Just A Quick And Short Chapter I Decided To Make That's Based Off The First Episode Of Sonic X
*Station Square, Night Time*
"*Looking Down At The City Of Station Square* I always forget how bright Station Square can be at night. It always relaxes my mind each time I stare at the scenery of this place. Maybe I should come here more often during the night. Heck, maybe I should bring you guys here more often if that's what you guys are interested in!" Sonic said
"Yeah, yeah, I get it. Are you done with your narration, Rodent? We've been standing on top of this building for five minutes now. I'm getting bored just standing around and not doing anything!" Saber Alter exclaimed
"Sorry, Alter, I just lose track whenever I focus on something that interests me. In this case, this whole view of Station Square during the night! It reminds me of Shinjuku now that I'm thinking about it. Minus the gangs, robots, and beasts roaming around the city and whatnot." Sonic replies.
"I will say that this place does feel more alive and colorful, with no sense of Magical Energy roaming around or any of that Bullshit Magecraft. A place unlike any other." Saber Alter commented
"This world doesn't need any of that stuff to function. Everything is perfect, just how it is, and that's how I like it!" Sonic said
"I see. Understandable. It's your decision; I don't have the willpower to tell you how to live to not. I'm just an ordinary Servant summoned by a talking rodent from a different world. *Looking Down At Streets Of Station Square* So what do you plan for the two of us to be doing here in such a place right now." Saber Alter asks
"I don't have anything planned right now. It's been a while since we hung around, so I decided to take the opportunity to make our way here and spend a night here. Catch up with the times we lost not spending time together. But I didn't plan anything out, though..." Sonic replies
"You're a mysterious one, Rodent. Though I don't care about "Spending time" with others, I'll deal with it this time... That and since you're my Master. Besides, I heard from the other Servants that this place sells the best Burgers. Now we know the first thing we'll do here." Saber Alter stated
"I thought you'll say that, don't worry. I know a couple of restaurants serving the best Burgers in Station Square. But try not to cause a scene if the Burger doesn't meet your expectations." Sonic said
"*Thinking For A Moment* Don't put too much trust into that."
"Right... Anyway, I haven't seen you this active before; what's up with the sudden chance?" Sonic asks
"*Speechless*" Saber Alter replies
"Alter?"
"Let's just get a move on. We have a business to attend to. *Begins To Walk Away*" Saber Alter said
"Hehe~ Typical Alter talk as always. *Follows Her Soon After*."
*Later, At A Park*
"*Sitting On A Park Bench Eating Three Hamburgers* Mmmmm..."
"*Sitting Next To Alter, Eating A Chilli Dog* So, Alter? What do you think about this world's Hamburgers? Do they make your tongue dance for the taste?" Sonic questions
"*Mouth Full* It's managble. For once, humans have created something that doesn't dissatisfy someone like me." Saber Alter replies
"Heh~ I knew you'll enjoy the Hamburgers as well. I'm sure the other variants of you would also enjoy this if they were here with us." Sonic commented
"You can deal with them some other time. It's just the two of us here for now. *Swallows Her Burger* Now, since it's just the two of us here in a deserted park. I want to ask you something that has been bothering me for some time now." Saber Alter said
"And that is...?"
"How in the hell someone like you can claim the title of King Arthur despite being a talking blue Rodent!" Saber Alter exclaimed
"*Smirks* I already told all of you guys before. Taking up the name of King Arthur never once came into my mind before I was transported to Camelot all that time ago. Even after saving Camelot from everything, I still wasn't interested in ruling a Kingdom and decided to step away from all that Royalty talk and what else. I know it's still hard to believe that I was King Arthur at one point; it wasn't for very long that I held that name before I gave up on it." Sonic explains
"Even so, no one could expect a talking animal to be ruling a Kingdom!" Saber Alter said
"Reality is often stranger than fiction, Alter. We don't know what life might throw at us at any point in time. The same could be said with me being a Master that I had no idea something like that would happen to me. But unlike King Arthur, I enjoy being a Master and meeting all sorts of Servants within the Throne Of Heroes!" Sonic commented
"Sometimes, I'm not sure if you're taking these things seriously or not. But who the hell am I to be talking about that? I'm talking to a literal blue-talking rodent, for god sake!" Saber Alter exclaimed
"Hehe~ Don't think about it too much; alter, and everything will be okay," Sonic commented.
