Chapter 68: Dog Eat Dog World Pt 1
Within a village in the mountains of Downunda, there is a secret complex holding up secret dog-fighting matches where homeless dogs are forced to fight for the owner's customers' entertainment. The owner of the secret dog fight club Max, a tall, grey-furred wolf Mobian, is going into his office to check out a message from his boss Anti-Big aka Smalls.
"Pitch it through," Max uses a voice command to activate the hologram to see a large rotund purple cat with a scar over his eye.
"Hello there Max, how is the business going?" Smalls asked as he sat in his chair and smoked a cigar. He inhales deeply and lets out a plume of grey smoke into the ceiling.
"Pretty good honest, my beauties are doing some good work and pulling in tons of credits which will go into your bank accounts of course," Max said as Smalls was impressed by his work.
"Seems like your love for dogs has not gotten in the way of the business side of things," Smalls said as Max goes to hug a dog beside him for the female is uncomfortable in his presence and wants to get away as soon as possible.
"Of course, I love all my bitches. So warm and pretty," Max said as he weirdly stroked the head of the female dog. He gives the female a lot of kisses on her muzzle which the dog breaks out of his grip and runs in fear of him.

"Sounds like a normal Mobian city to me," Fiona said as she smelled some delicious muffins nearby. "Oh my, that sounds awesome," Fiona said as they went over to the muffin shop to see all types of muffins on display.
"Oh, hey there fox lady, you need something?" the gentleman echidna asked.
"Yes, some chocolate chip muffin please?" Fiona asked to hand him the credits for him to take the fresh muffin in her hands.
"Thanks for your time, enjoy your food," the gentlemen said as Fiona bites into the muffin to deeply enjoy it.
"Oh, this is amazing," Fiona said as she got widened by the fresh baked good.
"Yeah, there are many wonders here like the Guardian festival coming up soon. There will be games, music, and tons of food," Belle said as Fiona was watering at that thought.
"Oh my, I bet it will taste so good," Fiona said as she saw Mina and Bunnie eating breakfast at a local café. "Yo, you gals," Fiona said as waved to the older women to greet them.
"Morning Fiona and Belle, having a nice scroll?" Bunnie asked to bite into some pancakes to lick her lips. "Oh my, this is so good," Bunnie said as Belle and Fiona sat down with the girls.
"Yep, Belle was just showing me the city. It's very beautiful here," Fiona said.
"Yes Sonic and I were walking around here and it's a lovely place. The Echidna set themselves up as a great island to live on. They will add a lot to our world and bring the Echidnas back from near destruction from Perfect Chaos," Mina said as this is a great moment of history to see the echidnas being reintroduced back into her world. "Jewel is going to go nuts over this," Mina thought.
"Yeah, and that festival is going to happen soon. I got a dress and feel beautiful for the event," Bunnie said as she finished up her pancakes.
"Yeah, it's going to be fun. Oh, the doctor needs you all to go track down an Anarchy Beryl in Downunda from a man named Max who is one of Smalls' lieutenants to help operate his criminal empire. He runs a vicious dog fighting area. Those poor dogs get abused and forced to fight to the death for the amusement of his customers," Belle said as Mina was quite angry with this.
"That is awful, this would be outright banned where I come from," Mina said as Fiona was also upset by this. "Harming helpless animals is beyond evil," Mina said as Fiona nodded her head.
"I did some bad things as a gun for hire but there are lines I will not cross including torturing animals. Just so twisted," Fiona said.
"I know right, they are so innocent and cute but these bastards want to torture some harmless puppies. I will break them in half," Bunnie said for she almost crushed the table with her robotic arm but stopped herself.
"Well, Fiona, Mina, Bunnie, and Sonic will go towards Downunda to find a hideout for Max within one of the villages in the mountain range. Take the radar and grab his gemstone from him but fair warning. Cream and her army are reported in the landmass, be careful out there," Belle said as she handed Mina the radar for them to prepare to head off with Mina running back home to meet with Sonic.
She swipes the card to unlock her door and she heads to her room to get into her travel gear to see Sonic is ready to go. "So, another adventure to Downunda Anti Mobius version," Sonic joked.
"Yes, and Anti-Cream will appear again. No distractions this time with Rosy from before," Mina said.
"Yeah we will be ready for them," Sonic said to feel confident about it.
"Indeed," she strips out of her dress and underwear to put on her travel clothing to pat her tank top and slip on her backpack to hold the portable radar. "Come on, let's head for the hanger," Mina said as they exited out of the home to go to the Echidna airport to see the stealth shuttle from before.
"We will use this to move around Moebius and sneak into areas without anyone noticing," Bunnie said as she, Fiona, Sonic, and Mina got into the shuttle with Mina and Sonic in the pilot seats. They go out of the hanger and exit out of the shield and back into the water to head for the surface.
Sonic looks back to see the energy dome protecting the island from the water's hard pressures. "Crazy, like day and night," he said.
