I think it is necessary that we continue with this beautiful arc where we will see the most anticipated and very special wedding ceremony because it is very different. Let's not prolong this and let's get started.

Chapter 30: The Ballad of Flowers and Lovers (Part 2)
The ceremony had begun! Oona Shaskan and Nonny Pirruccello were finally ready to begin the event that would unite them for the rest of their lives. Both young adults stood facing each other in their ceremonial kimonos and in front of their families and closest friends. Plus the special counsel stood between them ready to begin. They were both at the altar with a cherry tree standing out and the whole event took place in a garden full of flowers. It was everything this couple wanted and more.
"Nonny...you look very handsome in that traditional kimono" Oona whispered to him.
"Thank you...You look beautiful too. I look forward to seeing how you arranged your hair under that wataboshi" Nonny commented with a low tone of voice.
"(giggle) You will see it soon" Oona chuckled softly.
"Welcome, family and close friends. It is an honor for me to conduct this unusual ceremony. Nonny Pirruccello and Oona Shaskan have decided to seal their destiny together through this ancestral union. For those who are not familiar with Japanese traditions, this ceremony is different from Western weddings. Throughout this ceremony, everyone is asked to remain silent as a sign of respect and solemnity. With that clear, we can begin" The lawyer said firmly and bowed to the guests and with that he could begin the ceremony. Oona's family members solemnly bowed their heads to respect the priest's blessing. The others decided to do the same.
"Wow...There are definitely very different things here" Deema commented quietly.
"Shhh...We must be silent until the ceremony is over. Only the priest and the bride and groom can speak" Ino whispered to her.
"Dear guests, relatives and close friends. On this beautiful day we gather to unite two people for life. Nonny Pirruccello and Oona Shaskan have decided to consolidate their relationship in marriage. At this moment we will consecrate the marriage before the ancestors of their families and the ancient gods. To begin with, both must purify themselves in order to give themselves to each other" The priest (who was the same lawyer) said that before that some shrine maidens appeared. These ladies were in charge of ceremonial acts and maintenance of the facilities. They wore white kimonos with red flowers on their ceremonial attire. They brought a teapot and three plates that were served for drinking. The maidens poured a drink into each plate with the teapot.
"What is that drink they are serving them?" Molly whispered to Ino.
"This is Sake, a rice-based wine. It is a traditional alcoholic drink used mainly in ceremonies" Ino answered quietly.
"You should take a sip of each of the dishes. The first plate represents the past and gratitude for your ancestors" The priest had previously told Nonny to take the aforementioned cup first. He smelled the drink and it was indeed wine. It was more potent than traditional wine or beer, but less so than other strong wines. Nonny, wishing to respect tradition, simply took a sip of the drink. Just as it should be done. Oona noticed her groom's reaction and laughed lightly. She took the same plate and took a sip as well.
"...The second cup represents the present and the mutual commitment that you swear from today…" The priest told Nonny to take the second cup and she also took a sip. Oona took the same cup and also took another sip.
"And the third cup represents the future and the wish for a happy future together. You can drink it" The expert lawyer ordered this. Nonny took the third glass and took another sip. Oona took the glass and also took another sip.
"This has been the only time I have tried more alcoholic beverages" Nonny commented quietly. Only his bride could hear him.
"Don't worry. You won't get drunk" Oona said with a chuckle.
"Very well. Now we will proceed with the wedding vows. You may begin" The lawyer said. There the groom decided to take the initiative.
"Ahem….Oona….You have been the most special person in my life. Since we were very young, you always supported me and loved me just the way I was. You were even one of the people who helped me get out of my comfort zone. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have done things I never thought I would do. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have met my best friends who are with us today. I always gave my best to make you happy, and you always took care of me and protected me. You were always there for me in my weakest moments and you are the person I have confided my greatest secrets to. The truth is, I will need hours to describe what I think and feel about you. But today I am sure of something. In front of the priest, in front of our families and friends, I told you this. I, Nonny Pirruccello, promise to love you and respect you every day of my life. I promise to always provide you with the best, both in material things and my time and love. I always wish to be by your side in the best and worst moments. To be able to laugh and cry together. To celebrate and mourn together. And I will do all this until the day I no longer breathe. I love you today and forever, Oona Shaskan" Nonny made this beautiful speech. Oona was so touched that tears even came to her eyes. Even though the others wanted to applaud loudly, they had to hold back until the end of the ceremony as part of tradition.
