Chapter 19: The Power of Colors Pt 1
Within Naugus's private room within his hidden HQ, he gets a call via hologram from Breezie who is not pleased with it at all. "Old wizard, my ships were destroyed. Do you know how much that cost?" Breezie asked as Naugus was amused by this.
"That sounds like a 'you' problem," Naugus said not caring about her concerns.
"Now Team Dark is looking into my business dealings. Shark finning is illegal in the United Federation borders but now Meropis share this when they join up recently. I need to lawyer up before it bites me in the bud," Breezie said.
"Do what you must. I have to push forward and find my prize," Naugus said.
"Speaking of that, those ruins in Downunda were destroyed by one of Mina's black holes via Color Powers," Breezie said as Naugus was bothered by this.
"That girl can summon a black hole?" Naugus asked.
"Yes via using the Wisp through that arm cannon of hers. That little fox has outdone himself; the power of the Wisps is pretty amazing. Eggman wanted to control that power which gave him amazing results but he failed due to Sonic's heroics once again," Breezie said.
"Like those little aliens wouldn't be an issue for me," Naugus said as Breezie laughed at this.
"You have no idea do you, Eggman can see from his reading. Hyper Go On energy which those little buggers make on par with Chao Energy in terms of raw power. Also, that same energy managed to destroy your dark magical towers which are unbreakable to everything else. This girl Mina is becoming big as a threat as Sonic himself," Breezie said.
Naugus remembers Mina from his world as she was an annoying pop star which the people adored. He did use her in one of his plots to take over the Kingdom of Acorn but his version of Sonic defeated him forcing him to go into this version of Mobius.
"Mina Mongoose, she was a simple girl I used my magic to twist her song into a weapon to give me an edge. Now she is becoming a problem on par with the Quickster himself," Naugus said as he looked at a screen to see a news report about both Sonic and Mina stopping a group of Swat-bots attacking a little town near the Dragon Kingdom.
"She has been Sonic's number-one woman for years now. Always by his side, two speedy brats are more than one can handle," Breezie said.
"Two Quicksters, how wonderful," Naugus said dryly as he also tried to look for the Chaos Emeralds. "Changing subject, where are the current four Chaos Emeralds located?" he asked.
"Oh okay. One of them is held by Snively and his new wife Regina aka the Iron Queen. They both rule the recently made Dragon Empire formerly the Dragon Kingdom. He is looking to surpass his uncle in craving out his empire," Breezie said.
"I hate that little rat," Naugus said as he remembered his world's Snively and he found him very annoying.
"Yes, no class whatsoever. The fifth emerald is with Dr. Starline who has a base in Downunda," Breezie said.
"Who is that?" Naugus asked as there was no version of Dr. Starline from his Mobius.
"Well, he was one of Eggman's assistants along with Snively. Those two had a bit of a rivalry to see who was the best in science dick-measuring contests but after Eggman's multiple failures to Sonic. They both went their separate ways to forge their empires. Dr. Starline is making moves like creating his minions with special abilities," Breezie said.
"This needs to be noted," Naugus said.
"Yes, the other two I don't know. They are not located at the moment," Breezie said.
"Well, I will cast a spell which will seek out the energy from the emeralds. We have two of our own and it's only a matter of time until I can get all of them," Naugus said as he continued to push his plans.
Elsewhere Mina is doing a concert in Okina City with Sonic, Tails, Cosmo, and Nicole along with Isabella and Melody are backstage watching her from the guest room. "Mina is on fire today," Nicole said.
"Yep, that's my girl," Sonic said proud of her as he was drinking some strawberry tea.
"Indeed, her music is very relaxing. She has a beautiful voice," Cosmo said as she was in awe at Mina showing her singing voice to thousands of fans on stage.
"Mina always had an amazing voice and thankfully she is using it to help the world heal from these painful times," Isabella said as she was eating some biscuits with Melody and checking out Tails.
"Hey Tails," Melody said as she developed a crush on Tails for the past few years but she kept it in check since Tails was dating another girl who to Melody is a weird alien plant woman who towers over all of them even Sonic by 2-inch difference.
"Oh, hey there Melody. You are looking nice today," Tails said being friendly to see Mina's teenage sister dressed up in a purple dress.
"Thank you, your goggles look cool," Melody said as Tails adjusted his pilot goggles.