"Remarkable technology, so deep down here," Mina said as they saw weird fish swimming around them.
"The pressure is another sort of defense, most things don't survive here and echidna tech is strong enough to go through here," Belle said on their comlinks. "I will be giving you updates through our radio chats. This is a very secure channel, don't worry about anyone breaking into it," Belle said.
"Cool," Sonic said as they ascended through the water with Fiona being curious about something to stare at Bunnie's robotic limbs.
"See something you like Fiona?" Bunnie teased her and made Fiona feel a bit embarrassed.
"Oh, sorry I was looking at your robotic parts," Fiona said to glow in the face with embarrassment to make a fool of herself with Bunnie laughing at her.
"Sorry for putting you on the spot like that, I was joking. What about my parts?" Bunnie asked.
"Why do you have them?" Fiona asked curious.
"Well, I have a disease called NIDS which is incurable by current means. I used to be fully flesh and bone attached to a robotic suit called the Omega Care Unit which suppressed my NIDS. It was sadly destroyed in a fight a long time ago and the good doctor put me in a cryo pod until he found a solution to my problems," Bunnie continues.
"He developed very powerful cybernetics to replace my infected organs and limbs. My spine was replaced with a robotic one, my right arm and legs were replaced and my organs were switched with cybernetic ones. They have been quite effective in minimizing my disease to be manageable," Bunnie said as Fiona felt sorry for her.
"Oh, that is crazy, are you okay?" she asked as Bunnie flexed her organic arm to show she was fine.
"Yep, I am good, better than ever before. I modified my cybernetic limbs for combat and keeping the doctor safe while helping him build his machine. At least I am useful here unless with my old team," Bunnie said sound signs of shame of her old life for Fiona can relate to this.
"Yes, my old life was filled with pain and longing for something more. When I try to find that happiness, it keeps being taken from me. Scourge is just another person to leave me behind like a loser," Fiona said as Bunnie placed her hand on her shoulder.
"Same here, when I have gotten my NIDS. My gang toss me aside and made me feel so useless. But now I got a purpose and real friends here who have my back. You can have that too Fiona," Bunnie said as Fiona has Belle's friendly smile in her thoughts.
"Yeah, I will do my best for you guys," Fiona said as she checked her laser pistol which is fully loaded for combat.
"Good to hear," Mina said as Sonic was piloting the shuttle out of the ocean and into the sky with the cloaking device still active.
"Next stop, Downunda," Sonic goes into high gear to make the shuttle fly into the sky.
Elsewhere Anti-Cream is leading her army to swarm a nearby village which is defenseless to her Swat Bots. "Find Max and his hideout, don't leave these mountains unturned," she ordered as they began to torch the buildings on fire and kill the people who were living in peace.
"I will prove to Miles I am better than Mina. I will have to tear down this whole mountain to do it," Anti-Cream said as she used her Quake powers to move the earth to swallow up entire buildings into the ground killing off groups of people.
Back with Mina can sense the energy coming from the mountains to see the army of robots raiding the village. "Oh no, Miles' army is on the move and they are killing people," Mina said as the robots gunned down citizens.
"We are going to stop them," Sonic said as they landed on top of a hill to keep the cloak intact to hide it from the enemy. "Let's do it," Sonic leaps off the hill to use a Bounce Attack to crush an Assault Walker turning it into scrap. He chains together a bunch of Homing Attacks to smash up Assault Drones in the air.
Mina launches waves of energy to make several groups of enemies float in the air via Hover with Fiona and Bunnie shooting them in mid-air. Fiona tosses an EMP grenade to disable a group of Swat Bots with Bunnie crushing them with her metal limbs.
"Eat this, bucketheads," Bunnie transforms her metal arm into a laser cannon to blow through a bunch of them with explosive energy bolts.
Mina summons a mini black hole to suck up as many robots as it can until it implodes wiping out a good chunk of the enemy forces. "Oh, here is the big boobed bitch here now," Cream powers up straight away to tackle Mina to launch her into an Assault Walker. She goes into her Earth Elemental state to lob several stone spears at Mina.
She summons a wall of stone to block it but the spears explode destroying her barrier. "Ghost," Mina fazes through her attacks to power up into her Rainbow form and deliver a powerful kick to knock Cream onto the grass.
Mina can see the village is on fire to see Cream's vicious attack taking a toll on the place. "Why are you doing this?" Mina asked as she flew at the evil cream to get stopped by a stone fist grabbing her off the ground. Mina powers up and destroys the rock hand in a surge of raw Hyper-Go-On energy.
She peppers the field with fireballs and lightning bolts to destroy a group of robots but Cream manages to avoid most of her attacks to get slammed by a giant thunderbolt to knock her across the grass.
