Chapter 24: Under the Sea
Back at the home base of Naugus and his Grandmasters, he and his second-in-command Infinite teleport back to his chambers for Infinite places the third Chaos Emerald to see three gems on the table. "Good work, it was wise to release you from your prison," Naugus said.
"Yes, the good doctor locked me up in that pod for too long and now with this Time Stone, I can let loss make a difference. Rip this boring world apart and make it more interesting," Infinite said as Naugus was amused by his bloodlust.
"Well, you will have more chances to fight and kill anything in your way," Naugus said as he called in Conquering Storm. "Keep me a report," he ordered as the ninja master knelt on her knee to give her a report.
"My spies noticed something pretty odd with Surge, one of Dr. Starline's minions. She has growing doubts about her role to him and you can exploit it for our further ends," Conquering Storm said.
"Interesting, I know that Dr. Starline has a Chaos Emerald. We will sow chaos within his ranks and swoop in while they are dazed and confused," Naugus said.
"Excellent," Infinite said as he walked away into the hallways to spot Sally and Bunnie nearby. "What are you looking at?" he demanded.
"Well, your mask is quite interesting," Sally said as Bunnie wasn't holding back her laughter.
"Yeah something an eight-year-old would think up," Bunnie said as she felt the cool steel of Infinite's sword at her throat.
"Watch it rabbit or your little neck will gush red," Infinite is dead serious about killing her on the spot if she makes another jab.
"Okay, you are the boss. It's just a joke," Bunnie said.
"Am I laughing now?" Infinite put a lot of power into his voice making the two women back away feeling threatened by his raw presence.
"No," Bunnie said weakly as Infinite was amused by this.
"See you both soon," Infinite said as Sally stopped holding her breath.
"What is with that guy?" Sally wondered.
"Beats me Sally Girl but we need to focus on our new mission," Bunnie said.
"Yes, we need intel on my brother and his plans to join the United Federation," Sally said.
"Speaking of which Breezie is taking a major hit from that scandal with the robot slaves thing," Bunnie shows her phone to see a news video about Breezie's island base being seized by GUN agents Shadow and Rouge along with a GUN strike team to take it over.
"Well, she was dumb enough to let Scratch, Grounder, and Coconuts take over security on that island. I don't feel sorry for her," Sally said.
"Indeed," Bunnie said as Naugus got a call from Breezie for him to turn on the holographic projector.
"What do you want Breezie?" he questioned as the CEO was quite stressed.
"Oh fuck, Sonic and Mina discovered my factory where it was turning people into robots. Gee, I need cheap labor due to operating costs, and now GUN raided my island. I going to be in a massive court battle soon and all that evidence they gathered will make it very hard to defend myself," Breezie said as Naugus is not considered with her plea.
"Well, it seems like our partnership is coming to an end. I sense you are going to suffer a hard fall and go to jail," Naugus said.
"What, you need me to give you intel on those echidna ruins," Breezie said.
"Well, I got a new intel group I can use. So, your services are no longer needed," Naugus said to turn off the projector with Breezie getting upset with this.
"That fool, I am Breezie Hedgehog. The CEO of the biggest media empire on Mobius," Breezie said as she was in her office in her fort on her private island covered by her private robotic army. "Might as well bunker down and come up with a plan. I will be dragged into court like some animal," Breezie feels backed into a corner to prepare for the worst.
Elsewhere Mina and Sonic head for Meropis City for she is doing a concert there. Sonic is in the backroom with Echo and Princess Undina enjoying the show.
"Wow, her movements are crisp and graceful," Undina said.
"I must admit, her dancing is not bad," Echo said as they were enjoying themselves.
"Sorry about the priestess not covering. She has important matters to until too. I know Mina and her are good friends now," Undina said.
"Yeah, she doesn't mind. She will understand," Sonic said with Mina presenting her song to the audience as she closed out her last song.
"Thank you, everyone. I am happy to be here in Meropis City which is a very beautiful city by the way. I can't wait to explore your city in full, hope to catch you all later," Mina waves to her fans to feel the cheer of the crowd.
