Chapter 49: Xtreme Adventures Pt 3
Mina is flying through the huge catacomb as she is still in her Rainbow Mina form with her rainbow aura brightening up the cavern. "This place is amazing, I wish I could do some research here on these catacombs," Mina thought as she tried to find a way out of here for the statues within the catacombs to be live. "Gee, this now," Mina getting annoyed for the huge statues are trying to crush her in their grip but she fires beams of flames to cut them down as all the statues.
She launches energy cluster rockets from her palms to wreak several statues to turn them into ruins as she sees the opening to the outside. "Perfect," Mina said as she used Laser to ram through several living statues to exit out to feel the light into her fur. "Finally light on my fur," Mina feeling happy as she flies off to seek out Sonic and the others.
Back with Sonic, Tiara, and Amy who are on the outskirts of the capital city. Amy is very worried about Cream and Sticks. "Gee, what a mess. Both Sticks and Cream are captured by that crazy witch. I should have been more alert about my surroundings," Amy feels ashamed for her carelessness.
"Don't knock yourself down Amy, you don't know what this lady is capable of. None of us do but this human woman is obsessed with looking pretty. How vain can you be?" Tiara wondered.
"Yeah, all this trouble just to look good. She must be one hell of a battle-ax to try to steal the youth of girls," Sonic said.
"It's horrible, I hate women like that," Amy said for them to approach the edges of the city for them toss see the last two Zeti block their path.
"So; you are the only ones left," Sonic said.
"Yes and I will crush you with this new power," Zavok said as Zeena flipped her long hair with a devilish smirk on her face.
"I am going to show you girls what real beauty looks like," Zeena said as she is going after Amy and Tiara. She leaps onto a tower to begin using energy tethers to latch onto debris to toss it at the two women. Amy bashes away incoming debris with Tiara shooting ice blasts to break the debris into pieces.
"Amy, let's deal with this chump," Tiara said as she powered up to rush toward the Zeti woman.
"I will not go down so easily," Zeena uses her electromagnetism to take control of the defense systems within the city for the turrets to buzz with life and open fire on the duo. "The defense systems in this useless city are at my fingertips. I am going to make you two strains on the floor," Zeena leaps towards them with her energy whips.
Sonic is using his new elemental magic to fight off Zavok who is spitting fireballs to leave explosions in his wake but is missing Sonic. "Sonic Wind," he kicks the air to release a crescent of wind energy to clash with Zavok's fireball. He uses a Spin Dash to slam into Zavok but he holds his ground to pound Sonic into the ground.
"Get fried rat," Zavok opens his mouth to fire a close-range fire blast which does connect and sends Sonic flying across the woods. Thankfully he puts up a fire shield that took most of the damage for it breaks after one use.
"That was handy," Sonic said as he got hit in the chest by the big guy for Zavok uppercuts him into the air and slams his tail to knock him back down onto the dirt.
"Cringe before Zavok," Zavok is looming over Sonic but he dodges his blows with kicks him multiple times in the chest.
"Sorry, I already did. Water Twister," Sonic spins himself like a top with water surrounding him to slam into Zavok to repeatedly hit him multiple times. He then kicks with an explosive force of fire to shake Zavok a bit but Zavok lets out a mighty roar that stuns Sonic.
Zavok unleashes a beam of fire from his mouth with Sonic goes into a ball to use an Insta-Shield to allow him to bounce back his beam. Zavok knocks the beam back into a tree burning it to a crisp. Sonic kicks off a tree to curl up into a ball to be above Zavok.
"Hard Bounce," Sonic uses the power of the earth to harden his ball form to slam down hard onto Zavok. The Zeti catches him but feels the sheer weight of Sonic's attack with a crater forming underneath him. Zavok knocks Sonic into a tree and fires another fireball.
Sonic summons another barrier but the fire explodes even smaller fireballs to overwhelm him. He falls onto the grass to roll away from Zavok's fireballs using wind crescents to slash into the Zeti's body leaving bloody cuts behind.
"Fire Boost," Sonic launches himself at Zavok with the Zeti catching him but the flames are getting too hot for the Zeti to handle. He slams into Zavok's chest like a bullet to launch him into a tree to break it in half.
"This isn't over yet," Zavok said as the two engage further in their fight.
Amy and Tiara are defending themselves against the city's defense systems and the female Zeti. Zeena turns on a crane for it strikes Amy and pins her to a wall. "Amy," Tiara said as she is dodging Zeena's barrages of energy whip leashes. Tiara felt a sting on her arm for Zeena managed to land a hit that had a burning cut.