"Thanks, Cosmo gave them to me as a gift," Tails said as he kissed her on the cheek.
"It's all for you Tails. It makes you so dashing like a proper pilot should," Cosmo said as she was sporting a white sundress showing off her beautiful figure which Tails couldn't keep his eyes off.
Melody looks defeated as Isabella notices this. "Her music is lifting everyone's spirits since there are muses of attacks by the Dragon Kingdom to the far north on the outskirts," Isabella said as the others looked at her.
"Oh yeah, I heard about that. Snively is making his moves into the villages and towns to steal Mobians to become twisted experiments," Tails said.
"That sounds horrible," Cosmo said feeling saddened by this.
"Yes Gun is trying their best to hold them back and seek out his main base but it's deep within the Dragon's Kingdom's borders It would need to undergo a full assault but the nation is huge and covered in mountains. It will be difficult to root them out," Isabella said.
"As well as the Iron Queen's Magitek which is a form of magic allowing her to control machines with her mind," Nicole said as she felt unnerved by the thought of someone like her controlling her systems.
"We might need to deal with them sooner than later," Sonic said as the concert stopped with everyone cheering as everyone in the guest room clapped for her performance as well.
"Thank you, everyone. I hope you enjoy my songs and I will see you next time," Mina said as she went backstage with her heart still pumping from all the excitement. "That was wonderful. Let's see Honey top that one," Mina felt excited as she headed back into the guest room to see her friends, family, and boyfriend waiting for her.
"That was awesome big sis," Melody said.
"Yes, wonderful as always. My dear," Isabella said.
"You were way past cool Mina as always," Sonic commented.
"You were pretty cool out there," Tails said.
"That was amazing," Cosmo said.
"Yes, very impressive," Nicole said as Mina felt humbled by their praise.
"Thanks, everyone, I put my heart into this after what happened a few days ago," Mina said fixing up her stage outfit to sit between Sonic and her mother.
"Yes, it shows in your performance. Very passionate," Isabella said as Mina could see a bunch of food on display including a ton of local dishes here.
"Oh mama, you got all your dishes from your restaurant here?" she asked.
"Yes, I did. I wanted to give your feast to honor your great performance to share with your friends and family," Isabella said.
"Thank you, Mama," she said as Mina hugged her mother.
"You're welcome, sweetheart. Let's enjoy this food for your success," Isabella said.
"Of course," Mina said as they enjoyed their time while eating Isabella's food. Mina gets into her dressing room to take off her stage outfit to slip into a white top and blue shorts fitting her body. She heads back into the guest room to see Sonic and Tails talking among themselves.
"Mina, that was quite the performance. It's very exciting and full of energy," Cosmo said as Mina took a cup of blueberry tea to stand beside the alien woman.
"Thanks, I always give it my all on the stage," Mina said.
"Were you always like that?" she asked as Mina looked down at her glass.
"No, I was pretty shy back in the day but I had a passion for music. I just needed a push and Sonic gave me the push to get to my dream," Mina said.
"I see, Sonic seems to have that effect on people," Cosmo said.
"Yes he does, he brings out the best in people. He did that for Tails and did it for me too. His warmth and compassion got me to fall in love with him and soon enough we became a couple," Mina said.
"Oh yes. It's the same for me and Tails. I was lost and alone but with his compassion and his kindness. I fell for him pretty hard and now we are a couple," Cosmo said.
"We are very lucky to have sweet boyfriends who love and care about us," Mina said.
"Yes we do Mina," Cosmo said as taps their glasses in honor of the great relationships that will last forever.
Sonic and Tails look over to see Mina and Cosmo talking to each other. "I wonder what those girls are talking about over there," Tails said.
"You know girl stuff and whatnot. Man, Mina looking so pretty there," Sonic said to see her outfit hugging her body.
"Cosmo is looking nice as well," Tails can only see his beautiful lady rocking that white sundress showing her new mature figure making Tails' heart race.
"Tails, did you do the deed yet?" he asked as Tails was blushing from this to look embarrassed.
"Not yet but I dream of it all the time," Tails said as he had sensual dreams of making love with Cosmo.
"Well give it some time. She knows how much you care about her and it's only a matter of time until you two make the jump making your relationship solidify," Sonic said.