She goes back to the backroom for she comes in to greet everyone with a smile. "You saw that guy?" she asked.
"Oh yes, you were impressive Mina," Undina said.
"It's quite interesting, everyone was glued by your every movement," Echo said.
"Thanks," Mina said.
"Well, you all want to see the city. If you need me, I will be going on my patrols," Echo said.
"I will go with you Echo, I need to do some shopping," Undina said as she said goodbye to them.
"Good to see them here," Mina said as she began to undress to take off her top and skirt to place them into a bag. Sonic sees her long tail sway back and forth to see his lovely girlfriend sporting a blue bra and blue silk panties.
"Yeah, they enjoyed themselves. The priestess didn't show up due to her duties," Sonic said as Mina slipped on a black tank top, brown shorts, and green knee-high boots.
"That's okay. I can check up on her later. Let's go check out the city," Mina said as she dragged Sonic outside to see the beautiful shell-shaped buildings towering over them. "This is still a knockout sight to behold here," Mina said as they looked up into the dome above them to see the sea life swimming past them like a herd of whales feeding on fish.
"Still lovely to look at," Sonic said as they headed for the marketplace to check out the shops.
"Yep it does, I want to go shopping. I bet they have nice-looking clothing here," Mina said as they searched for a shop to go check out.
"You hear about the fighting the other got into with the wizard and his new sidekick?" Sonic asked.
"Oh yeah, they got their asses kicked pretty badly. Some worse than others," Mina felt sympathy for Whisper for she sounded so heartbroken.
"Yeah, this Naugus is pretty tough. He had a very powerful magical barrier they couldn't break so easily. He manhandled all of them with ease and that guy named Infinite. He made Shadow look like a novice from what Shadow told me," Sonic said.
"Gee, things are heating up lately. Nicole is worried about Shard since he was badly damaged in the fight," Mina said to feel like things are only going to get worse.
"Hey babe, we are getting through this like we always do," Sonic putting Mina at ease with his usual optimism.
"Yes baby, you are right. We will stop them and save our world. Like always," Mina said as she checked her phone to see news articles about Breezie Media. "Oh, look at this. The court battles are not looking good for Breezie, she disappears to her private island. She is holding out there like the coward she is," Mina said.
"Seems like she is backed into a corner. Shadow and Rouge spooked her," Sonic said as it's been a few days since they escaped Breezie's island. "Seems like GUN needs to drag her out of there," Mina said.
"Well, hopefully, this comes to an end. One less bad guy to worry about would put the world at ease," Sonic said as Mina spots the shop she finds most interesting.
"This is the place," she said as they went into a clothing boutique to check out the native clothing styles. She sees a hairclip with a piece of coral on it. "Oh, this is so pretty," she said as she saw pretty arrays of underwear on display.
"Those are cute," Sonic said as Mina picked up a pair of blue and pink panties which are coral-themed.
"I bet you do," Mina said slyly as she went over to the shopkeeper. "Miss, do you have this bra in my size," she said as she told the woman her bra size.
"Oh, you are a big girl alright but sorry. We don't have it in your certain size," the shopkeeper said as Mina looked disappointed by this.
"I see, I would need to look somewhere else," Mina said as she went through the selections to get some outfits to try out. "Anyway, I am going to try some outfits and I want your honest opinion okay," she said.
"This would be fun," he said getting ready to see her in some sexy outfits
"I am sorry if this is boring you," Mina said.
"Don't worry about it, it's fun seeing you in those outfits," he said.
"That's the spirit," she said as she had hangers filled with outfits to go into the dressing room. She gets out of her overall dress and lifts off her top leaving her in her underwear. She looks in the mirror to see herself wearing her blue underwear complimenting her yellow fur.
"I want to knock his socks off," she said with an impish smile as she got into her first outfit. "How is this?" she asked as she came out to show a nice blue overall dress with a white t-shirt underneath it.
"Nice," he said as she went back to change into another outfit.
"What about this one," she said striking a pose while putting a hand on her right hip showing off a yellow top with a white crop jacket over it and blue bike shorts.