"Okay...It's the bride's turn" The priest said.
"I'll try…" She wiped away her tears before she could continue "Nonny, you are the sweetest, most attentive, intelligent and thoughtful boy in the whole world. I always knew you were a guy different from all the others and that was precisely what made me fall in love with you. You are very respectful, romantic and very faithful to me. I always knew you were the ideal man to spend a lifetime by your side. You are the voice I need in my life. You always know what to do and you always proved to be someone exceptional, always defying the odds, and above all, challenging yourself. You are a wonderful guy who knows how to understand me and always does what is best for me. That is why I have made this decision. I, Oona Shaskan, promise to love and respect you. I promise to be faithful to you in all situations, both good and bad. I wish to be that woman with whom you want to laugh and cry when you need it. I promise to be your support at all times and I will always be there for you until the last of my days. So, forever and always, I will love you, Nonny Pirruccello" Oona expressed what she wanted to say to her groom. Nonny smiled when he heard those emotional words.
"You can put your rings on" One of the maids came to present the rings to the couple. Nonny took the first ring and took his bride's hand and placed the ring delicately on her finger.
"Please accept this ring as a proof of my love" Nonny said while he put the ring on her finger. Oona took the other ring and took her boyfriend's hand to put the ring on him.
"This ring is a sign of my love and fidelity" Oona said as she placed the ring on her groom's finger. After that, they both took some special branches and offered them on the altar near the cherry tree and bowed. The priest brought a document to make the wedding legal and the couple signed in the respective spaces. The priest stood between them and the couple bowed.
"In the name of the ancestors, this couple has purified themselves and has sworn love, respect, loyalty and honor. What is joined today, man will not separate. You have joined legally, mentally and spiritually today. Nonny Pirruccello and Oona Shaskan...by the authority granted to me you are now husband and wife. I wish you much prosperity and good wishes in your new project together" The priest said this last thing before bowing to the bride and groom. The couple bowed their heads and decided to hold hands and bowed again to the guests.
"Thank you all so much for being here for us" Oona said to the guests.
"Thank you for all your good wishes" He added this before both of them. The ceremony was almost over. The guests bowed in closing. The priest and the maids left to leave the couple and the guests alone. This is where the formal and traditional ceremony concluded. At that moment, Nonny removed the wataboshi that covered his brides hair and she was finally able to show her purple hair arranged with traditional ornaments in the nihongami style.
"Well...Is all that serious and silent ceremony over?" Deema asked.
"Yeah….." Ino said after the bow.
"Oh then…Kiss! Kiss!" Deema asked loudly. Although some people thought it was strange at first, they knew that the "western" part of the ceremony was still to come. So the guppies, the other guests, Nonny's family and, shortly after, Oona's relatives all asked for it.
"Hmmmm...Do you think we should...?" Nonny asked with a blush.
"Well...normally in traditional ceremonies there are no public displays of affection...but since this is a mixed wedding, well…" Oona said before smiling at him with a mischievous touch. She took both of her boyfriend's hands "We are now husband and wife...You may kiss the bride" Saying that, they both brought their faces closer and decided to give each other a short kiss as a final sign of the consolidation of their relationship.
"WOO-HOO!" Everyone applauded and showered blessings on the couple. Everyone showed their best wishes for the newly married couple.
"It's party time. Let's change our clothes" Nonny said to his new wife.
"Sounds great, my husband" Oona winked at him. They both blushed as they realized they were now husband and wife.
They both went to a more private area to change their clothes. This is where they both got to put on the formal clothes that were typical of a Western wedding. Nonny wore her formal suit with a white shirt, black pants and black vest, and a dark green tie. And Oona managed to put on her white, off-the-shoulder wedding dress. When they both came out together with their changed clothes, they both flattered each other and he kissed her hand as a sign of chivalry. They both decided to go with the guests where they would hold the wedding party in an event hall not far from where the ceremony took place. The new event room was outdoors with flowers as decoration, and it was also prudent to have an outdoor activity in the middle of spring, where the flowers are in their maximum splendor. The party had begun. Firstly, the newly married couple was welcomed by the guests. That is where the relatives and close friends wanted to dedicate some special words to the newlyweds.