"Thanks, man. I will not try to blow it," Tails said as he gave Sonic a fist bump.
"Trust it, once you lay your seed into the field. There is no going back, she will see it as a seal of approval of you two becoming steady," Sonic said.
"Yes, I will keep it in mind. Cosmo is important to me and I will not lose my chance with her again," Tails said.
"Trust me Tails, you got this. We are pretty lucky with our girls," Sonic said looking lovely at Mina looking too good today.
"I know, I know," Tails said as the day came to an end. Everyone split up to do their own thing with Isabella and Melody going in their car to head for the village of Gola.
"Well, I need to this antique shop to grab some things," Isabella said as Melody was listening to her sister's music on the smartphone.
"I hope they have new kimonos I can wear," Melody said as they arrived at the small town within the mountain north of Okina City.
"I think they do honey, let's go inside," Isabella said as they went into the little shop for a scout bot looking from the hills to spot the small village.
"Lord Snively, another Mobian village has been found," the scout bot said via radio.
"Excellent, prepare for another attack and steal these furballs for my experiments," Snively commanded for a swarm of Swat-Bots, Hover Units, and Attack Walkers to siege the little village.
Elsewhere, Mina, Sonic, Cosmo, Nicole, and Tails are at a park to enjoy the sun with Mina getting a call from her mother. "Mina, please are you there?" Isabella asked sounding very scared
"Mama, what is wrong?" Mina asked.
"Well, the town I am shopping in is under attack by the Dragon Kingdom's Swat-Bot army," Isabella said as Mina's eyes widened.
"Are you serious?" Mina questioned.
"Yes I am, they are quickly killing off the defenders. Please come here quickly to save this town and us," Isabella said to cut off the line.
"Guys, the town of Gola is under attack by robotic forces from the Dragon Kingdom. Mom and Melody are caught in the middle of it," Mina said.
"Oh shit, we got to do something. Let's go guys," Sonic said as Sonic and Mina ran towards the village. Tails summoning his Cyclone plane with Cosmo sitting in the backseat. Nicole's drone latches into the bottom of the plane becoming its operating system as the Cyclone follows after the speedy duo.
"I don't believe this. My mama and sister are caught in this mess," Mina said feeling worried about them as well as the village being under attack.
"Yeah, Snively is making his move again. This time, we will give him a massive headache," Sonic said as Nicole was showing Tails a holographic map of Gola showing several groups of machines assaulting the town.
"Gee, this is nuts. They are surrounding the town," Tails said as Nicole detects several machine units including Swat-Bots, Officer Bots, Hover Units, and Assault Walkers. "Various platforms on the field, my Cyclone will be able to handle them," Tails said as they arrived to be met by a barrage of missiles.
Cosmo summons thick roots from the ground to block incoming blasts leashing out the roots like whips to slice up Assault Walkers. "Thanks, Cosmo," Tails said as he switched from flight mode to walker mode.
Tails and Nicole check all weapon systems like the autocannon, laser cannon, and missile launchers are online. Tails fires lock-on laser shots to destroy flying Hover Units.
"Time we spread out and take out the bots. Search for Isabella and Melody," Sonic said as they went off in four directions to search the battered mountain village to fend off the invading force.
Cosmo is using the trees to ensnare and crush incoming Swat-Bots. She grows a vine-like whip from her hand to slash a Swat Bot in half as she dodges a laser bolt with ballerina-like grace. She counters by leashing her vine whip to cut the robot into pieces.
Cosmo summons a flower bub to release acid melting nearby bots into piles of goo. She shoves her whip into the ground to see it spread to tear into several Swat-Bots with its sharp thorns. "My powers are very impressive and this time Tails I will be there for everyone," she thought to continue cutting down robots with her plant-based powers.
Mina is firing fireballs drawing on the Burst Wisp turning them into flaming scrap heaps. "Cube," Mina slams her arm cannon onto the ground to turn all nearby machines into blue energy cubes. The cubes explode killing anything inside as she fires electro orbs to take out Hover Units.
Mina rolls onto her side to fire more shots to put them down. "Mama, Melody where are you?" she shouted as she fired a beam of flames to melt several Swat-Bots.
"We are over here," Melody waves her head to be within the shop. Mina uses her speed to head over there but an Assault Walker knocks her onto the grass.