"She knows how to fill out those shorts," Sonic thought dumbly staring at her ass looking pronounced in the shorts. "Great," he said snapping out of it.
"Good," Mina said as she got into another outfit to get out of the dressing room to reveal a bikini. Sonic had a goofy look on his normally composed expression. "What do you think?" she asked.
"You look great, that's an understatement by the way," he said as her black bikini top is holding in her sizeable chest and her black bikini bottom showed off her voluptuous butt.
She shows a soft giggle to press her breasts against Sonic's arm. "Why thanks, that's so nice of you to say," she said teasing him as Sonic stared at her deep cleavage.
"Man, they're so big and soft too," Sonic thought.
"Well at least I know what suits his fancy," she thought. "Well, I am going to buy these. Thanks for your input Sonic," she said as she went into the dressing room to go back into her outfit. She takes the clothing to the shopkeeper to pay for them.
"Okay that's 115 Credits please," the shopkeeper said as Mina handed her the cash. "Thank you, have a good one love birds," she said waving them goodbye as Mina carried a bag filled with her new outfits, pairs of underwear, and a bikini.
"Okay, let's head for the hat shop. I want to get a nice headdress," Mina said to go into the next shop to see the nice headdresses on display.
Elsewhere Shadow and Rouge went to the GUN HQ in Central City as it's been a few days since their beatdown by Naugus and Infinite. They are in the medical wing to be within a room where Whisper is resting from the battle a few days ago.
"Whisper, how are you holding up?" Rouge asked as Whisper checked out her new robotic arms.
"Not good. We all blown away like we are nothing," Whisper said sounding pretty down to see Ace and Tangle stuck in medical pods to heal from their severe injuries. "That horrible monster, he will pay for this," Whisper said.
"Yeah, he will get what's coming to him. Commander Tower transferred you and Shard into Team Dark for the time being until your teammates recover fully," Rouge said as Whisper looked at them with appreciation in her big blue eyes.
"Thank you, I need to rest and cope with all this," Whisper said.
"Take your time," Shadow said as Whisper got back into bed with them noticing Nicole in her holo-lynx form to be talking with Shard with only his head active and his body almost finished repairs.
"How are you holding up?" Nicole asked.
"Well; you know, I still have my head in the game," Shard joked as Nicole sighed at his lame joke.
"Well seriously, you took a massive beating from Naugus and Infinite. This is horrible, two of our friends are in severe condition and now Naugus has a powerful second in command to control his forces," Nicole said.
'That jackal was using a time stone from Little Planet," Shard said as Nicole's eyes widened by this.
"Seriously, a time stone?" Nicole asked.
"Yes, I should know. It was infected with dark magic making him pull moves I hadn't seen before. Controlling time in a precise manner is unreal to fight against," Shard said.
"I see, I need to come up with countermeasures. I do know that Mina's color powers seem to be very effective against this dark magic from Naugus. Those dark towers are made from that same dark magic but Mina is the only one who can get rid of them due to her Hyper-on-go energy," Nicole said.
"It's worth a shot, we need all the help we can get," Shard said as Nicole grabbed his head to hug it against her chest.
"Get better and we will win against this threat," Nicole said.
"Now you are starting to sound like Sonic," Shard said.
"Well, I guess he is rubbing off on me," Nicole said as she watched over Shard.
Back with Mina and Sonic, they go into a pet shop for Mina is cooing at the cute animals. "Oh, so cute," Mina said to look at the glass display to see a bunch of rabbits eating cabbages.
Sonic looks over at a glass cage to see the lizard looking at him funny. "Do I know you?" Sonic joked as the lizard looked at him plainly not understanding what Sonic was saying.
"Oh my gosh, Sonic look at this," Mina said as she held a cute baby mongoose in her hands.
"Oh, a mongoose like you," Sonic said as Mina petted the yellow-furred mongoose.
"Yep, I bet we are related," Mina joked.
"Yeah, are you like half-human like the rest of us?" Sonic asked.