"I am so happy for you, my dear daughter. I always wanted the best for you and for you to find a special boy. And well, ever since you were talking to me all the time about Nonny, I had faith that he would be the prince you wanted so much. And boy, was I not wrong. I always saw you so happy when you were with him. So I hope you live the rest of your life happily with him. You deserve that happiness that I couldn't have. I love you so much, my little Oona. And Nonny, thank you for being the best guy in her life. I've appreciated you so much for how happy you've made her and the family. I hope you don't change" Himani gave her blessings to her daughter and now son-in-law.
"It is... difficult to express what I feel. On one hand, it hurts me to see that you are going to form your future with the boy you love. But for that same reason I am also happy for you. You finally took your step. You got your life partner and I hope that you feel loved, respected and protected by his side... Otherwise, you can always count on me... And Nonny... I admit that I did not trust you at first because of my desire to overprotect my younger sister... But with time I began to see who you really are and after so many years I can say this: Nonny, I entrust my sister to you so that you protect her during all the time that I cannot. You will now live with her and I trust that you are what she needs and desires. My blessings to both of you" Ichiro bowed to the couple.
"Oona, even though we may not have known each other as long as we would have liked, I am truly very happy for your decision. As your sister, I wish the best for the two of you. Never forget to be communicative, trust each other, respect each other and love each other at all times. You have shown each other true love and fidelity throughout the time I have known you. You are one of the few couples who have stayed together despite many situations. I always wish you the best" Ino bowed to them.
"I am proud of you, my little niece. You have found in the boy the greatest treasure that few people find. It is not money, it is not valuables, not even fame and honor. It is about love. The world is wrong for not understanding the true meaning of love. And you and he are understanding it better than many other people, including me. If you never give up that feeling, prosperity and honor will always be in your home. The ancestors would be proud to see you both together. For I have seen many relationships and I do not remember seeing another loving and respectful couple like yours. It is an honor to have been here to bless you" Toki bowed politely as he said that.
"Thank you very much. It is an honor to hear that from my wife's family" Nonny said respectfully.
"Thank you so much, family. I love you!" Oona said happily.
"Dōmo arigatō!" The couple said with gratitude and bowed to the bride's family. It was the groom's family's turn.
"You are my greatest pride, my son. I always knew from the day we met that you were a different boy who would make the family proud... And you did. Not only because you are an educated and economically prosperous boy, but because inside you're still the same polite, respectful and kind boy. You did not let success change you. And I know that just as you gave us happiness, you will make her very happy. And Oona, thank you for helping him to be better. Because he would not have tried many things if it were not for you. I hope you are that unconditional life partner that he was looking for so much" Mr. Pirruccello said with a smile.
"I am so proud of you, my dear Nonny. You are the best thing that could have happened to me and your father. Even though we are not your blood parents, we always loved you as if you were our son. Although in reality, you are our son, because we are united by love and not exactly by blood ties. I want you to be very happy with Oona, who has been a wonderful girl. And Oona, take good care of our little Nonny" Mrs. Pirruccello added. At that point, the next person took a long time to choose the right words.
"Oh Nonny, I am really very happy for you. I must say that I wish I could have seen you grow up to be the man you are. And although I know that I may not deserve to be here, I am glad that you let me be a part of your life, at least a small part of it. I am proud to know that you are quite the gentleman thanks to your adoptive parents, your friends and those close to you. And Oona, from the little we know of each other, you have proven to be an understanding, pious and very loving woman and I cannot think of anyone better to be Nonny's wife than you. Congratulations to both of you" Nicole searched for the best words to express what she felt. Nonny decided not to comment for the moment, but he wanted to talk to her about it soon.
"Guys, I want to congratulate you both. I never imagined you two would get together. But thinking about it a lot later, you two make an ideal couple. You two are kind, calm, introverted and even shy. And you have shown that you have a huge heart for others. I'm sure you two will support each other and work as a team very well. After all, that's what marriage is all about" Mr. Grouper congratulated both of them.
