Author's note: Thank you so much for your support everyone, I'm glad that slowly there is people interested with the concept of the story I created. To answer some reviews, I'm also going to add some interesting explanations.

Rando isn't at any kind of Yu Yu Hakusho universe, because the voices of the characters are different, because they aren't the same voices from Japanese and neither English dub from United States... The version of Yu Yu Hakusho Rando is, it's from Brazil dub version, which the voice actors are totally different from what you could expect. Imagine something like that, the voices would represent from Brazil's voices off.

Yusuke's voice was similar to Jim Carrey's voice.

Kuwabara's voice was similar to Will Smith voice.

Toguro youngest brother was similar to Silvester Stalone's voice.

Yeah, it was a big difference but very funny to play with, especially with the expressions, so I'm translating on the version I usually uses, which is from my country's voice actors and narrative, so don't mind if the dialogues are different from the original, and just enjoy and have fun with the curiosities.

Now I'm going to reply the reviews, since I find funny to talk about it about the future projects I have.

Replying reviews:

starfallkaiser .Thank you for being interested over this fanfic, and I agreed that I could use the same thing used from the Nen of HXH and translating into a yu yu hakusho logic, I would just need to create a few explanations of powers being based of spiritual energy instead of aura, but I could make it work for them two, and make a good story of it, I mean, the main character found that he could take the basics of Nen and transform into spiritual version of it, and make himself the first full master of Nen, but that would take a lot of time, and he has so many options that it's difficult into what he should do next, so I hope you enjoy this chapter. And thank you for your suggestion.

Fox Boss. That actually makes sense, but now I could imagine how Kuwabara would be terrified if he ever meet Zaraki Kempachi, it would make him piss his pants.

coldblue2015 . I'm so glad that you liked this fanfic, so thank you for the fav, and for your review, and to answer your question, Hisako, Illumi and Neferpitou, they are from another universe created from Togashi, so they don't actually exist on the universe where Rando is, so that means that team Toguro will remain the same team as ever, but not less intimidating since Toguro speaks for himself, that team is way too overpower and everyone should be afraid of them... Question number two: You will understand the kind of training Rando will have, and that would give you a few hints of what I'm planning to do with him, so I hope you can catch it. XD. Question number three: Yes... Question number four: I was thinking into making him to have a love relationship with either Kono or Juri. But now that you added Kuwabara's older sister, I'm also very temptated into actually fitting her as well, but who knows? I need to think about it, and try to develop. But I can suggest ideas. Question Five: Oh boy, it's going to be hilarious on what will happens, because... you will understand later. Have fun reading this chapter. XD

Anyway, time for the new chapter, have fun guys.

Rando sat cross-legged in the dimly lit room, the only light coming from a single flickering candle. The walls were lined with ancient scrolls and books, remnants of his relentless pursuit of knowledge from the past self from all the techniques he acquired with time, However, knowing from the book of his experience from different schools which seemed different from the universe he is now… From the world he came in… Those knowledge were the most fundamental rules of the power scale of the successor of this world… From the same creator of Yu Yu Hakusho, there was also one anime that became so popular from rules of power and scale, which would be essential for everything he could use so far.

"This is stupid... but I need to see if that really works." He muttered to himself, Despite his doubts, curiosity and a burning desire to understand himself drove him to proceed with the water divination trial from Hunter X Hunter. "If the story of Rando was true, and his great potential is as it has shown… by following the basic rules of water divination…"

He carefully placed a glass of water on the wooden floor in front of him and gently floated a leaf on its surface. The trial was simple: by focusing his spiritual energy on the water, he would discover his Nen type based on how the water reacted. For a moment, he hesitated, since he doubted that one universe would be related to another, and spiritual energy could be very different from the Aura of Hunter X Hunter. But then he took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and concentrated. And he tried...

As he poured his spiritual energy into the water, he began to feel a strange sensation, a tingling that spread from his core to his fingertips. Opening his eyes, he stared intently at the glass. At first, nothing happened. Then, the leaf started to change. Slowly, it dried up and crumbled into dust right before his eyes.

Rando's heart raced. This is what he had been expecting, but he never thought it would have worked… He could say that it was a random effect of trial, but he couldn't decide what indeed the results were, since he needed to see another person trying to do the same thing as he did… But sadly he couldn't ask anyone to do it…

But differently from seeing water bust out of the glass, or changing tastes or color, or even seeing minerals forming inside of the water, or even seeing the leaves moving around the water… No… it was the leaf doing something different from all kinds of options, meaning one single thing…

"I'm a Specialist," Rando muttered as he remembered that once he discovered what would be his type of skills, it wasn't a surprise that he had been used as a formula for so many future characters. He was just an antagonist which Yusuke won by sheer luck and from his own arrogance and stupidity. But thankfully to him, there appeared future characters like him who made a lot of difference in the anime, Rando would be used as inspiration for Kuroro Rushirufuru A.K.A Chrollo Lucilfer, one of the most badass Nen thieves of the whole HXH, Hisoka Morow, one of the most sadistic anime characters and agents of chaos ever written with his horny desire for battles, and then came Orochimaru, one crazy ninja who did everything to try to learn all kind of jutsus, just to try to reach immortality, but was so sadistic that nobody knows if, in the end, he was a good person or not… But hey, he did all the crazy stuff and still was seen in Naruto's wedding video… it indeed made a good part of Naruto fandom split up from outrage…

Still, so many other characters were used as a formula for a person who acted like him…

Rando could see from his reflection that indeed how the era of the 90s was a good time for the anime and manga Era since characters like him would be used as inspiration for many kinds of tropes and ideal characters in the future.

