.
"Don't be rude. I have kept my word like a true man. After all, there are still a lot of girls around...h-h-here" The seductive guppy was perplexed to see a new guppy in the group. He saw with amazement Zooli on the seashore. It seems that he loved how she looked physically "Ahem….It was a pleasure talking to you...If you'll excuse me..." "Hahaha I'm sorry. But girls like you are great. You play hard to get, I love that" Chase smirked at her.
"Oh wow, seductive sir...You've gotten too big for your britches" Zooli mocked him a bit. She noticed that her partner was playing a bit on the shore.
"Look, Zooli! There are a lot of shells and crabs around here. Surely you want to see them with me!" He said excitedly. He didn't even notice the new guy's presence.
"Hehehe…I'd love to, Urchin. I'm almost there, give me a second" Zooli smiled at him.
"Hey, and that weird guy?" Chase asked with a harsh tone of voice.
"That boy over there...is my boyfriend" Zooli crossed her arms.
"Wait! But that boy... that wheelchair is his... I thought you two were brothers, cousins or that you took care of him as a nurse or something like that" He said surprisedly.
"Some people think the same. Oh, and of course! He has a name, and he is Urchin. If you'll excuse me... I'll retire. I want to take MY BOYFRIEND to explore the beach...See ya…" She said goodbye sarcastically and went to accompany Urchin. That left Chase with a bad feeling in his mouth.
"Grrr! Did a girl resist my charms? I can't believe she's actually dating a dumb disabled guy! Please, he's not better than me... No way! I know! I'll just steal that Urchin guy's girlfriend...It's not like it's my first rodeo in this...Hehehe" He just smirked. It seems that this womanizing guppy has returned to his old ways.
This situation worried the other guppies a lot. So it didn't take long for them to talk to her. While Goby casually went to talk to Urchin (As well as recommendations for her upcoming marriage proposal), Deema, Oona and Nonny urgently wanted to talk to Zooli.
"Zooli! We need to warn you about the guy you were talking to" Deema said worriedly.
"Oh! Are you talking about that silly boy? It's nothing new to me. I know his type. They want to believe the big thing and they think they can conquer me with cheap techniques and cliché. Please, I'm not a naive girl" Zooli rolled her eyes.
"Don't you get it, Zooli? He is not like others. His name is Chase...and we had problems with him in the past" Oona said, lowering her gaze.

"Awwww thank you so much. My boyfriend doesn't give me flowers like before" Zooli lied to him. She had to be genuine for trick him.
"Hehehe is that you deserve the best. I bet I would never forget details like that. If you'll excuse me, I'll go check a few things. See you later, sweetie!" Chase said with a confident smirk.
"Hehehe See you!" Zooli said goodbye to him. He waited for him to leave her for her to play her little prank. She decided to approach a sky blue fish woman who was resting "Ahem...Hello, miss! Sorry to interrupt but... That boy over there sent you this bouquet of flowers. He is a friend of mine and he wanted me to give you this present" Zooli said quietly.
"Ohhh but... what a strange detail" The fish girl was confused. But at that moment, a muscular male lemon green fish full of tattoos appeared.
"Hey! Who is the boy who sent her those flowers?!" He asked, bothered. Zooli simply pointed at Chase and walked away. The man didn't sit idly by and approached the womanizing guppy. "Hey, idiot! How dare you flirt with MY WIFE?!"
"Wait...what the hell are you talking about?" Chase was scared.
"I'll teach you not to mess with other people's wives!" The tattooed man delivered a hard blow to Chase's face, leaving him with a black eye. The boy just writhed on the floor. The man just wiped his hands "Hmmmm….And he's supposed to be a lifeguard...There's no respect here anymore" He left there ironically. Zooli simply held back her laughter and went to join her friends. It seems that the first counterattack worked.
This wasn't Chase's only attempt to flirt with her. When the guppies were going to have lunch, the boy tried to invite her to a cocktail. It was there that Urchin noticed Chase for the first time and Zooli showed a supposed interest in him. Although he knew her very well, he couldn't help but feel uncomfortable around the new boy. Chase invited her to a cocktail party and they both ordered the same drink. But the boy put an extra substance in Zooli's drink. The girl was not stupid and she knew the boy's true intentions. So she asked him to bring her something to eat, something the naive Chase agreed to. She managed to switch drinks and when he returned they both drank. And it turned out that Chase had the altered drink. So, in his drugged state, he started acting weird and left the restaurant, fooling around out of control of himself. And possibly he earned another hit from the previous man because he tried to flirt with his woman in his ecstatic state. As much as Chase tried to win her heart, Zooli strongly refused creatively. He arrived at sunset, the special moment for Goby was approaching and he had everything prepared. He simply met with Nonny in secret to discuss the last details.
"It seems that everything is ready. Do you think Deema accepts?" Goby asked him nervously.
"We know her very well. You know she'll say yes. Just do it right" Nonny commented quietly.
"Perfect. Thanks very much, buddy. I knew I could count with you" Goby expressed happily.
"Yeah…Huh…Hmmm…Goby?" The ginger boy wanted to talk with him.
"What's up, man?" The dark skinned guppy asked him.
"There's something I seriously wanted to ask you...Do you remember...the day I...kissed Deema?" He asked nervously. Gobby was silent. He remembered that day well. The day the Bubble Guppies broke up due to an internal fight. And precisely that kiss was the straw that broke the camel's back "Goby... did you... did you already forgive me for that? Don't you feel a grudge against me... After all these years?" He asked ashamed. Goby just sighed and looked his friend in the eye.
"Dude, forget it…..That was in the past. Why do you think I'm still mad at you after so many years? We are great friends, nothing changes that. I can't resent a mistake you made as a teenager. As if I hadn't done questionable things that time. Nonny, I already forgave you. Do you forget the day that Gil and Mr. Grouper helped us reconcile? "Nonny! Let's watch the sunset together!" Oona said excitedly. She did not see what happened to her boyfriend