"I am here to find a target and impress my master," Cream said as she raised spikes out of the ground with Mina trying to avoid them. Cream triggers them like grenades to send her flying into the air as Cream is about to toss another stone spike with Sonic using a Light Speed Attack to slam into Anti Cream.
She flies across the grass to regain her balance to see Sonic running towards her. She summons tons of rocky walls but he blasts through them with a powerful Boost attack. He curls into a ball to hit a powerful hit on Anti-Cream as Sonic goes into his mystic form to lob fireballs at her.
"That's pretty sad if you kill these people to make nice with your toxic boyfriend," Mina said as she hit her with a Hover to make her float in the air.
"Coming through," Bunnie is wielding her metal arm blade to slice up her right arm with Cream screaming in pain with blood pouring out of her severed limb. She follows up with a powerful kick to the stomach to knock her into Sonic. He strikes her hard in the back with a Diamond Dash.
"How can you understand, he gave my life purpose like the other girls under his wing. I need to be useful to him or I will be replaced. He has a thing for Mina who is his favorite," Cream said as she covered herself in stone armor to pound the ground to unleash waves of energy to knock them away. "I have failed a few times before, I am not going to fail now," Anti Cream is charging for them with Bunnie clashing with her by trading blows with her rock form.
"Sounds like a bad deal to me, Miles is doing the same thing Scourge did before. Having a bunch of pretty girls around him and tossing them aside when he gets bored with them," Bunnie said as this made Cream feel on edge.
"He is nothing like Scourge," Cream said as Bunnie slammed her metal fist into her rock chest to fire a pinpoint energy blast to knock Anti-Cream into a building.
"You don't know him as I do. He is a coward just like Scourge, once the heat turns up. He will abandon like a rotten potato and get a new one to chew on until he becomes bored again," Bunnie said as Anti Cream was feeling unsure but tried to be focused on the battle.
Anti-Cream looks at her severed arm to cover it with stone. "I will make you pay for that Buns," Cream said as she created a horde of stone golems from the ground to make them attack them.
Fiona comes in to toss flash bangs to blind Cream as she lands sticky grenades to blast apart her stone armor to leave her vulnerable.
"Sounds like you got it bad for Miles, it's not worth it. He is a smug bag like Scourge. I learned that the hard and you girls will find that out soon when he finds a new toy to play with," Fiona said firing her laser pistol with Anti-Cream creating a wall of stone to defend herself.
"Mina," Cream said as she was insecure about her place with her recent failures and Anti-Mina getting closer to Miles. "Damn it," Cream said as Sonic, Bunnie, Mina, and Fiona smash her army of rock golems.
Bunnie smashes a golem with her robot limbs to speed up the evil rabbit. Anti-Cream is unleashing waves of energy trying to stop Bunnie but she shrouds herself in an energy barrier to protect her from taking damage. She grabs the leg of a golem and beats Cream with it to knock her onto the ground. She keeps bashing Anti Cream with the golem until it is reduced to rubble.
Sonic traps her in a sphere of wind as razor-sharp air cuts into her body with Mina superheating the sphere making it explode. Fiona tosses grenades onto a cliff to cause a rockslide to head for Anti Cream.
"Oh crap," Cream creates a dome of the earth but Bunnie and Mina fire energy beams to destroy the dome while the rocks begin to crush her from her weight. "I will not lose," Cream explodes with power to punch Fiona to send her flying into a building.
Bunnie uses her metal arm to grab her remaining arm to crush it making it unusable. Sonic and Mina use Light Speed Attack and Laser to slam into Cream to send her crashing through several buildings to smash onto the earth.
Sonic summons a mound of earth to entomb Cream with Mina and Bunnie tackling her to damage her further. Bunnie sliced up her legs to leave Cream with no more limbs to move to be completely harmless.
"No, I will not give up," Anti Cream feels her power fading away as she begins to cry with tears falling onto the grass. "Miles I am so useless, I am sorry," Cream said as Bunnie grabbed her head and put the blade to her neck.
"Sorry, darling. Miles don't care about you and he will leave your body here to rot," Bunnie said staring her right in the eyes to know deep down Bunnie was right. Cream submits to her fate and lets Bunnie slit her throat. Blood pours onto the grass and as she chokes on it dying a slow death.
Miles can see this through an assault drone to disappear with Cream. "Oh well, Cream, so worthless even if you try so hard. Retreat, let Sonic and the others deal with Max for me," Miles said as his robotic forces left the area to leave the dead Cream behind proving Bunnie and the others right.
"Poor Cream, she was like me once trying to prove your love to someone who doesn't give a damn in the first place," Bunnie said as Fiona's feelings are mutual on that one. Bunnie looks down to see Cream's big dead eyes staring at the sky finally free of Miles' grip.
"We need to keep moving. We still need to find the Anarchy Beryl," Sonic said as Bunnie put Cream into a ditch and buried her.
"Hope you find peace Cream," Bunnie said as they continued on their mission to find the gemstone in the mountains of Downunda.