"Don't die on me, princess. You will be like your kingdom, dead and forgotten," Zeena said.
"What did you say?" Tiara asked her red eyes blazing with anger for this woman.
"You know what I said, I did some digging on this place. It used to be a well-known Mobian kingdom but now it was destroyed by natural disasters. Due to your weakness, this place has fallen," Zeena said as Amy noticed Tiara getting quite heated by this.
"Don't say things you don't understand," Tiara said as her frost-white hair flared up with power. Zeena twists herself like a top with spins with her energy whips for she slashes up several pillars and rubbles. Tiara fires an ice blast onto the crane with Amy smashing it to pieces with her hammer.
"Eat this," Amy leaps over Zeena to smash onto her head to cancel out her attacks. Tiara freezes the ground underneath Zeena to trip her up and kicks her several times. A final thrust kick knocks Zeena into a window to freeze the whole building with Amy smashing it making it fall on top of Zeena.
Zeena rushes out of the rubble to tackle Amy and uses her claws to slash into Amy ripping up her red dress and leaving behind bloody cuts. Amy is trying to block her strikes but the forces of the blows are staggering Amy. Zeena racks Amy's left leg drawing blood as she disarms Amy of her Hammer. She uses it to slam into Amy's leg to break it to disable it. "Damn it," Amy said as she gets hit in the chest to get launched into a building to knock Amy out of the fight.
"Amy!" Tiara shouted.
"Time to end this pink rat once and for all," Zeena leaps at Amy about to crush her head with her hammer.
"Oh, hell no," Tiara summons an ice wall to block her path to Amy as she throws herself to land a frost-infused kick into Zeena to freeze her back. "I am going to kill you shortly," Tiara said as she summoned an ice orb above her head. The orb is shooting a barrage of icy balls to track onto the Zeti with Zeena trying to evade but the projectiles were too fast for her to handle.
Tiara engages with her frost-laced kicks to freeze parts of Zeena's body slowing her down. "I will not be bested by some dumb cat," Zeena said.
"You were dead when you landed on this land and for hurting my friend Amy, I am going to enjoy putting you back in hell where you belong," Tiara said as she began to charge up her final attack.
"I would like to see you try," Zeena said rushing towards her at high speed.
"Diamond Dust," Tiara blows high amounts of frosty mist from her lips to slam into Zeena for her body begins to rapidly freeze until she is frozen solid in an instant. Tiara snaps her fingers for Zeena explodes along with the frost mist in a violent burst to instantly kill her. "Damn it, that was all I had," Tiara falls onto the ground putting too much energy into her final attack.
Witchcraft appears to see Zeena has turned into a ball of light to head for her tower. "Perfect, one more to go and I got the rest of the girls to give me their youth," Witchcraft said as she grabbed the two girls with Sonic noticing this.
"You old hag, leave them alone," Sonic rushes toward them but Zavok stops him by tackling him into a building making it collapse on top of them.
"You still have to deal with me, hedgehog," Zavok said as he allowed Witchcraft to get away to claim her prizes.
"Damn it, I am done with you Zavok," Sonic said as Zavok laughs at him.
"The feeling is mutual but I have one more trump card to play here. I will crush you and get my revenge on you," Zavok begins to power up with negative Chaos energy flowing into his body for he begins to grow in size. His horns become sharper, his muscles swell with veins and his eyes lose their pupils.
"Oh crap," Sonic said as Zavok enters his Giant State to become Giant Zavok for he is now over 50 feet tall. Zavok lets out a powerful roar that shakes the whole island and the ocean around them.
"I will crush you blue rat," Zavok bellowed as he fired a fireball. Sonic uses a fire shield but the force of the blast destroys and Sonic still takes damage. He summons pillars of flame to aim for Sonic for them to run from them but multiple pillars close on him to send him flying onto a tree.
"This power is insane, I wish I had the Chaos Emeralds right now," Sonic thought as a huge fireball headed for Sonic for his flame shield would be useless to stop it.
"Sonic," Mina came in to use Burst to let her take the hit to remain unhurt. "Baby, are you okay?" Mina asked to see if Sonic was a bit winded but okay.
"Yep, you were just in time. Amy and Tiara are caught by Witchcraft," Sonic said as Zavok fired another fireball but Mina kicked the fireball away for it destroyed a city block turning it into a crater.
"Sonic, you need to head for the tower to deal with Witchcraft and save the others. I will deal with the big guy here," Mina said.
"Okay babe, good luck," he gives her a thumbs up.
"You too," Mina said as she returned the gesture to fly into the air to engage Giant Zavok with Sonic running at top speed to head for the tower.
