Chapter 56: Wizard Gamble Pt 1
Naugus is in the ancient city of Albion to be within his room to hold the four Chaos Emeralds. "Master, I have found the Planet Egg you seek," Infinite teleports within his room to place a green crystal holding all the life energy of the planet including Dark Gaia and Light Gaia in his reach.
"Perfect, when the first plan fails. This will be my backup plan. Now we need to go fetch the remaining Chaos Emeralds to gain my army," Naugus said as Infinite brought up a holoscreen to see GUN transfer the three emeralds to Empire City.
"Once we gain the emeralds, we can crush them," Infinite said.
"Of course, we will focus our forces on Empire City while I go in the confusion to steal the emeralds. This will put GUN on standby and will not go after us," Naugus said.
"Of course, I, the Payback sisters, and Akhlut will lead the assault on the city while you go steal the Chaos Emeralds within the vault," Infinite said.
"The time for destiny is now. Prepare the army, time to claim my prizes," Naugus said.
Elsewhere Sonic and Mina were hanging out with Cream, and Amy in Empire City with Shadow, Whisper, and Ace transferring the Chaos Emerald into the underground GUN base within the city. "Well, that does it. We delivered the Emeralds to Shadow and the others. Now we can kick back and relax here in the big city," Sonic said.
"Yeah, I heard about what happened in Dragon City. It sounds so crazy, Mina has a powerful clone running around," Cream said, worried about this.
"Don't worry, once we deal with the old wizard. We will deal with her before becoming a bigger threat," Mina said as they walked through the streets to enjoy the warm weather with Shadow, Ace, and Whisper at the GUN watching over the Chaos Emeralds.
"Gee, the reports about that Mina clone are not good," Shadow said as he heard the reports from Mina about how powerful Minerva's Nega Form is which is on par with a Hyper form that Sonic used over several years ago when he fought Eggman on the Death Egg.
"We need to keep our eyes on her after this wizard business is over," Ace said.
"I know, the beach in Empire City would be pretty nice," Whisper said as she cleaned her CAP weapon to strip out the parts to give it a deep rub down.
"Seeing you in a bikini would be a treat on the eyes Whisper," Ace flirts with the dark-skinned wolf getting flushed in the face.
"Gee, you know how to make me feel special," Whisper said as she gave him a little kiss on the cheek.
"Anything for my favorite little wolf," Ace said as Shadow was on edge about this whole thing.
"Gee, all this is very disturbing like the storm is about to hit us at any moment," Shadow said as he had a bad feeling about this.
Elsewhere Sonic, Mina, Cream, and Amy were at the shopping center for Sonic holding onto a small box that holds a silver ring with a bright emerald on top. "Hey Cream and Amy, I want to show you guys something," Sonic said.
"We will be right back Mina," Amy said.
"Okay, I will be looking at these dresses," Mina said as she looked at a wedding dress with her having lovely thoughts of her and Sonic getting married. "Oh; me and him with little hedgehogs and mongoose around us. It would be so lovely," she thought as she got naughty thoughts of her and her future husband having a lot of sex and having a big family.
Sonic takes the girls in the back to show them this. "Check this out," Sonic pulls out a small box from his box to show an engagement ring which is silver and has an emerald on top. The two girls are amazed by this with Amy being slightly jealous that Mina is getting a beautiful ring but she is happy for them regardless.
"Wow, this is so pretty," Cream said.
"How much is it worth?" Amy asked
"5000 credits and worth every bit I earned. I am going to surprise her today and ask her to marry me," Sonic said as the girls were happy.
"Oh, that is amazing," Cream said.
"Mina is a lucky girl to be with the big hero of the world," Amy said as Sonic blushed.
"Gee, it's embarrassing. With all this stuff happening, I don't want to have regrets if anything happened," Sonic said.
"I see, it will be so fun to see the look on her face," Amy said as Sonic felt nervous about this.
"Well, this will be a big surprise and it will change everything. We are going to be husband and wife soon enough," Sonic said as he was looking forward to the future with his wife and future children by his side.
"Come on, let's meet back up with Mina," Cream said as they headed back to see Mina checking out some sports bras that fit her overly large bust size.
"Oh, this is nice and just my size too," Mina said as the two girls giggled at the couple. "What is so funny Amy and Cream?" she asked as she looked over to Sonic spotting a blush on his face.
"Sonic wants to tell you something and it's very important," Cream said as she was being cheeky about it.
"Yep, the very big news is about to go down," Amy said as Mina was confused by this.
"What is happening Sonic?" she asked as Sonic took a deep breath.
"Mina, you have been the best thing that has happened to me in a long time. We have been on so many adventures together and beaten so many villains to keep this blue marble of a planet safe. Allowing us to forge a future together," Sonic said as Mina was getting lightheaded now for she felt what he was about to do.
"Sonic, what are you going to…" Mina was about to ask but an explosion rocks outside the shopping center.
"Oh, what now," Amy said as a large drill bores out of the street to pour out Egg Pawns and other Eggman robots into the city.
"A surprise attack," Mina said.