"I always knew you two were exceptional, and I wasn't wrong. I never saw many problems between you, although you obviously know each other. However, there is no problem that you can't solve. There is good communication and chemistry between you. And you have a lot of support from your loved ones. And Tino and I are included" Charlize added.
"Congratulations to both of you! You two are made for each other. As a friend of both of you, I am happy that you have decided to live together for the rest of your lives. I can assure you that marriage is a very beautiful thing and I trust that you will enjoy it" Molly said happily.
"She is so right. I am really happy for you, Nonny. As a close friend, I have considered you as another brother and seeing you with Oona gives me satisfaction. I know how much it cost you to get close to her in a romantic way and how many times we helped you. I congratulate you. And I also congratulate Oona, because we are also friends even though we may not talk much, but I still appreciate you both" Gil added.
"Nonny, you really deserve her love after everything we've been through. Married life isn't easy, but it's worth it. Even though I haven't been married for very long, I can assure you that it's worth it. Never stop being the gentlemanly and thoughtful guy that you are, because Oona loves that side of you. Oona is also a close friend and is the closest thing to a sister that I have. So you, old man, would be a metaphorical "brother-in-law" hehehe. Enjoy a lot and count on me for whatever you need" Goby expressed.
"Ahhhhh! My other best friend is already married! I have no words to express how I feel! May they be so happy together...And Nonners! Defend your beloved like Sir Nonny the Nice! Oh! And another thing...I want to be the godmother of your children!" Deema shouted happily.
"Hehehe….It's too early to talk about children" Oona blushed a lot.
"Still, we will take your offer into account" Nonny added, even though he was blushed too.
"Come on, Deema... Don't get ahead of yourself. Let them enjoy that stage... Ahem... I'm really happy about your wedding. I was very happy for Molly and Deema... But your case is special because you are my best friend in the whole world. I thought that boys were the worst, but the guppies made me change my mind. Especially Nonny, who was one of the first boys who showed me that she was different. And knowing the best and the worst of both, I conclude that they are ideal for each other. I'm happy to be friends with both of you" Zooli said her part of the dedicated words.
"I congratulate you for getting this far, something that many couples fail to do. But you did it. I can only tell you that if you continue like this, you will have a full life together. And not only that, I believe that you will be a successful couple, and you will be amazing parents when you decide to form your own family. After many struggles, you deserve to celebrate this in a big way" Urchin admired it.
"Congratulations, Oona! Looks like your fairy tale is real after all. Best of luck with your plans and projects" Avi congratulated them.
"Well done, you two. It's a shame I didn't get to know you better before and that I was enemies with your other friends. But what I've been able to learn about you two has only been positive things. You have that loving and honest relationship that I've always sought and desired. Luckily, I got to know that real feeling with Avi. So I can only say congratulations and I wish you much success from now on" Sharon said this with honesty, showing many of those present (and us) how much she had changed.
"Thank you all very much for your words and congratulations" Nonny thanked them.
"The fact that you came and helped us plan everything is one of the best things you did for us. And I think we can move on to the next part" Oona said before everyone prepared for the next awesome part.
We arrived at a very beautiful part, the wedding party waltz. The guests prepared the outdoor dance floor to start the event. The couple would start with the first dance, which would be with their parents. Both had different but very nice ideas. Oona decided to ask Mr. Grouper to dance, which should be for the father of the bride. On the other hand, Nonny asked her adoptive mother to dance for the first dance.
"I feel proud of you today, Oona...I really always saw you all as my children all these years. You know, I never had any children. But I didn't think that you would grant me the honor of representing you as your "father" at your wedding" Mr. Grouper said while he was dancing with the new wife.
"You always looked after each one of us. And in my case, not having my father around... You are the closest thing I have to a father. You always loved us and always advised us at all times. Thank you very much for everything" Oona said with gratitude. Nonny danced with his adoptive mother and after enjoying that beautiful moment, he decided to do something before starting the dance with his wife.
"May I have this dance?" Nonny extended his hand to Nicole, inviting her to dance. She was surprised and accepted the invitation. That's right, technically, Nonny danced with both of his mothers. First, with the one who cared for him and raised him, and then with the woman who gave him life. Nicole was surprised. She didn't expect her son to ask her to dance.