Still, the yokai felt a bit of loneliness from being inside of his rooms for so long, or going into the human world just to pickpocket and use the money to buy something for him to eat… It was pathetic. But that was what he could do for that moment.

"Just for more a few days," Rando muttered as he sat with his legs crossed and decided to practice Ten to not leak his spiritual energy and convert itself as a blanket around his body… "Ren."

Then from inside the room, his spiritual energy grew a few massive waves, and he decided to use all the spiritual energy to expand and redirected to his eyes.

"Gyo…" It had been one of the most basic trainings that he tried to come up with following the same formula of both animations from Togashi, but still, watching and reading about it is way easier than actually practicing. From everything, Rando must have trained through his books, but he felt that he was still way weaker than many characters from the future. But still training it the basics would be fundamental for his own development, especially now that he learned Hatsu, and could use it as the way he intended. But what he would need to do is from now on…

It's to master them, and then find a way to memorize and practice all the other techniques he had around his rooms.

After reading journal after journal, and following the formula of Nen… he discovered that indeed everything Rando did could be used as a Specialized Nen user. And with that doors would open for himself. His future looks brighter now that he has a good idea of what he should be doing in the future.

"Dammit, I can't believe that I have to come here doing that. How did Botan know that I liked that kind of fight?" Yusuke Urameshi ground his teeth as he went upstairs which doesn't seem to ever end. He was very annoyed that he would pass his vacations trying to find the yokai who would try to become the disciple of the master who Botan called Genkai. "I don't have more age for that, oh come on, cursed stairs, ugh, ugh."

Offegant and exhausted, the delinquent boy finally reached the top, only to find out there was also another stairway waiting for him, which made him whiny in disbelief saying curses to whoever was the person who created the stairs.

But then he noticed there was a blue spiritual barrier which was used to make sure whoever demon would try to pass, it would be intimidated away from the barrier, and only the chosen ones would be selected to appear for the trials to become the only Master Genkai's disciple.

"What a strange sensation," Yusuke commented as he then shook his head and prepared his bag. "Whatever, if I get chosen alright if I don't then I will enjoy my vacations.

At the time Yusuke reached the top, he was overwhelmed by the crowd who were there to try to become the disciple of one if not the best spiritual masters alive in the world. Each person had a unique appearance and personality, some were strong and buffed, others weak and yet sneaky, some brought weapons and some were even weird.

"Holy damn, look how many people are there, are they all candidates?" Yusuke commented in disbelief, as he couldn't believe on how many people would be crazy would be appearing just to learn the lessons of the said master.

And from the way the candidates were talking highly about Master Genkai, that means she was a very strong person… He never expected to find someone he knew.

"URAMESHI." Until a familiar voice shouted which made the green-clothed boy recognize the said voice and look in disbelief at the person who had the same expression of disbelief as him.

The orange delinquent topknot, the blue school uniform, and the stupid face that he always had.

"Kuwabara?" Yusuke asked as he saw the boy walking towards him, both in disbelief at what was going on.

"What are you doing here? Can you explain that?" Kuwabara commented as he pointed his finger in the face of his rival, someone with who he had a rivalry and had been delinquents since the first day they meet.

"I was the one supposed to ask you that. What the hell are you doing here dude?" Yusuke asked in return which made Kuwabara then point at himself.

"Me? Me me… Well, I… I. Guess…" Kuwabara stuttered as he felt a good need to calm himself cross his arms and explain to his rival his reason. "Well, it's because I have been feeling that my spiritual sensitivity is getting stronger, I have seen strange things, and I have visions of souls."

Yusuke remained stoic as he refused to go against him because he was the reason why Kuwabara had been in the crazy situation in the first place, since he was the one messing a lot with him, even after death.

"Sometimes I feel like I'm tied, so I came here to consult Genkai, and I just found out about this. I just got curious." Kuwabara explained as he made the spiritual detective Yusuke Urameshi look at him in disbelief and without a good reaction. Because he felt he wasn't aware of one thing.

"Well, I find everything very funny. But I didn't know Master Genkai would also give consultations, did you know?" Yusuke asked as he felt that everything had been a weird dream for him. Which made Kuwabara look at him annoyed and even point his finger at him.