"Gees, of all times for this to happen. I need to put my little present on hold," Sonic said as Mina was confused further.
"Present?" Mina asked.
"I will show you once this is done," Sonic said as he went onto the streets to smash into groupings of Egg Pawns. Amy summons her hammer to bash into incoming Egg Flapper with Cream following up with her flying through the enemies with her baton umbrella to bash them away into cars and light poles.
Mina lobs fireballs into Egg Pawns and Egg Flappers using a Flame Boost to smash and burn through hordes of robots. "Hover," she lobs energy waves to make squads of machines float into the air with Sonic, Amy, and Cream taking them out with their attacks. They rush to the beachside of Empire City to see a familiar Mobian Orca standing on top of a giant Crabmeat.
"Hey, it's that big Orca," Mina points him out as the Akhlut leaps onto the beach with people trying to flee the area with GUN getting organized against the attack.
"Hello rodents, we are going to have good fun on the beach. You are invited," Akhlut said as he began to launch mental attacks to keep the four on their toes with the huge Crabmeat rushing at the four to knock them across the sands of the beach.
"Stupid machine," Mina is letting out a beam of flames to torch the robot but the Orca is unleashing mental attacks to make Mina break her focus. He punches the mongoose to send her into a sneak bar nearby to crash into the kitchen.
Mina landed on a table to see some fallen fries on her chest. "Oh, sweet potato fries," Mina takes them off her top and eats them up. "Pretty good, Laser," Mina goes at the speed of light to slam into the evil Orca to knock him into Amy.
"Take this," Amy knocks him into the air with Cream flying upwards to slam him down with her blunt weapon.
"Flame Somersault," Sonic engulfs himself with flames to strike at the villain to weaken him as the Crabmeat unleashes tons of energy bubbles to act as explosives to blow up sections of the beach. Cream gets caught in one of these blasts to gets knocked out by the explosion with Amy gets upset with the big robot.
"Stupid robot, take this," Amy rushes in for the large machine and swings its claw about to crush Cream to death. Amy gets in front of a young woman and knocks back the claw doing enough damage to leave a deadly crack. Amy bashes the claw with her hammer to destroy it leaving one claw left. "Don't you dare hurt Cream," Amy defended Cream from the machine with Sonic and Mina trying to take down the big Mobian but his mental attacks kept them off balance.
Akhlut punches both Sonic and Mina to knock them away with them both using a combined Boost attack to knock him into the Crabmeat to stun it. Amy leaps off the table to slam down onto the Crabmeat's head to break it slightly with her bashing into its head.
The Crabmeat lets out a blast of energy from its body to knock Amy off its head leaving it badly damaged. Amy shakes it off with the Crabmeat using its last claw to crush Amy. "Take this," Amy uses her Piko-Piko Hammer to break the last claw and leaps at the head. She swings hard enough to destroy the head of the giant machine and destroy it for good.
"Damn it," Akhlut said as he is fight back but Sonic's and Mina's attacks were too much with them both using another combined Boost to slam into the big Mobian hard enough to knock him out cold ending the fight.
"That takes care of that mess," Sonic said as they saw Amy tending to Cream who is badly injured but still alive.
"Good, she is still breathing. That wizard must be going after the Chaos Emerald. You two go ahead, I will take care of Cream here," Amy said as the two speedsters went off to the GUN Base with Shadow, Whisper, and Ace to hold off a horde of Badniks with Shadow kicking an Egg Pawn into a car breaking apart on impact.
"So many of them and I am getting reports of Badniks attacking other cities worldwide. He is making his move now," Whisper said as she set her CAP into laser mode to begin blasting Egg Flappers out of the air with Ace pulling out his burst pistol to knock out flying machines in the air.
"Chaos Spear," Shadow knocks down several flying machines to see Infinite and two female wolves in front of them. "Not you again," Shadow said as he braced himself for a fight.
"Time to end this Shadow, I will not pull punches like last time," Infinite said as he went into the GUN base with Shadow following after him.
Whisper and Ace look at the twin wolf sisters to see they have special robotic arms. "We are the Payback Sisters. We are Vex and Vix, we are here to make sure you don't get in our way," the two sisters rush at the two soldiers to engage in a close-range fight.
Whisper aims her weapon but Vex knocks it out of her hands with Whisper gets kicked in the head. Vex is firing energy blasts from her robot hands with Whisper rolling behind cover to draw out her pistol. She fires her energy bolts with Vex taking in the energy bolts in her hand and absorbing their power.
"What?" Whisper wondered as Vex released the energy to send out a shockwave which knocks Whisper backward. She notes her robotic arms can absorb energy and redirect it back at her opponents. "Something worth noting," she thought as she tosses a flash grenade to blind Vex with her drawing her knife trying to slit her throat.
"Not so fast," Vex slams her fist onto the ground to unleash a shockwave in all directions to blow Whisper away.
Whisper grabs onto a pole to swing herself at the villainous wolf to kick the sister down and stab her blade onto her back.
