Chapter 35: Killer Tunes
Naugus is going through his hideout to overhear Mina's music playing on the radio for this put him off. "Oh, that ghastly music, despite their choices of music are different. The results are the same, dreadful trash," Naugus said as he noted his world's version of Mina Mongoose was a world-famous rock star loved by people across Mobius but in comparison, this world's Mina was a Pop Idol who was well-known but not as famous.
"Still, her music is giving hope to the public. She needs to be stamped out. Fang, Bean, and Bark," he summons his minions to his location.
"What do you need boss?" Fang asked.
"I need you to go assassinate Mina Mongoose for me. She is becoming an annoyance; her unique powers manage to negate my dark magic. Track her down, wait for the right moment, and end her life," Naugus ordered.
"As you wish sir, never liked her music anyway. Too upbeat and retro for my taste," Fang said as Team Hooligan went off to prepare for their operation to kill Mina Mongoose.
Back in Mina's condo, she is in her closet which has a bunch of outfits as she is on her ladder trying to find something.
"I wonder where it is?" she questioned as she began to go up the ladder to the top looking for the box holding something important "Let's see," Mina said stroking her fingers along the boxes trying to find it as Sonic came into the closet.
He looks upward to check her progress but instead gets a very pleasant view. He peeks under Mina's nightgown getting a perfect view of her cotton blue panties formed around her round plump butt and curvy hips.

"This used to be my parents when they were younger," Mina said as she had a photo of her mother and father when they were both 18 years old.

"Momma would be flattered by that. She and my daddy were part of the city's defense forces with my mom being a combat medic and my father being a soldier. Sadly, he died when I was very young after Melody was born and now he can't see his two girls becoming strong young women," Mina said.
"That is a shame, he made two great daughters," Sonic said as Mina kissed him on the muzzle.
"Thank you, baby. They are just like us. Young, full of life, and filled with warmth and excitement," Mina said as Sonic grabbed her waist to gently pull her in.

"Yep, I was pretty small due to being born a bit earlier than expected. I was a little sickly baby then," Mina said as Sonic held her a bit tighter after that,

"It's okay, I am pretty healthy now and mom took good care of me," Mina said as she showed the space which had no photo there.
"What was there before?" Sonic asked as Mina looked quite upset by this.
"Oh, it was an old photo of me and Ash when we were a couple. It was the first relationship and it wasn't a happy memory. I was deluding myself to think it was okay but it wasn't," Mina said.
"Yeah, he always had a stick up his ass," Sonic getting angry with Ash and his deplorable acts of kidnapping and trying to brainwash Mina with a machine but got killed by Whisper in the process.
"Yeah, big understatement there. Despite I was with him, you were always on my mind. It was always you from the start and he didn't take it too well. I got the courage to break up with him and seek you out to find my true love with you," Mina said as Sonic rubbed his nose.
"Gee, getting sappy on me," he said as Mina giggled at this.
"But it's true, I love you for the longest time. With you, I come to my true self and be able to stand side by side with you as an equal partner. In battle and life," Mina said to kiss him on the lips.
"Glad to be of help babe, you can always count on me," Sonic said as Mina smiled at this sweet comment.
"I know I do," she said as they continued to another photo which was their first date in Station Square. "Look at this, this is the time when we first went out to Twinkie Park just after you saw my singing in that café you talked about," Mina said.
"Oh yeah, your voice was so beautiful and looked so lovely. I had to take you out on a date. No girl before you got my interest," Sonic said.
"Really?" she asked.
"Nope, you are truly special Mina Mongoose," Sonic said as Mina blushed in the face.
"Oh, I want to pounce on you and kiss all over you sweetheart," Mina said as she had a big dumb grin on her furry face.
"Down girl, we can have fun later. Speaking of which, this is a nice shot here," Sonic said as the photo showed Mina and Sonic by the Twinkle Park entrance. Mina is sporting a simple blue dress and green sneakers looking quite pretty.
"Indeed, it was but I remember when Amy found out you took me on a date," Mina said as she remembered pretty well Amy was not happy at first. She had to use her super-speed to run away from Amy and her Piko-Piko hammer.
"Yeah, Amy was so pissed. 'Sonic, why did you go out with this big-chested mongoose and not me.' Gee, thankfully we outran her and lost her. That was nuts," Sonic said as they were both laughing at that silly moment.
"Yeah, and all that screaming. Sounded like someone was getting murdered or something," Sonic said as Mina placed her head on his shoulder.
"I am happy that I have met you and become your girlfriend. It's a very fulfilling experience," Mina said.
"Glad you are enjoying the ride because it will be bumpier soon," Sonic moves his hand onto her ass to give it a nice squeeze making her yelp with delight.