It was sunset, the sky turned orange and the sun was losing its shine. It wouldn't be long before it would hide and start the night. The best place to see this natural phenomenon was on the beach. And certain couples knew it well. Oona and Nonny lay together under a palm tree to watch the sunset together. They both wrapped their arms around each other and looked towards the sea without saying anything to each other. It was something very tender for both of them. "Your boyfriend? The wheelchair boy? Are you kidding? How can you date someone like that?" He wasn't in a good mood.
"Well, as you hear it. He is the boy that I love" She decided to confront him finally.
"Come on, babe! Are you seriously going to tell me that you prefer a disabled guppy over me? Please!" Chase said bothered.
"That "disabled boy" has everything you don't have. He is sweet, tender, sensitive, attentive, educated and brave. Instead you? Ha! You're just a wicked womanizer like many fools I've met. You don't really love me, you only see my body and my appearance. What's more, you don't even know my name!" Zooli said bothered.
"Of course I know your name, baby! Rachel? Emily? Sarah? Huh...Hmmmm..." Chase was trying to guess her name.
"Ahem…It's Zooli" She rolled her eyes.
"Oh, Zooli! Of course! Hey, why don't we leave those details unimportant and have a fun time?" He said with a seductive tone.
"Hmmmm sounds tempting. We could try" Zooli said with a flirty tone.
"Oh really?" Chase thought that she finally was his.
"Hmmm…Nope!" Saying that, Zooli kicked Chase hard in the groin. Precisely in the part that hurts all men.
"AAAAAAGHHHHHH!" That was the final blow to leave him out of the game.
"I hope you learned your lesson, you foolish womanizer..Hmpt!" She just turned and walked away. She noticed that her boyfriend was behind her the whole time. He wanted to discuss something until she took her wheelchair and took him away "Let's go, Urchin" Zooli decided to take Urchin to a quiet place on the beach. She picked Urchin up and sat him down on the sand so they could both enjoy the sunset. The boy needed answers.
"Zooli….Who was that guy who's been staring at you all day?" Urchin asked her.
"Just a womanizing fool trying to win me over...I just gave him what he deserved" She smiled funnily. Urchin understood everything little by little.
"Hey, Zooli...I heard a lot of what you two were talking about...And I wonder only one thing: Why do you insist on staying with me? I don't get it, Zooli. That boy is much more attractive, charismatic and cooler than me" Urchin said with his low tone of voice.
"Urchin…." She turned to see him and caressed his cheeks "You are everything I want in a man. You are everything I want in my future" Saying that, she put her nose together with his. That was something known as an Eskimo kiss. Urchin blushed a lot at that romantic gesture.
"Hehehe...You're corny again, Zooli" Urchin giggled a bit.
"Yuck! Me? Being cheesy again?!" The sporty girl feigned annoyance when she noticed that she was being very corny again.
"(giggle) I like that part of you….Zooli….Today was the best first day at the beach. Thank you and our friends...Zooli, thank you...I love you" Urchin said with a blush on his cheeks.
"You're welcome, Urchin...I...I love you too" They both closed the conversation with a soft and romantic kiss. They became very affectionate, taking advantage of the fact that there were no people on the beach. The only witness to their displays of affection was the sun. They only gave each other tender and shy kisses.

