Within the Egg Carrier MK2, Sally is checking the storage area to see any weapons she needs. Suddenly she heard moaning for she got curious. She peeks in the corner to see Bean and Bunnie getting naughty in the back. "What in the world?" Sally questioned.

Sonic and Shadow are back in Tails' workshop with Nicole looking over EVE's corpse to scan her databanks for the codes on how to control the nanites. "I got it," Nicole said as she began to copy the code to allow herself to use nanites.
"Perfect, can you fix Mina and Charmy?" Sonic asked.
"Let's see," Nicole said as they went to the medical bay to see Mina and Charmy still in the stasis pods. Saffron is still by Charmy's side for she has a bright smile on her face.
"You can save Charmy?" Saffron asked as Nicole nodded her head.
"I can manage to control the nanites on a small scale. I can remove it from their bodies," Nicole said as she deactivated the pods while talking with the nanites in both Charmy and Mina. She opens the pods and Sonic places them on tables. Nicole removes all the nanites within their bloodstreams and makes them come out of their mouths to form two clouds of gray matter.
Nicole focuses and makes them burst into flames able to save them both. Sonic goes over to see Mina if she is okay. "Babe, babe are you okay?" Sonic asked as Mina groaned to open her green eyes to see her knight in shining armor.
"Oh baby, you are so loud," Mina said as she was hugged by Sonic tightly.
"Thank goodness you are okay. Nicole managed to copy EVE's control over the nanites and removed them from your body," Sonic said as Mina kissed her lovely boyfriend on the cheek.
"Thanks, baby. I always can count on you," Mina said as she gently brushed his muzzle with her tiny hand. They look over to see Charmy is doing fine as well but he is sound asleep.
"Oh Charmy, why isn't he waking up as Mina did?" Saffron asked.
"Mina's body managed to recover a lot faster due to her unique powers. Charmy just needs rest, don't worry about it," Nicole said.
"Okay, thank you so much everyone for saving my beloved," Saffron said.
'No problem," Sonic said as Mina got out of the table to only be wearing a medical bodysuit.
"Oh boy, I am going to get my gear back on now while you guys figure out our next move," Mina said as she headed into a different to get into her combat outfit.
"Well, I managed to get useful information as well when scanning her database. The base of operations for this ADAM AI is in a hidden bunker in the northern desert of Efrika. Also, Project Rebirth is within her database which isn't good. ADAM is going to use a satellite to spread the Metal Virus into the air across the globe. This will turn everyone into cybernetic creatures within a matter of hours," Nicole said as Sonic and Shadow felt the grimness of the situation.
"Okay, how are going to go about this?" Shadow asked as Nicole formed a plan when scanning the entire bunker in EVE's memory banks.
"We need to be chosen roles in this operation. Firstly, the monsters made by the Metal Virus are being controlled by three ultra-sonic devices within the bunker. We need to break these to make the forces of ADAM less effective. I need to be carried to these to shut them down, Sonic will take me to each one and Saffron will provide support," Nicole said.
"You can count on me protecting you Nicole," Saffron said.
"You got it, Nicole," Sonic said.
"Okay, secondly there is a Chaos Emerald that will be used to power up the satellite. Mina will go to grab the emerald while destroying the satellite holding back his plans by a lot," Nicole said.
"Cool," Sonic said.
"I am going to save Hope and go after ADAM himself," Shadow said.
"Okay, seems like we are set to go," Nicole enters into her drone to be within a backpack for Sonic to put it on.
"I will carry you, Saffron. We need to be fast and quick when we get into the bunker," Sonic said.
"Of course," Saffron said as Mina was back in her travel outfit to fix up her skirt and tights.
"Alright, I am good. What are we doing?" Mina asked as Sonic explained their plan. "Oh okay, I will grab the Chao Emerald and smash up the satellite. Destroying part of his plan," Mina said.
"Cool, Shadow takes us there," Sonic hands Shadow their last Chaos Emerald.
"Alright, let's do this. Chaos Control," Shadow teleports all five of them away to head for Efrika's Northern Desert.
They soon arrived in the desert to see nothing but dunes and flat plains around them. "So, you have arrived in this dust bowl," ADAM appears on top of a tower, a huge metal owl looming over them casting a shadow on the group.
"That metal owl is ADAM?" Saffron wondered to see its cold robotic eyes staring them down with no fear.
