Chapter 55: Eyes of the Dragon Pt 4
Snively goes to his labs with the ninjas raiding the place with his Swat Bots trying to fight them off. Snively looks over his datapad to see something odd has happened. "Wait a minute, what happened to my clones? They are useless now, those dreadful ninjas. Also, my DNA data is purged as well. They are ruining my pet project, I only have Minerva left," Snively said as he didn't know that Minerva put lethal liquid into the pods to mercy kill them to prevent any more clones like her from being made again along with destroying the data.
"Serves you right Snively," Minerva said as the chaos overwhelmed the castle for she noticed on the cameras that Mina and Sonic along with the rebels were coming inside. "Time to confront Mina, test my skills before getting out of here. In the heat of battle between her, I seek purpose and find something within myself to push forward," Minerva thought as a dark power welling within her very being to head into the halls to confront Mina.
Sonic, Tails, Mina, Espio, Liz, Cosmo, and Razor are leading the assault on the fortress with rebel forces taking down Swat Bots and other robotic units. "Time to smash this place for good and take down the bald little man for good," Razor said as they engaged the enemy but Mina got hit by a Hover with a flashing light slammed into her to knock her deeper within the castle.
"Mina," Sonic said as Mina flopped onto the floor to be far away from the others to hear the battle going on.
"I have been waiting for you Mina Mongoose," Minerva said as she was already in her Rainbow State to lob fireballs at Mina. She is flipping around avoiding the fiery blasts as she launches a lightning bolt with Minerva using her Lightning color power to negate the attack with a thunder shield.
"Gee, don't you quit," Mina transforms into Rainbow Mina to summon blades of lightning from her wrists to clash with Minerva's empowered sword for them to dodge, block, and slash at each other.
Mina kicks her into a wall as Minerva spins away from Mina's slashes and slams her through the wall using a large sonic blast made from her Rhythm power.
Mina appears in a cloning room to see pods filled with dead Mina clones. "Oh goodness, what happened to them?" Mina looks horrified by all the dead clones lying in their pods.
"I mercy killed them, using lethal liquid to kill them in their sleep. All clones had been destroyed leaving me the only one left," Minerva said as Mina looked on to get back onto her feet to float into the air.
"You killed them all, why did you do that?' Mina asked.
"Do you think it's a good idea to have Super Sonic-level clones who are deeply damaged mentally and raging at the world?" Minerva asked.
"Good point but still," Mina said as she avoided Minerva's attacks by flying away. She gathers a big orb of flames and tosses them at the clone but she kicks them away to leave holes nearby.
"Even your DNA data has been wiped out. More clones will never be made, so it's just you and me. Just how I like it," Minerva said as she swiftly tackled Mina to grab her head and toss her into the air. She blasts her several times with Plasma orbs to hurt Mina but she manages to recover by using Laser to slam into Minerva to knock her onto the floor.
"What do you want?" Mina asked as she used her lightning blades with Minerva to clash against them with her metal blade. Mina ducks under a slash of her blade kicking it out of her hands. Mina is using her lightning blades to swing her arms to cut into Minerva several times. She delivers a powerful mule kick to knock Minerva into a wall.
"I want to go my own way and lead by my own rules. I have all this power and you never use it to its full potential. I can do a lot of damage with it," Minerva said.
'You want to be a bad guy?" Mina asked as they clashed again but Minerva shoved her away to unleash a powerful flare laser. Mina puts up a flaming aura but gets overpowered by Lightning bolts to disable it and gets hit by the flare beam knocking her onto the floor.
"I will do what I want good, bad, or otherwise. Besides, this whole operation is my idea," Minerva said as Mina was confused by this.
"Wait a minute, you were the one that leaked that video to the rebels?" Mina asked.
"Yep, and it went off as expected. Snively overestimates his abilities, I have been playing him this whole time," Minerva said.
"You played him?" Mina asked as Mina fired lightning bolts to strike the ceiling to make the debris fall on fall of the clone.
"Yep, and It was pretty fun screwing him over. I am going to laugh when he finds out," Minerva sporting a cruel smile to enjoy seeing the bald little man suffer.
"Gee, I can help you. You are like my sister," Mina said as she tried to give her a hand but Minerva passed it up.
"You kidding me right, the reason why I am even in this mess is because of you. Besides, I got my plans to go on, and I will reach my full potential without your help," Minerva said as she kicked Mina while slashing her with her sword.
The clone shoves her hand onto the floor to emit a field of electricity to shoot pillars of electricity trying to hit Mina. She flies around the pillars to tackle the clone and kicks her several times to then knock her into the air.
