Life As A Chaldean Master

Your Memory Keeps Me Alive

*Inside Sonic's Dream*

Sonic slowly opens his eyes, rubs them, and yawns soon after, unaware of his surroundings. He feels himself sitting on a hard surface, which his mind tells him he isn't on his bed inside his room.

"*Yawning* Hmmm... Where am I this...? Am I in some dream Avalon made for me again...? *Sighs* I need to stop her from doing that..." Sonic, Still Tired

Moments later, a small floating pebble hits Sonic, waking him up as he looks around his surroundings. As he checks around, he realizes he is standing in the middle of Solomon's Throne. Sonic quickly gets up soon after.

"What the... This is Solomon's Throne... The one similar back then... Why am I here all of a sudden?" Sonic commented

Sonic looks up the flight of stairs to see the single-throne chair right at the top, which is as empty as before. He looks up until he starts running up the stairs towards the throne. Once there, he checks around for anybody in sight but seems alone. He walks closer to the empty seat and analyzes it much closer.

"Everything looks... Familiar. I could recall everything that happened that day so vividly. Goetia... Solomon... The Demon Gods... Everything that occurred." Sonic stated

Sonic stares at the throne before him, trying to comprehend why he is here. That is until he hears something behind him. He quickly turns around to look, but no one is in sight. His mind raced with a thousand questions, wondering why everything was happening.

"Whoever is out there, show yourself! I don't know exactly what's going on, but that doesn't mean I won't fight back, whoever you are!" Sonic shouted, His Voice echoing

Sonic waited for something to occur soon after threatening whoever or whatever was watching him. He stood still in his fighting stance until he heard another sound behind him again.

"Very funny, whoever is doing that. But once I see you again, you'll regret you did that, to begin with!" Sonic threatened

"Still the brave fighter you are, Sonic The Hedgehog. It's like you never changed a bit."

Sonic's eyes widened, and he quickly turned to see a familiar person sitting on the throne, smiling at him. Sonic gasped as the person stood up and walked towards the Blue Blur.

"S-Solo..."

"Nice to see you, Sonic. I'm pretty surprised that you decided to visit this old place before. But it was expected that we would meet somewhere at some point." Solomon said

"Solomon... What are you doing here? How are you still here...? I thought you erased yourself from existence..?" Sonic, Confused

"Oh, Sonic, that's still the case here. I indeed erased myself. That has to do with anything related to me. But, with you, since you can remember who I was, my name still exists outside this dream you're currently having. Through your mind only, of course. Who could've thought the last remaining being to remember my existence is a talking animal that towns from another world? But I'm just a fragment of the Solomon you remembered." Solomon, Interested

"O-Of course! How could we ever forget such an important figure like you? I still remember everything that the two of us have done. Your great help throughout the Singurlirtes, the laughs and sadness we shared throughout it all... All of that, I'll never erase from my memories. This means so much to me." Sonic replies

"I'm sure the Solomon outside this dream would be glad to know that he left a big impact on you and everyone inside Chaldea. Tell me, has Chaldea completed its mission?" Solomon ask

"A lot has happened ever since you left. Some good and some bad. Chaldea has grown a lot since our victory against Goetia. We're dealing with stronger enemies as well. Olga has gotten much happier since then. Everything has shaped up since that day. I wish you were here to witness all of that, Solomon." Sonic replies

"*Smiles* I wish, but you don't need my help on this new journey you're trying to overcome. You're enough to lead Chaldea to new heights and where it has never been before. Someone like myself shouldn't take away someone else's doing. All of this was because of you, Sonic. You saved Humanity once; now it's time to do it again." Solomon stated

"But... If it weren't for you... I wouldn't be here standing today... None of this would still be around if it weren't for the Servants of you who helped me. Because of you, Chaldea is still operational, and I'll admit that right now... You're way better than me, Solomon. Much more than I could ever think of..." Sonic, Saddened

"Did you forget the times you saved your friends from certain death? What about those who lost their lives that you promised you'd avenge? You made a promise that you'll fight and keep the Earth in good shape. And look where we are today; all of this was because of what you were doing, Sonic. It's not easy out there, but that doesn't stop you from fighting for a more significant cause. Do you wish to see Mash finally live in a place where she doesn't have to be worried anymore? Do you want to disappoint the Servants you grew bonds with?" Solomon asking

"... I just wish you were still here, Romani... I miss you... If only we had another way to defeat Goetia rather than you sacrificing yourself the way you did... But, there was no other option to do so... I'm sorry for everything..." Sonic, Guilty

"Don't apologize, Sonic. I never regretted my actions, and I never had second thoughts. I felt guilty keeping everything a secret from you. I should've told you much sooner, but I didn't know how to understand that idea. I showed everything when we were getting along. I wanted to show gratitude by giving you a small helping hand. Even if it didn't mean much then, I know it would've led you toward a better future for you and the rest of Chaldea." Solomon stated

"Solomon..."

"With that being said, Sonic, you must keep fighting no matter what happens. Everyone depends on you and counts on you as much as you do towards them. You've defeated multiple powerful enemies before and after I erased myself. I remember you telling me you've been fighting ever since you were a child. That's something you don't hear often, but that alone gives you enough experience to take on anyone you go up against. This is just another one of those adventures you said before, right?" Solomon said

"Yeah... Yeah, you're right. I needed someone to help me remember who I was—someone who fights to protect the world and humanity. As tricky as it may seem, I'll do my best to fight as much as possible. I won't give up that easily! I'll fight until this world, and I finally see peace! I promise I'll make it happen with the Servants' help!" Sonic promises

"Now that's the Sonic The Hedgehog I once remembered. Also, I have a favor to ask you while you're here, Sonic." Solomon asks

"And that is?"

"Please keep an eye on Mash Kyrielight. I know how much she misses me, and I feel disappointed that I left without saying my goodbyes. But please tell her that Romani Archman will always love and cherish his time with her no matter where he is. It'll be appreciated if you do so."

"Heh! I'll make sure she doesn't forget the person named Romani Archman. I'll also ensure that the name doesn't fade into darkness. I'll keep it alive as long as possible." Sonic replies

"Thank you, Sonic. Thank you for visiting me, even if I don't physically exist anymore. Good luck on your journey; I give my most considerable support to you." Solomon said