"Ugh, you are really unaware of everything, know that Master Genkai is an expert on the first line of the spiritual arts. Did you get that?" Kuwabara commented as his finger was pointed at the tip of the nose of Yusuke as he pressed further and spun circles while he ranted to him. "She uses the spiritual waves to solve the problems, Urameshi."

Yusuke tried to act as a person who could understand, and looked away, and before he could even try to find an excuse to show that he knew. Suddenly a voice came nearby.

"Wow, you two are very loud, did you know that?" The voice made both stop and glance nearby, which surprised the duo as they saw a person shorter than them, looking like a teenager. A boy with white hair and blue eyes, and using a blue and purple combination of Shaolin clothing. But from the time the duo looked at him, the boy seemed to be talking to them while his eyes looked solemnly at the book he was holding. "Aren't you two elementary school students? Shouldn't you two be on summer break or something?"

"Tell me about it," Yusuke murmured as he then stared at the boy. "Okay sh…"

"Don't say it." Then the happy boy interrupted him while he closed his book and glared hatefully at the boy, which made Yusuke freeze on the spot, and Kuwabara himself also felt a shiver on his spine. Both of them stared at the boy who gave a strong deep breath. "Whatever you do. Don't make fun of my size, don't make fun of my size."

Yusuke and Kuwabara felt the tone of his voice getting colder as he slowly repeated the words, and the pressure the boy was giving with his eyes, made both of them in silence. And with that the boy composed himself. Which made him open the book and return to his reading.

"Sorry, it's just… I'm tired of people telling me the same comments, over and over and over again." The boy commented as he gave a glance at Yusuke, and gave a good breath before returning to his book again. "Sorry, I was just losing my composition. And I was trying to find some people which I could identify. Sorry about my outburst, let me present myself. Hi, my name is Rando. Nice to meet you."

Yusuke had his eyes wide open in terror as he could identify what he was looking for. The yokai who was trying to make himself a disciple of Master Genkai, and the one who learned 99 techniques, and killed all the people he could find… Was right in front of him. And was a freaking short child who seemly to keep reading a book, instead of keeps talking to them.

"Hey, shouldn't you be looking at the faces of the people you talk to instead of having your face stuck in the book like glue?" Kuwabara commented as he couldn't believe the boy preferred to be reading the book instead of actually talking face to face.

The boy paused his reading... And tilted his head.

"Huh, did you say something?" Rando asked as it made Kuwabara's eyes twitch, and Yusuke held his laugh, but was difficult, especially from seeing the face of the boy who seemed to get ready to start a fight.

Before any of them could reply. There was a loud drum sound which made everyone stare at the big mansion, while there was a person who seemed to be an assistant for the master…

"Attention!" The voice was loud as the crowd gathered. "There she is. Master Genkai is going to speak out, right now."

Slowly the paper doors moved by the side, and slowly walking away from the mansion, there she was, the master of Reikō Hadōken. A person who could be treated as one of the strongest people alive in the world.

"Wow, I wasn't expecting this many people." Then a voice was sharp and harsh, but also something that even in her lower voice, everyone could hear her from there.

"What a strange voice," Rando commented as he couldn't understand how different the voices were from either Japanese or English dub from the animation he watched… It was so different and yet somehow the voices fit in some way.

"Genkai is that old lady over there?" And then the crowd could see it, even Yusuke, and Kuwabara were surprised, while everyone stared at the master in disbelief, Rando shook his head. Hoping to not laugh too loud, from how much chaos the master was going to make for the others. He decided to hide the book while he could see how dangerous and how amazing Genkai was, especially since he and his deceased wife were so big fans of strong masters... Helena would have enjoyed having an autograph with a quote made by the lady badass herself.

"Beware of an old man in a profession where men die young," Rando commented which made Yusuke snap from his disbelief at the yokai who looked at the old woman in awe and respect. "Even as the age caught her, she is still one if not the most badass woman in this world."

Yusuke blinked in surprise, and looked at the master Genkai with another view… He remembered, that Rando the Yokai wanted so much to take the techniques and all the power she had. And from the job he has as a spirit detective, he needed to make sure Genkai's powers wouldn't be in the wrong hands. So he needed to pay attention to what the master was going to say.

"Attention. Let's start the trials." Genkai commented as the other candidates decided to spread the rumors about how difficult the challenges would be, making not just Yusuke but also Kuwabara uneasy. "The first trial will be… a raffle."

And with that, almost everyone fell down on the floor. From the absurd, they just heard… But there was one person still standing up. And that person who had been in his place had been trying to hold himself together, but he couldn't…

"Pfff HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA." The loud laugh made by Rando was enough to bring the attention of everyone nearby him, especially by Kuwabara and Yusuke who looked in disbelief at the person nearby them. "Hahahahaha, sorry, but that's hahahahahaha, so funny. You all went down at the same time. It was too funny to not laugh at."