"I'm glad to hear that, Deema. It was just a good day. Hey, I've been thinking a lot these days...Can you believe how we ended up being a couple?" He asked curiously.
"Yes, our love story was very...curious. Molly and Gil have liked each other since they were kids... But it's fun to know that you and I didn't see each other that way until high school" Deema remembered it.
"You can blame puberty for that" Goby joked a bit. Both of them laughed.
"You're right. We had a lot of ups and downs...Especially when we fought with Oona and Nonny...Or when that crazy Scarlet came into our lives...Hey, I'm noticing that a lot of problems were my fault, you know" Deema said quietly. She wasn't proud of herself.
"Come on, Deema...Don't feel bad. I wasn't a perfect boyfriend either. I made mistakes too. But that is not what matters. What matters is that we have both learned, right? Besides, you've matured a lot, Deema. You are still very dramatic, but you have made very wise decisions in your life" Goby explained to her.

"Here is your order" The waiter said politely.

"Goby, what kind of milkshake did you give me?" She demanded an answer.
"Hehehe Deema, Deema, Deema….You should see well what that is" Goby smirked at her. Deema didn't get it at first until she carefully looked at her milkshake. At the tip of the whipped cream, there was a shiny object. It was a ring!
"WHAT?! What the heck does this mean?!" Deema was being dramatic. The ring looked shiny and very expensive.
"Deema Wahler, you are the girl with whom I want to spend the rest of my days by your side... Do you want to marry me?" Goby cut right to the chase and touched her hand before kneeling before her. She was shocked to see that it was an engagement ring.
"Why do you ask those kinds of questions? OBVIOUSLY YES! DEFINITELY! ABSOLUTELY! YES, I WANT TO BE YOUR WIFEEEEE!" She cried out with tears of happiness. Goby took the ring and gently placed it on the finger of his beloved girlfriend. When the boy got up, Deema rushed into her arms in a tight hug, spinning them both around. The restaurant customers began to applaud with happiness, including some workers such as cooks and waiters.
"AAHHHHHH!" This time it was Oona and Zooli who gave the screams of fangirls.
"Well done, friend" Nonny said quietly but with a smile.
"Oh boy! Oh boy!" Urchin clapped happily.
"I CAN'T WAIT MORE! When will we get married? Where will the ceremony be? We need the wedding date! Who are we going to invite? Where are we going to live? When will we have our 5 children, 4 dogs, 2 cats and our parrot?!" Deema was extremely excited and even asked questions without analyzing anything. She was very happy, too happy I would say.
"Hahaha Deema! All in good time. Let's plan our life together little by little...You'll see" Goby smiled at her.
"Oh Goby! It's just...I can't believe it...You've made me the happiest woman in the world! Thank you! I love you!" Deema hugged him one more time.
"You have made me very happy when you accepted. I love you too, Deema"
They both shared a beautiful moment. Their friends couldn't be happier. That had been the best beach day of all. It was time for these two guppies to get engaged. Another beautiful family was about to start. What they both did not know is that they were going to have complicated tests that could complicate their commitment. For now, it's confirmed: Goby Imani and Deema Wahler are engaged!
Wow! This was beautiful. It was quite a cute chapter. Honestly, I thought I'd do this in two parts. But I felt that they would be very short chapters. Anyway, we now have another Bubble Guppies couple planning to get married! This is the start of another big beautiful arc. Hopefully everything goes well

And now two guppies are getting married: Goby and Deema! This chapter marks the beginning of this new part of the story. Like Molly and Gil, they too must face difficulties. Will they be able to face what is coming?

Those screams of happiness came from the blonde guppy's room. Even her parents and her siblings could hear her. Obviously, they already knew about her engagement and were happy for her. What nobody knew is that happiness could leave at any moment.

"Hello, Deema...How long has it been, old friend?" That mysterious voice made all of Deema's happiness disappear. She started to tense up. She began to sweat and her heart was beating faster.
"You! What do you want now? It's not time for you to bother me" Deema said bothered.
"Wow, Miss Wahler! You've never spoken to me in that tone of voice before. Anyway, I was just calling to congratulate you on your engagement...Congratulations, Deema"
"Wait….How do you know that?!" She was scared now.
"Please baby...You should know me well by now...I have eyes and ears everywhere...And you know I know too...I know you have a good job now... I think that the fee should increase in price... Perhaps I should triple the price. After all, you have a great job, Miss Executive"
"What the hell happened to you?! I already paid you enough! I have paid you every month of every year. It's too much!" Deema was bothered.
