Author's note: Well I had been inspired to write this chapter, and I can't wait to see you guys ready for what I'm planning to do for the future, now for answering the reviews.
Just Guessing. Well the version he created was similar to Darth Vader, the OG of siths, but then he just ripped the Kuwabara's page, which mean that he couldn't steal his technique anymore, and he cannot copy Hiei's techniques because that would mean that he had to kill Hiei... So yeahhhh nooooo. He will have his own skill set ready for himself, I hope you get ready for the future. XD
Just Guest. You probably mean doppelganger, which would be a very neat trick, but from the version of HunterXHunter is kinda terrible technique since Hisoka told the doppelganger needs to be nearby the body all the time, and I know some techniques that could be way better than that version of skill.
Sleepy Guest. Yeah, the next arc is going to be very interesting. XD
Ghostly Guest. Yeah, Rando has Zaraki's Kempachi intimidating skills, which is very horrifying for people who wants to mess with him hahahaha
Eccentric Guest . Well, Rando wouldn't need gimmics from Kiban or Kazemaru, he already has weapons on his own, and you would be surprised on what I'm about to use as a weapon, but also very logic. XD
Just a wee guest. Yeah, get prepared for this chapter and then the next one. XD
Hyper LOL Guest. You will see XD
Guest99 . Well get ready for the chapter today. XD
Mr. E Guest. I'm glad that you liked the idea, hahahaha, I thought about this being the best Revenge Rando could give for the stupid main character plot armor Yusuke, XD. Making him suffer from training hahaha.
coldblue2015 . Yeah Rando developed his book into using as inspiration the Bandit's Secret, however while incomplete, Rando placed his own conditions for now which would be: 1- He must know how the technique works, 2- He must made the person holds his book, 3- Must kill the person in 24 hours... Different from Chrollo, the person must touch the book in one hour, while the other must kill the user of the technique, which would incorporate his own skill for him. Also by letting the book open, the technique would be used in 100%, but with the book closed, the technique would probably be on 10 to 20%, which would recquires him to train a lot. And that's a good way to make sure as restriction until he finds his 100th technique, because at the time he finds it, he will changes everything and do more conditions for his techniques to make them stronger.
And yeah, while some techniques would be displayed as nen, but there was also some techniques that he will possibly skills that were what inspired future techniques which were used in some anime as well. I cannot tell you what I have been planning, but I have in mind 99 techniques which I will have been writing down as a good display on what he should do to display the techniques. So get ready for when the true arc of fighting appears, Rando will take off his kids gloves XD.
1) How will Kurama/Shiroi Minamino/Yoko and Hiei interact with Rando?
Rando is the type of person who would call out both Kurama and Hiei for their lack of tact into acting as older brothers, since Kurama is a person where his young step brother always looks up on him, he always should be aware that kid would also would try to emulate him, so why not show him a true part of himself like making him also starts liking botanic and flowers? And don't get me start on Hiei, Rando would literally call him scumbag from letting Yukina cry, and while he would be moody and edgy, he should have been the one killing the pathetic rich who made Yukina's life a nightmare.
Even as they were suspicious of each other, they were strong, and possibly were forced to work together, like how Kuwabara did with Hiei, so it would be a good team in the long term.
2) Can we expect Rando to get far in his understanding of Nen/Demon energy training by reaching a point of using Nen/Demon energy in his sleep like "Hunter X Hunter" suggests when they reach a milestone before the Saint Beast Arc?
Well he had to follow the arcs happening across the anime, so of course he needs to get stronger, but his training, you know where he could gets his basics from...
3) Does Rando have his own unique Specialist Hatsu or is his ability based on Chrollo Lucifier Hatsu, just different name like 100 Techniques Skill Book or something?
Yes he does, but it's incomplete, when he reaches the 100 it will be something way more interesting with more conditions and restrictions which will makes him even more powerful.
4) Can we expect Great King Enma and Special Defense Force to be disturb with Rando growing power/understanding of each of his Techniques?
This was fated to happen, does Rando care or mind? No, since he doesn't take serious the Special Defense Force, since they are a bunch of losers who couldn't do their service right and try to deal with Shisui, and had to leave everything in the hands of Yusuke to defeat the former spiritual detective. If Yusuke doesn't treat them seriously, neither should Rando, but there is something that Rando knows more and will always takes advantage over king Emma... Rando has the Evil Morty vibes, so you will understand his position across the balance of the spiritual world.
5) If Rando soul is that of Human and his body that Demon, does Rando Spirit/Nen energy feel different to both Human Psychics and Demons?
No it doesn't, since the human soul from Rando is from our world, we never had unlocked the true aura or nen from our world, so he is using the spiritual energy which would be the demonic force only.
I hope that explained well. And I hope you like this chapter. And get ready for more in the future. XD
"Ughhhhhh, dammit..." A voice could be heard in the middle of the forest, in the same place where a boy with white hair was cursing in the middle of the forest, as the animals looked in curiosity at the sound of smashing happening over the floor... "I didn't even pass the 200 and the rock in my hand already crushed..."
Rando felt a lot of stress over his mind as the training he had to be doing on himself had been very stressful and exhausting, from the fact that since he was still in the first stages of Nen, and had to learn so quickly in a rushed form, it was way inferior than the actual version of the Hunter X Hunter... And since the night when he returned from the Genkai's trial, he looked at himself and noticed that while using Hatsu to make a hole and a fissure on the floor for intimidation factor, it wouldn't work in case he would fight someone way stronger than him.
Knowing Yusuke, he would probably start his hellish training with Genkai, forcing his spiritual energy into exhaustion, and from there become way stronger...
If wasn't for the fact Yusuke was the main character, Rando could have defeated him easily in a way that would be hilarious, but he needed Yusuke to get stronger because of the world they live in, the spiritual world, and also the demons and Yokais that would try anything to destroy the world, or worse... hurt the people they cared about, it was something that Rando had to give to Yusuke, Genkai needed a student like Yusuke, and Yusuke needed a master like Genkai...
And while Genkai would have been a great master to teach him and Kuwabara, he knew that she wanted to pass her techniques to Yusuke, and from that time, she would finally get something that she never thought she would need so much... A family.
*SMASH*
"DAMMIT, Now I couldn't pass 10 rocks..." Rando commented as he crashed the rock on his hands into dust... Trying to learn the basics of Biscuit training was very hard... Especially knowing that her kind of training was brutal in many ways... He needed to learn how to use his Nen Types correctly, and from seeing the techniques in the book, he must also know how to control his spiritual energy and try to replicate everything from the memories of Rando done by the books. Sometimes in his dreams, he could have relapses of memories of Rando still having his sadistic side showing memories of how he killed a few martial artists by using their own skills against them...