"Don't get in my way bucket of bolts, Lightning," Mina cloaks herself in electricity to use her speed to tackle the group of Swat Bots to reach the building. She hugs her mother and little sister pretty tightly.
"Thank goodness, you are here. These machines are everywhere," Isabella said.
"Yes, are you two okay?" Mina asked.
"Yes sadly the owner was killed and we were hiding in the basement," Melody said.
"Okay. Stay in the basement until we clear out the town," Mian said.
"Okay dear, be careful," Isabella said.
"I will," Mina said as the two go back into the basement to close it shut. "Guys, Mama and Melody are safe in the basement," Mina said as Sonic fought several groups of Swat-bots with Sonic evading and dodging the laser fire from their arm cannons.
"Good to hear, we need to clean up Snively's mess. Light Speed Attack," Sonic charged up and released his attack going into a string of hits to take out another group very swiftly.
He performs Homing Attacks to strike down several Swat Bots as he leaps onto a building to avoid the laser blast from a nearby Hover Unit. He hits the flying robot with another Homing Attack to take it down.
"Sonic Wind," Sonic runs around the group of Swat Bots and Assault Walkers to lift them into a blue wind twister. He lines them up with a Light Speed Attack taking them out in quick attack strings.
Tails and Nicole work together to tear and control the enemy forces. Nicole stuns a Hover Unit via hacking with Tails hitting it with a homing laser destroying it. Tails fires a series of missiles to strike a squad of Swat-bots with Nicole making a group of machines shut down leaving them vulnerable to Tails' barrage of lasers and missiles.
He fires the chassis-mounted autocannon to fire an explosive shell to knock the Hover Unit out of the air. The top mountain laser cannon is locking onto several targets to bring them all down with the autocannon blasting away the Walkers and Swat-bots.
Mina is clearing up Swat-Bots but someone is watching her performance being impressed. "I must admit your control over Color Powers of the Wisp is quite good. Perfect for my honey buns experiments," a regal-sounding female is right behind her.
"Who is that?" Mina aims for her cannon but it starts to shut down unable for her to use the color powers built into it.
"I am Regina Ferrum Robotnik, the Iron Queen of the Dragon Empire. My Iron King/husband Snively Robotnik would love for you to be part of his experiments with Wisp," Regina said as Mina saw a tall human woman having pale white skin, yellow eyes, and long dyed green hair. She is sporting a black and crimson dress and a gold crown on her head.
"I will not be used as a lab rat," Mina tries to use her arm cannon but Regina uses her Magitek to make the arm cannon explode making Mina unable to use Color powers now. "I still have my speed," Mina rushes in to give the evil human woman a sharp kick but Regina is fast enough to block it with her staff.
She targets the comlink in her ear to give her a painful shock as Regina causes it to overload with her techno-magic. Mina is unable to move with the electricity shocking her in place with an Assault Walker uses a riot round to hit Mina in the head with a rubber bullet knocking her out.
"You sure look like a rat with that disgusting tail," Regina said as the Assault Walker grabbed her and put her in a compartment to be safe to transport her. "My darling, I have found this girl who was using a machine to use Wisp Color powers," he said as Snively was very pleased with this.
"Excellent my sweetheart. Get her here ASAP," Snively said.
"Of course, let's get out of here," Regina ordered as all the enemy forces moved away leaving the village in ruins.
Nicole noticed something as they went over to the shop to see Isabella and Melody still in the shop's basement. "Good thing, you are safe here," Sonic said.
"Thank you, where is Mina?" Isabella asked as they didn't see her anywhere and her radio had been destroyed.
"Oh no, I detected her life signs. She has been captured by the enemy," Nicole said as everyone especially Sonic is upset by this.
"Damn it, we need to go and track her down," Sonic said as Nicole tracks her down to near the borders of the Dragon Kingdom.
"Well, I know where she is. Time to launch a rescue operation but we are going into enemy lands with no backup," Tails said.
"Come on Tails. All four of us should be enough to smash Needlenose's scrap heaps," Sonic said.
"Be careful and being my daughter back," Isabella said.
"I will, you can count on that," Sonic said as Sonic dashed forward with Tails, Cosmo, and Nicole on the Cyclone to follow beside Sonic to go into an enemy nation to save Mina from the Iron King and Queen.