"Damn it," Vex tosses Whisper onto the ground. She tries to crush her skull with her metal fists but Whisper is rolling away to her CAP weapon to switch to Drone mode. She fires a disc-shaped drone to spread out laser bolts everywhere. "Shit," Vex cursed as Whisper swiftly to kicks down Vex while she is distracted and stabbed her knife through her throat killing the wolf.
Ace is using his shadow to make a black shield to block incoming energy blasts from the wolf sister. He fires his gun with Vix rolling out of the way as she fires a shockwave to send a car right for him. "Oh crap," he slides under the car to fire shots at Vix.
She is blocking them with her robotic arms to take in their energy and then powering up her shockwaves to be blown away. Vix looks over to see her sister is dead by Whisper. "No, you bitch," Vix getting angry yet distracted with Ace locking her up in a bind of shadow with her putting several rounds into her head, and taking her out permanently.
"That takes care of that," Ace said as he ran over to see his girlfriend beaten up quite badly. "Are you okay?" Ace asked as Whisper got back up.
"I am fine dearest but Shadow is dealing with Infinite. I hope he is okay," Whisper said as they both secured the area against Badnik forces.
Shadow and Infinite are fighting within the GUN base with Shadow tossing Chaos Spears with Infinite using the Time Stone to freeze the moves in place. "Eat this," Infinite lobs several orbs of lightning with Shadow leaping off the pillars to not get hit by the spells.
"Chaos Control," Shadow said as he froze time around him but Infinite is immune to this via the Time Stone's power.
"That will not work," Infinite kicks Shadow to knock him into a wall blasting out several bolts of lightning. Shadow is taking damage but he keeps pushing front to kick Infinite into a wall as he lunges at Infinite.
The jackal freezes Shadow in place with his time powers. Shadow can't move as he begins to build up energy within his body. "Not this trick again, Chaos Blast," Shadow unleashes a powerful blast of Chaos energy to knock back Infinite. "Take this," Shadow uses a Spin Dash to slam into Infinite to launch him into the wall. "Chaos Spear," Shadow pins the masked villain onto the wall while launching the last one into his chest letting them explode at once.
"No, I will not be defeated by the likes of you hedgehog. Chronos Control: Copy," Infinite uses his time powers to make clones of himself to begin peppering Shadow with tons of lightning bolts and fireballs. "I have the time of the Time Stone, you can't defeat me Shadow," Infinite said.
"Don't bet on it," Shadow is dashing away from the barrage of magic spells. "Light Speed Attack," Shadow chains multiple hits to take down all the Infinite clones.
"Chronos Control: Rewind," Infinite undue Shadow's Light Speed Attack to leave his clones intact and attack Shadow to push him into a wall. "Try again," Infinite said as he fired a beam of lightning to punch Shadow through the wall and flop into a warehouse section.
Shadow strikes a barrel filled with liquid to release gas to cover the area. He comes in to hit Infinite several times and punches him through several piles of crates.
"Stop talking," Shadow leaps towards the villain with Infinite using a time attack to hold Shadow in place.
"You can't win this Shadow," Infinite said as Shadow had a grin on his face. "What is so funny?" he asked.
"Stop talking and listen to me. I am winning, Chaos Boost," Shadow explodes with power for he becomes Chaos Shadow to emit red Chaos energy from his body.
"Chronos Control: Pause," Infinite is time-freezing Shadow but it doesn't work now. "What but how?" he questioned as Shadow swiftly dealt with him to grab onto the Time Stone and rip it off his chest leaving the jackal depowered.
"Something you can't understand," Shadow said as he unleashed a powerful blast that vaporized Infinite reducing him to dust. "Now he is gone, I need to secure the Chaos Emeralds," Shadow warps into the vault to see Naugus getting the three Chaos Emeralds. "Stop," Shadow said as Naugus cast a spell that blasted Shadow with a very powerful lightning spell which was strong enough to knock out Shadow his transformation to crash onto the floor.
"Finally, I have done it and now it's time to get my army and get out of this rock," Naugus teleports away with Sonic and Mina appearing beside Shadow.
"Gee, we are too late," Sonic said as Mina checked on Shadow who was badly injured by Naugus's spell.
"Are you okay?" Mina asked.
"Yes but now that wizard has all the Chaos Emeralds. You must stop him, recently there has been a large presence of machines to the north. We have a feeling that he has found the lost city of Albion there," Shadow said as Mina and Sonic knew what they must do.
"Seems like all the major cities are being attacked by Naugus's forces. This is a distraction from his real plan. We are the only ones who can stop him now," Mina said.
"Yeah, everyone is going to be protecting the cities while we finish this fight. Shadow, we are going after Naugus. Stay safe," Sonic said for Shadow nodded his head with him getting back onto his feet.
"Give him hell Sonic and Mina, we are counting on you," Shadow entrusting them to finish this one. The couple transforms with Mina becoming Rainbow Mina while Sonic becomes Mystic Sonic.
"Sonic, let's do this together. Let's save our world against this weirdo," Mina said as she grabbed onto his hand holding it tightly.
"Yes, let's do it to it, Mina," Sonic said as they flew out of the city to head for the lost echidna city of Albion to stop Naugus and put a stop to his plans once and for all.