"Rocket + Bomb," Mina releases several cluster energy rockets with Minerva using Ghost to become intangible avoiding getting hit by the powerful energy attacks. Both of the Rainbow State Mongooses still have enough strength to keep going in their drawn-out fight. "What are you talking about?" Mina asked as she phases through her sword thrust and kicks her into a set of crates.
"This world is busted now, so many assholes like Snively and Regina running around causing chaos in the world. With my powers, I will use them to bring order to this world. I have gotten some interesting data from Snively's data archives which can be useful in my quest," Minerva said as Mina was deeply concerned by this.
"You want to rule the world?" Mina asked as Minerva's body was flaring up with dark power.
"Why not, it's ruled by a bunch of morons anyway. We need a new chance in leadership and with my power, I will shape it to my will," Minerva said as she swung her sword for Mina to hit her Hover slam a fireball into her chest to knock her into a wall.
"Are you insane, you will be corrupted by the power? I never use my powers to dominate others because it's like a drug. Keep taking it and you will be drunk on it," Mina said as Minerva's body flared up even more power.
"You are not my mother or sister. I need to be better than you, not just in raw power but in deep ambition. I can't do what you do to be able to use your powers to inspire others and make them go beyond their normal limits. I walk my path to use my powers to dominate and control this world twisting it into another direction," Minerva said as her body was twisted by Minerva's dark powers.
"What is this?" Mina wondered as Minerva grinned at her.
"You didn't use Frenzy did you, to let all your negative feelings fuel your power through your body. I will not hold back anymore, Frenzy," Minerva unleashes all the negative feelings she has built up from her time under Snively and Regina. A huge burst of energy overflows out of her body with Mina being shaken by this new level of power which surpasses her Rainbow State's raw power.
Minerva's Rainbow State is being twisted by her dark power as her spiky rainbow-colored hair has become shades of purple and black, her fur has gone from silver to dark purple, her eyes are acid yellow and her rainbow aura has become deep purple.
Minerva is drinking in all the negative emotions fueling her new more powerful form. "How are you liking the new Nega State Mina, I think it suits me just fine. I am a victim no longer and I take things into my own hands," Minerva aka Nega Minerva said.
Mina is feeling nervous as she is powering up despite she is not strong enough to defeat her now. "This is not good," Mina thought as they continued the fight with Nega Minerva has a big edge over Rainbow Mina.
Elsewhere Sonic, Espio, Liz, Tails, and Cosmo help the rebels get closer with Swat Bots and cyber ninjas fighting each other causing mass chaos. "Gee, this isn't good," Tails said as he tossed an EMP grenade to disable the robots and cyborg ninjas.
Cosmo tosses an acid bud into an Assault Walker to see it melt into the pile of scrap. Liz is using her sword to chop and slash into robots and cyber ninjas. Espio is tossing explosive stars to blast apart the incoming Swat bots.
"Guys, are you there?" Nicole is contacting them as her drone is flying towards the lab area.
"Nicole, are you okay?" Sonic asked.
"Yes, the clone managed to free me from the Iron Queen's control," Nicole said as she went to the lab to find the Chaos Emerald to put it into the drone and replace it with a fake gem to fool the madman. "This should work," Nicole said as she left the room via a vent.
"Cool, just our luck. At least you are okay Nicole," Tails said.
"Yes, I let in the cyber ninjas inside to become a huge distraction," Nicole said.
"Cool, we will meet back up soon," Sonic said as he kicked a Swat bot into a wall to see it break apart.
"Damn it, the rebels. We need to collect the Chaos Emerald before they reach it," Conquering Storm said on the radio as she headed into the main lab before the rebels to see Snively in his battle mech equipped with the fake Chaos Emerald.
"So, we got rats in my castle," Snively powers up his human-shaped mech for him to unleash several missiles to hit Conquering Storm for she disappears in the dust storm made by the projectiles. "My new Hedge Beater will take me to victory," Snively said as he went into the hallways to begin ripping through enemies with Gatling guns and missiles.
Snively tackles the group to knock them into a huge room as he fires a barrage of projectiles to lock onto Sonic himself. "I am going to kill you hedgehog and do what my uncle failed to do," Snively said as
"What failing like always," Sonic mocks him as Snively is not having it with him.
"I have the power of a Chaos Emerald rodent, you can't beat me and I will avenge my beloved," Snively said as he brought up the energy shield to protect him.
Sonic goes into his Mystic State as he blasts the shield with a beam of water to knock it off with ease. Snively is confused by this as Sonic uses a Light Speed Attack to rip up the mech suit with ease.
"No! You can't do this to me," Snively said angry with Sonic frying the mech suit with ease. The mech explodes with Snively falling onto the floor. "How I used a Chaos Emerald and I got overpowered," Snively said as Nicole appeared to switch from her Iron Nicole quiet back to her normal form to wear her wrapped purple dress and bare feet.