Genkai herself remained serious, but she also had a slight smirk on her face, the art of disappointing and catching others by surprise, which had been a good hobby for her. And seeing how the others still looked like they couldn't believe her… It seems that nobody understood the preparations she had for her trials.

"I didn't expect that," Yusuke commented as he looked at Rando who seemed to keep trying to stop laughing. "Yeah yeah yeah, keep laughing."

"Sorry, but you should have expected that," Rando commented as he pointed at Master Genkai to explain the rules.

"Each one will take one piece of paper from this urn," The master pointed in the direction of a brown urn that had a large quantity of paper, and the groups had made a line to catch it.

Yusuke on the other hand was fuming and grinding his teeth. Until a voice made him snap from his thoughts.

"Wait, for real?" Kuwabara asked surprised as Rando nodded his head.

"Yeah, just hold the paper and try to focus your spiritual energy you have on you… From an expert of spiritual energy, the trials always should be related to spiritual energy." Rando commented as Yusuke blinked from seeing the people walking in the line. And then Rando gave one extra piece of information. "About spiritual energy, it's never a gamble, unless is something you would gamble with your life."

As the trio walked towards the urns, Rando couldn't understand what had passed on their minds, especially since Yusuke had been very quiet with him… And Rando knew the reason for that. Since the fact his appearance in this place made Koenma ask Botan to make Yusuke do work for him, and also lose his break from training with master Genkai, it would be a good introduction to the future events happening in the world.

And from the people gathering across the crowd, some were praying for their respective religions, others were trying to guess their own luck, while Rando himself was focusing on the tip of his fingers, trying to focus the small spiritual energy he had...

"Everyone got it? Does anyone is missing one?" Genkai asked as nobody raised their hands. So she decided to continue the trial. "Now, you can open them, the fortunate will be the ones who find a red paper, and the first trial will be concluded."

And everyone followed the respective orders made by the Master. As the time Rando ripped his paper, he gave a small smile, which he was right about what he knew.

"I was chosen." Both Yusuke and Kuwabara commented as both blinked at each other.

"So you both had spiritual energy enough to pass then?" Rando asked which made the duo turn their backs and look at the white-haired boy with a red paper on his hands. "I was right, anyone with enough spiritual energy was selected… and whoever had the inadequate amount of spiritual energy would get the white paper."

"Oh come on, I didn't even use spiritual energy," Yusuke complained as Rando blinked at him.

"How did you know how to turn off your spiritual energy?" Rando asked which made the delinquent blink in surprise. "Knowing how to suppress your spiritual energy to a void is something only experts know."

"Errr…" Yusuke commented as he couldn't find the right answer to it.

"In other words, the idiot doesn't know how to do that," Kuwabara commented as he got a punch on the back from the person he insulted.

"Hey, I know how to do it. Why did you even do that in the first place? You should be the one to not use the spiritual energy." Yusuke shouted angrily as both once again fought.

"Maybe I wanted to be Genkai's disciple, and I used my spiritual energy by purpose." Kuwabara puffed out his chest and looked down at his rival.

"My ass," Yusuke commented as the duo started to fight again, which Rando found very funny to see the duo acting like that.

Until a voice made both stop.

"Everyone who got the red paper follow me, the rest can go home." Genkai politely commented as she turned her back, it seemed a few of the candidates who didn't know the true meaning of her words, decided to make a stupid decision.

"Wait for a moment." Two big guys walked after her, and called her, bringing the attention of the master who was still with both hands behind her back. "We are known as the strongest of the Gyushu,"

"This raffle isn't fair. We came from very far from here." The duo commented as the public looked afraid of what was going to happen with the master, while the duo seemed to be the triple of her side, the master remained calm and looked at them as a tiger staring at ants.

"We want an explanation." The other buffed guy commented as the master used her finger to clean up her ear and stare down at the duo who came after her.

"What a bunch of louse people, imbeciles." Then it was at that moment master Genkai showed her true face, the master of insults, the woman with a sharp tongue, ready to destroy whoever disrespected her. "I will give you the chance to leave this place in peace."

"TAKE IT. YOU FOOLS," Then a loud voice made Genkai blink and stare at a boy with white hair, who was loud enough to make the duo angry with the boy as well.

"Who do you think you are boy? WE ARE NOT GOING HOME." The duo said angrily as Master Genkai was losing her patience.

"If you are not selected, it's because you don't deserve it and don't possess the true power, go away now and don't waste more of my patience," Genkai said as she was really getting angry, and from the sharped words she said, she made them angry as well.

"Are you making fun of us?" Both men decided to jump in the direction of the master.

It was time for the master to show their place, and with a loud shout, she used a strong spiritual energy wave, which was enough to make the duo of thugs being launched to the other side of the area, slamming their backs on the wood door, and even cracking. Their eyes rolled on the back, as the duo got unconscious.

Which left everyone staring at them in surprise and awe.

"That's incredible," Kuwabara commented, as Rando rolled his eyes.