Within a few days, excitement was brewing within Okina City as Tails, Sonic, and Cosmo were in the backstage area to oversee the concert. "This is so exciting," Cosmo said as Tails was working on a handheld device.
"What's that Tails?" Sonic asked seeing the tool look like a pistol.
"Multi-Purpose Combat Tool or MPCT. It can fire lasers, taser shots, holographic clones, anti-gravity mines, and a morph beam which is in prototype status," Tails said as Sonic was confused by the morph beam.
"What does that do?" Sonic asked.
"Oh, it can transform someone into a barnyard animal like a sheep or a chicken," Tails said.
"Man, that makes some easy chili dogs with all the things can we turn into meat," Sonic said.
"That sounds very cruel," Cosmo said.
"Yeah, but it's not working as I thought. It's only a thought experiment on how to convert one thing to another," Tails said as they looked at the holoscreen to prepare for Mina's performance.
Mina is in her room getting her outfit ready. "Alright, here we go," Mina said as she went out of her dressing room to go onto the stage to see tons of Human, Mobian, and Demi-Human fans filling out their seats in the vast room.
"Hello, Okina City. I am your humble Songoose to give you a wonderful singing experience," Mina said as the crowd roared with happiness to see their favorite pop idol on stage.
"We love you, Mina," the males were knocked back by her beauty and sexy outfit while females were envious of her beauty and angelic voice.
"Thank you for your support," Mina said as the lights around the stage glowed brightly to shine onto her. "I am going to sing one of my best songs Living in the City as the opener. Please enjoy the show," Mina said as she prepared for her singing act.
"Living in the city. You know you have to survive. Living in the city. You have to keep that dream alive. Where everything is free, can't you see?" Mina is pumping out her clear beautiful voice over the crowd to see them roaring with delight
"So many different things to see. There's no time. So many different things to do. But there's no time. So many people all around. So many feelings to be found. Living in a city where no one lets you down, oh yeah!" Mina raises her voice to such heights with her crowds getting into her rhythm as she moves her body to the music in the background.
Fang is on top of a balcony overlooking the huge room to grab his sniper rifle to prepare to fire Mina in the head. "I am in position," Fang said on the radio.
"We prepare the mech just in case you fail Fang," Bean said as Fang felt offended by this.
"I don't miss my shots," Fang said as he looked into his scope to see Mina looking bright and happy. "Time to die Songoose," Fang said.
"Living in the city. You know you have to survive. Living in the city. You have to keep that dream alive. Where everything is free, can't you see? So many things that we've been through. Can you feel it? So many things for us to do. But can you feel it?" Mina lets out a powerful surge of emotion in her voice as the crowd follows suit chanting her words in sync with her own.
Mina noticed something up in the distance seeing a glint from something. "Oh, crap. Sniper," Mina uses her swift reflexes to dodge the bullet from Fang's rifle as she returns fire with an energy rocket to strike the balcony causing an explosion to knock Fang on his ass.
The crowd is concerned and is going into a panic. "Okay everyone, some bad guys showed up. I need you all to go to the exits and head outside. The security staff will keep you safe," Mina warned as every fan of hers was going outside in an orderly manner. "Guys, Fang is here," Mina said as she performed a double jump with the Hover color power to get onto the broken balcony to rush after Fang.
"Yeah, we saw it. They are not getting away," Sonic said as he, Tails, and Cosmo ran toward the upper levels of the building to pursue Fang.
"Oh shit," Fang orders Egg Pawns and Egg Flappers to block Mina's pursuit but she easily cut them down with her powerful kicks reinforced by the Quake color power. She lobs several fireballs to destroy the robots to reduce them to burnt scrap.
Fang drops mines to slow her down as they put laser barriers which Mina stops to see they vaporize anything they touch. Bean and Bark are commanding Badniks to stop Sonic, Tails, and Cosmo. Egg Pawns, Egg Flappers, and E-2000s launch missiles and lasers. Cosmo twists a nearby plant to make it grow and make a wall of bark to block their assault.
Tails and Sonic slide under the bark wall with Tail using his new gadget to shoot laser bolts to blast away robots. Sonic uses Homing Attacks to rip targets apart. Tails fires a taser shot to stun an E-2000 while Sonic uses Light Speed Attack to cut the robot into pieces.
Cosmo breaks the bark wall down and sends out a barrage of wooden spikes to destroy hordes of robots leaving behind piles of metal and wires. "Those are not getting away with this," Sonic said as Tails shot down targets with laser bolts while stunning bigger enemies with Sonic and Cosmo taking them down.