"And I'm grateful for that, at least I can understand how Rando used some of them, it helped me to adapt and use them by myself," Rando commented as he knew the former spirit of Rando was dead... but the memories were in pieces and sometimes it appeared which by lucky and pure ignorance, he ignored the guilty that person did since he isn't the person who committed such atrocities, and knowing that his disguise was good enough to fool even some of the strong demons and Yokais of rank B, there was no way anyone could have identified him...
As much as Rando was a sadistic bastard, he clearly knew well how to hide himself and disguise himself in a way that would trick anyone... But differently from him in the past... This Rando doesn't want to live hiding and running, he wants to have his own life, irony is a bitch, and karma did kick the sadic cretine in the balls, which he deserved it.
But with this life... Rando wants to simply enjoy living again. As his other soul had, enjoyed his life to the fullest, and enjoyed the anime by living it, in resume, he would need to be in Yusuke's city since everything usually starts from there.
"You know what? That's enough for enhancement... Better start transmutation now, shaping 0 through 9 while I keep running." Rando said as he decided to go into a path, knowing that in the middle of the forest, if he wasn't aware of his nearby, he could trip into a rock, or vine or get his face smashing a tree if he gets distracted... "Well, training without my book will always suck, but if I do it without using it will be very useful, and probably will be way stronger when I start using my book... And after all this exhausting training, a good nap before work."
The Louvre was bathed in the soft, golden light of early morning, its grand halls and galleries still echoing with the silence of the night. A lone security guard, Pierre, was making his rounds, his heavy footsteps the only sound resonating through the hallowed corridors. He walked slowly, whistling a tune that had been stuck in his head all morning "La Vie en Rose," the classic French melody that had captured hearts for decades. The notes floated gently in the air, mingling with the faint hum of the museum's ventilation system.
Pierre had worked at the Louvre for nearly fifteen years. His routine was as familiar as the back of his hand: the same routes, the same rooms, the same timeless works of art. Today was no different, or so he thought. His mind wandered to his plans for the weekend, perhaps a quiet evening with a bottle of wine and a rerun of his favorite show. As he turned a corner, he took a moment to admire a familiar painting, barely glancing at it before continuing his whistling, completely oblivious to the world around him.
If Pierre had been more alert, more attuned to the subtle shifts in his surroundings, he might have noticed something amiss. He might have realized that the Mona Lisa, the star of the Louvre's collection, was no longer smiling back at him from her usual spot. He might have seen that the statues, once proudly standing guard in the gallery, had vanished without a trace. But he didn't. Not until he reached the grand hall where the French crown jewels were displayed.
The whistling stopped abruptly. Pierre's eyes snapped open, and his heart skipped a beat as he took in the scene before him. The glass cases, which should have housed the priceless royal jewels, were empty. His gaze darted around the room in disbelief. Every display, every pedestal, every inch of the Louvre's vast collection... gone. The museum, once filled with centuries of human achievement, was now a barren wasteland of marble floors and empty walls.
Panic surged through him like ice water in his veins. Pierre fumbled for his radio, his fingers trembling as he tried to process what he was seeing. He stammered into the device, his voice cracking with fear. "M-mon Dieu! The Louvre... it's... it's empty! Everything's gone!"
His words echoed in the empty halls, and within moments, the quiet stillness of the Louvre erupted into chaos. Alarms blared, red lights flashed, and the museum's security team scrambled into action. The police were alerted, and within minutes, the streets of Paris were buzzing with the news. The greatest heist in history had taken place under their very noses, leaving behind nothing but an eerie emptiness and a million unanswered questions.
As Pierre stood frozen in the middle of the grand hall, his eyes wide with shock, he couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of dread. The Louvre was empty, and the world would soon know.
The opulent ballroom of one of Dubai's most luxurious hotels buzzed with frenetic energy. Crystal chandeliers hung overhead, casting a dazzling light on the scene below. Wealthy collectors, art enthusiasts, and billionaires from around the globe filled the room, their eyes fixed on the stage where the centerpiece of the night was displayed: the Mona Lisa.
The atmosphere was electric, charged with the kind of excitement that only the most exclusive and scandalous auctions could evoke. Whispers of disbelief and awe floated through the air, how had the Mona Lisa, the crown jewel of the Louvre, ended up here, far from the walls of Paris? But the mystery only added to the allure, and soon the murmurs were drowned out by the sharp, rapid-fire bidding.
"One hundred million!" called out a voice from the back.
"Two hundred and fifty million!" countered another from the front.
The bids climbed higher and higher, the numbers reaching astronomical figures in a matter of seconds. The auctioneer, a seasoned professional, barely kept up with the frenzy, his hammer poised to strike at any moment.
"Four hundred million!"
"Four hundred and fifty!"
"Six hundred million!"
The room was a maelstrom of tension and anticipation. The Mona Lisa, that enigmatic smile, now bore witness to an event that would go down in history. The bidding war became a battle of wills, the stakes escalating beyond anything the art world had ever seen. Finally, a voice cut through the chaos, clear and decisive.
"Nine hundred and fifty million!"
The room fell silent. Eyes turned toward the source of the bid, a figure seated at the edge of the room, cloaked in the shadows of the dim lighting. The auctioneer's voice wavered as he called for any further bids, but none came. The hammer came down with a resounding crack.
"Sold! For Nine hundred and fifty million dollars!"
A collective gasp rippled through the crowd, quickly followed by a stunned silence. The Mona Lisa had just become the most expensive painting in the world, and the new owner, a wealthy and mysterious tycoon, stepped forward to claim the prize.
On stage, the woman overseeing the auction, with her elegant posture and composed demeanor, smiled a smile that only those closest could see was laced with satisfaction. She handed over the painting, its intricate golden frame gleaming under the lights, to the new owner. The transaction was completed with an air of formality, but beneath the surface, there was an unspoken tension, something almost imperceptible, something that only the woman knew.
As the room erupted into applause, she gracefully closed the auction, her voice carrying over the din. "Thank you, everyone, for your participation. This is a night we will all remember. And please don't be sad, since next week we will be selling something that will completely break the minds of the whole of Europe, the Jewels of the French Crown…"
The collective gasp and the explosive reaction of the greedy buyers were exactly what the girl had been expecting from them, as their demands and excitement to see the jewels of the history of France was something that any good collector would want for themselves. And since they were the richest in the world, they wouldn't care about the morals of the paintings being stolen, since that's how usually the underground painting auctions happen.