"Easy for you to say. *Continues To Eat Her Hamburger* Moving away from this nonsense, how do you handle caring for countless Contracted Servants. Did you expect to work 24/7 watching us when you became a Master?" Saber Alter asks
"I don't mind if I have to watch over countless Servants and new ones joining us as well. The more we have, the better it is for everyone and to increase our team strength. Egghead thought transporting me to a different world would be a way to get rid of me. But all he did was for me to gather new friends capable of taking down his army if he decided to throw an army at us! That includes you as well, Alter. So, I must thank Buttnick for the favor; I wouldn't be in this scenario right now if it weren't for him." Sonic replies
"I'll never understand the absurd amount of weird adventures you had to endure before, Rodent. But I'll like to partake in one of your adventures one day. Experience the crazy shit you throw daily. Don't forget about that." Saber Alter said
"Note taken, Alter. I'll love to bring you on one of my adventures in the future! Hey, I can bring Jeanne Alter as well if you like." Sonic said
"Bring anyone but that Bitch with you. I would rather deal with my sister than be around that farm girl any day." Saber Alter stated
"Man, you two need to get over that little tension between you. Maybe we should talk about it soon..." Sonic said
"Don't even think of doing such a thing! We may have worked together before, but that was because we were forced to work together to get out of Shinjuku! And that's final!" Saber Alter exclaimed
"I'll think of something sooner or later."
"*Rolls Eyes As She Continues To Eat Her Burger* It's good I brought Cuirassier Noir with us. I don't mind using it to drive around the city, and by that, I mean the two of us will be racing one another to determine the fastest." Saber Alter stated
"Asking for a race, huh? Heh~ You just made the biggest mistake in your life, Alter! Challenging me on my home turf? You're on!" Sonic excited
"*Finishes Her Burgers* Don't get too cocky now, Rodent. With the training I endured for a while, I won't be going easy on you this time. So don't get all angry right after I kick your ass in your own game." Saber said
"We'll see about that!" Sonic replies
*Several Minutes Later*
"*Driving Cuirassier Noir Through The Streets Of Station Square In High Speeds, Dodging Several Cars In Front Of Her* You underestimated me, Rodent. Today is when you fall to your kneel for me." Saber Alter stated
"*Running Beside Her In High Speeds* Sorry, I don't plan to do that soon! I will never kneel to anyone, even if it means I lose. But I won't let that happen! *Jumps Over A Car And Continues Keeping Up In Saber Alter's Pace* Hehe!" Sonic said
"If that's what you believe, then be my guest. But you aren't ready for this! *Revs Up As She Drives Much Faster Now, Leaving Sonic Behind Every Second*"
"I see you got a little upgrade for that vehicle of yours. But that makes things more exciting around here! *Increases His Speed And Slowly Begins Tailing Behind Saber Alter*."
Sonic and Saber Alter continue to race one another throughout the streets of Station Square, dodging several cars on the road and tailing one another as their speed gradually increases. While racing against one another, sirens begin to blare behind them as a few cop cars appear and chase them soon after. Sonic and Saber Alter look at each other as they drive at high speeds while attempting to outrun the police behind them.
"Hmph. And here I thought things were much more peaceful around here." Saber Alter stated
"Sorry for misinterpreting that, but laws still exist for everyone living in Station Square. I get caught up in the act once in a while. But we can talk about that later; right now, we must get these guys off our tails before we're placed inside a jail cell for how long!" Sonic exclaimed
"*Summons Her Sword* Allow me to take care of them for us, Master! *Aims Her Sword Behind And Begins To Charge Up, But Sonic Stops Her Before Doing So*"
"There are better ways to solve this without causing damage or killing anyone! *Looks Up To See A Police Helicopter Flying Above Them And Chasing Them* It Reminds me of when I first arrived here and was chased by these guys! Follow me, Alter! I know a plan! *Suddenly Takes A Sharp Right And Runs Much Faster Now*."
Saber Alter takes a sharp right turn soon after, with the police still behind them and chasing the two down. For a few minutes, both Sonic and Saber Alter took sharp after sharp turns to outrun the police. Not only taking sharp turns but taking small shortcuts into tight alleyways, forcing the police cars to stop and lose sight of both of them, but a couple more continue to chase after them. Eventually, the two make their way into a deserted highway as a couple of police cars and the police Helicopter continue to chase them down.