A large Egg Hammer appears to swing its huge hammer with Cosmo pulling up several plants nearby to crash into the big robot to crush it against all the twisted bark.
"Such madness," Cosmo said as Sonic used a Spin Dash to slam into another Egg Hammer to knock it into a wall.
"That wizard ordered a hit on Mina but why?" Tails asked.
"He must have bad taste in music to do that," Sonic said.
"It must be her new Hyper-go-on energy that can negate his dark music with those black towers. He sees her as a threat," Tails said as they reached the courtyard to see Mina there as well.
"Gee, you are annoying Mongoose," Fang said.
"I am harder to kill than you think. I will not tolerate you hurting my fans," Mina said as Fang summoned a large mech to appear behind them.
"We are here to kill you via our boss's orders. Time to end you now," Fang said as they entered into a large gorilla mech called the Eggrilla.
"This is going to be annoying," Mina said as the four broke off for the big metal gorilla to land on the ground to unleash a huge shockwave.
"Let's go all out on it, all people around the area were secured," Tails said as he started to place mines onto the ground with Sonic, Mina, and Cosmo using their attacks to hit the mech. The Eggrilla unleashes tons of rockets with Cosmo lifting roots of trees to block the incoming explosives. Tails is using his hologram clones to distract the trio.
"What in the world, that fox turn into multiple copies of himself," Bean wondered as even their sensors were having a hard time telling the difference between the real one and hologram clones.
The Eggrilla pounds its fists onto the ground to unleash shockwaves to destroy all the clones but triggers anti-gravity mines to send it hovering helplessly in the air. Both Sonic and Mina use double spin dashes to strike at its chest to knock it into a tree. Cosmo made the tree grow and entomb the machine inside its bark.
Mina uses a Rocket + Burst Color Combo to set the tree tomb on fire with Sonic using his Blue Tornado to supercharge the flames in the vortex created by his super speed. The metal beast emits a powerful shockwave to disburse the flames and destroy the tree tomb holding it back.
Tails lob bombs onto the trees to use his device to trigger them to make the trees fall in the mech's path. Cosmo uses the fallen trees to merge with the mech's feet holding it in place with Mina going into her Drill form to drive into the chest of the metal beast to pierce through it.
She is on the other side as she peppers the monster mech's back with fireballs and lightning bolts. The Eggrilla surges with energy to knock everyone back with a shockwave to rush at Mina to punch her into red paste.
She makes herself into a heavy cube as the fist strikes her but causes no damage but instead makes the robot's hand break on contact. Cosmo summons flower buds which emit clouds of acid to make the legs very weak.
Sonic uses another Light Speed Attack to rip into the mech until it becomes unusable. Fang, Bean, and Bark fall onto the ground with Tails setting his device on stun to fire onto them. Suddenly the three criminals transform into chickens with the others looking surprised by this.
"Oh my, I mistakenly used the morph mode instead of the taser," Tails said as Bean, Bark, and Fang are now chickens.
"Well, that would make them non-threats now," Mina said.
"Yep and now the Wizard has fewer minions to use against us," Sonic said.
"Well, the concert was ruined by this," Cosmo said.
"I have to sort out my calendar about the new dates of my concerts. I will make up for this craziness," Mina said as Tails took the chickens to a police station for Naugus to receive the bad news.
Within the hidden base, Bunnie is very upset that her lover Bean is turned into a chicken. "Gee, I wanted cock but not like that," Bunnie is weeping as Naugus finds this annoying.
"Oh well, those fools were useless anyway," Infinite said as Conquering Storm agreed with this.
"Yes, they quite the morons. We would do without them," CS said as Sally didn't like her teammates being talked down like that.
"That is not fair, they know the risk of joining my team and they paid the price for it," Sally said as she went to comfort Bunnie to hug her.
"In any case, I need you two to start spreading my dark towers with these stones. Place them nearby cities and let the mutant animal take care of the rest," Naugus said as Conquering Storm was giving him a report.
"I have good news; I have a good lead. Due to my contact in Starline's inner circle, the doctor is researching old echidna ruins and his data is useful for finding Albion," Conquering Storm said as Naugus nodded his head.
"I know who you are talking about and she will be a useful idiot in our quest to gain the unstoppable forces," Naugus said as he prepared to put more dark towers in Downunda to make moves against Dr. Starline and his minions.