"You again, I will make you pay for putting me in jail. Yellow rat," Giant Zavok said as he delivered a punch to knock Mina into a building. Giant Zavok launches several fireballs to destroy sections of Coral City with Mina regaining her balance to fly away from the fireballs. Her Burst ability allows her to negate some of the damage but still get shaken up.
"Wow, he is getting stronger by the minute. Burst allows me to resist his fire attacks but his power growth is nuts," Mina thought as she summons a wall of stone to block the attacks.
She begins to rapidly launch tons of stone spikes to impale his chest. The spikes burst like grenades to shake Giant Zavok but Rainbow Mina enters a Flame Boost to slam into Giant Zavok to knock him several 100 yards. Giant Zavok stops Mina and knocks her back onto the ground and unleashes a beam of flames onto her.
Mina is taking damage but she unleashes a thunderous wave to cancel out the attack. She tosses explosive clones to hit his legs to make Zavok knell onto his knees. "Quake," Mina gather large rocks as big as houses to lob them into Zavok's face causing some damage.
"Not bad, with all this negative Chaos Energy for the Chaos Ring. I will keep on getting strong, you don't stand a chance," Zavok shoots fireballs with Mina creating clones to distract the big brute causing him to miss his shots.
"Don't underestimate me, strength isn't everything," Mina shot arcs of lightning from her hands to shock Giant Zavok. "Lightning + Laser," Mina gathers energy into her palms to thrust her hands forward to unleash a large lightning beam to clash with Giant Zavok's fire beam. The two attacks were trying to overpower the other but Mina managed to punch through Zavok's attack. Mina scores a hit on Zavok knocking him on his ass.
Giant Zavok sees Mina using a Boost attack but he punches her to send her flying across the island.
"Laser," Mina goes at the speed of light to slam into Giant Zavok's left arm as she is bashing into his body several times with Giant Zavok unable to hit her being too fast.
"Enough" Giant Zavok gathers power within his body and unleashes a dome of fiery energy to blow Mina away. Giant Zavok made a huge crater around him made by his Flame Dome attack. Giant Zavok creates tons of flaming towers to burn away the forest around them.
Mina uses her Ghost power to avoid getting burned by the raging flames around her. Mina creates clones to make Giant Zavok focus on other things. "I need to end this quickly, Cube + Quake," Mina turns into a solid cube to fall onto Giant Zavok's head shaking him up by the very heavy cube making him vulnerable. "Drill + Laser," Mina transforms into a yellow drill to go at the speed of light to aim right for Giant Zavok's head.
Before Giant Zavok can react, Mina gets the hit as her attack cuts right through his head destroying his brain to kill the monster instantly.
"You leave me no choice," Mina said as she was very tired from the fighting to land on top of a building to revert to normal. "Gee, I need to rest a bit before heading to help Sonic to save everyone," Mina thought as she saw Zavok's corpse disappear into a ball of light for a massive power is gathering at the tower. "That is not good," Mina said.
Witchcraft is pleased with this. The six stones are lighting up and converting their energies into a red crystal. "Perfect," Witchcraft said as she looked over to the pods to see the four girls. Amy, Sticks, Cream, and Tiara are getting their youthful energy turned into a green crystal. "Yes. The power and the beauty within these crystals. World Domination is in my reach," Witchcraft places the green crystal on her forehead while the red crystal is put onto her chest.
Sonic runs towards the tower for it emits a bright light that spreads across the island. "Oh crap, now what?" Sonic wondered as a woman appeared before him.
"You are too late, I have the power and beauty I deserve," Witchcraft said with a silky yet seductive voice. Sonic looks upon Witchcraft who is a young woman with snow-white skin, long blond hair, and bright blue eyes along with an angelic face. Her new black mini dress fits her tall curvy hourglass figure showing off her long legs, large bust, and wide hips.
"What the hell?" Sonic wondered.
"How do you like it Sonic, laying your eyes on the most beautiful woman in the world," Witchcraft said as Sonic brushed that comment off.
"Mina still looks way better," Sonic said as Witchcraft was annoyed she was being compared to that mongoose.
"How can you say that?" Witchcraft demanded as her vanity was on full display.
'She is not only beautiful but she is a good person who cares about others and has a heart of gold. You might be pretty now but you are still an ugly-hearted person," Sonic strikes a nerve in the witch by unleashing lightning bolts at the hedgehog.
"I will show you true beauty and power," Witchcraft is using her full might to draw power from the crystal in her chest. "I must thank you hedgehog. You were helpful to my plans," Witchcraft said as Sonic was confused by this.