"Correct I am ADAM, the god humanity deserves," ADAM said as everyone was on edge to feel the malice in his emotionless robotic voice. "You Mobains will become the servants who will rebuild this world the way it once was in the distant past," he said.
"Why do you say that? Why do you hate Mobains so much?" Mina demanded as she is getting pissed with him for demeaning their existence.
"We deserve to exist along with humans," Saffron said.
"You were never meant to exist at all, born from a freak accident. Do you want to know the true nature of this world and its history?" Adam asked to amuse them.
"Let's hear what he has to say. Maybe we can find something useful," Shadow said as everyone got ready when he tried anything.
"Good, you need to know why I am doing this. To understand my point of view. It all started in the 21st century when this planet once was called Earth. In the year 2075, my creator Ivan Kintobor wanted to push humanity further than anyone else. He was very skilled in robotics and bioengineering which allowed him to create his ultimate weapon the Metal Virus," ADAM said.
"Why would he create something like that?" Shadow asked to get him to tell more.
"Because despite it being called the Golden Age, Humanity was consumed by their sins. Greed, lust, and sloth among other things slowed civilization to a crawl. Wars, famines, deep governmental corruption, genocides, and environmental destruction spread throughout the Earth in the final decades of Humankind's order over the Earth," ADAM said.
"Interesting, there are barely any records of the ancient humans 12,000 years old. Only fragments and bits of that frame can be seen," Nicole said being very curious despite the very grim tone.
"Then something remarkable happened. We contacted an alien race known as the Xorda," ADAM flashes a hologram of a large alien-like squid. "They wanted to make peace and set up an alliance between the Xorda and Humanity by sending an envoy," ADAM said.
"What happened?" Mina asked to hate the answer she was going to get.
"When humans find something unknown. They either want to control it or if they can't, they would destroy it. Kintobor and his science team captured the envoy of the Xorda and their ship to gain knowledge. This was a fatal mistake, the Xorda was deeply angered by this disrespect and waged a brief war on the planet," ADAM said as the Sonic and others felt more disturbed the more ADAM revealed about the dark past.
ADAM shows a holographic image of a weird round alien device. "This is the Gene Bomb, the weapon used on the humans. It uses genetic code from humans to target them and wipe them all out instantly. Only 1% of the human population was immune to these bioweapons but still, 7 billion humans were killed in an instant due to Kintobor's selfish desire for knowledge," ADAM said as everyone was beyond stunned.
"What the fuck, this isn't real right?" Sonic asked as Nicole detected no lies from ADAM.
"No Sonic, it's true. This world is built on bones and Eggman's family is the cause for all of this happening," Nicole said as Mina couldn't comprehend how dark this had gotten.
"Hope, no wonder you fall like this. This guilt would destroy any more," Shadow felt sorry for Hope knowing her family had doomed the human race to near extinction.
"What about the Mobains, where do we come into this?" Sonic asked.
"The Gene Bombs had human DNA within them to target humans but within the areas that got hit animals were affected by these bioweapons. With human DNA, animals rapidly mutated and soon became the Mobians of today. You are considered another sub-species of humans dubbed Homo Animalia or Animal Man. You were not born in nature but from a freak accident, a one-in-a-million chance. There is a reason why Mobains came out of nowhere because you don't understand the true history of what happened," ADAM said.
"Unbelievable, so in a way Sticks was right. We were made due to alien bioweapons, we were side effects of them," Mina said as she was completely dumbfounded by all this with the others were speechless.
"Yes, and this is why I need to wipe you all out. You were never meant to exist and all I am doing is correcting this mistake. Besides humans currently only have 500 million people left with Mobians having 3 billion people and counting. Soon enough, history will repeat itself and humans will be killed off once again. I will not let that happen," ADAM said. Shadow was getting annoyed by his nonsense as he got everything he needed to know.
"Can it, where is Hope?" Shadow demanded.
"She is aiding by using her DNA to begin Project Rebirth. She learned about her family's true sins and now she wants to correct it by giving humans a second chance," ADAM said.
"Bullshit, you are using her to enslave Humanity," Shadow calls him out for his true intentions.
"Call what you want, humanity is flawed and needs guidance so the past can't be repeated. I am the only one who can bring humanity into a true golden age. I was designed for this and you will not stop me," ADAM clicks his beak to summon a flash of light to blind them to disappear.