Everyone wins...
With that, she left the stage, her expression serene but with a knowing glint in her eyes. Finally the payment from the transaction. She glided through the crowd, exchanging pleasantries with some of the most influential people in the world, before slipping away unnoticed.
In the bathroom, she checked to ensure she was alone. The opulent, mirrored walls reflected her poised figure as she approached a stall at the end of the room. With a swift, practiced motion, she touched the wall, tracing a small, almost imperceptible symbol with her finger. A portal shimmered into existence, a dark void that beckoned her.
She stepped through, emerging in a space that was vastly different from the luxurious hotel. It was a room, her room, deep within a hidden dimension accessible only to her. The air here was cool and still, the walls lined with treasures from across the world—paintings, sculptures, jewels, all stolen, all hers. All from one place that nobody could understand how easy the technology of the 90s could be so easily passed…
With a smirk, she paused before a mirror. Slowly, deliberately, she let the Nen flow through her, altering her form. Her elegant features shifted, the refined beauty replaced by something more menacing. Her body morphed, shrinking and tightening as muscles reformed, and in moments, the woman was gone. In her place stood Rando, the ruthless and cunning yokai, now wearing a satisfied grin. With his white hair and a cheeky smile on his face.
"Another good day of work," Rando muttered to himself, his voice with a tired and proud tone of himself. Knowing that he would change all that quantity of millions to Yens, will help him to have a more comfortable life in Japan, or whatever country he would take his vacations. It was far better than pickpockets in Japan, however, such a decision he made was only for one go. And he wouldn't be able to do it again.
But it didn't matter, since he already had all the Louvre's masterpieces… There were only a few things he would like to do first.
"And now you probably miss your country where you belong…" Rando commented on the most known painting which still had the mysterious smile over him. "I will drop you in Florence with a letter saying you are just a copy to help you to remain hidden or exposed only on the city hall, and send a copy of you to Louvre which will make them probably have a heart attack…"
Rando took his book and looking page by page, he finally could give a smile on the painting in front of him.
"I'm so glad that this ability is so busted here, if was like on Hunter x Hunter, we wouldn't have been able to do this…" Rando commented as he laid the book nearby still opened, and closed his eyes. "In the condition of passing hours and using most of my nen as well… I can create the perfect copy which would remain as long as you do… Divine Left Hand, Demonic Right Hand (GALLERY FAKE.)"
And with that, the spiritual energy became a mix between red and purple colors, as the objects could only be the witness of one of the trickiest and most brilliant heists of the whole century, and with nobody smart enough to identify which was original, and which one was fake anymore...
The sun blazed down on the bustling streets of the city, the heat of summer saturating the air with a warm, lazy vibe. It was summer break, and for most students, this was a time to relax, hang out with friends, and enjoy a few weeks of freedom before the grind of school life resumed. Kazuma Kuwabara, however, found himself wandering aimlessly through the city, his usual group of friends otherwise occupied. Yusuke was off training with Genkai, honing his spirit energy and skills, which left Kuwabara with more time on his hands than he knew what to do with.
Kuwabara's hands were shoved deep into his pockets as he strolled down the sidewalk, his eyes casually scanning the storefronts and passersby. He wasn't in any particular rush; the day was his to waste, and he intended to make the most of it. Maybe he'd hit up an arcade later or grab some snacks from his favorite convenience store. But for now, he was content just walking.
The peace of the summer afternoon was abruptly shattered when Kuwabara noticed a commotion up ahead. A crowd had gathered near a small park, voices raised in excitement and disbelief. Curious, he quickened his pace, his brows knitting together as he tried to figure out what was going on.
As he got closer, he began to catch snippets of conversation from the people around him.
"Did you see that? He just beat his hundredth opponent!"
"No way, a kid like that? Impossible!"
"He's got some kind of freakish strength, I tell ya!"
Kuwabara blinked, his curiosity piqued. He pushed his way through the crowd, his broad shoulders easily parting the sea of onlookers. When he finally reached the front, his eyes widened in shock at the scene before him.
In the middle of the crowd was a makeshift arm-wrestling table, where a man twice the size of any normal person was struggling against a much smaller opponent... a boy, no older than a teenager. The man's face was contorted with effort, sweat dripping down his forehead as he tried to force the boy's hand down. But the boy held firm, his own face twisted in concentration, his muscles tensed as he slowly but surely began to overpower the man.
With a final grunt of effort, the boy slammed the man's hand onto the table, winning the match. The crowd erupted into cheers and gasps of disbelief, but Kuwabara could only stand there, his mouth hanging open.
There was no mistaking that shock of white hair, or the purple shirt that was stretched across the boy's lean frame. It was a face he knew all too well, one that had haunted him whenever he thought of calling a person short, or anything related to the low height because provoking such a beast was both very exciting but also very dangerous.
"Kuwabara, can you believe this?" Then a voice made the orange-haired boy stop and look on his side, it was a group of 3 teenagers wearing black uniforms as they usually wear. Kirishima, Okubo, and Sawamura were also staring at the commotion around. "That boy just came from nowhere and showed a jewel that would cost at least 2 million yen. And said however the person would beat him in an arm wrestling would get the jewel."
"What?" Kuwabara stared in disbelief as then he realized who would be a person crazy enough to do something so ridiculous to defeat many people in arm wrestling. "Did Rando just lose his mind?"
"Rando?" The trio asked in surprise as then they blinked into seeing another person trying to defeat the boy who didn't seem to even sweat yet. "Do you know him?"
"Yeah, I know… he is the person I tried to challenge and got my ass kicked a few times while Urameshi was training with Master Genkai," Kuwabara commented as the group of friends looked a bit surprised by the news.
"Oh so that was him…"Okubo commented, "I was kinda worried about you always finding a way to get bandages around your body. So that means that boy is dangerous?"
"Yes he is, and he hates when people call him short or whatever talks about his height, trust me, he is a demon when someone provokes him about his …" Kuwabara didn't even have time to finish when suddenly the boy used a lot of strength which made the man in front of him went down on the floor, breaking the table as the boy looked very annoyed and with his eyes promising pain… "That's what happens when someone talks about his height."
Rando clenched his fists, his eyes narrowing as he looked around at the crowd. He took a deep breath, clearly trying to keep his temper in check. "That's enough for today!" he announced, his voice carrying over the murmurs of the onlookers. "I'll be back another day if anyone's still interested in the challenge. But for now, it's over."
