Chapter 8 Fourth action / Undead Cheetah
(Morning. 10:10am.)
(B.O.A.R.D)
"Through these wings we have our bone research rooms!" A man in a suit shows the children.
"I thought it would be more boring, but it's kind of cool!" Tobias says and the students murmur in agreement.
It's finally the day of the excursion, and the students from Gumball's class are gathered in the corridors of B.O.A.R.D. looking at the presentations and the aspects and development of each wing of the company.
"Excuse me! Mr. Saiko!" A girl in the crowd of students speaks up, drawing the attention of the man with two angel wings on his head.
"Yes, go ahead... it's..." Saiko tries to remember the name of the girl who called him.
"Penny, my name is Penny!" Penny says, picking up her notebook. "If it's not too much trouble, could I ask you a question?"
"Of course it wouldn't be a bother! You can ask anything you like!" Saiko says, crossing her arms and waiting for the question.
"I'd like to ask you why you decided to open this archaeology company and why you continue with it?" Penny asks as she looks at the man.
"Oh, that's a great question!" Saiko gives a slight smile. "Well, first of all, it wasn't me who decided to open this archaeology company. It was my superior."
"And what's his name?" Banana Joe asks as he raises his hand.
"About that, he doesn't like the spotlight very much. So he asked me to run this industry." Saiko explains to the children.
Saiko continues with the students, showing them everything (that he is allowed to talk about.) about the company. Meanwhile, Gumball and Darwin are at the service desk talking to Miss Carol.
"Is your job really boring?" Darwin says, turning his head slightly.
"It's pretty boring most of the time!" Carol says before letting out a sigh. "But still, my work is very important."
"And you check your computer to see if anything in the company has gone wrong and you call Gumball to sort it out?" Darwin asks, looking at Carol's PC.
"That's almost it!..." Carol replies with a nervous smile as sweat beads up on her forehead.
"It's that way, Darwin. It's that way..." Gumball wonders about the two of them. "But Miss Carol, you don't have my... work to do today, do you?"
"No. I can't find anything in the records. Then you're free for today."
"That's it!" Gumball celebrates as his tail wags excitedly.
"Watterson! Let's go!" Little Lord says as he follows the gang.
"I think that's enough talk. See you Miss Carol!" Gumball says goodbye to the woman.
"See you Miss Carol!" Darwin says goodbye as he runs alongside Gumball.
"See you... oh, oh, those two..." Carol crosses her arms as she watches them leave.
[...]
"These are the machinery wards." Saiko says as she points out some windows.
The students move to the window and see some robotic arms building some kind of silver rectangle.
"Hey, Mr. Saiko! What are those arms doing?" Carmen says as she looks out of the window.
"Oh, well..." Saiko looks thoughtful, trying to think of something.
Gumball looks out the window and realizes that the arms are making a new Rider System.
"Another one? Why another one?" Gumball mutters as he looks out of the window.
"That's an infrared scanner so we can locate foci!" Saiko says as she points her finger upwards.
"This will make it easier to locate the foci?" Penny asks.
"Yes! That's right!" Saiko says a little nervously.
"Mr. Saiko! What do you intend to do for the future of this industry?" Alan raises his hand.
"Well... that's still a question. We want to understand the species that have already gone extinct." Saiko says as she looks at the window. "But anyway, let's move on!"
Everyone starts walking again, but stops when they hear a cell phone ringing.
"Whose phone is that?" Saiko asks, looking at the students.
"Ahhh... Mr. Saiko!" Gumball raises his hand. "Can I go to the bathroom for a few minutes?"
Saiko's eyes widen as he realizes what's happening. He nods to Gumball.
"Okay, Gumball. But... don't take too long, okay." Saiko says as she motions for the others to follow.
Gumball quickly turns away from the people, running in the opposite direction. Darwin looks at Gumball and realizes that he's not going to the bathroom, so, a little confused, he decides to follow Gumball
PAUSE
"What are you going to do today?" An old man says as he sits in an armchair in the yard.
"I think I'll stay here... watching the street." An elderly woman speaks while also sitting in an armchair.
"Hey, what's that?" Another old man says while looking at the street.
A figure rushes past them, causing the old people to be thrown away.
"What was that?" An old man says frightened.
"Could it have been those young people running?" The old woman says as she tries to get up.
The figure continues running until it stops in front of a snack bar. He looks out of the window and sees some people eating hamburgers.
"What's that?..." A woman says as she drops her burger.
"What?" The man next to her speaks as he looks out and sees something that looks like a monster.
The Undead quickly jumps out of the window and into the diner. People start running in fear while one man lets out a tired sigh.
"Ahh... This is going to be deducted from my salary..." Larry sighs as he sees the people running and the snacks being thrown away.
Gumball arrives at the scene and sees the Undead destroying the snack bar, picking up his Driver he puts it on his waist and fits the Change card into it.
The Driver makes cards fly around Gumball's waist and the waiting music starts to play, Gumball strikes his pose and gets ready.
"Gumball! You weren't going to the..." Darwin approaches and stops at the sight of Gumball.
"Henshin!" Gumball pulls the lever on the Drive, making him speak.
Trun-Up
A huge blue card appears in front of Gumball and he runs up to it, passing through it and making his Rider armor appear.