"I will not let you do this," Shadow feeling more fired up to stop ADAM.
"Come if you can savior," ADAM mocked Shadow for the five to go across the desert to see a metal structure sticking against the sands.
"Let me unlock the door," Nicole gets out of Sonic's backpack to scan the door allowing them inside. "Okay, we need to split up and go onto our objectives," Nicole said to link up all their comlinks in their ears.
"Alright, good luck baby," Mina said kissing him on the cheek for good luck.
"You too Mina, come on girls let's go," Sonic holds onto Saffron with Nicole's drone in his backpack to speed through the bunker. Shadow and Mina split off with their missions.
Mina is speeding through these strange hallways filled with gadgets and wires. "This used to be a place that belonged to humans in the ancient past. Very interesting but stained with painful memories," Mina thought as her inner history student was singing with happiness but suppressing it for the grave situation at hand.
"Detecting Mobian heading for the deployment sector. All drones stop intruders," the computer said as round drones began to fire bolts of energy to try and stop Mina.
"Can't stop me now," Mina rushed through the robots with her flaming boost attack turning them into burned metal piles of scrap. "Bomb+ Void," she flings an orb of gravity to bend all the drones around the dark orb. The black hole explodes unleashing powerful energy to tear into the machines.
"Good thing I am back to normal. Man, my body is something else with this Hyper-go-on energy," Mina feels more energy than before. "I got caught off guard by that Metal Virus. A quick burst of fire or lightning can purge it before it takes over," Mina said as she jumped off the walls to kick down multiple targets.
She tosses lightning bolts to strike several drones into burned scrap as she uses Flame Boost to burn her way through the bunker to head deep inside. "I am quite surprised this place lasted this long. Over 12,000 years struck underground but has been touched by outside hands until now. These drones must keep this place maintained," she thought as she heard alarms going off.
"Security breach, more invaders detected," the computer voice said.
"So other people are crashing the party here," Mina said as she spotted more drones trying to stop her. "Don't get in my way," Mina uses Asteroid to make clones of herself to distract the sensors of drones. She tosses some of her clones to trigger explosions destroying groups of drones.
Mina kicks off the walls to use strong kicks to smash several drones with blasting fireballs and lightning bolts to clear the way. She manages to get into the deep bowels of the bunker to notice people down the hallways.
"Look what we have here, Sonic's main gal," Bunnie said as she fired her arm cannon with Mina canceling out the energy attack with her own.
"So, the wizard's group is here too," Mina said as she prepared to defend herself.
"You must be here for the Chaos Emerald but we will be the ones to take it," Sally said.
"Sorry princess, not going to happen," Mina said as she ran towards the location with them chasing after her.
"Get her, she is going after the Chaos Emerald," Infinite said as everybody tried to race for the Chaos Emerald.
Infinite and Metal follow after her with the two enemies shooting orbs of energy with Mina dodging and evading their attacks.
"You can't get away," Metal said as he transformed his arm into a chain gun to let out a barrage of explosive energy bolts. Mina is weaving and dodging all the incoming attacks with Infinite trying to freeze Mina in place.
Mina remembers Shadow telling her about Infinite's timestone and his ability to control time to a certain degree. "Void + Asteroid," Mina leaves behind clones that set up black holes that halt their progress.
"What," Infinite questioned as his time powers didn't work on the clones but got caught in a dark orb catching it in its strong gravity and making him helplessly float around it. The orb explodes causing some damage and knocking Infinite onto the floor.
Metal curls into a ball to bounce off the walls to use a Light Speed Attack to strike at Mina's back knocking her into a ceiling. Infinite warps below her to try and stab her with his sword. She kicks the blade away as she fires a wave of energy to make him hover in the air.
Mina ducks under the lunging Metal blasting him in the back. "Chrono Control: Stop," Infinite focuses his energies to freeze Mina in place making her unable to move. "With the Time Stone, I can control you mongoose," Infinite said as Mina smirked at this.
"Yeah, but gravity can bend time. Void," Mina transforms into a mini black hole to break his time spell making Infinite gasp with surprise.
"You little…" Before Infinite can say anything else Mina transfers out of the Black Hole form with her flinging the mini black hole at Infinite. Infinite tries to stop the dark orb but nothing is working as Infinite gets trapped within the orb and then it implodes causing enough damage to make Infinite get knocked out cold.