"And that's what happens when you anger Master Genkai, they are lucky that she didn't kill them. That's what happens when you provoke a badass, always will get humiliated." Rando commented as he stared at Yusuke who seemed to be surprised as well. "See?"

"Those big guys were just knocked down by the spiritual sheer force of Master Genkai." Yusuke ignored the comment made by Rando and turned his back to the master who just commented herself in shame.

"My power has been decreasing, must be because of my age, with one eye I could have knocked down the jerks. My spiritual aura has gotten weaker with the time. It's impossible to go against the time." Genkai composed herself as she decided to follow her path, and decided to call out the winners. "Don't stay down there, follow me quick."

Yusuke was smiling as Kuwabara was with his hands in his pockets.

"That's impressive, that would knock down anyone. Even I would want to learn that technique." Yusuke gave a smile as he then glanced at Rando who just raised a potato chip sack.

"Want some?" Rando commented as he offered for both teenagers who were just surprised by his antics.

"Ohhh potato chips," Kuwabara commented happily as he accepted the snacks, while Yusuke gave a look of suspicion at him.

"Why are you here Rando?" Yusuke asked as he narrowed his eyes at him, which the boy stopped munching his snack, and raised his eyebrow.

"Well, I thought that's obvious." Rando tilted his head… And with a good smile on his face decided to tell. "I want to find a 100th technique for me… That way I would be known as Rando of 100 techniques, instead of 99."

"99 techniques?" Kuwabara commented in disbelief as he even scoffed. "There was no way someone…"

Kuwabara almost said it, when he felt a huge stomp on the feet, which was a stomp made by the boy in front of him.

"Yes Kuwabara, 99 techniques. I just want to ask an advice on which would be the best 100th technique for me before I try to master them. And who would be the best to teach me, than master Genkai herself?" Rando commented as the trio decided to walk on the same path and follow the crowd. "What about you? You seemed the type of person who was dragged into this situation against your will."

Yusuke paused as if he really wanted to comment on something, but then Rando had his eyes wide open in surprise.

"You were bribed to be here?" Rando asked in genuine disbelief, as even Kuwabara couldn't help but chuckle.

"Oh, that's what I want to hear, who wants you to be here and what they offered to try to be a disciple of Genkai?" Kuwabara asked, as that infuriated the spirit detective who shouted at the duo.

"I DIDN'T WANT TO BE HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE, BUT THE FIGHT OF MARTIAL ARTS CHAMPIONSHIP IN TOKIO DONI WILL HAPPEN IN A FEW DAYS," Yusuke shouted angrily while he forgot that his whole mission was to make sure Rando wasn't supposed to be the one being the disciple of the Master, but somehow he got sidetracked.

"AHHHH? THEY GOT A TICKET FOR YOU?" Kuwabara shouted in disbelief and admiration, while Rando looked amused. "I thought they were all run out. I spent weeks trying to get one but I was out of luck."

"Well it was the only reason I'm here," Yusuke said a good part of him while part of him was interested in being the one selected to be the disciple, remembered he had a focus on having his well-deserved vacations.

At the time the trio got inside the place, they were granted by the arcades in front of them. Blackjack machines, punch-out arcade, karaoke. And even a Ja Ken Po (Rock, Paper, Scissors) game machine which Rando snorted because of one main character who used the 3 principles of Jajanken style to be one of the strongest Nen users ever made.

"But what is this, what is this place?" Yusuke asked in disbelief, while Kuwabara looked disturbed the same way as him.

"Oh well, this is an arcade," Kuwabara commented as it was obvious.

Rando looked above him, in the same way the crowd stared at Genkai who was standing above them in a position, while she was going to explain the second trial.

"The second trial will be here, you all will have to play the games," Genkai instructed the candidates as Rando decided to raise his hand.

"Excuse me Master, but can you explain what is the purpose of those machines?" Rando decided to ask as Yusuke and Kuwabara raised their eyebrows at him, which he just shrugged off like he also had no idea what was going on.

"Those gamers are not simple, these arcades measure and test your spiritual power, like Jan Ken Po measures the perception, the punch out the spiritual strength, and the Karaoke the level of energy… All of them are made specifically for this." Genkai explained as Rando looked satisfied with the explanation. "You must be approved in 2 of those machines or you will return home."

"I will be the first one." A guy commented as the trio watched the person who seemed to be cocky about his strength. "I'm great at punching, you will all see what I can do."

"How much do you think he can get as spiritual strength? My guess is 50." Rando commented as surprised both Kuwabara and Yusuke from the question.

"What do you mean by that?" Kuwabara commented, as suddenly the cocky person gave the punch as strong as he could.

And then the person punched, which to the surprise of everyone… was only 18 points. And being reproved from the trial.

"That's not possible, every time I did this machine I always did great. I don't understand." The person commented as Genkai decided to shed light on the ignorance of the others.

"You know nothing, nothing at all, the results always will be negative if you don't combine the physical force, with the spiritual force," Genkai explained as the crow could understand how things were serious.