The crowd groaned in disappointment, but no one dared to argue. They slowly began to disperse, leaving Rando standing alone by the broken table. He sighed, rubbing the back of his neck as he scanned the retreating crowd—until his eyes landed on Kuwabara and his friends.
"Kuwabara. Didn't expect to see you here." Rando blinked in surprise, then a small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. He casually walked over to them, hands in his pockets. He then looked at the group of boys which he recognized to be the same group where they followed him whenever he tried to fight Yusuke and even showed a good friendship in the second episode. Indeed a nice group of delinquent boys. "I'm about to go to the coffee shop down the street, you guys also want? My treat."
Needlessly to say the group didn't refuse free drinks or food.
The coffee shop, nestled in a quiet corner of a bustling Tokyo neighborhood during the 90s, exuded a simple yet inviting charm. From the outside, it appeared unassuming, with a modest wooden sign hanging above the entrance, painted with the shop's name in elegant, hand-brushed kanji. The building itself was a small, two-story structure, its exterior walls clad in weathered wooden panels that hinted at the shop's decades-long history. A small window near the entrance offered a glimpse inside, with soft, warm light spilling out onto the narrow sidewalk.
Stepping inside, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the faint scent of tobacco greeted anyone who got inside. The interior was dimly lit, with the soft glow of paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling, casting a warm, amber hue over the space. The walls were adorned with framed black-and-white photographs of old Tokyo, giving the shop a nostalgic feel. Shelves lined with a mix of well-worn books, ceramics, and small potted plants added a touch of homeliness to the room.
The furniture was simple yet comfortable, with low wooden tables and chairs that had a slightly rustic, handmade quality. The tables were often slightly mismatched, each bearing the marks of years of use—scuffs, scratches, and the occasional coffee ring. The chairs were cushioned, with faded fabric covers in muted tones of brown, green, and beige, adding to the cozy, lived-in atmosphere. In one corner, a small counter held the shop's coffee machine, an older model that hissed and steamed as the barista prepared each order with care. A few waitresses gave a small and yet good service to the clients who wanted to enjoy a good coffee break in the neighborhood.
The floor was made of dark, polished wood, worn smooth by the countless footsteps of regular customers. Near the entrance, a small wooden bench provided a place for patrons to sit and remove their shoes, as was customary in many traditional establishments. Tatami mats covered a section of the floor near the back of the shop, where a few low tables and cushions offered a more traditional seating option.
The customers were a mix of locals and regulars, many of whom had been coming to the shop for years. In the mornings, you would often find salarymen in crisp suits, taking a quiet moment with their newspapers before heading off to work. During the afternoons, older men and women from the neighborhood would gather, sipping coffee or tea while chatting softly with one another. The atmosphere was always calm, with the gentle hum of conversation, the occasional clink of ceramic cups, and the soft strains of jazz or classical music playing in the background.
In the evenings, the shop would fill with a different crowd—young couples on dates, students with their textbooks spread out before them, and artists sketching quietly in their notebooks. The lighting would dim further, creating an even more intimate ambiance, with the soft glow of lanterns reflecting off the polished surfaces of the tables.
The coffee shop was a refuge from the fast-paced world outside, a place where time seemed to slow down, and the simple pleasures of a good cup of coffee, a dessert and quiet company were all that mattered.
And with that, Rando was on the table with a newspaper in his hands, while he was pouring sugar into his black coffee to enjoy a good caffeine after a long day of work. Which would have been more peaceful if wasn't for the fact that Kuwabara and the other boys weren't also drinking their milkshakes loudly. But, the white-haired boy couldn't blame the boys, teenagers and delinquents would enjoy everything to make them happy. Even as annoying and loud as the boys could be, Rando couldn't help but have a good smirk on his face, as he remembered how much he and Miguel were loud during their time as teenagers. It was so many good memories...
"Hey Rando, it's kinda strange to see you here now... "Then Kuwabara after drinking half of his milkshake decided to talk with the boy who just stopped reading his newspaper and folded it before grabbing his cup of coffee... "It had been a few days since I saw you, and then you were in the middle of the crowd doing arm-wrestling. Where have you been?"
Rando blinked, as he never realized that Kuwabara would have noticed his absence in Japan, as he was making his own investments into not worrying about money anymore. And that kind of work would always lead to confusion if you are not ready to know about the repercussions or the possibilities of what would have been security cameras... Thankfully for him, 4k videos didn't exist in the 90s, so anything could be used as a magic trick to fool everyone under their noses. But still, he needed to explain to the poor boy who had no idea where he was...
"Sorry I was in Dubai for a while, just came here yesterday." Rando simply commented and he then saw the group of boys staring at him in silence. "What?"
"You were in Dubai?" One of the boys asked in surprise, to which Kuwabara tilted his head.
"Where the hell is Dubai anyway?" Kuwabara asked which the group tried to find the answer but Rando rolled his eyes in amusement.
"The United Arab Emirates, a nice place, very desert, but they found oil recently, so give or take in 10 to 15 years they are going to be the richest country on there," Rando commented as he could see the look of confusion between the boys, and seeing that usually most of the kids would only know about the other countries because of Geograph classes on school, but he was dealing with delinquents who usually wouldn't have paid attention on it mostly.
"How did you get there?" One of the delinquents, the chubby one asked as he looked at the kid in confusion, which Rando simply shrugged.
"By airplane obviously," Rando partially lied, as he was dealing with humans, and from the past, most of them wouldn't believe how he was able to visit another country so fast. "A quick flight to Dubai for a very important business meeting. "
"Business meeting?" The other boys asked as they looked at the white-haired boy weirdly, making him deadpan...
"Yeah business meeting, how do you think I earn money? I work in a job like any other person." Rando commented as the boys looked at him in shock. "What?"
"But you are a child..." One of the boys commented that Kuwabara's sweat dropped, now thinking how the boy would react by being called like that, since most of the people who called him short, would become part of his target list... but surprisingly for him...
"HAHAHAHAHA..." Rando just laughed, as he seemed to be treating being called a child totally different from being called short, which thankfully Kuwabara could feel a good relief, as his friends still looked confused. "No no no... I'm actually an adult."
"What?" That was the answer that made the boys stare at Rando in shock. "How old are you?"
"Wow, guys, did you know that if you ask this question to a girl, she would beat the crap out of you if you ask that?" Rando commented as the boys looked surprised by the way he avoided the question, but chuckling Rando unfolded his newspaper and continued to read. "Sometimes you should be careful about asking such questions kids, trust me, learned from experience, a slap on the face and a kick on the balls."
That was enough to make the boys palled, and gulping their saliva in fear... In agreement between them that girls were indeed scary.