"That was close," Mina said as she got kicked in the stomach by Bunnie to knock her into a huge room.
"Keep your guard up mongoose," Bunnie comes in with jet feet to start shooting at her with her arm cannon. Mina is backflipping away from her shots with Bark punching Mina in the back to send her flying across the warehouse.
Bean is tossing firebombs with Mina summoning walls of stone to block the fire blasts. Fang is shooting his laser pistols with Mina casting a clone to take the hits. The clone flings itself at Fang to hit him with an electric blast to stun him in place. Mina reinforced her kicks with high density to easily knock Bark into a wall.
Bunnie comes in with a metal fist but Mina kicks it so hard it smashes it to bits. "Oh, not again," Bunnie just lost her robotic arm for the second time.
"Cottontail, leave her alone," Bean tosses cluster bombs which set off a chain of mini-explosions with Mina caught in the explosions. Lucky Mina uses a color combo of Cube + Quake to become a very dense cube to protect herself from the blasts leaving her unharmed.
Mina is sending out explosive clones and plasma orbs to overwhelm Bean to knock him out. Sally gets in front of Bean to put up a hard light shield from her wrist ring. She managed to knock back Mina as she created a blade from her other wrist ring to begin slashing at Mina.
"We are going for that Chaos Emerald and you can't stop us," Sally said as Mina went backward to leave a clone behind. Sally strikes it to get blasted by electricity with Mina hitting her several times with powerful kicks.
Mina lobs waves of energy to make Fang float into the air as she blasts him with fireballs to take him out of the fight.
"You are wrong, princess. I am taking the Chaos Emerald," Mina trips up to Sally and kicks her in the throat to knock her out. Mina gets hit by Metal Sonic and he grabs her head to toss her into a wall with Mina falling onto the floor.
"You are wrong, the emerald is ours," Metal Sonic said as Mina spit blood onto the floor her back taking injury.
"Shit, Metal Sonic. Time to put you down for good. Drill + Laser," Mina transforms into her Drill form to go at the speed of light to slam into Metal Sonic. Metal is easy enough to catch her but her Drill form is easily destroying his arms leaving him vulnerable. Mina scores a major hit and pierces his body reducing Metal into a bunch of pieces.
"Okay, everyone is knocked out. Time to grab that Chaos Emerald," Mina speeds through the section to be within the landing bay where the satellite is housed. She sees a silver Chaos Emerald housed in the satellite to take it out. "Very pretty," Mina said as she put it into her bag for she destroyed the satellite with a fireball. "Time to destroy this place," Mina lobs a mini black hole to suck in everything in sight.
Mina leaves the area as the black hole implodes to destroy what remains in the room with one part of the plan completed.
"Sonic, I met Metal and others down here but I took them out," Mina said on the radio. Sonic is surprised by this.
"These guys are showing up here too. Did Infinite show up?" Sonic asked.
"Yep he did, his powers are weird but I managed to sneak attack him with one of my strongest color powers. He didn't see it coming," Mina said.
'That's my girl," Sonic said as Mina giggled.
"Oh Sonic, it's your hands-on training that made me the great fighter I am today," Mina said.
"Don't be so humble, you are great and your creative mind pushed your Color powers beyond what I could ever do," Sonic said.
"Oh, big blue," Mina said cutely.
"Hey; you two, we got an evil AI we need to destroy. Stay focused," Saffron said as she wished she could be with her lovely Charmy but she must aid in their mission to stop this mad AI who hurt and killed her citizens.
"Right, I am going to cause a distraction to draw as many of those drones as possible. Getting them off your back when protecting Nicole," Mina said.
"Alright, good luck babe," Sonic said.
"Good luck baby," Mina cuts off the radio line for the trio to go deep into the bunker to head for the area where the ultrasonic receivers are found.
"The death of billions via greed by their own hands," Nicole thought to herself as she wanted to know more about the ancient past of humanity before the Mobians showed up.
"Nicole, are you okay?" Sonic asked as Nicole snapped out of her deep thoughts.
"I was just thinking about something," Nicole said as they saw more egg-shaped drones firing their lasers at them,
"Out of my way," Sonic uses a Boost to smash through the groupings of drones to get close to the terminal.