"What are you talking about?" Sonic demanded as he used a Homing Attack to strike at the witch but she summons a barrier to block his attacks.
"This whole situation is a setup by me. I have drawn the Deadly Six here to act as my pawns to hold the power of the Chaos Rings. They were perfect vessels to make negative Chaos energy for my spell in making the crystal to house that power for me to draw on," Witchcraft uses her magic to move the earth around her as walls of stone try to crush Sonic.
"Not this again," Sonic runs up the wall to use his Diamond Dash to dig through the earth wall to burrow onto the top.
Witchcraft makes the walls explode making Sonic fall around debris as she is tossing fireballs and lightning bolts. Sonic is bouncing off the rocks to dodge and evade incoming magic attacks. He goes upward to try to get above Witchcraft.
'That is a mess up lady," Sonic said as some of the rocks around him were getting turned to dust.
"It's the perfect plan. Finding these Chaos Rings in a vault by Tiara's dead father was worth it. Also draining their youth to gain my beauty now is worth it as well," Witchcraft said.
"You spit on the graves of the people who once lived here," Sonic said as he was above the evil witch. "Got you now, Hard Bounce," Sonic comes down hard on the barrier but can't break it.
"How cute, you seem to be able to enhance your moves with magic but not able to cast spells," Witchcraft is blasting him with energy blasts to knock him to the ground.
Sonic managed to get back up to use his Light Speed Attack as she easily blocked it with her mystic barrier. Witchcraft grabs him with telekinesis to fling him across the island to land on the beach.
"Mina, go get the others and find a way off this island," Sonic said on the radio.
"Okay, but there was a bright light that washed over the island. What is happening?" she asked.
"I am currently fighting the witch. She has to gain crazy power and restore her beauty. You need to help the others," Sonic said.
"Okay, good luck Sonic," Mina said as she rested up enough for her to power up her body and run towards the tower to save the others.
Sonic is dodging incoming fireballs as Witchcraft turns the sand into glass and makes them explode. Glass shards cut into Sonic's body to weaken him further. Witchcraft creates quicksand to trap Sonic within it as he is unable to run making him sink even further.
"You don't have the power to defeat me Sonic, Sand Tomb," Witchcraft gathers all the sand to press into Sonic to be within a big coffin made of sand.
"Diamond Dash," Sonic hardens his body trying to escape but more sand is added and compressed making him unable to build speed. She closes her fist to make the sand tomb implode causing a lot of damage.
Sonic falls onto the sands with Witchcraft laughing at his suffering. "Oh, so sad," she said as she hovered over the ocean to begin her final spell. Sonic looks at his Crystal Ring has been destroyed during Witchcraft's Sand Tomb spell.
"Damn it, I can't beat her now," Sonic is trying to move but is badly injured with his body feeling on fire when he tries to move.
Witchcraft raises her finger to fire thin beams of flames to pierce Sonic's chest. Sonic has blood shooting out of his mouth as she keeps shooting the beams that litter him with holes. He collapses onto the sands with it soaked with his blood.
"This is getting boring now, I am going to end this. I can't wait to see the look on that dumb Mongoose's face when I kill her little boyfriend," Witchcraft said as she gathered dark energy for the whole ocean to warp around her as the water was taking form into a large serpent dragon.
"I am not going to die yet," Sonic said as he felt something deep within the broken Crystal Ring reacting to his feelings of courage.
"All words, now witness the power of my magic at its maximum," Witchcraft has summoned a massive serpent dragon made of water for it encircles its mistress.
Mina looks over to see a massive dragon casting a shadow on the whole island. "This power is insane, Sonic," Mina is getting worried about this for she has not fully recovered from her last fight with Giant Zavok.
"I will not yield to you hag," Sonic said as he was barely able to move. The Crystal Ring turns into an orb of energy to merge with Sonic.
"After I kill you, I will kill that mongoose of yours and I will enjoy every moment of it. Water Dragon Destruction," Witchcraft unleashes her water dragon for it lunges at Sonic to connect its target. Sonic is overwhelmed by the spell ripping his body apart.
"Sonic!" Mina screams for Sonic to widen his eyes for a surge of power is rising within.
"I will not let you hurt her or anyone else," Sonic lets out an explosion of mystic energy which shields him from the powerful spell.
"What the hell?" Witchcraft is confused as a lot of magical energy is coming out of Sonic. He managed to deflect the water dragon away to hit the ocean. The explosion rocks the whole area with Mina sensing Sonic's energy is quite amazing.
"Gee, you always do this," Mina's worry melts away as she goes forward into the tower to head for the chamber where the girls are located.