"THERE YOU ARE." Then a shout was loud enough to make the boys freeze, as slowly the group turned their faces, and saw someone they had never seen before, except for Rando and Kuwabara, which one seemed to be very surprised, while the other continued to read his journal. "Do you have any idea how long I have been trying to find you?"
"B-b- Bottan?" Kuwabara stuttered while the other boys blinked in surprise to see the new person. "Oh, I didn't know you were looking for me, I should have given my address to whatever you need."
"Try again Kuwabara, kids, Kuwabara must have told about Bottan, Bottan, Kuwabara's friends, Kuwabara's friends Bottan..." Rando commented, not in a sarcastic tone, and neither in arrogance. The orange-haired boy raised his eyebrow and glanced at the young man... Specially on how he casually presented Bottan in front of his friends who also gave a glance at him... "Say hello to Bottan boys..."
"Hello,"
"Nice to meet you,"
"Kuwabara was right you are pretty."
The boys gave slight comments and the last one suddenly got a slap on the head from the Kuwabara himself who slightly blushed annoyed.
And on that moment, Bottan who had been gritting her teeth, annoyed by looking the Yokai around, suddenly found herself being stared at by the others, and she forgot she was visible in front of Kuwabara and the others.
And like a swift of 180 degrees, she sheepishly smiled at the group.
"Oh hello, nice to meet you all," Bottan commented sheepishly as she saw Rando still reading the newspaper... And instead of getting angry this time, she needed to maintain her disguise, without compromising much the others. "Rando... It's nice to see you again, I was looking for you because I have very important news to talk to you..."
Kuwabara narrowed his eyes a little as he glanced at the person next to him, but suddenly he saw a piece of paper under his milkshake...
(Bottan is here because of some spiritual work, she is not your type.)
The paper was both a clarifying message, but somehow still annoying on how Rando can so casually talk about that.
Rando sighed as he folded his newspaper again.
"Well boys, it's sad that I'm going to leave for now, here, if you need to eat something or drink anything more, this maybe will cover everything. Just remember to leave a good tip for the waitress okay?" Rando got up and left which would make the boys have their eyes wide open. The white-haired boy just left 100 thousand yen. "I will be leaving. See yah..."
Rando quickly drank his coffee and then refreshed and ready for the day walked towards the door. Bottan seemed relieved but still annoyed by his cooperation.
Bottan gave space for him to walk outside of the coffee shop, as both passed and walked a few streets away, trying to blend around the public.
Since both were spiritual beings, they knew the importance of not destroying the ignorance of the mortals which would lead to chaos if they found out about the demons and Yokais.
"I'm very surprised that you seemed to be so cooperative today," Bottan commented as both seemed to be acting professionally over the circumstances... "To be honest, I thought you were about to disappear after not making it into Genkai's disciple,"
"Yusuke deserved it," Rando shrugged as he saw the look on Bottan's face on him. "While he is a very stubborn, ignorant, and even an idiot..."
"...and?" Bottan asked as she thought Rando was going to defend his friend but after the pause, he blinked.
"Wait... Do you want me to say his qualities? I thought you wanted to know why I wanted him to be tortured by Genkai." Rando then made such a comment which made Bottan palled. "Genkai is a very badass woman, someone who I respect deeply, and a person that I think I wouldn't be able to copy or steal her techniques... And that from a skilled thief is the best compliment to have."
"Don't you care about Yusuke?" Bottan couldn't help but look annoyed but also surprised by seeing Rando being different than the rumors.
"Oh I care about him, he is a great friend to have, someone that you know that if he cares about you, he would do everything to protect you. He has that air of charisma, that it doesn't matter what he does, you feel the desire to be his friend..." Rando commented as he then finally said what Bottan knew about Yusuke, she couldn't help but giggle.
"Isn't that true?"Bottan giggled as she had to confess that she never thought of meeting someone like Yusuke and even after everything, as annoying as he can be. He grows up on you..."Yusuke has a way with people..."
"That's because he is transparent... And speaks and acts on the way he feels, this kind of people is rare Bottan, it grows up on you..." Rando commented as he couldn't lie, Yusuke Urameshi would be one of the grandfathers of shonnen mangas, and while he created some cliches on the future, he with Goku from Dragon Ball, created the path of the shonnen for the future. And even their struggles."But still, he needed to be stronger, way stronger than he is now... Or he wouldn't survive much on the spiritual challenges."
"So that's why you decided to give up the fight on Yusuke?" Bottan asked as she could see the young Yokai looking so carefree as the duo got away from the public in one more private place.
"I can't confirm nor deny your statement, since at the moment Yusuke went Strike 3 I wanted to inflict the most pain possible," Rando commented as he looked sadistic, and even chuckled. "I got my ass kicked by Genkai in the past, so having that kind of service every day until his training was complete? I can imagine how much he had been cursing me since he was there."
And on that time, Bottan groaned as she knew that because of that she would also be getting called by Yusuke since she was sneezing all the time.
"Why did you have to involve me in this?" Bottan asked annoyed, since she knew Yusuke would be annoyed at the time he saw her.
"Well, you were the one who bribed him to go to the tournament of Martial Arts... Also thinking about it, I need to ask Kuwabara how was the tournament..." Rando commented as he saw Bottan taking her iconic oar to fly her whenever she wanted. "So what do you want to talk about?"
"I have specific orders from Mr. Koenma to bring you to him," Botan commented which made the white-haired yokai stare at the grim reaper with amusement. "As much I hate to say it, but come here. I need you to bring on the spiritual world to talk to him."
"Oh really?" Rando asked as he glanced at the Botan and shrugged, knowing what usually would come on the Boss' son of the heaven, since many things could be related. One of them was from the fact he let Yusuke win and become Genkai's disciple, the second issue probably would be the next arc approaching, and Koenma would need allies to help Yusuke on the case... Or the third theory. He wants to know what he has been up to.
Which probably knowing how this crazy world goes. It could also be all of them three. That's why Rando was prepared.
To say he was surprised to see the office is filled with paperwork, and a baby doing his best to stamp every formulary in quick speed being hilarious was quite the understatement. Since he saw the most iconic baby character in the world of animes, excluding Bell from Belzebub, Koenma always had his iconic blue tunic, an oval-shaped hat with Jr written under the hat, and an aqua-green pacifier.
Yep, it was exactly like how every single person in both anime and real life would react to seeing Koenma for the first time, seeing him like a kid, but forgetting the fact that he had been Yusuke's boss for years, and how he had the most important decisions related to the people of after-world, on the life after death.