"Well yes, I kid but we are more related to humans than our animal ancestors at this point. I wish I had a pet mongoose but they are quite fierce despite their size," Mina said as the mongoose felt comfort in Mina's grip as she rubbed her fingers along his back.
"Seems like it, I've never seen a blue hedgehog that walks on four legs," Sonic joked.
"Indeed, did you know mongooses love to eat snakes? That's why Mongooses are so fast and have good reflexes because they need it to hunt venomous snakes," Mina said.
"Makes sense with you mentioning about natural mongoose speed," Sonic said.
'Yep, but my speed is a rare case. Most Mongooses I know don't super speed, must be a mutation like your speed," Mina said as she placed the mongoose back into his pen. "Oh, look at this," she said to see a bunch of hedgehogs being sold as pets.
"Look at this handsome devil," Sonic joked as Mina grabbed onto the baby hedgehog for him to let out a cute yawn.
"Oh, so cute just like a certain handsome hedgehog I know," Mina playfully pokes Sonic's chest.
"I am way cutest," Sonic said as Mina kissed him on the cheek.
"You surely are," Mina said in a flirty tone.
"Hello there, I see you like our exotic pet store," Undina said to come inside along with Echo. Everyone greeted the princess with a bow.
"Good morning Princess, what brings you here today?" the shopkeeper asked to bow his head for her in respect.
"At ease everyone, I am here to explore the markets. I was talking with the land dwellers about this new store you set up here," Undina said.
"Yes madam, due to the trade agreements with the United Federation we are getting new things we didn't have before like those pets like dogs, cats, or mongooses. Mongooses are pretty popular right now due to the Songoose's songs being pretty good to young people," the shopkeeper said.
"Oh, I see. I am happy everyone can enjoy their cute little mongoose in their life. Mongooses are great creatures," Mina said.
"Indeed, we have imported all sorts of goods from the surface," Undina said.
"I went into a clothing shop before here, you have gotten some new selections," Mina said.
"Yes, we got some cute clothing here as well. Also, we still have local stuff you can enjoy like sea snake skewers which I highly recommend," Undina said as Mina's stomach began to growl and she showed a blush on her face.
"Speaking of which, let's get something to eat dear," Mina said as they split up outside with the couple heading for a food stand to see all the tasty food on display.
"So, you two need something," the female vendor said.
"Sonic, let's try those sea snake skewers. They sound so tasty," Mina said as Sonic remembered that Mina and her family eat snake meat of various kinds.
"I'm up for it," Sonic said as they paid for sea snake skewers which are covered in a sweet sauce with spices on them.
"Enjoy," the vendor said as they sat down on a bench to smell the food. Mina's nose is filled with a delightful scent. They take a bite with Mina enjoying the tasty food with Sonic admitting it's not bad at all.
"This is pretty nice," Sonic said as Mina nodded her head.
"Indeed, it is. It's very rich and a bit smokey but I can dig it," Mina said as they looked up at the dome to see the sea life swimming beside it. "What a view, this place is like something out of a dream," Mina said.
"I am glad we managed to kick the wizard's forces out of here," Sonic said.
"Yep, it was worth it protecting this place," Mina said.
"Hey Mina, I got something for you," Sonic takes something from his bag to give her a small box. Mina's eyes widen as she opens the box to see a pink coral hairpin.
"Oh, this is pretty. Thank you, baby," she gives him a deep hug to kisses him on the lips.
"Anything for you babe," Sonic said as he helped her put it into her hair which matched her quite well.
"It's lovely, let's just enjoy the view here," Mina said as the couple just sat down on the bench and enjoyed the ocean through the dome above them.
Elsewhere Breezie is getting ready for an invasion on her private island. "Scratch, Grounder, and Coconuts prepare my defenses. GUN will be here soon," Breezie said.
"Of course, boss," Scratch said on the radio as she looked at a holographic display to see the Egg Wyvern within her hanger.
"They want a fight; I'll give them one. I will not let my empire fall around me. They will have to take it from my cold dead hands," Breezie said as she prepared for her last stand.