"I switched it out and you used a fake one," Nicole said as Snively was beyond furious at this.
'You little bitch, you tripped me," Snively said as Espio is about to draw his dagger to kill him but Snively holds off. "Not so fast, I still have an ace in the hole," Snively said as he contacted Minerva who was in her Nega Form beating up Mina pretty badly.
Minerva empowers herself every further to slam her foot into Mina's chest making her spit blood onto the floor. She slashes her several times and fires a dark fireball to slam into Mina causing some damage.
"Gee, her power is overwhelming. Unlike anything I have seen before," Mina thought as she is trying to keep up even with her Rainbow Mina form. "Laser + Drill," Mina speeds at Minerva for her to easily catch Mina's drill form like it was nothing and kicks her onto the floor.
"Eat this," Minerva unleashes a beam of dark flames to tear up the floor. Mina tries to fly around the beam but she gets hit with a Plasma attack to stun her. The dark flare beam hits her pretty hard knocking her into a wall as Minerva pours bolts of black lightning to zap Mina further damaging her.
"Oh crap," Mina uses her Ghost form to avoid taking more damage to swiftly head for Nega Minerva.
"Not so fast," Minerva uses Hover to catch Mina to make her float helplessly in the air. "Burst," Minerva emits her blade with black flames to unleash a ton of flaming crescents to cut and burn into Mina several times over. "This is the end, Void," Minerva tosses a powerful gravity well to slam into Mina to be ripped apart by the powerful gravity forces.
Mina screams in pain as the black hole implodes to toss Mina onto the floor to return to normal. She is now a bloody mess with Minerva putting her blade onto her neck having her at Minerva's mercy.
"You win, your form is powerful," Mina said as Minerva had a big grin on her face.
"Yes, our Rainbow Forms are similar to Super Forms in terms of power but my Nega Form is similar to a Hyper Form when it comes to raw power," Minerva said as Mina's eyes widened that the gap between them was that much.
"Insane," Mina said as she was defeated with her body bruised and bloodied while her adventurer outfit was torn up from the battle.
"Yes my dear, that was amazing. I hit the jackpot with this one, now I need you to execute her and come over here to deal with our guests," Snively said. Minerva hates to follow his orders and despite beating Mina, her victory feels hollow since Mina has something more that she wants as well.
Minerva pulls her blade away as she shoots a wave of energy to heal up all of her wounds. "What?" Mina wondered as Snively was dumbfounded by this.
"I gave you an order, kill her now!" he demanded.
"How about no, you lost when you created me. I set this whole thing up to make you fail. The leaking of those lab experiments to the rebels, me killing all your clones and DNA data, and taking all your robot designs. You lost Snively and I am going to enjoy you dying," Minerva said as Snively was beyond angry at this.
"You bitch, I made you and you do this to me?" Snively cursed her name.
"Yeah, I got my plans. See you in hell," Minerva cuts off the comlink for her to head off. "Take care of the rest, I am out of here. Once I find my path in living, we will meet again. Smell you later Songoose," Minerva flies out of the window to leave Mina more confused than ever before.
"I don't get her; she has all that power and she is going to use it against innocent people. Once we deal with Naugus, we need to stop her next time she makes a move," Mina said as she headed back to the others.
Sonic, Nicole, Cosmo, Tails, Liz, and Espio loom over the broken man who has no more options left. "Shit, this is all for nothing. Get away from me," Snively begins to crawl away like the coward he truly is.
Espio goes up to him to stab him in the neck to slit his throat. "Both of them are dead now, our mission here is complete," Espio said as the rebels cheered for the Dragon Empire is no more as the tyrants are now dead.
"Hot damn, this is so good. We won, thanks to you guys," Razor said as Nicole shut off the signals for all the Swat Bots, and all enemy robots were shut down to free the region from Snively's and Regina's control.
"Well, we have our third emerald and now we need to secure the others from that crazy wizard," Nicole said as Mina sped over to hug Sonic.
"Sonic, we did it. We won," Mina said kissing him on his muzzle.
"Yeah we did, what happened with the clone?" he asked.
"She is very odd. She let me go and healed me to spite Snively, she disappeared to parts unknown," Mina said.
"Well, we will deal with her later. Now we need to find out where those emeralds her and take them back from Greybeard," Sonic said as Mina looked out the window to worry about Minerva's intentions.
Within the mountain, Minerva holds onto a data disk filled with blueprints for all of Snively's robot designs and info on something called Forges. "This is going to be interesting. I will change this world and do it better than you did Mina. You better watch out," Minerva goes into her Nega Form and flies away to parts unknown.