Kuwabara decided to use all his strength and punch all he could, and combined with the spiritual sensitivity he had, it created a punch of 129 points, surprising everyone.

"Hey guys, did you see my strength?" Kuwabara smirked, as he felt superior while both Yusuke and Rando were preparing their own fists with the gloves they got.

"Yeah stop that Kuwabara, come on, let me show you how to do a true punch, keep watching me big boy, keep watching me." Yusuke then used all his strength he could, and with a good swing, he punched the ball with such force that surprised everyone with 155 points and made people look in disbelief. "Feel that? Just like Popó."

"Ugh, I can't believe it… what about you Rando?" Kuwabara commented as he then saw the boy in a weird position like he was placing his hand in front of the fist. And near his foot, there was a book on the floor opened... "Errr. Rando?"

"Not now Kuwabara, let me concentrate." Rando gave a deep breath, and decided to give try it… He couldn't use all his spiritual energy or all his strength, he needed to find a balance but not exaggerate, he would need to use a percentage of what he could do, but not break anything. And that's difficult because he would only have one shot. "First comes the rock… Jan Ken… ROCK"

Then both Yusuke and Kuwabara saw Rando jump and give a strong punch which made a loud sound and the impact was enough to make a good 195p which was approved. And surprising the duo who stared at the boy who just caught his book on the floor and made a peace sign with victory.

Making both of them frustrated.

"Oh come on, don't be like that, you can try to beat me in the next game," Rando commented as the trio went to Jan Ken Po machine, and then went after the karaoke, then they went to other games just for the sake to enjoy and pass the time competing against each other.

"Look at that, it seems there are some candidates who seem to be worth my time." Genkai smiled as she knew that on that day she could find someone with great potential to be trained by her and learn about her doctrine.

From the remaining contestants, there remained only 20 finalists, and now they were ready for the third trial. Where everyone moved in the direction of the place where the trial would be made.

And at the time they got there, they found nothing like that, a dark forest which emanates dark spiritual force, while the trees looked dry and dead, while the sounds of the crows could be heard from a place which would be known as a place of death of everything.

"Man, what a sinister place, what the hell is this place?" Yusuke commented as both Rando and Kuwabara nodded their heads in understanding. And from seeing Genkai appearing in front of them, it seems things will get harder from there.

"The first 2 trials were easy, the third one will be strict," Genkai explained as some of the contestants commented on how the forest was strange. "This forest is denominated the Devil's forest, here compasses are useless, and over that forest, there are deadly creatures and traps, and there are also a few demons, if a common person gets inside of this forest, they cannot get out from there alive. The finish line will be that giant tree. This trial will be limited to 2 hours, whoever reaches that point will be approved."

From that point cowards decided to give up on the challenge since they felt their lives meant more to them than wasting by suicide missions was a very funny view for Master Genkai

"Ho ho ho. That's a very wise decision, whoever has the spiritual sensibility, knows very well the horrors inside of this forest," Master Genkai laughed as she gave the last chance for the cowards to leave, while the others nodded their heads at her decision.

"The master was right, whoever is going to take the challenge would be the people who were very prepared." The long-haired boy commented as nearby him there was a person who looked like a ninja, but there was a weird tattoo on his head, which was something nobody ever thought about calling him out. "Let the cowards take their way home."

Yusuke who was staring at the situation, passed a few seconds, but then he couldn't drop a challenge, since now he felt motivated.

"You know what? I'm going to take the challenge because I saw that old rag doing that cool attack, I cannot go away without learning that technique." Yusuke commented rudely, and that was exactly what made Genkai furious.

"CALL ME MASTER, YOU INSOLENT," Genkai said as she was very angry with Yusuke who seemed to ignore her and walked towards the duo who seemed to be talking on his back.

"Hey listen here long haired guy, you are big but you're not two, I'm small but I'm not half. I'm not going to let that pass anyway." Yusuke commented as he saw Rando grabbing on his shoulder. "Not now Rando."

"Yusuke, let these guys, they aren't worth it," Rando commented as he rolled his eyes, and by dragging the spiritual detective, he couldn't help but comment. "Wow, it has been the first time I heard such a quote, do you mind if I use it?"

"What, about the person being big but not two? Sure." Yusuke felt caught by surprise, as the duo walked towards Kuwabara, who was smirking at them.

"If you guys are going, I'm also going as well," Kuwabara said as the trio saw Genkai decide to start the first trial.

"Well then, let's start the trial. Attention… GO!" Genkai shouted as the candidates ran through the forest. Crossing the lines and going deep in the darkness.

And for their surprise, Genkai also decided to be part of the challenge and run with them as well.

"I'm going ahead, and you will all use the spiritual powers to find your way, whoever can keep up with me will be ahead." And with that, the old master sped up at such speed that surprised everyone.

"Oh damn, I need to keep up with the old Genkai," Kuwabara commented as he tried to keep up the pace.