"Oh Nonny...I didn't expect you to give me this honor, although I don't quite deserve it" Nicole asked her son.
"Why do you think that? Despite everything, you are still my mother and I have already forgiven you. Besides, you showed me that you always wanted to be a part of my life. It doesn't matter what couldn't be done, but what can be done from now on. Thank you for looking for me and finding me despite everything, Nicole... Or rather... mother two" Nonny said with a small smile. Nicole was very happy and some tears appeared from her eyes. Finally, the couple separated from their father/mother figures and it was time for them to enjoy their dance with each other. Nonny simply approached Oona and they both bowed to each other to begin their own waltz. Nonny took his wife's hand and with the other hand he grabbed her waist. Oona took her man's hand and with her other hand he grabbed his neck and they got closer to each other to begin. Both began with their slow and elegant steps. Many of us don't usually see Nonny dance much, but at that moment, the boy would surprise his wife and the guests. The waltz was the dance where the boy with the orange horse had high experience. He moved like a professional and his movements were elegant. Oona had a hard time keeping up with him, but Nonny adjusted to what he knew she could. Not a single word came out between them or in the audience. Both could only follow the melody and looked at each other in an affectionate and romantic way.
"Wow, I didn't expect you to be such a great dancer" Oona said surprisedly.
"W-W-Well….Let's just say our time with the Bubble Guppies paid off. Plus, I asked Mr. Grouper and Charlize to teach me a little waltz. It's...my favorite dance" Nonny admitted nervously.
"You surprise me more and more every day, in a good way" Oona admitted.
"Well, from now on you will know more of my secrets... Because we are now husband and wife" Nonny said calmly.
"Hehe….I will also show you my secrets, things that only you will know... Because now we must trust each other more than ever" The new wife commented.
"They both finished the dance with a lovely soft bump of their noses, giving each other an Eskimo kiss. Everyone applauded loudly for the couple. Thus they concluded their beautiful waltz.
After that, it was time for Oona to throw her bouquet, even though they didn't use one for the wedding. Deema gave her a bouquet to play at the party. Some single women from both families were there. Oona decided to throw her bouquet, but she didn't count on the fact that she threw it so hard that no one could catch it... well, except for one very agile and sporty girl. Zooli was the skillful girl who was able to catch the bouquet, she celebrated a little until it took a few seconds for her to realize what that meant. She blushed and even pretended to be annoyed. After some laughter, the party started and it was a little less crazy than the previous ones, but considering that Gil and Deema would be in charge... well, it was still loud. The couple only spent a few minutes talking with family members and the guppies before escaping together to a garden full of roses under the light of the moon and stars. We know they aren't big fans of loud music and lights, but they knew their guests would have fun. They, for their part, wanted to spend their time enjoying their first hours as husband and wife. They sat on a fence in front of a fountain in the beautiful garden. They didn't talk much, as words weren't necessary to show how comfortable they felt with each other's presence. Oona rested her head on her husband's shoulder.
"(sigh) I still find it hard to believe this is real. I feel like I'm in a fairy tale…or in a dream" Oona said lovely.
"Dreams can come true if we work on them. And that's exactly what we did in all these years" Nonny explained.
"Yes, it was all worth it. After many difficult things like family conflicts, separations and problems...and we were able to overcome them all" Oona said quietly.
"That means that we can handle what comes. Today is a day of happiness, but we don't know when very beautiful things or very difficult things will come. But, that's why I agreed to get married...because I know that with you things will be easier...because we understand each other very well" Nonny expressed.
"Hehe And also because we truly love each other, don't we?" Oona touched his cheek.
"Of course" He replied. She kissed him softly in his lips.
"I'm excited. Don't forget that we're going on our honeymoon on that free trip to Japan that I won in that tournament...The hits will be worth it" Oona reminded him.
"I'm sure of that. The plans for that trip sound wonderful. But you know what's best? The best thing is that it will be with you. I doubt this trip would be wonderful if it weren't for you being my partner" Nonny expressed.
"Hehe Nonny...You really are very sweet...You know, today you are breaking your record...You are talking more than usual" She giggled a bit.
"I guess today is a special occasion...and a very special one...Besides, you will surely hear more from me, because we will be living together and we must communicate for a successful relationship" Nonny said with his typical tone of voice.