"*Continues Running* Heh~ Funny enough, this is where I was being chased by these guys when I first arrived here. Talk about a coincidence. Also, a little warning that this road has an end to it as well." Sonic commented
"This isn't the first time you were a criminal trying to outrun the police? I never thought someone like you could do something like that. *Slightly Nods* Now that's something I can get around with." Saber Alter said
"I don't think I can take that as a compliment... But moving on, we have company right in front of us!" Sonic exclaimed
Saber Alter notices a police roadblock in front of her, and Sonic aims her sword in front of her, charging it up once more as the sword engulfs itself in dark energy. The police officers, on the sight of the road, notice Sonic and Saber Alter coming fast but soon realize Saber Alter is charging up her sword and firing a powerful beam of dark energy toward the roadblock and at the police officer. The police officers quickly jump out of the way as the beam destroys several police vehicles, knocking them out as Alter and Sonic soon zoom by, pass the roadblock, and continue running through the highway at high speeds.
"We could've just jumped over them..." Sonic commented
"Can't always have things your way, Rodent. Now, how much longer until we reach this road's dead-end?" Saber Alter questions
"Based on the speed that we're currently going right now. I say in about 3 minutes, will reach the end." Sonic replies
"I must say, for once, I'm enjoying this with you, Rodent. You're one hell of a Master regarding all sorts of weird and chaotic adventures you've endured. Maybe we should do something like this more often." Saber Alter said
"*Looks Behind To See More Police Cars Chasing Them Very Fast* I think the term "Having fun" differs between us. But as long as you're enjoying yourself. Then that matters most importantly here." Sonic replies
The two continue running and driving through the highway while being chased down by the police behind them until they reach the highway's dead-end, seeing it appear in their view.
"Are you ready, Master?" Saber Alter said
"Let's just get this over with!"
Several seconds later, the two increased their speed as they jumped off the highway and into the sky—the two behind gliding over Station Square.
"*Looking Down At The City* So, how does it look from above?" Sonic asks
"It's alright, I guess. Better than Shinjuku if I do say myself." Saber Alter replies
"Glad to hear that from you, Alter. Maybe we do this more often if you like. Something that doesn't involve us having to run from the police here. I may have to stay in Chaldea for a while to keep a low profile from those guys." Sonic stated
"Heh~ That's something a criminal would say." Saber Alter commented
"I told you I'm not a criminal! And I never will be one!" Sonic shouted
"Doubt that. Now, where do we land...?" Saber Alter asks
"*Looks Down To See A Pool Down Underneath Him* Not again..."
Suddenly, Sonic begins to fall straight down to the pool underneath him, panicking. Saber Alter quickly jumps out of her bike and dives down to catch Sonic, hugging him tightly as the two fall straight to the pool.
"Hang on tight, Master! This will hurt a lot!" Saber Alter shouted
"YOU AREN'T HELPING AT ALL IN THIS CASE!" Sonic shouted
The two were just about to land in the pool and make a huge splash until the two and the bike suddenly transported and disappeared In thin air unexpectedly.
*Chaldea*
"*Teleports Back To Chaldea While Hugging Sonic Tightly* Oh, looks like we returned to Chaldea after that fall. Good thing we did; I would've hated returning here all soaking wet. *Sees Herself Hugging Sonic And Quickly Unhugs Him As He Falls*."
"*Hits The Ground* Oof! What was that for?! You could've at least put me down just now!" Sonic exclaimed
"You'll live."
"There you are, Sonic! Where the hell have you and Alter been?! You've been gone for several hours now!" Olga exclaimed
"Sorry, bud. Myself and Alter kind of lost track of the time being there in my home. Guess we had much more fun than we realized, really..." Sonic replies
"I wouldn't say fun about what happened just now." Saber Alter commented
"*Sighs* I wouldn't be surprised if this fun you mention has to involve being chased by police or anything of that sort." Olga said
"You knew?"
"Knew what?"
"*Thinking* Actually, forget what I just said right now. Since we're back here, we might as well take a quick nap after a long day! See you later, you two! *Dashes Out Of The Command Room*" Sonic said
"*Looks At Saber Alter* You two were chased by police, weren't you?" Olga commented
"*Nods*"
"Thought so."