"She would kill you if she heard that you called her like that," Rando replied as he himself already knew what would probably be the best way to find the path… Following the spiritual energy that he wasn't well trained into using yet… Or… "I'm following you Kuwabara,"

"Why the need to use spiritual powers? If I go straight line I will be the first." Yusuke commented to himself when that time would be when the group would split.

Kuwabara paused and then turned to the right, which was followed by a few others, while Yusuke was the only one who decided to go far straight. Which would be known to be courageous and yet stupid at the same time.

As time passed, the traps happened, and snakes fell from the trees and attacked the weakest members, then vines were captured to trap some others who were too distracted.

Genkai was on the top looking at the clock while she stared at the deep forest in front of her.

"It has been an hour, and until now there isn't a sign of life nearby," Genkai commented as she decided to use her spiritual energy to track the contestants. "Let me see where they are. Huh, the quickest is 500 meters from here."

.

.

.

"Now it's just 15 minutes before the trial is over," Genkai commented as she looked at her clock, it seemed that she had overestimated the potential candidates as she monologued with herself. "The candidates must be suffering, later I will help the ones who couldn't find their way over here… huh?"

Then the master had her eyes opened in surprise to see not one but 2 of the candidates approaching the big tree.

Kuwabara and Rando seemed exhausted and panting from the marathon they just had. Kuwabara looked very surprised there were only them who got to the finish line.

"I'm the first one to reach this place?" Kuwabara commented in disbelief, while Master Genkai looked impressed and surprised to see them two.

"You did it. Congratulations." Genkai nodded her head with a proud smile which made Kuwabara cheer himself and start to laugh. The other boy was happy for being able to trust the Kuwabara's sensitivity to the spiritual world since it would be very hard for him to get used to the concept of spiritual arts that he had been caught on, having someone almost normal like Kuwabara, it had been a good foundation for himself to relax a bit more, and enjoy the good time of the trials they are having. But that doesn't mean that trial wasn't easy, since the forest was very unpredictable and many challenges happened around the said forest.

From predators to even dangerous plants that would want to capture them. Traps that only people who weren't paying attention would be easily caught on it. And for those weak of heart, it was indeed a good choice for them to give up on the trials.

"Damn, we did it. It was rough, but at least we did it." Rando commented as he himself felt more relieved and sat on the grass to enjoy a bit of rest.

And then when 2 other contestants appeared with their intimidated aura, they didn't even care about the Kuwabara who reached the point first… While the delinquent boy looked intimidated. Rando on the other hand rolled his eyes.

"Don't mind the nazi, Kuwabara," Rando commented as he opened a book and started reading, however, due his comment made the duo narrow his eyes.

"Who are you calling nazi?" One of the duo, especially the bald one seemed to be getting irritated with the comment.

"I don't know, who is the one who uses the symbol of nazi as a tattoo on the forehead?" Rando commented as he didn't even take his eyes from the page he was reading, which a simple comment made Kuwabara, the big man ready for combat, and the person dressed as a ninja himself realized what he said, Kuwabara and the other warrior turned their heads to see the forehead of the ninja, who just gritted his teeth.

"That's Manji's symbol from Buddhism, there isn't anything related to Nazi." The ninja person commented as Rando simply shrugged.

"Whatever you say, man," Rando commented waving one of his hands while he was reading the book... But as soon he turned his back while he approached Kuwabara. "He is totally a nazi, but is in complete denial,"

Kuwabara raised both his eyebrows as he looked at the person fuming while turning his head to look at the other contestants who simply turned their backs, which made him look even angrier.

"Just ignore him," Rando commented as he continued reading his book, which Kuwabara decided to ask the boy.

"Why are you reading the book so much?" Kuwabara when he first asked was very mad at him when he ignored him while he wasn't even paying attention to him at the time they met on the doors of the Genkai's mansion, but now he couldn't help but ask in curiosity.

Rando suddenly closed the book and passed a few seconds in contemplation before answering the delinquent boy.

"Well, it's from all the notes and memories I had from the time I was training, to remind me of the arsenal I have for what kind of possibilities and opponents I could be dealing with on this trial," Rando answered the question, which made Kuwabara suddenly stop and then had his eyes wide open from his comment. "You never know what kind of dangers could happen around, so you always should have a few plans on your head before going head-on in the battle."

"That's actually smart..." Kuwabara commented, as he never realized someone was intelligent while thinking into a way of fighting. "So you more think about using tricks than actually going to a brawl?"

"Well, I could give a good fight, but you never know what can happen." Rando smiled as he seemed to have created a good kind of conversation with Kuwabara and to be honest, he was glad to have someone he could have a good talk with and treat as a friend. "And what about you Kuwabara, you and that boy Urameshi seemed to be kinda close, you two have a history together?"

"OH HELL NO" Kuwabara shouted as it brought the attention of the others looking at the delinquent who suddenly got caught in the attention, so he decided to catch up and be less loud about his answer. "We have been fighting each other since childhood, you could say that he is my number one rival, and we will always have a fight for whatever is going to happen."