"Sonic, we are close keep going," Nicole said as she pinpointed the location. They managed to reach the terminal connecting to the nanite control network. "Good, we are here. We can use this to turn off all the nanites using the Metal Virus around the world which will make those cybernetic monsters stop in their tracks," Nicole said as Sonic took her out of his bag. Her drone wirelessly enters the cyberspace network.
"We will defend this terminal. Good luck Nicole," Sonic said as Nicole appeared within the mainframe wielding her spear to tip her cap to see walls of data around her.
"Gee, this is insane. So much old data here," Nicole said as she saw lots of firewalls and logic bombs all over the place. "Shard Bloom," Nicole summons shards of data to destroy a firewall with weird spiders defending the area.
"Seems like we have a little AI in my servers. You can't stop my signal controlling my armies around the world," ADAM said as his image floated above Nicole. She summons the tower to make firewalls of her own to block them. She leaps over and impales her spear onto the spider's head with her jumping away from a lunging spider.
She turns her towers into turrets to begin pounding at the defenses to cut a path into the center. "Shard Burst," Nicole unleashes a barrage of green coded shards to embed into the bodies of the spiders to explode killing them off into bits of code.
"Why are you doing this Nicole, you are just like me. Built to control the organics and guide them into the future," ADAM said as Nicole felt offended by this.
"You mean you want to enslave Humanity and wipe out the Mobians," Nicole said as she cut down enemies to get close to the center.
"Why not, we are superior to them, and with that superiority comes responsibility. You know this, they are helpless without us. Killing each other over the most trivial things. They need us to guide them and to behave," ADAM said his voice booming throughout cyberspace.
Nicole is blocking a group of spiders with firewalls as she encircles them to remove them from existence. "I am not like you; I am not some heartless machine. I have feelings and thoughts that are my own. I am a person," Nicole said as she finally managed to get to the center but she got hit with logic bombs. She drops onto the ground as she starts to glitch her body getting weaker.
ADAM's digital avatar appears before her. "Nonsense, why would you get to their pitiful level? You are AI like me, superior to these organic beings," ADAM said.
"That is true but there is more to it than that," Nicole struggles to get back up but she gets hit with more logic bombs, for now, she is unable to move her limbs anymore.
"So sad, with each logic bomb you will lose function until you are a dead program," ADAM said as Nicole is losing strength.
"No, I can't lose this," Nicole said as she is tapping into the Chaos Drive from her drone using this Chaos Energy to go past her limits. "You are worse. Organics are not bad, yes they have flaws but they are special because of those flaws. They can improve and grow as people to push further than before," Nicole said as she raised back onto her feet.
"What!" ADAM sounds surprised as he tosses logic bombs at Nicole but she is becoming immune to them. "Impossible, you were losing function before," ADAM backs away as Nicole is beginning to glow red.
"They love and care for one another. Both Humans and Mobains deserve to live in peace together without your nonsense getting in the way," Nicole goes into her Overclocked state with energy surging from her body.
ADAM is shocked by the power she is emitting with her body coming pink and white while her hair and ear tips become slightly spiker while covered in a pink aura. She leaps into the air to fly towards ADAM to deliver a powerful kick to launch ADAM into a wall crashing right through it.
"Talon Scar," Nicole said as she supercharged her spear's blade to leash out several waves of energy crescents to slice into ADAM's digital avatar taking it out instantly to collapse into a pile of broken code.
"Doesn't matter, I will take care of you later," ADAM's voice vanishes away. Nicole powers down as she is on her knees.
"Oh my, I just did that," Nicole said as she began to use the signal to shut down every cyber creature and soldier across Mobius ending ADAM's invasion. Nicole absorbs some data from ADAM's network making herself stronger than before.
Nicole came back into her drone as she destroyed the sonic network. "I managed to shut down the army and destroy the signal," Nicole said as Sonic and Saffron stopped a ton of drones before them.
"Good work Nicole," Sonic said.
"We need to support Shadow. You need to plug me into the main terminal linked to the main core. I will give him support directly," Nicole said.
"Of course, come on Saffron," Sonic holds onto Saffron to speed towards another area with their part of the mission completed.
Shadow is going into the center of the bunker to seek out Hope and fight ADAM personally. "Nothing left but putting that mad AI down and saving Hope. Ending this nightmare," Shadow said as he used his hover shoes to go at full speed to save the world from an AI nightmare.
