Chapter 53: Eyes of the Dragon Pt 2
Minerva is watching over Iron Nicole who is now in charge of the defenses of Snively's stronghold but Minerva is over the data on the cloning process. "Okay, looks like Snively has all his eggs in one basket," Minerva said as she began to terminate all the clones within their glass tubes. He mixes a lethal liquid into the pods to weaken all the clones.
Minerva went into the database to look over the DNA code from Mina to begin purging it from the files. "Now he can't make any more clones of me," Minerva said as she focused on killing off all the Mother Wisps in the cages to let them die in peace.
"Now that is done, time to pay Nicole a visit and fix her up," Minerva said as she went to the other room to begin the second part of her plan to ruin Snively.
Elsewhere Sonic and the others are on top of the mountain to see the city down below as well. "Wow, the Dragon City is beautiful and looks like home except more traditional," Mina said as they saw the biggest city on the landmass.
"There is the castle in the middle of the city," Espio points out with Liz hanging Sonic the binocular to zoom onto the castle which looks like a samurai castle in a futuristic style for Snively's and Regina's tastes.
"There fortress where they enslave the whole nation and it's heavily fortified. After what happened, it's going to be on guard. Espio we need to go into plan B," Liz said.
"What is plan B?" Tails asked.
"We need to meet with our contact within the city. They are with the rebels here and we need them to go into that castle undetected," Espio said.
'Yes, let's go and keep close to us. Put these on," Liz hands them cloaks and masks to hide their appearances.
"There will be cameras and spy drones everywhere," Espio said for them to go into the city to enter via a secret entrance to avoid the Swat Bots and Hover Units. They go onto the street with Mina is amazed by the place.
"Wow, this place has so many regional structures here. It shows it's the oldest city in the region," Mina said to see the red arcs near a shrine with a large dragon statue.
"There should be a bar nearby, we can meet our contact with the rebels here," Espio said as they arrived at the bat doors with Sonic stopping Tails and Cosmo.
"Not for kids," Sonic said as he pointed to the place not allowing anyone under 18 to come inside.
"Okay, just be careful in there," Tails said as Sonic patted him on the head.
"Come on Tails, it's me," Sonic said as Sonic, Mina, Espio, and Liz entered the bar with Cosmo and Tails waiting outside. They noticed several Swat Bots walking around in the streets.
"Tails, let's go into this shop and blend in with the crowds," Cosmo said as they entered the clothing boutique.
The group goes inside the bar for Mina sees a bunch of men drinking to their heart's content for she feels their eyes trained on her. Their drunken eyes are drawn to her curvy frame and her F-cup chest as they sit down at a table.
A Mobian waiter comes in to ask them for an order. "Hello; you people don't look familiar around here?" the waiter asked sounding suspicious.
"Well, I am here to ask about the Rebellion," Liz said.
"What for?" the waiter asked sounding more suspicious.
"I am looking for the resistance to help us on a mission," Espio said as the man's face quickly turned to sympathy.
"Ask the barkeeper there to give you info," he said.
"Thank you, sir," Liz said as she went off to the next bar nearby. She gets into the bar to see a bunch of thugs drinking in the corner but they were so drunk that they didn't notice her. "Sir, I need some information," she said to the barkeeper behind the corner.
"What do you need little missy?" the old human male asked.
"Do you know a man named Razor?" she asked.
"Oh yes, he is over there," he said as a tall Mobian wolf was enjoying his meal to see the group coming his way.
"Liz and Espio, good to see you again. I see you brought some friends," Razor said as he knew who Sonic and Mina were. "Oh, the fighting couple of people, I hear about your work against Robotnik. It's pretty interesting stuff," he gives them both a handshake.
"Who are you supposed to be?" Mina asked.
"I am one of the leaders of the resistance here in the city. Luckily there are people here who sympathize with our cause," Razor said.
"So do you got a plan to get us inside the castle?" Sonic asked.
"After a battle near the mountains, Snively has increased security around the castle, and will be very hard to get inside unless we can cause a distraction for you guys," Razor said.
"Okay, what do we do?" Mina asked.
"We are going to need to awaken the people and riot in the streets. Once this happens, our rebel cells will move in and take over sections of the city. Then you all go in and finish them off. Ending this struggle in a fatal yet swift swoop," Razor said.