"What's..." Darwin freezes as he watches Gumball transform into Blade.
Blade runs up to the Undead while drawing his Blay Rouzer, raising his sword he slashes at the Undead. But the Undead runs to the side and easily dodges the attack.
Pushing himself forward, he positions himself and kicks Blade away. Blade is pushed and falls to the ground, but he quickly gets up and opens his Blay Rouzer. Picking up a card, he runs it through the scanner. "Tackle!" Blade lights up with blue energy.
The Undead runs up to Blade and quickly knocks him down again.
"Shit!" Blade gets up from the ground and looks at the Undead, seeing it running sideways he sees the Undead's speed.
"No wonder it's a cheetah!" Blade gets a little angry and points his sword at the Undead.
Darwin walks off to the side while keeping as quiet as possible so as not to attract the Undead's attention.
"I still can't believe Gumball is Blade!" Darwin mutters as he looks through the drawers and grabs some detergent.
"But this way I'll be able to help him!" Darwin says excitedly as he picks up a hose.
[...]
"Stand still!" Blade shouts as he tries to hit the Undead with his sword.
The Undead jumps across the tables, easily dodging Blade's slashes, Blade runs up to the Undead, but it jumps and dodges Blade's attack.
"Come on!" Blade shouts indignantly at the Undead as he gets up.
The Undead laughs at Blade, but he feels a liquid on his feet, the Undead looks down and slips and falls to the ground.
"What?" Blade looks confusedly at the Undead, until he notices Darwin holding a hose with water coming out of it.
"Blade! Use your electric attack to hit the Undead with the water!" Darwin shouts and climbs onto a table as he climbs onto a table. "I'll be fine!"
Blade nods and opens his Blay Rouzer, he picks up a card and runs it through the scanner "Thunder!" The sword lights up with electric rays. He jumps onto a table and slams the sword into the ground.
The water electrifies and the Undead shudders as he feels the electricity pass through his body and he is thrown away.
Blade jumps up from the table and runs over to the Undead, opening his Blay Rouzer he quickly picks up a card and runs it through the scanner "Slash!" Blade's sword lights up and he hits the Undead with a powerful side slash.
The Undead is thrown by Blade's attack. It falls to the ground and runs up to Blade, Blade puts his sword away and grabs the Undead's arms before it pushes him away.
Blade steps on the ground and moves his body, pulling the Undead and throwing it upwards. He pulls out his Blay Rouzer and aims upwards, causing the Undead to be slashed across the belly.
The Undead falls to the ground and groans in pain, but he gets up and faces Blade. Blade opens his Blay Rouzer and picks up two cards. The Undead moves away from Blade and prepares to advance.
Blade passes the two cards through the scanner. "Thunder!" "Kick!" Blade slams his sword into the ground as his body releases steam. "Lightning Blast!"
Blade jumps up and spins his body as his foot fills with electricity, he prepares to kick the Undead.
The Undead advances against Blade, and he positions himself and kicks the Undead before it can touch him.
The Undead falls to the ground and a small explosion erupts from its body. The Undead's belt opens and Blade goes to his Blay Rouzer and takes out a card, he throws it at the Undead and it is sucked into the card.
"Right!" Blade sighs and takes the card back. "It's finally over!"
Darwin walks over to Blade and pats him on the shoulder.
"What's up, you okay?" Darwin asks as he approaches Blade.
"No, I'm fine. But what about you?" Blade says as he puts away his Blay Rouzer.
"Good, Gumball. But I don't think people got hurt," Darwin says as he watches Blade.
"Yeah... but I think you should go back to where your friends are." Blade says as he starts walking.
"Gumball, listen to me, please!" Darwin says as he walks behind Blade.
"I'm sorry, but I really need to... wait what did you call me?" Blade turns back and looks at Darwin.
"I saw you transform!" Darwin says while looking at Gumball with a debauched expression.
"...Shit!" Blade mutters.
[...]
"And with that the tour is over!" Saiko says while.
Saiko and the students continue talking while slowly Gumball and Darwin rejoin the group without anyone noticing.
"I still can't believe my brother is a superhero!" Darwin mutters as he looks at Gumball excitedly.
"Make sure you don't tell anyone!" Gumball whispers as he puts his index finger in front of his mouth.
"But you're going to tell me everything, okay?" Darwin says with a wink.
"Right..." Gumball mutters, giving up insisting.
(Night.)
"We're here, Mom and Dad!" Darwin shouts as he looks at his parents.
"Yeah... we're here..." Gumball enters the house while yawning tiredly.
"Hi, darlings! Would you like some dinner now?" Nicole says as she goes to greet and hug her children.
"Then Gumball and I will go to our room and get some rest!" Darwin says as he stares at Gumball.
Gumball swallows dryly, seeing the look on Darwin's face. The two boys climb the stairs and enter their room. Darwin enters his room and looks around, glancing to the side to make sure no one is listening.
"What are you doing?" Gumball asks as he watches Darwin act strangely.
"I'm checking there's no one listening!" Darwin says looking under the bed. "But anyway!" Darwin gets up and walks over to Gumball. "Tell me everything!"
"From the beginning?"
"From the beginning!"