"Really?" Rando commented that he already knew the reason for why the sudden story, but hearing from the character A.K.A. the person who always gets beaten by the main character, but also a person who was the one who even the funeral acted like himself and challenged a dead man to a fight, there was everything it could move the hearts of the others, even Yusuke who never thought Kuwabara as a friend, but after that moment, he got more into Kuwabara's point view and understood what it really meant for his life. "Well, how about you tell me the times you fought each other? Since you two have a good rivalry together, then you must have good stories to share about the times you fought until both got knocked out, right?"

"Yeah, you could say that." Kuwabara commented as he looked proud of himself, "There was one time that I and Urameshi had to work together to take down a bastard who decided to kidnap my cat, even as I hate him most of the time, I cannot deny that he is really strong and even stubborn. Not even death would make him give up." Kuwabara commented as he decided to share the times and adventures both had together, just for Rando, since the others wouldn't be able to listen to the duo since they were focused on talking over themselves, meditating, or even doing whatever they wanted, neither could hear Kuwabara sharing the time Yusuke had a funeral because he sacrificed his life, and then a few days later, even weeks, the boy suddenly woke up and got alive once again...

Which was indeed a story of miracle, but for Rando... it was the start of one great era of animes, since that arc was indeed very emotional, and something that he and his wife always had a good time watching together... Or the times he and Miguel would beat the crap of each other just like Yusuke and Kuwabara, it was indeed a good time for himself to enjoy the melancholy of his memories. But still, he couldn't help but keep smiling and learning more and more about the thoughts and the experience Kuwabara had when he probably lost his rival but also his best friend.

As time passed more and more candidates appeared, and soon the final point of the trial was over.

"It seems the time was over," Genkai commented as Kuwabara tried to ask for the master to give Yusuke a few more minutes, but she wasn't willing to do it. Until Rando and the others heard the iconic voice of Yusuke approaching.

"Wow, STOP STOP STOP RIGHT THERE," Yusuke shouted as Kuwabara and the others looked surprised to see the boy exhausted approaching them… "Dammit, I thought it would have been a good idea to go straight line, but I was very mistaken, I passed a lot of trouble coming here. Did you know that?"

"You came in a straight line?" Genkai asked in surprise, that she never thought someone would be courageous to come from that kind of path since there was a strong yokai living in the forest. "But the master of the bats you found on your path is very strong."

"Pfff, aunty, that little bat? It was more like a crazy cockroach. In comparison to Hiei, he is nothing, But I wasted a lot of time with him and you know right? Hehehe " Yusuke explained as he even laughed sheepishly but Kuwabara looked very angry at the fact his friend committed a terrible mistake.

"You idiot, why are you laughing? You didn't get here on time. Did you forget that?" Kuwabara said angrily while Rando also continued.

"We were waiting for you dude. You should have come faster." The boy commented as Yusuke looked surprised and in disbelief as well.

"Really? How did I not get here? Come on, I'm right here." Yusuke said as he showed a good example that he managed to be on there.

The only reason why Master Genkai decided to give a chance for him… was because she was impressed by the boy's talent he had.

"Hehehe, alright, I'm going to give you a chance." Genkai smiled as she decided to make such a decision, and from the way she said it, both Kuwabara and Yusuke felt so happy that they hugged each other.

Until the duo saw Rando smirking at them, as the other candidates looked at the duo with bored looks.

"What the hell man, do you want to start a fight with me? What the hell was that?" Yusuke said in an angry tone challenging his rival to a fight, while Kuwabara felt the same.

"I'm the one who is supposed to be saying that, who do you think you are?" Kuwabara replied as both stared at each other angrily, while Rando smirked.

"And you said you two didn't have a story like that Kuwabara, I almost believed you." Rand decided to tease, which made both delinquents have their red faces from both anger and embarrassment.

"SHUT THE HELL UP, RANDO." Both shouted as the yokai boy chuckled, and both looked at each other angrily.

While in the afterworld, where there was a huge office in relation to the spiritual lives of the humans who died, there was a person who stared at the screen showing a picture of the duo fighting on the screen.

The person who was watching that scene was nobody other than the responsible for the souls of the people who died, a person who had thousands of years while remaining the same height as a kid of 5 years old, but very mature and wise who was watching the screen in worry.

"Yusuke, you shouldn't forget your mission, beware, boy, Rando is also participating and also made contact with you. Don't let him be the disciple of Genkai or attack you by surprise." Koenma commented that he never thought Rando from all the people seemed to be blended among people Yusuke was familiar with, seeming that he possibly compromised Yusuke in his own way… "Rando, what are you planning?"

That was something the king of the afterlife was asking himself after being confused about the way a famous sadistic yokai looked so different from the way he used to live… Now it seems to try to figure out why he wanted so much to find a 100th technique and he feared that his friend would be the person who would die because of it.

"I just hope everything ends well," Koenma commented as he prayed for the safety of his employee...