"Pretty clean, I like it. What do you need?" Espio asked.
"Well, we need to secure a broadcast station to display all the crimes Snively and Regina have done to get the people to rise. Also, we need a rallying cry to motivate the people when this happens," Razor said as he showed a disk drive that has the data of all of Snively's crimes.
"Where did you get that?" Espio asked.
"We got a contact within that Needlenose's castle. She managed to collect data and it's very disturbing," Razor said as he slipped it into his datapad to show them a video of innocent people being tortured by Snively and Regina in their labs.
Three Mobians were in a chamber as they were being gassed by a toxic gas which made their fur fall off their bodies and their skin have a nasty grey color. Their eyes are bleeding through them and dripping onto the white floor.
"Please make it stop," the Mobian begged for mercy for the two humans looked on with pure joy and malice.
"You dumb dirty animal; you will be used to push the furtherment of science. Shut up and take it," Snively presses the button as the Mobians' bodies start to fall apart to break down and melt onto the floor. Nothing but guts, bones, and goo are left of their bodies.
"Too bad for them to go out too early. They could be better test subjects," Regina said.
"Yes but we have more subjects to play with," Snively said as they both laughed at the piles of goo who were former Mobians.
Razor finishes the video with Sonic and the others being very upset by this. "There is much more than that on the data disk," Razor said.
"Those two are unbelievable, rotten to the core," Sonic said.
"They need to be stopped," Mina said.
"I know, this is insane. I can't believe this all didn't get leaked out to the public yet," Liz said.
"Those two are computer wizards. Keeping the internet here lock and key with a big o' firewall but with that broadcast station. We can be showing it on all the screens within the city and show them the truth," Razor said.
"When can we get started?" Mina asked.
"Right, we need to secure the broadcast station undetected," Razor said.
"I can do it with my special powers," Mina said.
"Oh cool, I will show you the location on the GPS on your phone. Come on, we need to get into position to capture the broadcast station," Razor said as Mina headed off to the chosen location to execute the mission.
Elsewhere Minerva goes to Nicole's room where her drone is stored for Nicole is still corrupted by the Iron Queen's magic. "I need to go into the drone unit and destroy the link Regina made with Nicole," Minerva grabs a digitizer to make herself into code to enter into Nicole's drone.
Minerva manages to enter cyberspace into the drone as she sees the corrupt Iron Nicole sitting on a chair. "How did you manage to get into my drone's systems?" Nicole asked.
"I used a digitizer to create a digital avatar to enter into this cyberspace. I am going to free you from Regina's control," Minerva said to show focus on confronting Nicole.
"Pretty clever, I will not go down so easily," Iron Nicole is making firewalls to protect herself with Minerva entering her Rainbow Form to engulf her blade with rainbow Hyper-go-on energy.
"Let's go Lynx," Minerva can see several boxes around cyberspace that pulse dark energy. "Okay, I need to destroy those boxes to free Regina's control over her," Minerva flies towards the first box with Nicole trying to stop her with firewalls.
"Drill," Minerva goes into her Drill form and flies through several firewalls to break them down with ease. She takes out the first of seven boxes to free Regina's control as Nicole is feeling weakened by this.
"You are not allowed to be here," Nicole is trying to create fields of destruction with Minerva leaping over it as strands of twisted code are trying to entrap Minerva. The cloned mongoose is flying through the firewalls and code strands with Nicole unleashing storms of shard pieces.
Minerva is deflecting away from the shards with her sword but she gets nailed several times for the shards explode to knock her into the air. She lobs a fireball to hit the box and destroy it leaving about five left to free her from Regina's control.
"Prepare for deletion clone," Nicole said as she lifted several towers of code trying to crush Minerva.
"Not so fast, Burst," she is burning down the codes with beams of flames for several strands of code slam into Minerva. She lights her body with flames to burn away the code. "Burst + Laser," Minerva unleashes a huge beam of flames from her hands to slam into Nicole. "Let me help you, damn it," the clone mongoose uses a Laser to slam into the corrupted Iron Nicole at the speed of light to knock her into a wall.
She is blasting two boxes to leave three left to free Nicole as the AI is getting upset to unleash her full power over cyberspace. She lifts a huge block to slam into Minerva to knock her to the floor as she empowers her blade for Nicole to lob the cyber cube.