"You're right about that. Have I told you how much I love you?" Oona asked him with a lovely tone of voice.
"You tell me this often. But I never get tired of hearing it from you... Because I love you too" The orange-haired guppy came closer and closed the conversation with a tender kiss on his wife's lips. They both decided to give each other longer but equally tender kisses, taking advantage of the fact that no one could see them. After all, they enjoyed it more in secret. They both knew that a beautiful life together awaited them. Just what they had wished for. That promise of the red ribbon of destiny had been fulfilled. No matter how long they had been separated by life's issues, love always united them... And now the union would be for the rest of their lives.
Finally the event we were all waiting for has arrived! Oona and Nonny are husband and wife! It's beautiful how this is the third couple formalized and there is only one left. But for now, we still have a little adventure between these two: Their Very Special Honeymoon. Look forward to it very soon!
I hope you enjoyed it. Leave your reviews so I can hear your opinions. In the meantime, I will proceed to answer the reviews of the last chapter (which are many and I am grateful)
PrimroseRaspberry: Hi friend! I'm so glad you enjoyed this episode. It seems like Oona thinks Mr. Grouper is not only her former teacher, but a close friend and even a father figure since he's the closest thing she has to a dad (due to the absence of her natural father). And it seems like we won't be worrying about Nonny's mysterious condition...for now.
mermaidf: Hello! Mr. Grouper is definitely more than just an old teacher for our guppies. It seems that everything is going well with Nonny at the moment.
GojiRaptor06: Hiya! I see this is one of your favorite arcs and I hope you enjoy it to the fullest. This couple is the representation of fidelity at its finest. We all love their interactions and how Oona asked Mr. G to be her father. And it seems like Nonny was able to contain whatever he has.
SuperSonichero18: Hello there! Harris might wear a cape haha. Regarding the last chapter: It's really sad to see Robynn and Wilma's past. Even though the former is a villain, it's possible to empathize and maybe feel a little bad. However, we'll see how it develops later. Oh and regarding your postscript, I can give you the description of the new members, although I think there are still some missing.
RainbowFoxy1987: Hi there! I'm glad you enjoyed the last episode and I hope you enjoyed this one. This third wedding is special too and it shows us what two people who love each other are capable of. It's sweet to pair the cutest and most adorable guppies together. The moment between Oona and Mr. G is definitely cute and thankfully, nothing strange happened with Nonny... But we shouldn't let our guard down. I'm sure you'll enjoy the next episode.
That's all from me for now. ReaderandWriter9000 say goodbye and I'll see you in another very beautiful chapter. See you soon!
Post-Chapter
The wedding party was still in full swing. With family and friends enjoying the music, dancing and food. And Oona and Nonny spending time alone as a newly married couple. However, the couple wasn't exactly alone. Someone was watching them from a safe distance and not disturbing them. It was a girl we may not have seen much of, but we know her.
"How are the other guppies doing now?" It was Sharon talking with someone via call by cellphone.
"Everyone is having fun. We should dance a little" Avi asked her.
"In a few minutes. I'll be right there, Avi" Sharon said before she ended the call. She decided to call someone else and made sure no one was around to do so "Hello? I'm Agent Sharon, are you there?"
"You finally report in, agent. I thought you got carried away by being at the wedding party with your boyfriend"
"I had to act naturally, sir" Sharon reported.
"I know, that's why I sent you two. Tell me, how are the Bubble Guppies? Are they okay?"
"Yes, sir... There were no problems at the wedding. Both the bride and groom and the guests of honor are fine. And no suspicious persons appeared" Sharon informed.
"Perfect. Enjoy the rest of the evening with Agent Avi while keeping an eye on the Bubble Guppies. Don't forget your most recent mission: To live in Big BubbleCity and protect the Bubble Guppies. If the rumors of the remnants of the House of Cadaverini are true, they will be the first targets. Don't forget, this mission is classified and confidential. There is no room for error. That's why we sent you and Agent Avi. Director Philips out"
The guy hung up the call and Sharon simply deleted the call and text logs. After that, she decided to go back to the party to continue having fun with her boyfriend, without neglecting her mission. Wait, Sharon and Avi aren't just a couple?!