Sonic has recovered back to 100% as he swiftly strikes Witchcraft to destroy the crystal on her forehead. All the youthful energy she gathered from the four girls returned to the others. Witchcraft's beauty melts away to return to being an old hag.
"You bastard, my beauty," Witchcraft raged as Sonic has a cocky smirk on his face.
"Going back where they belong," Sonic said as Witchcraft looked on with fear to see Sonic had red triangle-shaped runes appearing all over his body. Sonic's eyes went green to bright blue and he is sporting a white energy aura around his body.
"What the hell are you?" Witchcraft demanded.
"This is Mystic Form or you can call me Mystic Sonic," Sonic sees Witchcraft firing orbs of water with Sonic easily batting them away.
"Fire Bullets," Mystic Sonic cast a spell that has him launching tons of small fire orbs to pepper the witch. She uses her mystic barrier but it breaks and she is overwhelmed by the magical onslaught "Fire Boost," Sonic launches himself to slam into the witch to knock them back into the forest.
"Maelstrom," Sonic summons a tornado to entrap the witch within as the razor-sharp winds cut into her body. "Flare Lance," Sonic calls down a flaming spear to slam into the tornado to mix into it to superheat it tearing the witch apart.
The flaming twister burst apart with Sonic summoning water bubbles to lob them into the Witch to explode several times. This rapid assault is weakening the witch who is surprised by his power spike.
Witchcraft fires a large energy beam at Sonic and he blocks it with a magic barrier of his own. Mystic Sonic conjures several rock spikes to impale into the witch several times for them to explode leaving her a bloody mess.
"I have the power of the Chaos Rings, I can't be beaten," Witchcraft said as Sonic used a Light Speed Attack to strike at her chest to destroy the crystal to free the 6 Chaos Rings from her grip. "No," Witch fears her end is near.
"You will not hurt anyone again," Sonic absorbs the 6 Chaos Rings to empower his Mystic Form even further than before. He creates four magical orbs around him with each one of Water, Wind, Earth, and Fire. He focuses all four on one single point in his palm to aim at the evil witch. "Spiritual Ray," Sonic unleashes combined beams of the four elements to become a bigger beam.
Witchcraft tries to fight back but gets overpowered and sent into the ocean to get vaporized by Sonic's magic spell.
"It's over," Sonic deactivates his new Mystic Form to return to normal to see he has fully healed. "Cool, time to get to Mina and the others," Sonic said as he ran over to feel he had gotten stronger than before. "Gee, these Chaos Rings gave me one hell of a boost in power," Sonic said as he rushed into the tower.
Mina managed to free the girls from their prisons to see they had returned to normal. "Mina," Cream said to give her a big hug.
"Sonic defeated the witch and now your youthful energies have returned to you," Mina said as Sticks gave her a high five.
"Good work, our mission is complete here," Sticks said as Amy looked quite sad by this.
"I can't believe I got caught like that," Amy feeling disappointed that Zeena beat her butt pretty badly. "I need to get stronger if I want to be a better leader for Team Rose but we managed in the end," Amy said as she saw her team survive and that was important to her.
"Good to see you, Amy," Mina said as she hugged her to feel grateful she was okay. They see Sonic coming into the chamber for all the girls feel grateful for saving them.
"No problem girls but I managed to absorb the six Chaos Rings," Sonic said as everyone noticed Sonic had gotten a lot stronger.
"Well better you and then that crazy witch. At least my father's creations can be used for good by someone like you. We need to head for the airport, I beg we can find a plane there," Tiara said as they all headed back to the capital city.
"We have gotten a lot stronger since this adventure against Naugus happened," Mina said as Sonic nodded his head.
"Yep and we are going to need it to beat him or any other threats out there," Sonic said as Mina was curious about the comment the witch made about her youthful energy being very high.
"We should go to Tails and get them to check out. I want to know how this is all affecting us," Mina said as Sonic wanted to know himself since he was feeling much stronger and faster than before.
"I would like to know too but the mission here is complete. The Deadly Six and Witchcraft are gone for good," Sonic said.
"Those evil monsters will keep going, so what choice do we have," Mina said.
"Yeah, I unlocked the Mystic State," Sonic said as Mina noticed the spike in the power she sensed on the beach.
"Yes, I noticed. It's impressive like you always do," Mina said being awestruck by his growth for she expected nothing less.
They managed to find a plane at the abandoned airplane for it was in working condition. "The witch must have used this to get supplies," Tiara said as Sonic and Mina got into the pilot seats to fly off the island with their mission completed.