"Eat this," Minerva slices the cube in half to launch herself into Nicole grabs onto her throat to begin zapping her, and tosses her onto the ground. She powers up with her Rainbow State and gathers Plasma into her hands to weaken Nicole with powerful blasts.
Nicole summons spikes from the floor trying to block the clone's pursuit as she leashes out electro discs from her hands to slice through the spikes. Nicole lifts a wall of code to block her attacks with Minerva blasting a close-by cube to leave only two cubes left to save Nicole.
Nicole covers the two cubes with domes to protect them from Minerva's attacks with Nicole creating golems out of code to attack Minerva. The cloned mongoose flies in with slashes and kicks down multiple golems to head for the sixth cube.
"Laser + Drill," Minerva lines up her attack and pierces multiple golems including the dome to destroy the sixth cube to leave one left.
"No, I will protect the Iron Queen's will," Iron Nicole unleashes waves of energy to crack the code around them.
"You don't believe that she is controlling you and I am going to set you free," Minerva said as she created several clones around her to cover her heading for the last cube.
"No," Iron Nicole tries very hard to block her pursuit but Minerva is mowing down any defenses Iron Nicole set up.
Minerva enhances her sword with Quake to increase the density of the sword making it extra sharp. "I said no," Nicole grows in size trying to punch her but Minerva flies in and slices up the giant Nicole to greatly damage her as she destroys the cube to be able to release Nicole from the Iron Queen's control.
"Wake up Nicole," Minerva exits out of the digital world to reappear in the lab. She reboots the drone and Nicole is fully back to normal.
"Oh, thank you so much for helping. I can't control myself," Nicole said as she showed her holographic form sporting her old look again.
"I didn't do it for charity. I need your help to get my plan in motion to put that Needlenose in his place," Minerva said.
"You mean Snively, he is quite rotten indeed," Nicole said as Minerva looked disgusted by the mention of his name.
"You have no idea," Minerva said as Nicole checked on all the data she collected within Snively's database.
"I think I do; I looked over the project and saw some disturbing things about you and the other clones. It's awful, this man is beyond wicked and has done horrible things to you," Nicole said.
"I don't need your pity; I need your help. You will act as a double agent and will undermine their operations within their castle. Now fix up your systems, so you will be immune to her Techno Magicks," Minerva said as Nicole hardened her systems so she could resist Regina if she tried it again.
"I already got it covered," Nicole said as she looked at the clone with confusion. "You do hate Mina?" Nicole asked as Minerva sighed at this.
"She is the reason I am even here to be turned into a weapon by a madman with an ego problem. Due to her being the first subject to bond with the cloned Mother Wisp. He went crazy with the cloning and I was made after hundreds of failed clones before," Minerva said as Nicole noticed strange readings with the clones in their tanks.
"They are dying, you did this?" Nicole asked sounding shocked by this.
"Better for them to be dead and alive to be his playthings. Besides I managed to purge all the data on Mina's DNA, so he can't clone her anymore or more Mother Wisps for that matter," Minerva said as Nicole looked through the videos of all the Mina clones suffering greatly under Snively and Regina before dying terrible yet humiliating deaths.
"I understand perfectly, those two humans are so cruel. Killing the clones would be an act of mercy," Nicole said as she had chills thinking about a video showing one Mina clone getting eaten by a horde of rats.
"Stay in your Iron Nicole disguise and keep me posted. We are going to light a fire under that midget's asshole," Minerva said as she walks away with Nicole back to normal and undermining Snively's operations from within.
Elsewhere Mina lands on top of a roof to work with the rebel group to take over a broadcast station which is guarded by Swat Bots and Hover Units. "I am in position Razor," Mina said on the comlink.
"Good, ready to be a Freedom Fighter pop star?" Razor joked.
"Freedom Fighter huh, that sounds cool," Mina goes into her Ghost State to begin targeting robots by tagging enemies with energy marks. She appears at the door to see 7 robots destroyed by her moves. She slips inside to see more robots patrolling the area to tag all of them to destroy them easily.
"Good, I didn't trip any alarms," Mina said as she called Razor and the others. "The broadcast station is secured," she said.
"Pretty good work Popstar," Razor said as his rebel troops checked out the station. "Settle in, tomorrow we are going to rock Snively's world," Razor said as the rebellion is planning something big with the fate of the Dragon Kingdom hanging in the balance.