Rando gave a slight glance at Botan who probably could guess what he was thinking since she had already seen Yusuke's reaction to seeing her boss for the first time.
"Shouldn't he be reading all the paperwork before stomping the approval? Paperwork is a nightmare when they aren't read." Rando commented as it surprised Botan and Koenma who paused into using his stamp... Rando in his past life could understand clearly on position where Koenma was... HE WATCHED NARUTO AND READ IT'S FANFICS FOR GOD'S SAKE, he knew that Hokages hated paperwork more than anything in the world, and from the fanfics he read, some paperwork was so complex that Hokages couldn't use Shadow Clones to help... A nightmare that made some fanfics have Naruto second guess his dream of becoming a Hokage.
Koenma paused but then coughed on his fist. Since it had been a while someone said such a question for the prince of the spiritual world. Since he usually would always have to overwork himself many times when it comes to working for his father.
"That's why I have the ogres around, their responsibility would be to read and reread as many times as to make sure the paperwork would just need my signature for approval of the documents," Koenma said as he gave a glance at the boy who seemed taler than him, but still both having a sparkle on their eyes, the recognized of an internal pact that neither of them would break, a mutual respect of them never talking about their height. "Those ogres need to work a lot to sustain their dental care and their food in their homes, and I gotta say, they eat a lot."
"Hmph... neat," Rando commented as Botan gave a slight glance at them two, not even knowing what to say as the duo watched Koenma resuming stamping on the paperwork. "Why so much paperwork anyway? Having problems in the spiritual world?"
"That's a personal matter, but mostly it's related to the expansion of the houses happening across a few states which happens once or twice a month," Koenma answered the question, which the grim reaper had no idea on what kind of conversation was... until Koenma finally was the one giving a question. "Why did you surrender the challenge, Rando? I know that you wanted to punish Yusuke to trigger you, and I'm also delighted for him to learn discipline from this opportunity, but from seeing you fighting against Kuwabara and your sadistic side, what you did with Yusuke was premeditated, but seeing you using both me and Botan as the scapegoat was a bonus for you."
"Well, Yusuke is a child who was bribed to be in the championship, and Botan revealed to being the one who suggested the prize for him as a bonus, and I discovered that someone had leaked about me appearing on the Genkai's trial to be her disciple, which for me either Yusuke or Kuwabara would have been a good choice for her," Rando commented as he could see the eyebrow raised from the prince of spiritual world in front of him. "Giving Genkai a headache as a student would also be my payment for her kicking my ass in the past. So it was also another bonus..."
"So you simply quit the idea of winning the chance of being her disciple just for petty revenge?" Koenma asked and he saw the yokai shrugging in front of him. "And you used us as a way to make sure to compensate him for going on a mission against his will?"
"Your words, not mine," Rando smirked, and then he saw Botan suddenly sneezing nearby, which made him glance at the girl in surprise.
"Sorry," Botan commented sheepishly and the white-haired boy just chuckled.
"Yusuke must be cursing your name right now." Rando continued to chuckle while he could see Botan pouting at him, so which made Koenma give another glance at the boy. "After spending a whole day with him, I can see that he knows how to hold a grudge..."
"You speak by experience," Koenma commented as he then could see the boy in front of him smiling mysteriously. Knowing the yokai in front of him seemed to be knowing way more secrets than he could guess... since he lived around between the living world for so long, between the Makai and the world of the living... "What happened to you?"
That was a question that Rando already expected someone to ask, so in response, he raised his head as a way for him to elaborate further on the question, which the prince of the spiritual world complied with.
"For a Yokai who had passed on the time of Genkai at her young age, you must have traveled across the world, killing all the masters and stealing their techniques you could find," Koenma went straight to the point, which Rando didn't seem phased from what just happened. "A completely sadistic who should have been captured at the times you stomped your foot on this realm..."
"Oh don't talk BS to me," Rando commented which immediately made both Rando and Botan blink and raise their eyebrows in confusion. "I repeat, don't talk bullshit to me, your only employee who was being responsible for dealing with Yokais in the human world is Yusuke, and he is now having the torture of his life by Genkai as she is giving him the best, and the most painful training she could give to him, and that would take days if not weeks for him to get stronger to deal with some yokai around... I could have killed in case I wanted to do that, but I didn't because he is a friend of mine, and I did it as a favor for..."
At that moment, Rando noticed that he started monologing too much again, and he immediately shut his mouth, but this time both Koenma and Botan noticed that he hesitated to say something.
"A favor for who?" And then Botan decided to ask the obvious question which the white-haired boy remained in silence, but the duo could see the sharp anger in his eyes.
"If you think I'm going to give that information for free, you are deeply mistaken," Rando replied as Koenma sat on his chair, as he then had an amused look on his face. "This information is too much important, that it shouldn't be said into simple walls that could be heard by anyone outside."
"That's ridiculous..." Koenma scoffed as it was his time to be polite and call the mistake the young Yokai had made. "These walls are very secure, and never happened a leak of information or never happened to have an eavesdropping over this castle."
"yeah tell him Mr. Koenma..." Then a muffled voice coming from outside of the door behind them, made Koenma immediately freeze, Botan fell on the floor, and Rando deadpan at the baby prince of the spiritual world. Then when the group looked outside there was a blue ogre wearing tongs, which made Rando slowly turn his head to Koenma who blushed sheepishly.
"JORGE SAOTOME" Koenma shouted furious as the blue ogre quickly realized his mistake and ran away when the baby threw a few objects on the door... And as the sound of steps running away, the young prince now felt humiliated in front of the yokai who seemed to have created such a good point. "I understand your point."
"Of course you do," Rando commented as he pinched between his nose, and then glanced at Botan who was staring at him. "I'm not going to reveal this secret here, because this secret alone should never be heard by someone else other than Yusuke, and he shouldn't know about this secret from me."
"Why?" Botan asked curiously as she now felt something related to her friend Yusuke being a very important secret, in such a way that Rando himself couldn't even share because of how serious it was. She knew that it must have been something that he wouldn't trust anyone else to tell.
"..." Rando remained in silence, but looking around and knowing that he shouldn't trust in places like that, he couldn't help but stare around everything, and thankfully for him, there was a piece of paper and a pencil for him to use. "Okay, I'm going to write it down, but the information I'm about to give you too is very expensive, as such that I want some compensation for it."
"Oh come on Rando? Don't you see that we are starting to get worried about Yusuke?" Botan asked annoyed, as the prince of the spiritual world was also feeling something suspicious about the possible information the yokai was going to give him.
"Okay, what would be your price then...?" Koenma knew that it would be something very expensive that it would be so annoying for him to explain to his father, that in case it would lead him to get a few spankings or possibly a grounding time, what would a yokai want for trading such secrets of his employee?
"I want a human identity..." Rando then just said the word, which immediately made the entire bedroom cold, and in silence, as it had been something that Botan herself palled into hearing it.
"A yokai asking for a human identity," Koenma's sweat dropped at hearing such a thing...
Rando doesn't doubt it, since probably a Yokai getting a human identity must be a taboo among both worlds and something that Kurama had when he got the body of a baby Shuichi Minamino, the fox Yokai had the whole package of having a mother creating an identity for him, having a school historic, birth certification and etc.
"I could try to do it illegally around the cities, but wouldn't be enough... to make one hundred percent legit, it would be identified that I was born on there," Rando explained which made Botan and Koenma look at the yokai on how well he knew the system. And the reason why Rando had been doing that was obvious, which both Botan and Koenma couldn't help but pale into just imagining one thing...
"You want to live in the world of the living," Botan asked as she was shocked to see a yokai preferring to live with such a drastic desire to live in the human world, instead of makai, there was a reason why King Yemma decided to put a barrier around some devil cities and the makai to protect the humans from the strong yokai who would break the balance.
"Yep, I have to confess the city where Yusuke and Kuwabara live sounds very interesting, so I was thinking of finding a good place for me to live, buy a house, work a job, the whole package..." Rando commented as he took a blank paper on the table and a pencil, and looking at Koenma, he knew that such information would be priceless to give at the right time. "Such paper must be read once and then destroyed, eat it if you must, and most importantly, nobody else can know about this information, so don't shout what you are going to read, and can only tell Yusuke when you think it's the right time to say to him, since he will ask questions, and I'm not going to be the one giving to him... you or Botan must be the one telling him."
"From a sadistic Yokai who was stealing techniques and killing humans and demons nonstop, to suddenly want to live in the human world and try to have a normal life?" Koenma raised his eyebrows as he couldn't comprehend the absurd he was hearing, many questions appeared on his mind, "What possibly made you do that?"
Rando froze, as he looked across the room in silence, and then thought about a serious question. What could possibly make a yokai, even if was the worst and strongest yokai change? What could possibly make a person so sadistic and petty as to destroy the lives of other humans stop creating chaos to protect his brother, and be more focused on what would be the joys of a life?
An image of a brunette woman who was wearing glasses came to his mind, a girl who always worked hard, and even enjoying to overwork herself, she also enjoyed the little breaks of life as passing her afternoons drinking tea and watching anime... A girl who found him, a man who was going nuclear into a company for making fun of his work, and helped him to cope more positively...
Helena...
"Rando?" Then a familiar voice made the young yokai snap from his thoughts, and staring at Botan, she looked very hesitant and worried. "You are crying for a moment."
"Oh really?" Rando asked as he touched the corner of his eyes clearly showing that it was indeed his tears, which made him compose himself. "I guess I'm still in the mourning process... being a widow sucks."
Botan just realized the meaning of his words, especially from the last sentence, which was enough to show another picture of him. Koenma also realized the meaning of his words, he knew what possibly was said.
"I'm sorry for your loss," Koenma commented as the prince of the spiritual world, it was clear that everyone who lost their loved ones always had a different kind of changes in their lives, somewhere for the worse, but some luckily were for the better. "Do y..."
"No... It had been a long time, and I don't think she will even recognize me..." Rando interrupted as he didn't want to tell Koenma about the fact he didn't come from a different world, and if he tried to find information about his deceased wife, he was afraid that it would be a dead end, of their worlds being so different, that they would never meet each other again. And Rando was fine with that... or that was he believed it.
"That's very mature of you," Koenma commented as Botan had her head looking down in sadness, even as she was the grim reaper and the people who would guide the others for the afterlife, there were still people mourning from their deceased, and loved ones. "Love indeed can change a person."
"Hehe... Tell that of the Devoted Husband King," Rando gave a comment which made Koenma and Botan once again surprised from such a comment. "We indeed changed because of our wives...and from a widow to another, he is the one I have most fear and respect at the same time."
"What are you talking about?" Koenma asked as he then saw Rando leaving the paper and already with tiredness in his eyes.
"I already paid my part of the deal, I will be waiting for the confirmation of your part of the deal..." Rando didn't show his mysterious smile, neither of his snarky attitude, but the somber look on his face, clearly showed how much that last topic really affected him. "Botan you should also read it, and make sure to destroy the paper. I'm going to be out here."
"Rando, wait, I can take you..." Botan tried to follow the white-haired boy, but she saw the yokai taking his iconic book, and by opening one page, he simply touched the floor, which created a dark portal hole, which swallowed him as a whole... And when it finished, the portal closed, leaving a very unsure grim reaper, and a more thoughtful baby boss... "I think we overstepped his trust."
"You may be right Botan, however, he is still mourning, and a process like that requires time, we don't know how long it was, days, months, years, decades... When a person you love dies, it still sticks inside of you, no matter how long you try to hide," The prince of the spiritual world knew the words could be harsh, but valuable information could change everything they were waiting for, and that information alone could be very important for Yu... Slowly Koenma who started to read the paper had his eyes wide open and his pacifier was dropped from his mouth. "HE IS WHAT?!"
"Mr. Koenma?" Botan asked as Koenma himself fell from the table as had been information so shocking that clearly made the bluenette girl curious about what would have been something which made her boss very scared and shocked. Slowly Botan read a few sentences, and then her entire face was pulled from the revelation on the paper...
(Raizen Urameshi, patriarch of the clan Urameshi, the Devoted Husband King. One of the 3 Kings of Makai and Yusuke's ancestral father...)
"Ah ah..." Botan commented as she felt her face palled, and seeing that message alone was both crazy and terrifying. And then noticing how the information was very dangerous, she glanced around just to see the group of ogres opening the door.
"Mr. Koenma are you okay?" One of the green ogres commented in worry as the group approached. Immediately Botan placed the paper in her mouth and did her best to swallow it. "What are you doing?"
The terrible taste of paper was never a good thing for Botan to eat, but from eating the truth, something that nobody should even tell as a joke, it must be true, because nobody would be crazy to risk telling information like that if not wanting nobody else to know.
That secret alone is very dangerous in the wrong hands, and she had way more questions than answers... That paper alone somehow feels that it would answer way more questions in case Yusuke would need it in the future. Rando indeed must have known such a secret and wanted to help Yusuke since the start, by becoming his friend.
But that information of one of the three kings being the patriarch of the whole clan Urameshi, made her look at her friend with a thought that she never thought of before. A possible slight chance of Yusuke being a part demon...
"And here I thought I would have a great day today," Rando mumbled as he got outside of the portal, and having taking a shower and changing clothes, didn't help him from the good day he was having, he raised a lot of good money, but there were questions that shouldn't have been asked that early, he could understand that someday Koenma and Botan would reveal the truth to Yusuke, however, just for asking more about it, clearly raised the memories of a person that he knew that it would have been such a pain to remember. "I mourned for so long, that I thought this departure wouldn't have affected me... clearly I was wrong."
Rando decided to give some thought as he walked around the city... walking down the street, passing on where it was nearby downtown, there was a salon. It was a charming, albeit modest, establishment situated on a bustling street corner in a suburban neighborhood. The building itself was a small, one-story structure with a white stucco facade, softened by the gentle wear and tear of time. The large front windows, framed by pastel-colored trim, usually in soft pinks or mint greens, offered a clear view into the heart of the salon, showcasing rows of styling chairs and large mirrors.
Above the entrance, a retro-style sign displayed the salon's name in an elegant, swirling script, often accompanied by a simple image of a pair of scissors or a comb. The sign was slightly faded from years of exposure to the sun, yet it retained a certain nostalgic charm, evoking memories of a simpler time.
The entrance was flanked by a pair of large, potted plants, their leaves neatly trimmed and vibrant, adding a touch of greenery to the otherwise urban setting. The glass door, adorned with a small decal listing the salon's hours, was kept spotless, allowing passersby to peek inside at the bustling activity within. The door handle was polished brass, well-worn from years of use.
Outside, the sidewalk was always neatly swept, and a small bench sat just to the side of the entrance, offering a place for waiting customers or passersby to rest. Occasionally, a chalkboard sign would be set up near the entrance, advertising special offers or promoting new beauty products, written in a casual, friendly hand.
Rando simply ignored, feeling the stress from his encounter around the Koenma's office, as much he wanted to not try to think about it. It was still a hard pill to swallow, the truth that still came hard at the moment he went into this world.
Rando had denied any chance of encountering the soul of the person who was waiting to find his wife in the afterlife and any chance to see his little brother in the future...
It's a painful truth that it took a while to realize... He was alone, without his wife, and without the only member of his family.
"Miguel..." Rando commented as he just felt so stressed and tired, that surprisingly he saw a pack of cigars on the handrail nearby him. And looking there was nobody nearby, the young yokai decided to take one cigarette and leave the pack in the same place it was.
Staying near the wall, Rando held in hands something that he didn't think that he would have for so long.
"Sorry Miguel, but in times like this I need this," Rando whispered as he took from the back of his pocket a lighter he had stolen from one of the people he picked pocket, and by lighting it, the white-haired person slowly gave a drag on the cigar on his mouth. "Years of avoiding using it again, just after my own death to make me start using it again."
Rando would be lying if he confessed that he didn't miss nicotine, since he used to always be smoking whenever he was stressed to the point of exhaustion. When his mind couldn't handle so much thought that he would be needing a pack of cigars.
Rando could have used the whole pack on the handrail, but he preferred to not do it.
Only one cigarette would be enough for him, as he slowly was taking a smoke. And appreciate the view around the street.
Not realizing there was a person who was in the beauty salon just left a standing tall and slim girl, who had long brown hair, brown eyes, and a fair complexion, wearing a white, long-sleeved button-down shirt; a long, red tie; a light brown, short-sleeved vest; and long, dark green slacks.
And at the time she was about to take one of her cigars, she just found out there was one missing, which made her narrow her eyes, as she saw a boy who seemed to be younger than her dragging one so casually.
Rando slowly appreciated seeing the neighborhood simply walking and living their respective lives, the people having places to go, and things to do, it was something ordinary that would help him to ease the thoughts in his head.
"Hey," Then a voice was enough to make him snap from his thoughts and see someone approaching him, and from his eyes slowly blinking and rising wide open in surprise, he couldn't believe the chances of seeing another character from the said anime plot. "Did you take a cigar from my pack?"
And on that second, Rando gave a slight glance at the remaining cigar as he was about to throw it away.
"Yeah, sorry for the inconvenience, I kinda needed it," Rando admitted as he could see the girl narrowing her eyes at him, but he didn't mind at all. "Here, maybe this will cover up for the next pack."
The mature girl raised her eyebrow as she saw Rando taking from his pocket a few yen notes which seemed to be far more than the boy should be holding. She just imagined a child almost the same age or younger than her younger brother, and God forbids if her ever catches her baby brother smoking one day.
"Aren't you a bit too short to be smoking?" The girl commented as she could see the boy in front of her, holding the notes, but then she could see from his eyes, that comment was uncalled for. How? From saw the person closing his fist so tight that immediately made the paper tear apart. And from that moment, the silence remained, until Rando decided to throw away the remaining parts of the money on the floor, as he saw the pieces being carried away from the wind.
Rando placed his back on the wall and decided to remain in silence, not wanting to even answer the girl who just seemed with her eyebrow raised in amusement. But in the next second, Rando glanced nearby, a hand holding a pack of cigarettes, and stared at the girl who seemed to know the person who also wanted to take a drag of smoke.
"Shitty day?" The girl commented as Rando took one of the cigarettes, and both not knowingly placed on their mouths at the same time, and in synchrony, both took their lighters to light their cigars.
"You could say shitty afternoon," Rando commented as he managed to light his own, but then noticed the girl nearby him was still trying to light her own, but it seems her lighter was out of gas. So at the time she was going to be frustrated, Rando raised his lighter with the fire already on, which the girl looked at him, but immediately accepted his help and lighted her cigar with it. And since both of them were taking a cigar break, both took a good drag before releasing the smoke from their lungs and with good relief of nicotine on their bodies. The white-haired boy looked at the girl, and she did the same. With both of them in silence, until one of them decided to say something. "Rando by the way."
"Shizuru," The girl commented, as both felt the good need to enjoy a good break, and with a good cigar in their mouths, and a company to talk, it would be a good way to enjoy a break from the day they were having. "Sorry about calling short."
"It's fine, you aren't the first one, and probably aren't going to be the last. Just please don't do it again, I hate people saying things about my height." Rando commented that both were enjoying seeing the people walking as they had good relief from nicotine on their bodies. "I'm trying to control my temper, but people tend to push their luck near me."
"Huh? Do tell," Shizuru commented as both were finishing their cigars, seemingly enjoying a conversation, and possibly of what the future holds for them after that day.
